Technical Field
The invention relates to a method for feeding electrical power into an electrical supply network by means of a feed-in device controlled by a converter, in particular by means of a wind power plant or a wind energy installation. The invention further relates to a corresponding wind power plant and to a corresponding wind energy installation.
Background
It is known to feed electrical power through a wind power plant or at least through a single wind energy installation. Modern wind power installations or wind power plants use converter units for this purpose in order to adjust the electrical power generated from the wind to be suitable for the feed-in, in particular in terms of frequency, phase and amplitude, to the respective feed-in situation.
It is also known to support the supply grid by means of a wind energy installation or a wind power plant, which can also be referred to as grid support in a simplified manner.
For this grid support, the power feed is specifically adapted to the specific grid conditions. This is achieved by increasing or decreasing the fed power according to the grid conditions or according to the grid requirements. It is also conceivable to feed in reactive power depending on the grid conditions or the grid requirements. In this case, the grid requirements are in particular those which are made of the operator of the power supply grid, i.e. the grid operator, to the wind energy installation or the wind power plant.
For this grid support, fixed control rules are usually stored in the wind energy installation or wind power plant. Such control rules can for example comprise a power regulation related to the grid frequency, as it is described for example in patent US 6,891,281. As another example, a phase angle adjustment is considered in relation to the voltage, which phase angle adjustment specifies a correlation between a phase angle describing the phase difference between the current and the voltage of the supply network or a voltage determined by the supply network. Such voltage-dependent phase angle adjustment is described in US patent US 6,965,174. It is also conceivable that, in the event of a rapid frequency drop, a power boost in the sense of a transient reserve is provided for a short time and for a short time, wherein the power boost can be derived from the flywheel mass of the rotating rotor of the wind energy installation. Such a variant derives for example from the US patent US 9,279,411.
A plurality of these supporting measures, in particular frequency-dependent power changes, are based on a specific, nowadays usual type of power supply network. In particular, the control of the power supply network is usually based on large power plants using large synchronous generators which are directly coupled to the power supply network. For example, frequency-dependent power changes are due to said power changes taking into account the performance of such directly coupled synchronous generators. With this property, such synchronous generators accelerate under the following conditions: the synchronous generator cannot output to the supply grid the power with which it is rotated mechanically, for example by a steam turbine. Since the synchronous generator is directly electrically coupled to the supply network, the rotational speed increase causes an increase in the frequency fed in, and this is essentially the reason why the increased frequency in the supply network can indicate an excessive supply of power in the supply network.
The voltage effects in the supply grid are also generally due to the performance of such directly coupled large synchronous generators. On the one hand, the synchronous generator substantially conducts the voltage in the supply network, wherein additionally, site-specific variants are substantially caused by the transformer and the transmission line. On the other hand, however, effects such as phase steps can also be attributed to the performance of the synchronous generator.
Now, if the structure of the power supply grid changes, this can result in the proposed grid support measures no longer being or no longer being so well suited for grid support.
Furthermore, the performance of the power supply network is also influenced by the following means and methods: how the generators and consumers are distributed in the supply grid. A section which is separate and to which a plurality of wind energy installations or wind power plants are connected behaves, for example, differently from a section of the electrical grid which has a plurality of consumers in the vicinity of a large power plant.

Disclosure of Invention
The invention is therefore based on the object of solving at least one of the problems mentioned above. In particular, a solution should be proposed to improve the grid support by converter-controlled infeed devices, in particular wind power plants and therefore wind energy installations, or to improve the infeed by such converter-controlled infeed devices with regard to grid support or grid stability, i.e. to design the infeed more grid-compatible. At least one alternative solution to the hitherto known solutions should be proposed.
According to the invention, a method for feeding in according to claim 1 is proposed. The electrical power is fed to the supply grid by means of a feed-in device controlled by a converter. However, wind farms or wind energy installations, in particular, are proposed as converter-controlled infeed devices. The feed devices controlled by the converter are feed devices which generate the fed current or the fed voltage depending on the frequency, phase and amplitude by means of the converter or inverter. The harmonic components can also be set accordingly, for example.
For this purpose, it is proposed that at least one selection between an operating mode in which current is fed and an operating mode in which voltage is fed can be made for the purpose of feeding electrical power. In this case, in the operating mode in which current is supplied, open-loop or closed-loop control is carried out for the current setpoint value, and in the operating mode in which voltage is supplied, open-loop or closed-loop control is carried out for the voltage setpoint value. In this connection, the two operating modes are fundamentally different. The operating mode of the current feed is particularly implemented such that the desired current to be fed is preset in terms of frequency, phase and amplitude. However, the presets can be dynamic and change continuously during continuous operation. In particular, the presetting of the respective desired current value can be adapted continuously to the available power. In particular in the case of a wind energy installation, this means that the desired current can be adapted continuously to the available wind power, i.e. to the power that the wind energy installation can extract from the wind at the respective time.
In particular, such a converter-controlled feed device can have a plurality of feed units, i.e. in particular a plurality of converters or inverters. Even in wind energy installations, a plurality of such units can be present. Usually, such feed-in units can be present in a switchgear cabinet, respectively.
In this case, a voltage-fed operating mode or a current-fed operating mode can mean that each feed unit, i.e. each converter or inverter or each switchgear, is operated in the respective operating mode. This can therefore mean that each associated switchgear is fed with voltage or that each associated switchgear is fed with current.
However, it is preferably provided according to one embodiment that a hybrid operation is also considered, in which case only some of the feed units have a dominant operating mode. The operation of the supply voltage can also be referred to as long as the supply unit of the supply voltage is dominant, or the operation of the supply current can be referred to if the supply unit of the supply current is dominant.
If, in the current-fed operating mode, the electrical power is fed in such a way that the feed current is preset in each case for this purpose, this can in particular mean that each feed unit presets the respective feed current as the desired current in each case and then also generates such a preset feed current.
The central open-loop control unit can open-loop control the individual feed-in units and, for example, distribute the available power, i.e., in particular the power available from the wind, to the individual feed-in units, which then, depending on the power, respectively, preset the desired current to be fed in and thus set.
In the same way, a wind farm can also be operated in which a central power plant open-loop control is provided, which can provide the respective wind energy installation with the respective desired value, and in which the respective open-loop control can be provided in each case, which then actuates the respective feed-in unit.
In the current-feeding operating mode, the current is thus fed in accordance with a preset current desired value. If the instantaneous value or the momentary value of the current changes, the respective feed-in unit reacts to this and tries to counteract the change.
In the operation of the feed voltage, instead of this preset voltage, the relevant feed unit attempts to keep its feed voltage at the preset voltage value. Accordingly, the feed unit reacts to this, resulting in a voltage change.
Now, if the instantaneous value of the voltage at the output changes with the respective feed-in unit, this can immediately cause a reaction of the feed-in unit feeding the voltage. Such a voltage change can also be a frequency change or a phase step in the voltage. The unit feeding the voltage can react directly to this. This is a distinction from a unit that feeds current. In this regard, the cells feeding the current do not react to voltage changes.
Nowadays, the power supply network has a voltage as a reference variable. That is to say the grid voltage is preset, but the grid current is not preset. The power grid is designed such that the grid voltage remains as constant as possible, whereas the power feed, extraction or transmission is essentially effected by the current magnitude. In other words, the current is set in principle as a function of demand and has firstly a weak persuasion as regards the state of the power supply network, with exceptions of course: for example, short circuits in the power supply network or interruptions in the current feed-in are prevented. In contrast, a voltage change usually means a change in the grid characteristics, so that changes in the power supply grid can be concluded better and usually more quickly.
In any case, the change in the supply network is usually perceived first as a voltage change, and it is also conceivable that the change in the supply network is perceived only as a voltage change. In this case, the unit that feeds the voltage reacts instantaneously, independently of the superimposed power regulation, while the unit that feeds the current registers this change later or possibly not at all. The reaction of the current-feeding unit to a change in the power supply network is usually taken into account only by a preset change in its desired current, in particular by: this change in the power grid is detected in terms of measurement technology and causes a changed current setpoint value as a result of the regulation rule.
As a result, the feed-in unit of the supply voltage is thus in particular a unit of the supply network which, as a function of its operating principle, particularly quickly and thus particularly dynamically counteracts changes in the supply network. In contrast, a feed-in unit which operates in the manner of feeding current is characterized in that it feeds current and thus power into the power supply network, more precisely in a delayed manner in response to the result in the power network.
This feature is used in regulation technology by the proposed changeover between the operation with current feed on the one hand and the operation with voltage feed on the other hand. Thus, if a particularly dynamic support is to be provided by the feed-in device controlled by the converter, a switching to the operating mode of the feed voltage is possible.
This also makes it possible to react in particular to changing topologies in the power supply network. The regulating effect of a large power plant on the power supply system is also cancelled if, for example, the large power plant located in the vicinity is temporarily or permanently shut down. In particular in this case, a switching to the supply voltage operating mode can be provided in order to thereby replace a part of the above-mentioned characteristics of large power plants on the supply network.
According to one specific embodiment, it is provided that the current operating mode can be changed in a plurality of steps or in smooth transitions between the operating mode in which current is supplied and the operating mode in which voltage is supplied. In this way, an operating mode can also be selected which is not only voltage-fed or current-fed, but can be current-fed or voltage-fed with a different large proportion. It is thereby possible that the proposed selection between the supply current and the supply voltage is not necessarily limited to extreme cases only, but can be dynamically adapted to the respective grid conditions.
The aforementioned or later-described criteria for selecting between the current-fed operating mode or the voltage-fed operating mode are also transmitted to the respective operating mode located therebetween.
According to one specific embodiment, a changeover or selection between the current-supply operating mode and the voltage-supply operating mode is carried out as a function of at least one of the following criteria, wherein the operating mode is also selected between the current-supply operating mode and the voltage-supply operating mode. The following is proposed as a criterion:
-a measure of voltage fluctuations in the power supply network,
-a current limit metric, the current limit metric being a metric for: the current transformer controlled cells of the supply voltage of the feed device have already reached the current limit frequently,
the ratio of the directly coupled synchronous generator fed into the supply grid to the converter-controlled feed-in device fed into the supply grid, wherein in particular the power currently fed in, in particular the real power, or the ratio of the power fed in or the real power, respectively, is used as a reference variable,
-a measure of frequency fluctuations in the power supply network,
-a measure of the phase step in the grid,
the grid characteristics of the power supply grid, in particular the grid sensitivity,
the operating state of the converter-controlled feed-in device, in particular the currently fed-in power, in particular the active power with respect to the rated power of the converter-controlled feed-in device,
-a share of feed-in devices fed to a feed voltage in the supply network,
the share of the wind energy installation fed into the supply grid,
-the share of solar generators fed into the supply grid,
short circuit power at the grid connection point,
-a grid impedance at a grid connection point,
-the short-circuit current ratio at the grid connection point,
-identifying a sub-grid formation, in particular an islanding grid formation, and
an external switching signal or selection signal, in particular a switching signal preset by the operator of the power supply network.
Therefore, the proposed criterion, i.e. a measure of the voltage fluctuations in the power supply network, is used. For example, can be based on the average undulation width. In this case, for example, voltage fluctuations can be recorded over a predetermined time period, such as one minute, ten minutes or one hour, in which the average value of the voltages occurring at maximum is recorded relative to the average value of the voltages occurring at minimum, for example based on the effective value of the grid voltage. The interval between the maximum voltage value and the minimum voltage value thus averaged can be used as a basis for the fluctuation width. The limit value can be used as a basis and the operating mode for supplying the voltage or the operating mode for supplying the current can be selected as a function of whether the width of the ripple thus recorded exceeds the limit value. Preferably, the operating mode of the supply voltage is selected if the voltage ripple is strong, i.e. the ripple width is large, i.e. exceeds a limit value. If, in a plurality of steps, a change is made between the current-supply operating mode and the voltage-supply operating mode, a further limit value or a plurality of further limit values can be set for the respective intermediate operating mode.
A current limit metric is proposed as a feasible criterion, which is a metric for: the current-transformer-controlled units of the supply voltage of the feed device have already reached the current limit frequently. It is known that the voltage-feeding unit is operated such that in the event of a change of the instantaneous value or instantaneous value of the voltage at the output of the respective feed-in unit, this can immediately cause a reaction of the feed-in unit feeding the voltage. Thereby, the unit feeding the voltage tries to hold the voltage. The effect is desirable but can cause large currents to be fed by the cells feeding the voltage. If the current becomes so large that the relevant cell reaches the current limit, this indicates that: the cell is hardly or no longer able to hold a voltage.
Therefore, current limits are often reached as an indicator of: more cells feeding voltage are needed. Accordingly, it is proposed in connection with this that the operation of the further cells to the supply voltage is increased by at least the proportion of the cells of the supply voltage.
In this case, it is preferably provided that the number of times a cell of the supply voltage of the supply device reaches the current limit per cell in a predefined test period is counted and taken as a basis for the current limit frequency and converted into operation of the supply voltage as a function of said current limit frequency, at least the fraction of the cell of the supply voltage being increased.
It is preferably provided that the current limit measure or the current limit frequency is taken into account in relation to at least one closed-loop controller parameter of the unit which feeds the voltage. This can be, inter alia, the closed-loop controller gain or the closed-loop controller time constant. In particular, at least one closed-loop controller parameter can be taken into account via a weight, wherein the smaller the weight is selected, the smaller the closed-loop controller gain, i.e. the increase in the used droop (Statik) of the cell which feeds the voltage, is selected. In this case, this drop in the active current-dependent frequency tracking describes a gain measure which describes a linear relationship of the frequency to be set to the fed-in active current or to the fed-in active power.
For example, it is proposed that, in the case of a strong closed-loop controller gain, which therefore corresponds to a large closed-loop controller gain or a small closed-loop controller time constant, the current limit is reached as a strong indicator for: the fraction of cells feeding the voltage should be boosted compared to in the case of a weaker closed-loop controller. In the case of a weaker closed-loop controller, the following should be factored in: the weaker closed-loop controller reaches the limit earlier than the stronger closed-loop controller does. Therefore, with weaker closed-loop controllers, reaching the limit is often quite common, and thus less convincing: another cell feeding a voltage may be needed for support. However, in the case of strong closed-loop controllers, a conversion to operation at the supply voltage is already necessary with a small current limit quantity or a small current limit frequency, at least the fraction of the cells of the supply voltage being increased.
The ratio of the directly coupled synchronous generator fed into the power supply system to the converter-controlled feed-in device fed into the power supply system gives an inference about the basic or closed-loop control behavior of the power supply system. In particular, directly coupled synchronous generators have a specific, simple to use, voltage-feeding behavior for the power grid. The smaller this directly coupled synchronous generator affects the grid, the more feed-in units can be provided for feeding in voltage in order to at least partially exploit the properties of the directly coupled synchronous generator.
In the case of performance, the number is not critical, since the directly coupled synchronous generators of large power plants usually have a multiple of the rated power of a single wind energy installation, and a power-dependent reference variable is used as a basis here. In particular, it is proposed to use the respective current active power of the feed-in devices of the directly coupled synchronous generator on the one hand and of the converter control on the other hand. Alternatively, the rated power can also be used in each case.
Another criterion is a measure of frequency fluctuation. The frequency fluctuation measure can also be recorded similarly to the measure of the voltage fluctuation, wherein for example the fluctuation width of the frequency is recorded instead of the fluctuation width of the voltage. In this case, it is preferably also provided that, in the case of a high fluctuation width of the frequency, the operating mode of the supply voltage is selected or at least adjusted toward the operating mode of the supply voltage.
According to another variant, a measure of the phase step in the network is provided as a criterion. A phase step is generated in the case of a sudden current change, which may occur, for example, when the load is reduced. This sudden current change causes this phase step at the network impedance by a corresponding voltage change. It is apparent that phase steps in which the sinusoidal profile of the grid voltage is shifted in a jumping manner are prevented by the synchronous generator which is directly coupled to the supply grid. However, such phase steps occur in particular when a small number of such synchronous generators are present or when the synchronous generators are far away in the power supply network, since the more synchronous generators are active in the power supply network, the more strongly they can prevent phase steps. In particular, directly coupled synchronous generators can form the grid center of gravity. The further a point in the power supply network is from the center of gravity of the power network, the greater the demand on the units feeding the voltage. It is thereby proposed that the earlier the switching to operation of the supply voltage to increase at least the proportion of the cells of the supply voltage in the supply network, the more frequently and/or strongly the phase steps occur.
Likewise, the grid characteristics of the power supply grid can be used as a criterion. In particular, grid sensitivity is proposed. In this regard, the grid characteristics are different from the transient state. The momentary state is, for example, the current frequency or the current voltage magnitude. In contrast, the grid characteristics are the following characteristics of the grid: i.e. how the grid reacts to the changes. Therefore, it is proposed in particular to take into account grid sensitivity as a grid characteristic. The grid sensitivity is preferably defined here as the ratio of the voltage change as a reaction to a change in the fed-in active power, and this is based on the grid connection point, i.e. the grid connection point into which the converter-controlled feed device feeds. By this means, a measure of how the power supply network behaves with respect to the change can be derived. Accordingly, a selection can be made in this connection between the operating mode in which current is supplied and the operating mode in which voltage is supplied, or a meaningful intermediate stage can be selected. Preferably, with a high grid sensitivity, the operating mode of the supply voltage is set forth when the grid reacts strongly to changes in the active power supply.
As a further criterion, the current operating state of the converter-controlled feed device, in particular the current feed power, in particular the active power, is provided. This can be set with respect to the nominal power of the feed-in device controlled by the converter. In order to improve the supporting properties of the converter-controlled feed device, it can be provided to select a voltage-controlled operating mode if the operating state is such that relatively little active power is fed in.
The proportion of the feed device which feeds the feed voltage into the supply network can also be taken into account. The more feed-in devices of the supply voltage are already active in the supply network, the less the operating mode of the supply voltage needs to be selected. In this case, the share of the feed device which feeds the voltage can also be noted, in particular in the sense of its active power to be fed.
As a further criterion, it is proposed to take into account how large a share of the wind energy installations or wind power plants is fed into the power supply grid. The active power fed in is also proposed as a measure here. By taking into account the real power, it is also not actually required to distinguish between wind energy installation shares or wind power plant shares. Thus, by taking account of the share of the wind energy installation in relation to the power, it can be taken into account how strongly wind fluctuations can influence the power fed into the supply grid as a whole, i.e. how large the wind-related share of the active power fed in is. In this case, it is also possible to provide for operation of the supply voltage in the case of a high share of the wind energy installation.
Likewise, the share of the solar generators fed into the power supply network is provided as a criterion. Here, similar considerations apply to the share of wind energy installations, wherein the active power fed in is taken into account in a sun-dependent or light-incident manner as a basis. The greater the share of solar-related active power, the more likely it is to set forth the mode of operation of the feed voltage.
For the consideration of the wind share and/or the solar share, the current feed conditions are also taken into account.
On the other hand, it can also be provided that, in the case of a large share of the wind energy installations in the power supply grid, it is more likely to select the current-fed operating mode, since the wind energy installations themselves already have a rapid closed-loop control behavior when operating in the current-fed operating mode.
As a further criterion it is proposed to take into account the short circuit power at the grid connection point. This represents the short-circuit power supplied by the power supply network in the event of a short circuit at the grid connection point. In this connection, the short-circuit power at the grid connection point is likewise a grid characteristic of the supply grid with respect to the grid connection point. The higher this short-circuit power, the stronger or more stable the supply network in the area. Accordingly, less closed-loop control is required, and in this respect it is proposed to switch on the operating mode of the supply voltage with a small short-circuit power.
The grid impedance at the grid connection point can likewise be set as a criterion, and the smaller the grid impedance there, the less operating mode of the supply voltage is required. Thus, if the grid impedance is large, for example exceeds a predetermined limit value, an operating mode of the supply voltage is initiated.
The short-circuit current ratio at the grid connection is a further criterion, according to which a selection can be made between the voltage-fed operating mode or the current-fed operating mode. The short-circuit current ratio is a ratio of the short-circuit power available on the grid side at the grid connection point to the rated power of the feed device connected there to the grid connection point. The smaller the short-circuit current ratio, the more strongly the grid connection point is loaded by the connected feed-in device. Accordingly, the more stable the feed-in at the grid connection point by means of such a feed-in device, the greater the short-circuit current ratio. For example, a short circuit current ratio of 10 or even a short circuit current ratio of 6 is typically a very stable state. It can be proposed from a short-circuit current ratio of 4 or less that the proportion of the feed-in unit of the feed voltage is increased. Preferably, the operating mode of the supply voltage is selected when the short-circuit current ratio is 2 or less, in particular when the short-circuit current ratio is less than 1.5.
Identifying the sub-grid formation can also be a preferred criterion. The sub-grid formation represents the following conditions: in which a part of the power supply network has been separated from each other. The remaining part, i.e. the remaining sub-grids where grid connection points of the converter-controlled infeed are present, can be weakened by such sub-grid formation and prone to instability or at least oscillation performance. Accordingly, it is provided that, in the event of recognition of a sub-grid formation, an operating mode of the supply voltage is selected.
A special case of sub-grid formation is islanding grid formation, in which case the sub-grid to which the feed-in device is connected via its grid connection point forms its own system. In this case, the generator connected to the islanded grid must independently assume closed-loop or open-loop control of the islanded grid. This can be taken into account in particular by the operating mode in which voltage is supplied, at least better than by the operating mode in which current is substantially supplied.
Another criterion is that the selection is made by an external switching signal. Such a switching signal can in particular originate from the operator of the power supply network, i.e. the network operator, and can thus be implemented for the network operator, acting on the closed-loop control characteristic of the feed device. For example, the grid operator can also thereby prospectively place the converter-controlled feed device into a more strongly closed-loop-controlled operating mode, i.e. into a voltage-fed operating mode.
Such a switching signal or selection signal can also be configured such that the hybrid operating mode is set. The hybrid operating mode is the following operating mode: the operating mode has or combines the characteristics of the feed current and the characteristics of the feed voltage. This combination and thus the hybrid operating mode can be realized in particular by: some of the feeding units operate in a current feeding manner and some of the feeding units operate in a voltage feeding manner.
It is also possible to combine the criterion for switching between the operating mode in which current is fed and the operating mode in which voltage is fed or the criterion for switching on the hybrid operating mode therebetween. In principle, a combination of two or more features can be made such that each criterion is normalized with a standard value. An example is that the assumed value is 0 to 1, i.e. 0% to 100%, for each criterion. Such a value can indicate the respective criterion itself.
However, it is also conceivable to place the result of the criterion at such a standard value accordingly. That is, each criterion is first considered and evaluated individually. The assessment was then placed in the standard range. The result of the evaluation can be, for example, that there is a weak need for switching to the operating mode of the supply voltage. The requirement can be expressed, for example, as 30 percent, or it follows that there is a strong demand for such a conversion, which can be expressed, for example, as 70 percent. Likewise, in the case of each criterion, this requirement can be expressed as a requirement value of 0 to 1, i.e. 0% to 100%, for the converted or non-converted value. Then if a plurality of criteria are considered, the output demand values of the criteria, i.e. the described values which can be in the range of 0 to 1 or 0% to 100%, can be averaged.
It is also conceivable to provide the criteria with weights, so that the criteria are weighted, for example, by a value of 5 and by a value of 2. Then, for example, a common consideration of the respective demand values of the criteria can be carried out, such that each demand value is multiplied by the respective weight of the criterion on which it is based, and a mean value is formed from the results thus determined for each criterion, in which mean value all such weighted demand values are summed up and the sum is divided by the sum of the weight factors, to name just one example.
According to one specific embodiment, a switching open-loop control device is provided for switching between the current-supply operating mode and the voltage-supply operating mode, which also includes the selection of the intermediate position, and which has executed a switching criterion. The switching criterion is therefore checked in the switching open-loop control device and a switching device may be provided.
Additionally or alternatively, the switching open-loop control means switches in dependence on at least one of the aforementioned criteria. Thus, the criteria, or at least one of the criteria, can be implemented by the switching open loop control means.
For example, the switching can be carried out by means of a switching open-loop control device, so that the switching open-loop control device sends a corresponding switching signal to the relevant feed-in unit, and the feed-in unit is thereby switched from the current-fed operating mode to the voltage-fed operating mode. In particular for switching to the hybrid operating mode, it can be provided that the switching open-loop control device is coupled to a plurality of feed units for this purpose and that the switching open-loop control device places some of the feed units in the current-fed operating mode and places other of the feed units in the voltage-fed operating mode. As a result, the hybrid operation can be controlled accordingly as a function of the number of feed units selected for the respective operating mode. If all these voltage cells are set in current-fed or voltage-fed operation by the switching open-loop control device, a pure current-fed or voltage-fed operating mode can be implemented.
In addition or alternatively, it is proposed that an adaptive algorithm be implemented in the switching open-loop control device. The adaptive algorithm can use criteria and evaluate the change qualitatively and/or quantitatively by means of a quality measure after the conversion. Here, it is also proposed, at least according to one embodiment, to take into account the hybrid operating mode.
Now, it can be evaluated, for example, whether or not the voltage fluctuations can be reduced, or to what extent they can be reduced, for example, after a transition from an operating mode in which current is fed to an operating mode in which voltage is fed. If in the example it is observed that the voltage fluctuations have been significantly reduced, the switching can in principle be evaluated as good. If the effect is small, it can be considered, for example, that a change to the operating mode of the supply voltage has already taken place earlier, i.e. at smaller voltage fluctuations.
In particular, when the mixing operation is considered together, in order to maintain the example of voltage fluctuations, the proportion of the voltage-fed cells, i.e. the cells which have been switched into the voltage-fed operating mode, can be increased if the previously selected mixing pattern, i.e. the previously selected mixing operating mode, has proven to be insufficient.
The knowledge thus obtained can be implemented and stored with or without the hybrid operating mode present, so that the switching open-loop control device is usually changed, i.e. adapted. I.e. the changes determined here in the future by the corresponding adaptation settings conversion algorithm. In the simplest example, this can mean that for the example of voltage fluctuations, the voltage limit for the transition is changed and the changed limit is used the next time. However, more complex associations can also be matched in this way.
According to a further embodiment, it is provided that an operation at a feed frequency can additionally be selected, in which the feed device controlled by the converter is controlled open-loop or closed-loop to a desired frequency value, in particular a changeover between the operation at the feed frequency and an open-frequency (open-frequency) operating mode can be carried out. In this case, the converter-controlled feed-in device is closed-loop controlled in the open-frequency operating mode to the frequency detected in the supply grid. If the feed device is therefore in the open-frequency operating mode, the corresponding desired signal is preset on the basis of the frequency detected in the power supply network and as a function of this frequency. This means that the voltage is preset at the frequency value during operation of the supply voltage or the current, i.e. the desired current, is preset at the frequency value during operation of the supply current. During operation of the feed frequency, a voltage signal is generated at a predetermined frequency and the predetermined frequency is able to track the grid frequency. For this purpose, it is proposed that the tracking of the frequency takes place with a large time constant.
If the feed device is now switched into operation at the feed frequency, which is provided in particular for operation at the feed voltage, the corresponding desired value, i.e. in particular the voltage desired value during operation at the feed voltage, does not track the frequency detected in the supply network or may track it only with a delay. Instead, a frequency is preset, and then a voltage desired value, i.e. a series of momentary values, is preset at the preset frequency. The feed device can thus assume or assist frequency control or contribute to higher frequency constants. Such a feed frequency operation is advantageous and preferably subsequently proposed, in particular in the case of an identified sub-grid formation, in particular in the case of an identified islanded grid formation.
According to another embodiment, it is provided that the converter-controlled feed-in outputs a voltage signal at the voltage output. The voltage output is connected to the choke such that, depending on the voltage signal, depending on the voltage in the supply network and depending on the choke, an output current and an output voltage are obtained at the output of the choke. In this case, an output voltage and likewise an output current are obtained at the output of the choke. The output voltage and the output current are used for a further closed loop control step.
Starting from this, in the current-fed operating mode, a current closed-loop control is used and the output current is fed back as the actual value. Accordingly, it is compared with the desired value for the output current, in the context of the comparison of the desired actual value of the closed-loop control technique.
Additionally or alternatively, in the voltage-fed operating mode, a voltage closed-loop control is used and the output voltage at the output of the choke is fed back as the actual value. This can then be compared to the desired voltage value.
Said feedback and comparison of the output current or output voltage is understood to be a comparison of instantaneous values.
According to another embodiment, it is provided that the switching or the selection between the operating mode in which voltage is supplied and the operating mode in which current is supplied is effected by a computer-implemented open-loop control device. In this case, the criterion and the control law and the resulting control commands can therefore be implemented in a simple manner in a computer-implemented open-loop control device. Possible changes can be implemented by reprogramming or installing updates. Furthermore, more complex open-loop control, including adaptive algorithms, can also be implemented in a simple manner.
In particular, for the implementation of the open-loop control device by means of a computer, a detection is provided to feed back the output current and the output voltage as a permanent feedback. Thus, both variables are fed back and, therefore, the computer-implemented open-loop control means are able to utilize both variables and select between the detected output current and the detected output voltage as the actual value fed back. I.e. it is thus also possible to switch between operating modes in a simple manner and temporarily for a short period of time.
It is proposed in particular that such a computer-implemented open-loop control device is provided at each feed-in unit. If necessary, the requirements for the conversion can be provided as a request signal from the upper central open-loop control unit to each of the computer-implemented open-loop control devices.
According to a further embodiment, it is provided that the converter-controlled feed device has at least one converter in order to generate a voltage signal as a pulsed voltage signal by means of a pulse pattern, and wherein the pulse pattern is generated as a function of the selected operating mode and the fed-back actual value. I.e. if the operating mode in which the current is fed is selected as operating mode, the instantaneous value is set accordingly using the fed back actual value of the output current and is compared here with the corresponding desired current, i.e. a respective series of instantaneous values. Accordingly, if the operating mode of the supply voltage is selected, the fed-back voltage actual signal is used and compared with the voltage desired value. In this way, a changeover between the operation with current supply and the operation with voltage supply can be effected in a simple manner.
According to another embodiment, the current or voltage band is preset as the desired current or voltage value. The output current to be generated or the output voltage to be generated then only needs to be realized in the following ranges: the output current to be generated or the output voltage to be generated is in a current band or a voltage band. In this way too strong closed-loop control activities can be avoided. In particular, it can also be provided that no closed-loop control is implemented as long as the actual current signal and the actual voltage signal are in the respective band, i.e. in the current band or the voltage band. This also relates to a series of momentary values, respectively.
According to the invention, a feed-in device, in particular a wind power installation or a wind power plant, is also proposed. The feed device is provided for feeding electrical power into a supply grid at a grid connection point. The feed device has at least one converter or inverter for carrying out the feed, so that the feed device operates in a converter-controlled manner. The converter or inverter is used in particular for generating a feed signal having a corresponding voltage amplitude, frequency and phase for feeding into a supply network. It is unimportant whether this is done by an inverter having a direct voltage as supply source on the input side or by a converter having an alternating voltage as energy source on the input side, as long as the converter or the inverter outputs a corresponding signal having a corresponding amplitude, frequency and phase on the output side.
It is now proposed for the feed device to have at least one switching open-loop control for switching between a current-feeding operating mode and a voltage-feeding operating mode. Such a switching open-loop control means can preferably be realized by a computer-implemented open-loop control means.
Here, the operation mode in which the current is fed is an operation mode in which open-loop control or closed-loop control is performed for a desired value of the current, and the operation mode in which the voltage is fed is an operation mode in which open-loop control or closed-loop control is performed for a desired value of the voltage.
It is also conceivable that at least one switching open-loop control device also sets the switching on or the selection of the hybrid operating mode.
Preferably, the feed device operates as described above in accordance with at least one embodiment of the method for feeding electrical power into a supply grid.
Thereby, the possibilities and advantages described in connection with at least one embodiment of the feeding method can be achieved by the feeding device.

According to the invention, it is particularly apparent that the power supply network can be varied. This can be, for example, a european utility grid, which is mentioned here by way of example and is described in a simplified manner as a utility grid, also representing a further utility grid. By replacing the conventional power plant by a converter-based, renewable energy facility, the generator feeding the voltage can be missing for the combined system.
When operating without interference, the combined network can be operated with as few units as possible, distributed as evenly as possible, to no supply voltage.
It is known, however, that in disturbed operation, in grid rebuild operation or in black start situations, but it is possible that the performance of the feeding voltage can be necessary, at least can be helpful.
In order to achieve this, it is proposed that the installation, in particular a wind energy installation or a wind power plant, then, depending on the characteristics of the power grid and/or the operating point of the installation, is operated either in the current-fed or voltage-fed manner and the characteristics are dynamically converted.
An achievable advantage of the solution is to avoid instabilities caused by a cluster of too many systems of feed voltage, with a minimum requirement of the systems simultaneously covering the feed voltage in the power grid.
