1. A heater, comprising:

a substrate having a first surface and a second surface located on the opposite side of the first surface;

a resistance heating element disposed on the first surface; and

and a thermistor disposed on the second surface and containing no lead.

2. The heater of claim 1, wherein

The thermistor contains manganese, cobalt, and one or both of copper and nickel.

3. The heater of claim 2, wherein

The mass content of one or both of manganese, cobalt, copper and nickel of the thermistor is increased to decreased in this order.

4. The heater of claim 2, wherein

The thermistor has a mass content ratio of manganese and cobalt that is greater than a mass content ratio of the other components.

5. The heater of claim 2, wherein

The total mass content of the manganese, the cobalt, the copper, and the nickel in the thermistor is 50 to 70[ mass% ].

6. A heater according to claim 3, wherein

The total mass content of the manganese, the cobalt, the copper, and the nickel in the thermistor is 50 to 70[ mass% ].

7. The heater of claim 4, wherein

The total mass content of the manganese, the cobalt, the copper, and the nickel in the thermistor is 50 to 70[ mass% ].

8. A heater according to any one of claims 1 to 5 wherein

The thermistor contains ruthenium of 2 to 15 mass%.

9. An image forming apparatus includes:

the heater of claim 1, heating a medium; and

a pressing roller that presses the medium heated by the heater,

the toner image adhering to the medium is fixed by the heater and the pressure roller.

Technical Field

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a heater (heater) and an image forming apparatus.

Background

For example, a heater is known which is used for toner fixing in a copying machine, a facsimile machine, or the like, print erasing in a rewritable card reader (rewritable reader), or the like. The heater generates heat from a resistance heating element formed on one surface of the substrate by electric power supplied from the power supply electrode. A thermistor (thermistor) is disposed on the other surface of the substrate. The supply of electric power is controlled based on the temperature detected by the thermistor, thereby adjusting the heater to an appropriate temperature.

In such a heater, lead is contained as a component constituting the thermistor, and therefore, the design of the thermistor is required in consideration of the environment.

An object of the present invention is to provide a heater and an image forming apparatus that take care of the environment.

The heater of the embodiment includes a substrate, a resistance heating element, and a thermistor. The substrate has a first surface and a second surface located on the opposite side of the first surface. The resistance heating element is disposed on the first surface. The thermistor is disposed on the second surface and does not contain lead.

In the heater, the thermistor contains manganese, cobalt, and one or both of copper and nickel. And, the mass content of one or both of manganese, cobalt, copper and nickel of the thermistor is in this order from large to small. The thermistor has a mass content ratio of manganese and cobalt that is greater than a mass content ratio of the other components. The total mass content of manganese, cobalt, copper, and nickel in the thermistor is 50 to 70 mass%. The thermistor contains ruthenium in a range of 2 to 15 mass%.

An image forming apparatus according to another embodiment includes the heater that heats a medium, and a pressure roller that presses the medium heated by the heater, and fixes a toner image adhering to the medium by the heater and the pressure roller.

According to the present invention, a heater and an image forming apparatus that take care of the environment can be provided.
