The invention relates to light guide plate processing equipment, in particular to a light guide plate polishing and milling cutter.

Background

In the light guide plate manufacturing process, after the light guide plate is formed into a desired structural configuration through various production steps, before final packaging and shipment, polishing and milling processes are generally required to make the overall dimension of the light guide plate be within a specification, so as to facilitate subsequent panel factory assembly.

The polishing and milling process is roughly divided into three processes, namely a barrel cutter, a disc cutter and a forming cutter, wherein the barrel cutter is used for performing side milling and rough milling on a large workpiece, the disc cutter is mainly used for polishing and milling the plane of the workpiece to obtain the required surface roughness, and the forming cutter is used for polishing and milling the workpiece to form the required shape, such as a guide angle or a positioning angle.

However, in consideration of the processing efficiency and speed, the polishing and milling of the light guide plates are generally performed in a whole set, rather than individually for each light guide plate. Therefore, in the polishing and milling processing mode, the size difference of the whole group of light guide plates is generated after processing, and the chip removal during processing is also a problem to be overcome so as to avoid influencing the packaging and delivery quality of the subsequent light guide plates.

In view of the above, the inventor summarizes the abundant experience of years in the related industries, conceives and provides a light guide plate polishing and milling cutter, so as to provide an equipment tool suitable for polishing and milling of a light guide plate group, and simultaneously eliminate various adverse conditions which can affect the quality of the light guide plate.

Detailed Description

The invention will be more clearly and completely described by way of example in the following with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In the surface polishing and milling process of the light guide plate, the disc cutter is mostly used to process the surface of the light guide plate in a rotating manner, and in the process, the surface is processed in a planar manner, but actually, considering the requirement of chip removal, the cutter can tilt at an included angle relative to the processed surface to operate. However, due to the inclined angle machining, the light guide plate group may have a size difference of the whole group after the rotary polishing and milling machining, and the polishing and milling marks formed by the tool relative to each light guide plate in the light guide plate group may cause the size difference. On the other hand, the chip removal is affected by the size ratio of the tool to the workpiece, in addition to the tool insertion angle. In the existing light guide plate polishing and milling process, the same disc cutter machine is used for both large-size and small-size light guide plates, and when the large-size light guide plate is processed, the problem that the dust formed by polishing and milling is difficult to remove due to the fact that the disc cutter is too small is derived. In view of the above, the inventors have found that it is necessary to find an ideal dimension ratio between a workpiece (i.e., a disc cutter) and a workpiece (i.e., a light guide plate group) to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks. In view of the above, the inventor describes a light guide plate polishing and milling tool disclosed in the present invention, by controlling the size of the tool, the difference of polishing and milling arc traces caused by the processing of the inclination angle is within an allowable range, and the smoothness of chip removal is considered, so as to effectively improve the product yield and consistency of the light guide plate and improve various existing defects in the light guide plate polishing and milling process.

Please refer to fig. 1-2, which are schematic diagrams (a) and (b) illustrating a machining application of a light guide plate polishing and milling tool according to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein for convenience, it is stated that the light guide plate polishing and milling tool in the drawings is a simple schematic diagram, and other mechanisms such as a carrying base or a motor are omitted, and the drawings are not in actual size scale. The light guide plate polishing and milling tool 1 is used for polishing and milling a light guide plate group 2 formed by stacking a plurality of light guide plates 20, wherein the total height of the light guide plate group 2 is D. Incidentally, when the circular disc cutter is used for machining, if the cutter entering angle theta relative to the horizontal plane of the light guide plate group 20 is too small, poor chip removal is caused, and if the cutter entering angle theta is too large, the whole size difference is increased, so that the invention provides a mode of adjusting the size of the circular disc cutter based on the proper cutter entering angle theta and according to the total height condition of the light guide plate group 2 to be machined, so that the light guide plate polishing and milling cutter 1 conforming to the relational expression can obtain better polishing and milling machining results in application, and further achieve the excellent effects.

The light guide plate polishing and milling cutter 1 is a circular disc cutter which is manufactured according to the condition formula according to the machining condition that the cutter entering angle theta is 10 +/-5 degrees and the total height D of the light guide plate group is 140-180 mm, so that the polishing and milling arc difference generated on the machined surface of the light guide plate group 2 is greatly reduced, and the quality and the optical quality of the manufactured light guide plate product are improved. In practical application, two sets of light guide plate polishing and milling tools 1 may be disposed at the same time to process the planes formed by the stacked light guide plate groups 2, as shown in fig. 1. Further, for example, when the light guide plate polishing and milling tool 1 is limited to have a tool insertion angle θ of 10 degrees with respect to the horizontal plane of the light guide plate group 2 during machining and the light guide plate group 2 with a total height D of 140 to 180mm is machined, the radius R of the light guide plate polishing and milling tool 1 is about 40 to 52 centimeters according to the above relational expression, so that the light guide plate group with a total height D of 140 to 180mm is machined under the condition that the tool insertion angle θ is 10 degrees, thereby achieving the above-mentioned effects. Or, when the machining condition is defined as machining the light guide plate group 2 with the total height D of 160mm and the cutting-in angle θ is 10 ± 5 degrees, the radius R of the applicable light guide plate polishing and milling tool 1 is about 31-92 cm, so that the above-mentioned effects can be obtained by machining the light guide plate group 2 with the total height D of 160mm under the cutting-in angle condition.

Further, taking an example of practical application, when the total height D of the light guide plate group 2 is 160mm and the cutter-entering angle θ is 10 degrees, the radius R of the light guide plate polishing and milling tool 1 suitable for this case can be about 46cm according to the above relation. In other words, when the radius R of the light guide plate polishing and milling tool 1 is 46cm and polishing and milling are performed according to the condition that the set tool entrance angle θ is 10 degrees, the polishing and milling mark difference originally caused by the disc tool ruler during processing can fall within the allowable range, so as to greatly reduce the size difference between the light guide plates 20 in the entire light guide plate group 2, and relatively improve the quality and yield of the light guide plate product. In summary, the light guide plate polishing and milling tool of the present invention finds out the concept of the ideal dimension ratio between the processed object and the processed object, and controls the size of the tool to keep the polishing and milling arc difference of the light guide plate generated by polishing and milling processing within the allowable range, thereby reducing the size difference of each light guide plate in the whole batch of products and improving the precision and accuracy of the whole process; meanwhile, the cutter meeting the conditions can also meet the chip removal requirement, eliminate the adverse effect of chip residue in machining, greatly reduce the waste rate and reduce the tolerance of the machined light guide plate product.
