The invention aims to overcome the defects in the prior art and provide a light fire hose, wherein nylon filaments are used for the fire hose to replace conventional polyester filaments so as to reduce the weight of the fire hose and enhance the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the fire hose.

Furthermore, the warps are all made of nylon filaments, and the wefts are all made of nylon filaments. The nylon filament used for the warp is 450 nylon filaments of 2000D, and the nylon filament used for the weft is 6 nylon filaments of 2000D.

Furthermore, the warp adopts the combination of polyamide filament and polyethylene fiber yarn, and the weft all adopts polyethylene fiber yarn. The nylon filament yarn is mainly characterized by high strength (5-6 times of steel wire), high modulus (2-3 times of steel wire), low specific gravity (1/5 of steel wire), high temperature resistance, flame retardancy in light flame, self-extinguishing property, good aging resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, good light resistance (second to acrylic fiber), solarization time of 1000 hours, and 60-70% of strength.

Compared with the fire hose with the same specification and model, the invention has the advantages that the weight is lighter by more than 50% compared with the conventional polyester filament material, and the wear resistance is improved by 2-5 times. The invention is suitable for the fire hose with the diameter of 25mm-200mm in the specification range and the pressure range of 1.3-6.0 MPa.

The nylon filament is used for the fire hose to replace the conventional polyester filament, and has the following advantages:

1. because the strength and the specific gravity of the nylon filament are superior to those of the polyester filament, the weight of the fire hose with the same specification and model can be reduced by producing the fire hose (the specific gravity of the polyester relative to water is 1.38, and the specific gravity of the nylon relative to water is 1.14);

2. the wear resistance of the nylon filament is far higher than that of the polyester filament, so that the service life of the fire hose can be prolonged;

3. the fire hose woven by the nylon filaments is particularly suitable for ships and is resistant to seawater corrosion and solarization.
