The third purpose of the invention is to provide a processing method of the active ingredient cooked rhubarb micro powder of the medicinal composition for preventing and treating depression, which comprises the following steps:

(1) peeling radix et rhizoma Rhei, slicing into thick pieces or blocks, and oven drying at 30-50 deg.C to obtain radix et rhizoma Rhei pieces or blocks;

(2) mixing with yellow wine, and adding 15-16% yellow wine 30kg per 100kg of radix et rhizoma Rhei slice or block; stewing for 1.5 hr until the wine is absorbed completely, steaming in autoclave for 6 hr, taking out, and drying;

(3) preparing cooked rhubarb micro powder: pulverizing processed radix et rhizoma Rhei in micronizer for 5-8min to obtain powder with particle diameter: 50-78 μm.

The technical scheme provided by the invention has the following beneficial effects:

(1) the Chinese medicine material rhubarb is processed at low temperature without destroying the anthraquinone components and stilbene glycoside components and maintained in the rhubarb.
