Background

The belt conveyor is important equipment for transferring and conveying bulk cargo materials, is widely applied to the fields of mineral products, coal, ports, power stations, building materials, grains and the like, has the tearing problem which is a common fault in the production operation process, has long influence time and serious loss, and even causes casualties.

The tearing is mainly caused by that foreign matters or impurities injure and penetrate through the conveying belt, are clamped on the conveying belt and are clamped on a hopper or other positions in the operation process, so that the conveying belt is broken and cut through; or a broken hole or a wound is formed, the broken hole or the wound is extruded and interfered with a sweeper in the operation process to form a torn rubber strip, and the rubber strip is torn in a long distance when passing through the sweeper; or deviation occurs in the running process, and the side part is interfered with other structures of equipment, so that the side part is cracked or torn.

The existing tearing detection mainly depends on a conveyer belt to form a certain degree of damage, and then the tearing problem is detected and discovered. Most of detection switch designs are in conveyer belt carrier segment bottom side, carry the non-working face of carrier segment and detect, if: a steel wire rope (or other flexible linear materials) is arranged at the position close to the bottom side (non-working surface) of the bearing section to be connected with a limit switch; a rigidity detection support is arranged to match with a movable connecting rod mechanism; installing a pressure-sensitive element to receive a foreign object impact signal; and installing an infrared correlation original to detect signals and the like when the partition is detected.

The existing tearing detection can only carry out effective detection when an adhesive tape generated when a conveying belt is torn is positioned on one side of a non-working surface (or after a broken hole is generated and coal is scattered). The conveyer belt has wide application and wide market prospect, and has huge growth potential along with the construction of unmanned intelligent ports.
