In the following description, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a more thorough understanding of the present invention. It will be apparent, however, to one skilled in the art, that embodiments of the invention may be practiced without one or more of these specific details. In other instances, well-known features have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the embodiments of the invention.

In the following description, a detailed structure will be presented for a thorough understanding of embodiments of the invention. It is apparent that the implementation of the embodiments of the present invention is not limited to the specific details familiar to those skilled in the art. The following detailed description of the preferred embodiments of the invention, however, the invention is capable of other embodiments in addition to those detailed.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, there are provided a cooking appliance and a control method for the same.

The cooking utensil shown by the invention can be an electric cooker, an electric pressure cooker, an electric stewpan and the like.

As shown in fig. 1, the cooking appliance 100 according to the present invention includes a cover 120 and a pot body 110. The pot body 110 is substantially in a rounded rectangular parallelepiped shape and has a cylindrical inner pot receiving portion into or from which the inner pot 111 can be freely put or taken out to facilitate cleaning of the inner pot 111. The upper surface of the inner pot 111 has a circular opening for containing a material to be heated, such as rice, soup, etc., therein. The bottom of the inner pan 111 is typically also provided with heating means 180 for heating the inner pan. It is understood that the cooking appliance 100 according to the present invention may cook other miscellaneous grain rice such as bean rice, in addition to rice. The cooking appliance 100 will be described in detail below, taking rice cooking as an example.

The cover 120 has a substantially rounded rectangular parallelepiped shape and substantially corresponds to the shape of the pot body 110. The lid body 120 is pivotally connected to the pot body 110 in an openable and closable manner for covering the pot body 110 and constituting a cooking space between the inner pot 111 and the lid body 120.

As shown in fig. 2, the cooking appliance 100 further includes a control device 130. The control device 130 includes a main control chip, which may be electrically connected to functional elements of the cooking appliance 100, such as the heating device 180, and send signals to control the functional elements to perform corresponding operations. According to the present invention, a Real-Time Clock (RTC) module is disposed in the main control chip, so that the control device 130 can implement a Real-Time timing function.

It can be understood that the main control chip needs to consume electric energy when executing the real-time timing function. As shown in fig. 2, the cooking appliance 100 includes a timing power source 140 for supplying power to the control device 130. In one embodiment, the timing power source 140 may be a battery disposed on the cooking appliance 100. In addition, the cooking appliance 100 is also connected with a main power supply 150 for supplying power to the cooking appliance 100 for performing a cooking function. Wherein the main power supply 150 may be mains power. The control device 130 may also implement a timing function when it is powered only by the main power supply 150. However, since the cooking appliance 100 does not maintain a continuously connected state with the main power supply 150, the control device 130 cannot time in real time when only the main power supply 150 supplies power, and thus it is inconvenient to adopt a real-time timing function. The normal timing function may be selected at this time. The timing manner of the ordinary timing function may include a countdown or other timing manner that is not limited by actual time.

Preferably, the real-time timing function of the control device 130 can be synchronized with the beijing time. However, the timing of the control device 130 can also be synchronized with the times of other time zones, if desired.

In addition, the cooking appliance 100 further includes a prompt device 160 and a display device 170. The display device 170 may be a display screen for displaying information, or the like. The prompting device 160 is used for sending out prompting information for prompting the user. For example, the prompting device 160 can be a diode, a speaker, a buzzer, and/or the like. Accordingly, the prompt may be light and/or sound. In addition, the display device 170 may also function as a presentation device, that is, it has both display and presentation functions. For example, the display device 170 may display the prompt information by text.

Since the control device 130 has a timing function, the user can conveniently make cooking reservation through the control device 130. To avoid that the timing power source 140, such as a battery, affects the timing function of the control device 130 due to a reduced power level. According to the present invention, the control device 130 is configured to be able to detect the voltage of the timing power source 140 and select one of the real-time timing function or the ordinary timing function for timing according to the detection result.

Fig. 3 shows a circuit schematic of the control device 130 measuring the voltage of the timing power supply 140. Wherein D1, D2, D3, D4 and D5 are diodes, and C1, C2 and C3 are filter capacitors. The positive pole of the timing power source 140 is connected to the positive pole of the diode D3, and the negative pole of the diode D3 is connected to the detection interface 131 of the main control chip of the control device 130. The detection interface 131 is an analog/digital converter in the main control chip. By detecting the AD value of the analog/digital converter, the main control chip converts the AD value into a corresponding voltage value, and thereby detects the voltage value of the timer power supply 140. The primary function of the D1, D2, and D3 diodes is to isolate the +5V power supply from the timing power supply 140. AVREF is the power supply for the detection interface 131 and VDD is the power supply for the main control chip. The voltage of the timing power supply 140 is below 5V. When the main power supply 150 is connected to the cooking appliance 100, +5V supplies power to VDD of the main control chip through the diode D1, +5V supplies power to the detection interface 131 in the main control chip through the diodes D4 and D5. When the main power supply 150 is not connected to the cooking appliance 100, the power supply 140 supplies power to the VDD of the main control chip through the diode D2.

The control method will be described in detail with reference to the flowchart shown in fig. 4.

First, when the cooking appliance 100 turns on the main power 150, the control device 130 first detects the voltage of the timer power 140 and compares the detection result with a predetermined voltage. If the detection result is greater than or equal to the predetermined voltage, it indicates that the timing power source 140 has sufficient power, which can support the control device 130 to perform the real-time timing function. Thus, the control device 130 can select the real-time timer function to perform timing. If the detection result is less than the predetermined voltage, it indicates that the timing power 140 is under-voltage, the power is insufficient, or the timing power 140 is not mounted to the cooking appliance 100. Thus, the control device 130 can perform only a normal timing function, for example, a countdown manner, with the power supply of the main power supply 150. Preferably, when the detection result of the control device 130 is less than the predetermined voltage, it may control the prompting device 160 to issue the prompting message. Therefore, the user is reminded that the timing power supply 140 is insufficient in electric quantity and is replaced in time.

It will be appreciated that the voltage of a power source such as a battery is typically less than 3.8V. The predetermined voltage V1 for measuring the power of the timing power source 140 may have a value range of: v1 is more than or equal to 2.2V and less than or equal to 3.0V. For example, V1 may take on a value of 2.2V, 2.5V, 2.7V, or 3V. Thus, the degree of the electric power in the timer power supply 140 can be accurately determined.

After the control device 130 selects a certain timing function, the user can perform cooking reservation according to the timing function selected by the control device 130. Preferably, the control device 130 may display the currently selected time keeping function thereof through the display device 170.

Specifically, if the control device 130 selects the real-time timer function, the control device 130 can keep the timer synchronized in real time with a time such as the beijing time regardless of the state (standby state, set state, whether or not on with the main power supply 150, and the like). If the user sets a cooking function with a reserved time at a point of time of beijing time t1, the reserved time t1 displayed on the display device 170 refers to a time when the reserved cooking function starts or completes.

For example: the current Beijing time of the electric cooking appliance is 13 o ' clock 45 minutes, the user selects the cooking function, and selects the reservation time to be 18 o ' clock 00 minutes, which means that the cooking function (cooking) is finished at the moment of 18 o ' clock 00 of the Beijing time. Under the Beijing time mode, the user can directly select the time point of 18 points and 00 minutes of the Beijing time without calculating the reserved time when using the reservation function, so that the user can use the reservation function more conveniently, and the use experience is improved.

On the other hand, if the control device 130 selects the ordinary time counting function, the display device 170 cannot display the time point of the beijing time, which is displayed as a time period after a certain time point has elapsed. If the consumer sets the reserved time t2, the reserved time t2 displayed on the display device 170 refers to a time length required for the cooking function to be reserved, that is: the scheduled cooking function is just completed after the time t2 is reached.

For example: the user selects the cooking function, the current Beijing time is 13 hours and 45 minutes, the user wants to finish cooking at 18 hours and 00 minutes in the Beijing time, the user needs to calculate at the moment, the required reservation time is 4 hours and 15 minutes after calculation, and then the user sets the reservation time to be 4 hours and 15 minutes. The control means 130 counts time by a general timing function (e.g., countdown) and controls the cooking function (cooking) to be completed after 4 hours and 15 minutes.
