Background

In the current equipment with a filtering device, such as a range hood and an air purifier, along with the operation of the equipment, the filtering device (mainly a filtering net) in the equipment can cover a large amount of impurities, such as oil smoke or dust particles, due to long-term operation. In order to remove these impurities covering the filter device in a timely manner, the filter device needs to be cleaned or replaced.

In order to ensure timely cleaning or replacement of the filtering device in the equipment, the method is mainly realized by timing the accumulated working time of the fan in the equipment. That is, an accumulated time threshold value representing that the filtering device needs to be cleaned/replaced is set when the equipment leaves the factory, and once the accumulated running time of the fan reaches the accumulated time threshold value, a user is reminded to perform cleaning treatment or replacement treatment on the filtering device in the equipment as soon as possible.

However, this method of detecting whether the filter device needs to be replaced or cleaned does not take into consideration the effect of the altitude on the operating state of the motor in the device. This is because the atmospheric pressure value in the area is different due to different altitudes, and the main function of the fan in the device is to discharge the air in the volute of the device out of the cavity by the operation of the motor. Because a negative pressure area is formed between the air inlet of the equipment and the fan, when the atmospheric pressure value of the area where the equipment is located is different, the motor can discharge the air with the same volume to the outside of the cavity of the equipment with different work required to be done under the condition that the filtering device can reach the same unobstructed degree. Of course, when the equipment works in different altitude areas, the impurity amount filtered by the motor running in the same gear for the same time is also different. Therefore, setting the accumulated time threshold to expect detection of filter replacement in the device is not accurate enough, and may also affect the user experience.
