Technical Field

One or more embodiments disclosed herein relate to a User Equipment (UE) that controls wireless transmission and reception based on a media access Control Element (MAC CE) activation command.

Background

In a New Radio (NR; fifth generation (5G) Radio access technology) system, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) mechanism is used to set a candidate set of downlink Reference Signals (RSs). For example, a higher layer parameter Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) state is received by a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) for a UE and controlled by a MAC CE activation command from a Base Station (BS).

However, in the conventional approach, the MAC CE timing design for PDCCH beam indication has not been determined, that is, how the UE performs PDCCH reception based on the MAC CE activation order. Furthermore, MAC CE timing design for Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) and Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) beam indications is not defined.

Detailed Description

Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In embodiments of the present invention, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a more thorough understanding of the present invention. It will be apparent, however, to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known features have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the invention.

Fig. 1 is a diagram illustrating a wireless communication system 1 in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present invention. The wireless communication system 1 may be a New Radio (NR) system.

The wireless communication system 1 includes a User Equipment (UE)10, a gdnodeb (gnb)20, and a core network 30. The wireless communication system 1 is not limited to the specific settings described herein and may be any type of wireless communication system, such as an LTE/LTE-Advanced (LTE-a) system. The wireless communication system 1 may control an operation for beam indication for PDCCH, PDSCH and PUCCH based on the MAC CE activation command.

The gNB20 may be a station that communicates with the UE10, and may also be referred to as a Base Station (BS), a Transmission and Reception Point (TRP), an access Point, and the like. The gNB20 may provide communication coverage areas for particular geographic areas, which may be referred to as cells.

The gNB20 includes an antenna, a communication interface (e.g., X2 interface) communicating with the adjacent gNB20, a communication interface (e.g., S1 interface) communicating with the core network 30, and a CPU (Central Processing Unit) such as a processor or a circuit that processes signals transmitted and received with the UE 10. The operations of the gNB20 may be implemented by a processor processing or executing data and programs stored in memory. However, the gNB20 is not limited to the hardware settings set forth above, and may be implemented by other suitable hardware settings as understood by one of ordinary skill in the art. Many gnbs 20 may be arranged to cover a wider service area of the wireless communication system 1.

The UEs 10 may be dispersed throughout the wireless communication system 1, and each UE10 may be fixed or mobile. The UE10 may be referred to as a terminal, mobile station, subscriber unit, or station. The UE10 may be a cellular phone, a smart phone, a tablet, a sensor, a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), a wireless modem, a netbook, a smartbook, a wireless communication device, a handheld device, a laptop computer, a cordless phone, a Wireless Local Loop (WLL) station, or an information processing apparatus with wireless communication functionality such as a wearable device. The UE10 may communicate with the gNB(s) 20.

The UE10 includes a CPU such as a processor, a RAM (Random Access Memory), a flash Memory, and a wireless communication device to transmit/receive wireless signals to/from the gNB20 and the UE 10. For example, the operations of the UE10 described below may be implemented by the CPU processing or executing data and programs stored in the memory. However, the UE10 is not limited to the hardware setting set forth above, and may be set using, for example, a circuit for realizing the processing described below.

In the wireless communication system 1, Uplink (UL) communication may indicate communication from the UE10 to the gNB 20. Downlink (DL) communication may indicate communication from the gNB20 to the UE 10. Each gNB20 includes at least one radio frequency transmitter and at least one receiver for communicating with UEs that may move freely around the gNB 20. Similarly, each UE10 includes at least one radio frequency transmitter and at least one receiver for communicating with the gNB 20.

In one or more embodiments of the invention, the use of Multiple antennas and associated baseband signal processing at both a transmission point (e.g., the gNB20 or UE 10) and a reception point (e.g., the UE10 or gNB 20) in the wireless communication system 1 may be referred to as Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) techniques. In MU-MIMO systems, precoding is applied at a transmitting point in order to suppress mutual interference experienced by each receiving point due to transmissions to other receiving points. MU-MIMO precoding is a spatial coding of the transmitted signal based on the propagation channel. In order to apply MU-MIMO precoding, a transmitting point is required to know Channel State Information (CSI) of a wireless channel connecting the transmitting point to each receiving point for transmission. In the wireless communication system 1, a reception point (e.g., UE 10) may measure CSI and report the measured CSI to a transmission point (e.g., gNB 20) via an UL feedback channel. Reporting CSI may be referred to as CSI feedback. The CSI feedback includes at least one of a CSI Reference Signal (CSI-RS) Indicator (CRI), a Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) value, a Rank Indicator (RI), a Precoding Matrix Indicator (PMI), and a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) for each DL Component Channel (CC).

In one or more embodiments of the invention, several types of physical channels are used for DL transmission in the wireless communication system 1. The physical channel may carry information from higher layers in the 5G stack. In contrast to physical signals, physical channels can convey information used only within a Physical (PHY) layer. For example, the DL Physical Channel may be a PDSCH, a Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH), a Physical Multicast Channel (PMCH), a Physical Control Format Indicator Channel (PCFICH), a PDCCH, and a Physical Hybrid ARQ indicator Channel (PHICH). For example, the UL physical channel may be a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) and a PUCCH.

In one or more embodiments of the present invention, the wireless communication system 1 may utilize at least one of a Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) mode and a Time Division Duplex (TDD) mode. In the FDD mode, DL and UL channels may be allocated to different frequency channels, respectively, and DL transmission and UL transmission may be simultaneously performed on the two frequency channels. In TDD mode, the DL channel and the DL channel may share the same frequency channel, and DL transmission and UL transmission may be transmitted on the same frequency channel in different time periods.

For both FDD mode and TDD mode, the subframes used for DL may be referred to as DL subframes. The subframe for UL may be referred to as a UL subframe. The CC set for the FDD mode may be referred to as an FDD CC. The CC set for TDD may be referred to as TDDCC. A subframe may be referred to as a slot.

For both FDD and TDD modes, at least one of a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and other physical channels may be transmitted in a control region of a DL subframe within a cell. The PDCCH may carry DL Control Information (DCI) such as a DL grant (grant), a UL grant, and the like. The cell may also transmit a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) and/or other physical channels in the data region of the DL subframe. The PDSCH may carry data for the UE scheduled for data transmission on the DL.

For both TDD and FDD modes, the UE10 may send the PUCCH in the control region of the UL subframe or the PUSCH in the data region of the UL subframe. For example, the PUCCH may carry Channel State Information (CSI) indicating a channel state of the DL and a scheduling request. The PUSCH may carry at least one of user data and CSI.

The wireless communication system 1 may support operation with multiple CCs, which may be referred to as Carrier Aggregation (CA) or multi-carrier operation. The UE10 may be set with a plurality of CCs for DL and one or more CCs for UL for carrier aggregation. The gNB20 may transmit data and Downlink Control Information (DCI) on one or more CCs to the UE 10. The UE10 may send data and CSI on one or more CCs to the gNB 20.

Fig. 2 is a flow diagram illustrating example operations in the wireless communication system 1 in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present invention. As shown in fig. 2, at step S11, the gNB20 transmits a MAC CE activation command provided by the PDSCH to the UE 10. At step S12, the UE10 transmits Hybrid ARQ (HARQ) for the MAC CE activation command to the gNB. At step S13, the UE10 applies a MAC CE activation command to the PDCCH after a predetermined time slot from the transmission of the HARQ. As a result, the UE10 performs PDCCH reception, PDSCH reception, or PUCCH transmission and PDCCH, PDSCH, or PUCCH beam indication. Corresponding actions according to one or more embodiments of the present invention may be applied based on the MAC CE activation command.

In the conventional standard, when the UE10 receives the MAC CE activation command, there is no definition of how and when the UE10 performs the corresponding action that should be applied. One or more embodiments of the present invention provide a method of elucidating the process of performing a corresponding action upon receipt of a MAC CE activation command. Further, one or more embodiments of the invention cause the gNB20 to confirm the time at which the MAC CE activation command was applied in the UE 10. MAC CE timing design for PDCCH, PDSCH and PUCCH beam indication according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described below.

(MAC CE timing design for PDCCH beam indication)

Fig. 3 is a diagram illustrating an example operation at the UE10 for PDCCH reception based on a MAC CE activation command in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present invention. In fig. 3, the horizontal axis represents the time domain. The time domain in fig. 3 may be referred to as a slot. A subframe consists of one or more slots. For example, if 1 subcarrier is 15kHz, 1 subframe is 1 slot, and the slot length is 1 millisecond. If 1 subcarrier is 30kHz, 1 subframe consists of 2 slots. If 1 subcarrier is 60kHz, 1 subframe consists of 4 slots. If 1 subcarrier is 120kHz, 1 subframe consists of 8 slots. The slot "n" indicates a slot number.

As shown in fig. 3, the gNB20 sends one or more TCI states to the UE10 for PDCCH reception at the UE10 using Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling. In the example of FIG. 3, the TCI states may be 8 TCI states #1- # 8. The TCI state is set by the UE10 through RRC signaling. In this example, the TCI status indicates a beam for PDCCH reception. The beam used for PDCCH reception may be referred to as a PDCCH resource.

Further, the TCI status for PDCCH reception indicates a quasi-co-location (QCL) relationship between one or more DL RSs (e.g., CSI-RSs) and ports of a predetermined Signal (e.g., Demodulation Reference Signal (DM-RS) and Synchronization Signal (SS)) for PDCCH. The TCI state associates one or more DL RSs with a corresponding QCL type. QCL types have four different types of QCLs, e.g., QCL types A, B, C and D. In one or more embodiments of the present invention, the corresponding QCL type may be QCL type D including spatial Rx parameters indicating DL beam indication.

Then, the gNB20 transmits a MAC CE activation command for one of the TCI states to the UE10 using the PDSCH. In the example of fig. 3, one of the TCI states to be activated based on the MAC CE activation command may be TCI state # 2.

When the UE10 receives the MAC CE activation command, the UE10 transmits HARQ for the MAC CE activation command to the gNB20 in slot "n". HARQ is called HARQ-Ack. The slot "n" indicates a slot number.

In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present invention, the UE10 may apply a MAC CE activation command to one of the TCI states (e.g., TCI state #2) in slot "n + k" based on the reception of the MAC CE activation command. The value "k" is the number of slots. The slot "n + k" indicates a slot number.

Accordingly, the UE10 may apply the MAC CE activation command for "k" slots after slot "n" in which the UE10 transmits HARQ as HARQ-Ack, and receive the PDCCH using the activated TCI state in slot "n + k". Applying the MAC CE activation command in time slot "n + k" may be an example of a corresponding action in the UE 10. On the other hand, when the UE10 generates and transmits a HARQ-Nack for the MAC CE activation command, the UE10 does not apply the MAC CE activation command for "k" slots "following the slot" n "in which the UE10 transmits the HARQ-Nack.

In one or more embodiments of the invention, the value "k" may be a predetermined fixed value defined in the 3GPP specifications, for example. As another example, value "k" may be set through RRC signaling. That is, the gNB20 may notify the UE10 of the value "k" using RRC signaling. As another example, at least one of the MAC CE and Downlink Control Information (DCI) may be used to dynamically switch "k".

As a result, the UE10 can perform PDCCH reception on the beam indicated by the activated one of the TCI states k slots after the slot in which the UE10 transmits HARQ.

Accordingly, one or more embodiments of the present invention may provide a UE10 that: when the UE10 receives a MAC CE activation command for one of the TCI states for PDCCH reception, the UE10 properly receives the PDCCH by applying the MAC CE activation command for "k" slots after the slot "n" in which the UE10 transmits HARQ.

Fig. 4 is a sequence diagram illustrating an example operation in the wireless communication system 1 according to one or more embodiments of the present invention.

As shown in fig. 4, at step S101, the gNB20 transmits a TCI status for PDCCH reception to the UE10 via RRC signaling.

Then, at step S102, the gNB20 transmits a MAC CE activation command for one of the TCI states for PDCCH reception to the UE10 using the PDSCH.

At step S103, the UE10 transmits HARQ for the received MAC CE activation command in slot "n" and applies the MAC CE activation command in slot "n + k".

At step S104, when the gNB20 receives HARQ from the UE10, the gNB20 transmits PDCCH to the UE10 in slot "n + k". The UE10 receives the PDCCH in the slot "n + k" based on the MAC CE activation command.

As another example of PDCCH reception based on reception of a MAC CE activation command, a non-fixed (ambulantory) timeline may be considered. As shown in fig. 5, when the UE10 receives a MAC CE activation command for one of the TCI states, the corresponding action for PDCCH reception and TCI state may be applied in the UE10 no later than a minimum requirement and/or no earlier than slot "n + X". The time slot "n" is a time slot in which the UE10 receives the MAC CE activation command. The slot "n + X" indicates a slot number. For example, the value "X" may be a predetermined fixed value defined in the 3GPP specification. As another example, "X" may be set through RRC signaling. As another example, the "X" may be dynamically switched using at least one of the MAC CE and the DCI.

As another example of PDCCH reception based on reception of a MAC CE activation command, the value "k" in fig. 3 may be 2k ', where k' is a slot number defined in section 9.2.3 of 3GPP TS 38.213 for PDSCH HARQ reception.

(MAC CE timing design for PDSCH Beam indication)

Fig. 6 is a diagram illustrating example operations at the UE10 for PDSCH reception based on a MAC CE activation command in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present invention.

As shown in fig. 6, the gNB20 sends multiple TCI states to the UE10 using RRC signaling. For example, 32 TCI states may be set for the UE10 through RRC signaling. In this example, the TCI status indicates a beam used for PDSCH reception. The beams used for PDSCH reception may be referred to as resources or PDSCH resources.

Further, the TCI status indicates a QCL relationship between one or more DL RSs (e.g., CSI-RS) and ports of predetermined signals (e.g., DM-RS and SS) for the PDSCH. The TCI state associates one or more DL RSs with a corresponding QCL type (such as QCL type D including spatial Rx parameters).

Then, the gNB20 transmits a MAC CE activation command to the UE 10. The MAC CE activation command indicates an activated TCI state among the set TCI states for the PDSCH. The maximum number of TCIs activated is 8.

When the UE10 receives the MAC CE activation command, the UE10 transmits HARQ for the MAC CE activation command to the gNB20 in slot "n". The value "n" is the slot number.

The gNB20 transmits DCI including a DCI field "Transmission configuration indication (Transmission configuration indication)" indicating an activated (predetermined) TCI state for the scheduled PDSCH to the UE 10. The activated TCI state for the scheduled PDSCH state may be mapped to a code point in the DCI field. On the other hand, inactive TCI states may not be mapped to code points in the DCI field.

The UE10 may apply mapping from each of the activated TCI states indicated in the MAC CE activation command to a code point of the DCI field "transmission setting indication" at "k" slots after the slot "n" in which the UE10 transmits HARQ. The value "k" is the number of slots. Accordingly, the UE10 may apply one of the activated TCI states corresponding to the activated (predetermined) TCI indicated in the DCI for "k" slots after the slot "n" in which the UE10 transmits HARQ.

As a result, the UE10 performs PDSCH reception on the beam indicated by the at least one activated TCI state set to the activated state.

In one or more embodiments of the invention, "k" may be a predetermined fixed value defined in the 3GPP specifications, for example. As another example, "k" may be set through RRC signaling. That is, the gNB20 may notify the UE10 of "k" using RRC signaling. As another example, at least one of the MAC CE and the DCI may be used to dynamically switch "k".

Fig. 7 is a sequence diagram illustrating an example operation in the wireless communication system 1 according to one or more embodiments of the present invention.

As shown in fig. 7, at step S201, the gNB20 transmits one or more TCI states for PDSCH reception to the UE10 via RRC signaling.

Then, at step S202, the gNB20 transmits a MAC CE activation command for activating one or more TCI states (i.e., beams) for the PDSCH to the UE 10.

At step S203, the UE10 transmits HARQ for the received MAC CE activation command in slot n.

At step S204, the gNB20 transmits DCI including the DCI field "transmission setting indication" to the UE 10.

At step S204, the UE10 transmits DCI including the DCI field "transmission setting indication" to the UE 10. The DCI indicates an activated TCI status for a scheduled PDSCH for PDSCH reception.

At step S205, the UE10 applies the MAC CE activation command at "k" slots after the slot "n" in which the UE10 transmits HARQ. The UE10 performs PDSCH reception on a PDSCH beam corresponding to the activated TCI state based on the MAC CE activation command, which is set to the activated state.

As another example of PDCCH reception based on reception of a MAC CE activation command, a non-fixed timeline may be considered. As shown in fig. 8, when the UE10 receives a MAC CE activation command for one of the TCI states, the corresponding action with respect to the TCI state for PDSCH reception may be applied in the UE10 no later than a minimum requirement and/or no earlier than slot "n + X". The slot "n" is a slot in which the UE10 receives the MAC CE activation command via the PDSCH.

(MAC CE timing design for PUCCH beam indication)

Fig. 9 is a diagram illustrating an example operation at the UE10 for PUCCH transmission based on a MAC CE activation command in accordance with one or more embodiments of the present invention.

As shown in fig. 9, the gNB20 notifies the UE10 of one or more spatial relationship information settings for PUCCH transmission using RRC signaling. The spatial relationship information setting may be a value for PUCCH-SpatialRelationInfoId and indicates a beam for PUCCH transmission. The beam used for PUCCH transmission may be referred to as a PUCCH resource.

Then, the gNB20 transmits a MAC CE activation command for activating one of the spatial relationship information settings for the PUCCH to the UE10 using the PDSCH. The MAC CE activation command may indicate a value of PUCCH-spatialrelalationlnfoid.

When the UE10 receives the MAC CE activation command, the UE10 transmits HARQ for the MAC CE activation command to the gNB20 in slot "n". The value "n" is the slot number.

According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, the UE10 may apply a MAC CE activation command to one of the spatial relationship information settings for the PUCCH in the slot "n + k" based on the reception of the MAC CE activation command. That is, the UE10 will know the beam used for the PUCCH resource in slot "n + k". The value "k" is the number of slots. The slot "n + k" indicates a slot number.

Thus, the UE10 may apply the MAC CE activation command and activate one of the spatial relationship information settings after "k" slots of slot "n" in which the UE10 transmits HARQ. The UE10 performs PUCCH transmission on a beam indicated by the activated one of the spatial relationship information settings.

Fig. 10 is a sequence diagram illustrating an example operation for PUCCH transmission based on a MAC CE activation command in the wireless communication system 1 according to one or more embodiments of the present invention.

As shown in fig. 10, at step S301, the gNB20 transmits one or more spatial relationship information settings for PUCCH resources to the UE10 via RRC signaling.

Then, at step S302, the gNB20 transmits a MAC CE activation command for activating one of the spatial relationship information settings for the PUCCH resources to the UE10 using the PDSCH.

At step S303, the UE10 transmits HARQ for the received MAC CE activation command in slot "n" and applies the MAC CE activation command in slot "n + k".

At step S304, the UE10 will know the beam used for the PUCCH resource in slot "n + k". The UE10 may transmit the PUCCH using the beam for the PUCCH resource.

As another example of PUCCH transmission based on reception of a MAC CE activation command, a non-fixed timeline may be considered. As shown in fig. 11, when the UE10 receives a MAC CE activation command for one of the spatial relationship information settings for the PUCCH, the corresponding action may be applied in the UE10 no later than the minimum requirement and/or no earlier than the slot "n + X". The slot "n" is a slot in which the UE10 receives the MAC CE activation command via the PDSCH. The slot "n + X" indicates a slot number. For example, the value "X" may be a predetermined fixed value defined in the 3GPP specification. As another example, "X" may be set through RRC signaling. As another example, the "X" may be dynamically switched using at least one of the MAC CE and the DCI.

As another example of PUCCH transmission based on reception of a MAC CE activation command, the value "k" in fig. 3 may be 2k ', where k' is a slot number defined in section 9.2.3 of 3GPP TS 38.213 for PDSCH HARQ reception.

One or more embodiments of the present invention may design MAC CE content for beam indication. According to one or more embodiments of the present invention, a bitmap approach similar to the MAC CE design for aperiodic CSI-RS defined in 3GPP TS 36.321, section 6.1.3.14 may be applied. In the MAC CE design, N bits are used for N TCI status/spatial relationship information settings. As another example, a compressed MAC CE signaling design for TCI status/spatial relationship information setting activation/deactivation may be applied.

One or more embodiments of the present invention may avoid timeline ambiguity for the UE10 and the gNB20 after receiving the MAC CE activation command by stating when the MAC CE activation command is applied in the UE 10.

One or more embodiments of the present invention may be used for timing design for PUCCH/PDCCH/PDSCH beam indication to complete the beam indication process using MIMO technology, thereby ensuring system operation and providing high reliability service.

(setting of base station)

The BS 20 according to one or more embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to fig. 12. Fig. 12 is a diagram illustrating a schematic setup of the BS 20 according to one or more embodiments of the present invention. The BS 20 may include a plurality of antennas (antenna element group) 201, an amplifier 202, a transceiver (transmitter/receiver) 203, a baseband signal processor 204, a call processor 205, and a transmission path interface 206.

User data transmitted on the DL from the BS 20 to the UE 20 is input from the core network 30 into the baseband signal processor 204 through the transmission path interface 206.

In the baseband signal processor 204, the signal is subjected to Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer processing, such as Radio Link Control (RLC) layer transmission processing of division and coupling of user data and RLC retransmission Control transmission processing, including MAC retransmission Control such as HARQ transmission processing, scheduling, transport format selection, channel coding, Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) processing, and precoding processing. The resulting signal is then forwarded to each transceiver 203. For the signal of the DL control channel, a transmission process including channel coding and inverse fast fourier transform is performed, and the resultant signal is transmitted to each transceiver 203.

The baseband signal processor 204 notifies each UE10 of control information (system information) for communication in the cell through higher layer signaling (e.g., RRC signaling and broadcast channel). The information used for communication in a cell includes, for example, UL or DL system bandwidth.

In each transceiver 203, the baseband signal precoded for each antenna and output from the baseband signal processor 204 is subjected to frequency conversion processing to be converted into a radio frequency band. The amplifier 202 amplifies the radio frequency signal that has undergone frequency conversion, and transmits the resultant signal from the antenna 201.

For data to be transmitted from the UE10 to the BS 20 on the UL, a radio frequency signal is received in each antenna 201, amplified in an amplifier 202, subjected to frequency conversion and converted into a baseband signal in a transceiver 203, and input to a baseband signal processor 204.

The baseband signal processor 204 performs FFT processing, IDFT processing, error correction decoding, MAC retransmission control reception processing, and RLC layer and PDCP layer reception processing on user data included in the received baseband signal. The resulting signal is then forwarded to the core network 30 through the transmit path interface 206. The call processor 205 performs call processing such as setting up and releasing a communication channel, manages the state of the BS 20, and manages radio resources.

(setting of user device)

The UE10 according to one or more embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to fig. 13. Fig. 13 is a schematic set-up of a UE10 according to one or more embodiments of the invention. The UE10 has a plurality of UE antennas 101, an amplifier 102, circuitry 103 including a transceiver (transmitter/receiver) 1031, a controller 104, and applications 105.

For DL, radio frequency signals received in the UE antenna 101 are amplified in respective amplifiers 102 and frequency-converted into baseband signals in the transceiver 1031. These baseband signals undergo reception processing such as FFT processing, error correction decoding, retransmission control, and the like in the controller 104. The DL user data is forwarded to the application 105. The application 105 performs processing related to a physical layer and higher layers above the MAC layer. In the downlink data, the broadcast information is also forwarded to the application 105.

On the other hand, UL user data is input from the application 105 to the controller 104. In the controller 104, retransmission control (hybrid ARQ) transmission processing, channel coding, precoding, DFT processing, IFFT processing, and the like are performed, and the resultant signal is forwarded to each transceiver 1031. In the transceiver 1031, the baseband signal output from the controller 104 is converted into a radio frequency band. Thereafter, the frequency-converted radio frequency signal is amplified in the amplifier 102 and then transmitted from the antenna 101.
