1. An earpiece for detecting brain electrical activity of a human subject, comprising:

a flexible substrate sized to fit the forehead of the subject;

a plurality of electrodes disposed on the substrate such that: the electrode contacts the subject while the earpiece is positioned on the subject;

wherein the first electrode is configured to contact a lower central region of the forehead, the second electrode is configured to contact an upper central region of the forehead, the third electrode is configured to contact a right front region of the forehead, the fourth electrode is configured to contact a left front region of the forehead, the fifth electrode is configured to contact a right side region of the forehead, and the sixth electrode is configured to contact a left side region of the forehead;

a nasion point, wherein the nasion point extends a predetermined consistent distance from the first electrode and is sized such that: the first electrode is positioned a predetermined uniform distance away from an anatomical region on a lower central region of the forehead when the nasal root point is aligned with the anatomical region of the subject; and

a flexible circuit associated with the substrate and operatively coupled to each electrode of the plurality of electrodes.

2. The headphone of claim 1, wherein the nasion point comprises a protrusion.

3. The headset of claim 1, wherein the anatomical region is a nasion of the subject.

4. The headset of claim 1, wherein the headset is dimensioned such that: the plurality of electrodes are oriented on the forehead below the hairline of the subject when the nasal root point is aligned with the anatomical region.

5. The headset of claim 1, wherein the nasion point comprises at least one visual indicia indicator.

6. The earphone of claim 1, wherein at least one of the plurality of electrodes is a ground electrode.

7. An earpiece for detecting brain electrical activity of a human subject, comprising:

a flexible substrate sized to fit the forehead of the subject;

a plurality of electrodes disposed on the substrate such that: the electrode contacts the subject while the earpiece is positioned on the subject;

a first electrode of the plurality of electrodes, wherein the first electrode is configured to contact a lower central region of the forehead; and

a nasion point extending a predetermined consistent distance from the first electrode, wherein the earpiece is dimensioned such that: when positioned on the forehead, the nasal root is aligned with an anatomical region of the subject, and the first electrode is positioned on the forehead a predetermined uniform distance away from the anatomical region.

8. The earpiece of claim 7, wherein the anatomical region is a nasion of the subject.

9. The headphone of claim 7, wherein the nasion point is configured to: positioning the headset on the forehead of the subject by positioning the first electrode at a lower central region of the forehead when the nasion point is aligned with the nasion of the subject.

10. The earpiece of claim 7, wherein the nasion point includes a protrusion.

11. The headphones of claim 7, wherein the nasion point comprises at least one visual marker indicator.

12. The headset of claim 7, further comprising a second electrode configured to contact a front right region of the forehead and a third electrode configured to contact a front left region of the forehead.

13. The headset of claim 12, wherein the second electrode and the third electrode are movable in at least a vertical direction relative to other electrodes of the plurality of electrodes.

14. The headset of claim 12, wherein the second electrode comprises a first distance indicating gauge and the third electrode comprises a second distance indicating gauge, and the first distance indicating gauge and the second distance indicating gauge each comprise a protrusion.

15. The headset of claim 14, wherein at least one of the first distance indicating gauge and the second distance indicating gauge comprises a visual indicia indicator.

16. The headset of claim 14, wherein the first distance indicator is configured to position the second electrode on a right anterior region of the forehead relative to the eyebrows, and the second distance indicator is configured to position the third electrode on a left anterior region of the forehead relative to the eyebrows.

17. The earpiece of claim 7, wherein the earpiece includes a first end and a second end, wherein the first end and the second end each include a securement device configured to engage an ear of the subject to hold the substrate across a forehead of the subject.

18. The headset of claim 7, wherein the plurality of electrodes further comprises a second electrode configured to contact an upper central region of the forehead, a third electrode configured to contact a front right region of the forehead, a fourth electrode configured to contact a front left region of the forehead, a fifth electrode configured to contact a right side region of the forehead, and a sixth electrode configured to contact a left side region of the forehead.

19. A method of placing a headset for detecting brain electrical activity of a human subject on a forehead of the subject below a hairline of the subject, the headset having a plurality of electrodes, the method comprising:

aligning a nasion point with a nasion of the subject, the nasion point extending a predetermined uniform distance from a first electrode of the headset, wherein aligning the nasion point positions the first electrode at a lower central region of the forehead of the subject at the predetermined uniform distance from the first electrode and positions a second electrode of the headset at an upper central region of the subject;

attaching the first electrode to a lower central region of the forehead;

attaching the second electrode to an upper central region of the forehead below the hairline of the subject;

attaching a third electrode of the headset to a right anterior region of the forehead above a right eyebrow of the subject;

attaching a fourth electrode of the headset to a left front region of the forehead on a left eyebrow of the subject;

attaching a fifth electrode of the headset to a right side region of the forehead; and

attaching a sixth electrode of the headset to a left side region of the forehead.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the method further comprises engaging at least one earring with an ear of the subject to position the headset across the forehead of the subject.

21. The method of claim 19, wherein attaching at least one of the third electrode or the fourth electrode comprises: moving at least one of the third electrode or the fourth electrode in a vertical direction relative to other electrodes of the plurality of electrodes prior to affixing the at least one of the third electrode or the fourth electrode to the forehead.

22. The method of claim 19, wherein attaching the third and fourth electrodes comprises aligning a first distance indicating instrument with a right eyebrow of the subject and aligning a second distance indicating instrument with a left eyebrow of the subject.

23. The method of claim 19, further comprising connecting the headset to a processor.
