Technical Field

The present invention relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a processing method and apparatus for wireless capability matching, a core network device, and a base station.

Background

The wireless terminal registers after accessing the communication network, and provides terminal capability for the core network for subsequent reference in the registration process. For example, a VoLTE (Voice over LTE) terminal may provide VoLTE-related wireless capabilities.

Since the core network cannot interpret the radio related capabilities, an interaction procedure is triggered to the base station, and the base station is required to check the radio capabilities of the current terminal, for example, whether the guarantee in terms of voice continuity can be provided. Based on the check result of the base station, the core network may decide whether to allow the terminal to use certain services, such as VoLTE.

The above core network and base station interaction flow in the 3GPP protocol (TS 36.4138.3.5) is shown in fig. 1. The disadvantages of the prior art are as follows:

the core network only queries the capacity of a certain base station, and the representativeness is not strong. For example, since a certain base station only configures 2G neighbor cells and detects that the terminal supports only 3G handover when checking the terminal capability, it is determined that the terminal unit has voice continuity capability. However, in this area, most base stations are configured with 2G and 3G neighboring cells at the same time, and in fact, service continuity of the terminal can be guaranteed.

Disclosure of Invention

The invention aims to provide a processing method and device for wireless capability matching, core network equipment and a base station, and aims to solve the problem that in the prior art, the accuracy of adapting network capability is low because a core network only queries the capability of one base station.

After the matching relationship between the wireless capabilities of the at least two base stations is obtained, the core network device performs comprehensive analysis and judgment on the service capability of the target terminal according to the matching relationship between the wireless capabilities of the at least two base stations, for example, judges whether the target terminal is allowed to use some services (such as VoLTE services).

The embodiment of the present invention provides two ways of obtaining the matching relationship between the wireless capability of the target terminal and the wireless capabilities of at least two base stations, and the two ways of obtaining the matching relationship between the wireless capabilities are described in detail below.

As an example, as shown in fig. 3, the first way is base station distribution.

For example, the query range of capability matching specifies whether the serving base station only queries the network capability matching relationship between itself and the target terminal, or queries the network capability matching relationship between a specific list (the list includes a plurality of base stations, preferably neighboring base stations of the serving base station) and the target terminal, or queries neighboring base stations of the serving base station (or called surrounding base stations), or queries neighboring base stations of the serving base station, and so on, and queries the matching relationship between the network capabilities of the plurality of base stations and the network capability of the target terminal.

After sending a capability matching query request to a serving base station of a target terminal, core network equipment receives a query result summarized by the serving base station, wherein the query result comprises a matching relation between the wireless capability of the target terminal and the wireless capability of the serving base station; and a matching relationship of the wireless capability of the target terminal and the wireless capability of at least one neighboring base station of the serving base station.

As another embodiment, as shown in fig. 4, the second way is core network device distribution.

And the base station receiving the capability matching query request respectively compares the wireless capability of the base station with the wireless capability of the target terminal so as to determine a matching relation, and respectively reports the matching relation to the core network equipment. That is, the core network device receives the query results respectively reported by each base station, and the query result of each base station includes the matching relationship between the wireless capabilities of the base station and the target terminal, so that the target terminal is judged more comprehensively by integrating a plurality of query results.

In summary, in the processing method provided in the above embodiment of the present invention, for the same target terminal, the core network device performs capability query on at least two base stations, and analyzes the service capability of the target terminal according to the matching relationship between the wireless capability of the target terminal and the wireless capabilities of the at least two base stations, so as to improve the accuracy of the target terminal in adapting to the network capability.

As shown in fig. 5, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a processing method for matching wireless capabilities, which is applied to a serving base station of a target terminal, and includes:

step 51, reporting the matching relation between the wireless capability of the target terminal and the wireless capabilities of at least two base stations to core network equipment;

wherein the at least two base stations comprise: a serving base station of the target terminal and at least one neighboring base station of the serving base station.

The processing method for matching wireless capabilities provided in the embodiment of the present invention is a processing method for serving a base station in the case of the first method (base station distribution) for obtaining a matching relationship of wireless capabilities provided in the above embodiment.

In the case of the second method (core network device distribution) for obtaining the matching relationship of the wireless capabilities provided in the above embodiment, the processing method of each base station is the same as that in the prior art, and will not be described in detail in this application.

As an embodiment, in the embodiment of the present invention, the method further includes:

receiving a capability matching query request sent by core network equipment, wherein the capability matching query request carries the wireless capability of a target terminal and a query range of capability matching;

and acquiring the matching relation between the wireless capability of the base station and the wireless capability of the target base station and the matching relation between the wireless capability of at least one base station in the capability matching query range and the wireless capability of the target terminal according to the capability matching query request.

Specifically, the core network device only sends a capability matching query request to the serving base station of the target terminal, and the sent capability matching query request includes not only the wireless capability of the target terminal but also a query range of the capability matching. For example, the query range of capability matching specifies whether the serving base station only queries the network capability matching relationship between itself and the target terminal, or queries the network capability matching relationship between a specific list (the list includes a plurality of base stations, preferably neighboring base stations of the serving base station) and the target terminal, or queries neighboring base stations of the serving base station (or called surrounding base stations), or queries neighboring base stations of the serving base station, and so on, and queries the matching relationship between the network capabilities of the plurality of base stations and the network capability of the target terminal.

Accordingly, step 51 comprises:

After receiving the capability matching query request sent by the core network equipment, the service base station reports the summarized query result to the service base station, wherein the query result comprises the matching relation between the wireless capability of the target terminal and the wireless capability of the service base station; and a matching relationship of the wireless capability of the target terminal and the wireless capability of at least one neighboring base station of the serving base station.

It should be noted that, the serving base station in the embodiment of the present invention includes two schemes for generating a content carried by a capability matching query response, which are respectively:

scheme 1: and the serving base station inquires the wireless capability of the adjacent base stations in advance, and stores the wireless capability of the adjacent base stations in the serving base station. After receiving the capability matching query request, the serving base station directly compares the wireless capability of the adjacent base station stored locally with the wireless capability of the target terminal, thereby determining respective matching relationship.

That is, according to the capability matching query request, obtaining the matching relationship between the wireless capability of the base station and the wireless capability of the target base station and the matching relationship between the wireless capability of at least one base station in the query range of capability matching and the wireless capability of the target terminal, including:

comparing the wireless capability of the target terminal with the wireless capability of the service base station according to the capability matching query request to obtain the matching relation between the wireless capability of the first base station and the wireless capability of the target base station;

comparing the wireless capability of the base stations in the query range with the capability matching with the wireless capability of the target terminal to obtain the matching relation between the wireless capability of at least one base station in the query range with the capability matching with the wireless capability of the target terminal;

wherein the wireless capability of at least one base station within the capability-matching query range is pre-acquired by the serving base station.

In the scheme, the service base station can not continuously send the capability matching query to the adjacent base station for the capability matching problem of different terminals, so that the interactive signaling load between the base stations can be saved, and the method is more rapid.

Scheme 2: and (4) capability matching query, wherein the service base station sends a capability matching query request to the adjacent base station, and the adjacent base station feeds back the result to the service base station after performing capability matching check.

Namely, the obtaining of the matching relationship between the wireless capability of the base station and the wireless capability of the target base station and the matching relationship between the wireless capability of at least one base station in the query range of capability matching and the wireless capability of the target terminal according to the capability matching query request includes:

comparing the wireless capability of the target terminal with the wireless capability of the service base station according to the capability matching query request to obtain the matching relation between the wireless capability of the first base station and the wireless capability of the target base station;

sending a capability matching query request to a base station within a capability matching query range, wherein the capability matching query request carries the wireless capability of the target terminal;

and receiving a capability matching query response reported by the base station within the query range with matched capability, wherein the capability matching query response carries the matching relation between the wireless capability of the base station and the wireless capability of the target terminal.

It should be noted that the capability matching query request sent by the serving base station to the base station within the capability matching query range also carries the query range of this capability matching. That is, the neighboring base station of the serving base station is the same as the serving base station, and may query only the network capability matching relationship between itself and the target terminal, or may query a specific list (the list includes a plurality of base stations, preferably, the neighboring base station of the neighboring base station) and the network capability matching relationship of the target terminal.

For example, the core network device sends a capability matching query request to the serving base station, where the capability matching query request carries the wireless capability of the target terminal and a query range for capability matching, and the query range is specifically a list, and the list includes base station 1, base station 2, base station 3, and base station 4. The serving base station sends the capability matching query request to the base station 1, the base station 2, the base station 3, and the base station 4, respectively, the base station 1, the base station 2, the base station 3, and the base station 4 report the checking result to the serving base station after performing capability matching check, and the serving base station reports the checking result of the serving base station and the checking result reported by the base station 1, the base station 2, the base station 3, and the base station 4 to the core network device.

Bearing the above example, the capability matching query request sent by the serving base station to the base station 1 further includes a query range of this capability matching, the query range is specifically a list, the list includes the base station 5 and the base station 6, the base station 1 sends the capability matching query request to the base station 5 and the base station 6 respectively, the base station 5 and the base station 6 report the test result to the base station 1 after performing the capability matching test respectively, the base station 1 reports the test result of itself and the test results of the base station 5 and the base station 6 to the serving base station, meanwhile, the base station 2, the base station 3, and the base station 4 report the test result to the serving base station after performing the capability matching test respectively, and the serving base station reports the test result of itself and the test results of the base station 1, the base station 2, the base station 3, the base station 4, the base station 5, and the base station 6 to the.

It should be noted that, after the serving base station summarizes the query results, the serving base station may feed back a list to the core network device, where the list includes the query results of each base station; or the service base station counts and summarizes the capability query result, and only feeds back the count and summary result to the core network equipment.

In order to more clearly describe the processing method for matching wireless capabilities provided by the embodiment of the present invention, a specific example is described below.

First, the terminal is powered on and registers with the core network. In which the radio capabilities of the terminal are reported.

The core network needs to know the adaptation degree of the wireless network and the wireless capability of the terminal, so that the capability matching query process is triggered. A capability query request message is triggered to the base station a, and the message carries the wireless capability of the terminal and the range to be queried: the adjacent area of the base station and the adjacent area of the adjacent area.

The base station a checks the matching degree of the terminal and the wireless capability of the terminal, for example, the terminal only supports the capability of switching from VoLTE voice to a 3 GWCCDMA system, but the base station a does not configure a WCDMA base station, so the base station a considers that the wireless capability of the terminal lacks the adaptability to the network.

Base station a triggers a capability query request to the neighbor base stations (the request may carry an identity indicating that the target base stations should continue to send capability query requests to their neighbor base stations).

All the related base station query results are fed back to the base station a, and the base station a feeds back to the core network after summarizing all the results. And the core network makes comprehensive judgment according to all feedback results, and whether the terminal is allowed to use certain services, such as VoLTE.

In summary, in the embodiments of the present invention, for the same target terminal, the core network device performs capability query on at least two base stations, and analyzes the service capability of the target terminal according to the matching relationship between the wireless capability of the target terminal and the wireless capabilities of the at least two base stations, so as to improve the accuracy of the target terminal in adapting to the network capability, and further improve the user experience.

As shown in fig. 6, an embodiment of the present invention provides a processing apparatus for matching wireless capabilities, which is applied to a core network device, and includes:

These computer program instructions may also be loaded onto a computer or other programmable data processing apparatus to cause a series of operational steps to be performed on the computer or other programmable apparatus to produce a computer implemented process such that the instructions which execute on the computer or other programmable apparatus provide steps for implementing the functions specified in the flowchart flow or flows and/or block diagram block or blocks.
