Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention belongs. The terminology used in the description of the invention herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the invention. As used herein, the term "and/or" includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.

Referring to fig. 1 and 2, the tool 100 for castration according to the preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a shaft 110, a sleeve 120, a hook member 130 and a cutting member 140.

The shaft 110 is elongated and has a holding end 101 and a cutting end 102 opposite to each other. In performing a castration operation, the operator may grasp the gripping end 102 and cut the skin using the cutting end 102. The rod 110 is generally made of metal such as stainless steel, and may be cylindrical, prismatic or irregular cylindrical. The shaft 110 may be hollow or solid, or may be partially hollow and partially solid.

Further, the cutting end 102 is formed with a chamfer 111, and an edge of the chamfer 111 away from the holding end 101 is formed with a cutting edge 113, and the cutting edge 113 is in a circular arc shape. The chamfer 111 may be a plane obtained by cutting the shaft 110 in a direction oblique to the axis of the shaft 110.

During a castration operation, the operator's fingers can be pressed against the chamfer 111. By applying a downward force, the cutting edge 113 can cut the skin, forming an incision. The cutting end 102 may be extended into the body of the animal until the fingers are in abutment with the skin. That is, the finger pressing on the chamfer 111 can act as a limit, so the distance between the end of the finger and the cutting edge 113 will determine the depth of the cut. Therefore, by moving the position of the finger on the chamfer 111, the depth of the cut can be precisely controlled.

Also, since the cutting edge 113 is in the shape of a circular arc, there is no protruding tip. Even if the position of the incision is deviated to a certain extent, the cutting edge 113 is not easy to stab the internal organs of the animal, thereby further avoiding unnecessary damage to the animal.

In this embodiment, the shaft body 110 has a cylindrical shape such that the surface of the chamfer 111 has an elliptical shape. Therefore, the cutting edge 113 having a circular arc shape can be naturally obtained by grinding the edge of the chamfer 111 without an additional machining operation. In addition, the cylindrical shaft body 110 is also convenient to hold.

The sleeve 120 may be made of the same material as the shaft 110, and the cross-sectional shape of the sleeve may match the cross-sectional shape of the shaft 110. The sleeve 120 is open at one end and can be sleeved on the cutting end 102. When the livestock castration tool 100 is idle, the sleeve 120 is fitted over the cutting end 102. On the one hand, the cutting edge 113 is protected from wear. On the other hand, the cutting edge 113 can be prevented from causing damage to a person. The sleeve 120 can be pulled out when the livestock castration tool 100 is used.

The sleeve 120 and cutting end 102 may be press fit similar to a conventional pen and cap construction. The livestock castration tool 100 is shaped to correspond to a pen when the sleeve 120 is fitted over the cutting end 102.

Further, in the present embodiment, the sidewall of the sleeve 120 is provided with an elastic clip 121. Through the centre gripping of elasticity clamp 121 about, can be hung livestock castration instrument 100 at the edge of structures such as clothes pocket, medical boxboard body to make livestock castration instrument 100 portable.

It should be noted that in other embodiments, the omission of the sleeve 120 does not interfere with the performance of the main function of the livestock castration tool 100.

During a castration procedure, if the portion to be removed does not emerge from the incision, the pull member 130 can be used to pull it out of the incision, thereby helping to reduce stress and infection risk. The hook member 130 may be a plastic member or a metal member. Specifically, in the present embodiment, the hook member 130 is a metal hook with a smooth surface.

The metal hook is solid and durable, is easy to disinfect and is not easy to breed bacteria. In addition, the metal hook with smooth surface has no sharp protruding part, so that the metal hook can not hurt other internal organs even extending into the livestock body.

The cutter 140 serves to cut off the portion to be cut. Specifically, in the present embodiment, the cutting member 140 includes a handle 141 with a surgical blade and a pair of surgical scissors 143.

In the present embodiment, the shaft 110 is a hollow tubular structure, and one end of the shaft 110 near the holding end 101 is open. That is, the shaft 110 has a hollow structure. By this arrangement, the weight of the livestock castration tool 100 can be significantly reduced, and the use by an operator is facilitated. Meanwhile, the device can also play a role in saving materials. In addition, the hollow rod body 110 is convenient for accommodating the hooking piece 130 and the cutting piece 140, and contributes to better aesthetic property and safety of the livestock castration tool 100.

Further, the hook member 130 and the cutting member 140 are retractable relative to the rod 110. When the utility model is needed, the hook-pulling member 130 and the cutting member 140 can be directly slid out from the opening at the end of the rod body 110, which is fast and convenient.

In this embodiment, the sidewall of the rod 110 is further formed with a plurality of notches 115 corresponding to the extending direction of the rod 110, and the hook 130 and the cutting element 140 are slidably mounted in the corresponding notches 115.

Specifically, the number of the notches 115 may be the same as the number of the hooking members 130 and the shearing members 140, each of the hooking members 130 and the shearing members 140 corresponds to one notch 115, and the hooking members 130 and the shearing members 140 may be connected to the rod 110 through a spring buckle. In addition, the hook-pulling member 130 and each cutting member 140 may also be provided with a button (not shown) passing through the corresponding slot 115 and protruding out of the outer wall of the rod 110. When the hooking member 130 and the cutting member 140 are needed, the hooking member and the cutting member are slid to the opening at the end of the rod 110 by operating the button, so that the hooking member and the cutting member do not need to be completely separated from the rod 110, and the tools are prevented from scattering.

In the usage scenario shown in fig. 2, the hook 13, the handle 141 and the surgical scissors 143 all slide outside the rod 110.

Further, in the present embodiment, a plurality of notches 115 are provided at intervals around the circumferential direction of the rod body 110. Thus, the hooking member 130 and the cutting member 140 can extend out of the rod 110 from different directions, thereby preventing the hooking member 130 and the cutting member 140 from interfering with each other.

In the livestock castration tool 100, the operator can hold the holding end 101 and press fingers against the chamfer 111 during use. Since the finger can act as a stop, the distance between the end of the finger and the cutting edge 113 will determine the depth of the cut. Therefore, by moving the position of the finger on the chamfer 111, the depth of the cut can be precisely controlled. Moreover, because the cutting edge 113 is arc-shaped, and has no protruding tip, the internal organs of the animal are not easy to be punctured, thereby further avoiding unnecessary damage to the animal. It can be seen that the livestock castration tool 100 described above is effective in improving castration quality.

The technical features of the embodiments described above may be arbitrarily combined, and for the sake of brevity, all possible combinations of the technical features in the embodiments described above are not described, but should be considered as being within the scope of the present specification as long as there is no contradiction between the combinations of the technical features.

The above-mentioned embodiments only express several embodiments of the present invention, and the description thereof is more specific and detailed, but not construed as limiting the scope of the invention. It should be noted that, for a person skilled in the art, several variations and modifications can be made without departing from the inventive concept, which falls within the scope of the present invention.
