Background

The drop-out fuse is the most commonly used short-circuit protection switch for 10kV distribution line branch lines and distribution transformers, has the characteristics of economy, convenient operation, strong adaptability to outdoor environment and the like, is widely applied to the primary side of the 10kV distribution line and distribution transformers for protection and equipment switching and cutting operation, movable contacts at two ends of a fuse tube are tied by a fuse wire (melt), after the upper movable contact is pushed into a 'duckbill' protruding part, an upper static contact made of phosphor copper sheets and the like is propped against the upper movable contact, and therefore the fuse tube is firmly clamped in the 'duckbill'. When the short-circuit current is fused through the fuse wire, an electric arc is generated, a steel paper tube lined in the fuse tube generates a large amount of gas under the action of the electric arc, the gas is sealed due to the upper end of the fuse tube, and the gas is sprayed out to the lower end to blow out the electric arc. The fuse tube falls rapidly under the action of the gravity of the fuse tube and the spring pieces of the upper and lower static contacts, so that a circuit is disconnected, and a fault section circuit or fault equipment is cut off.
