5. The PowerVC-based storage access method as recited in claim 4, wherein the identification number refers to one or more of a unique hardware identification (WWN), a port number (WWPN), and a node number (WWNN).

6. The PowerVC-based storage access method as recited in claim 5, wherein the identification numbers used by the physical storages are of different types.

7. The PowerVC-based storage access method as recited in claim 1, wherein the physical storage is a plurality of physical storage, and wherein the storage types of the physical storage are not all the same.

8. The PowerVC-based storage access method of claim 1, wherein the data transmission format of the ports of the fabric switch is compatible with a plurality of storage types.

9. Computer readable storage medium, in which a computer program is stored, which, when being executed by a processor, is able to carry out the PowerVC-based storage access method according to any one of claims 1 to 8.

A PowerVC server comprising a plurality of virtual machines, a virtual IO controller, a hardware management device, a fabric switch, and a processor, wherein the processor has pre-stored therein a computer readable storage medium as claimed in claim 9, and a computer program on the computer readable storage medium is executable by the processor.

Technical Field

The invention relates to the field of cloud computing, in particular to a storage access method based on PowerVC, a computer readable storage medium and a server.

Background

The emergence of cloud computing technology has brought brand-new IT infrastructure construction, use and delivery modes. The cloud computing obtains the virtual machine through a server virtualization technology and provides the virtual machine as a service server for a user to use. Virtualization plays a key role in cloud computing. IBM Power virtualization center (PowerVC) is a virtualization management tool built based on OpenStack, which can maximally utilize virtualization functions of Power Systems hardware, can create a virtual environment through registered physical host/system, storage and network resources, and can recognize and manage a Virtual Machine (VM) template library to rapidly deploy a VM environment. PowerVC supports a large number of storage types, such as Storwize, DS8000, EMC VMAX, EMC VNX, XIV, HDS, but for other types of storage, PowerVC has some different limitations and differences in function and use, for example, current support of storage type XIV by PowerVC is only limited by vSCSI connection. This limitation makes it impossible to use some memory types when installing or modifying PowerVC.

The storage access method based on the PowerVC is provided, so that the PowerVC can adapt to various storage types.

The PowerVC server comprises a plurality of virtual machines, a virtual IO controller, hardware management equipment, a fiber switch and a processor, wherein the fiber switch is provided with a fiber disk and used for storing data of the fiber switch. In the PowerVC, data is transmitted through a fiber switch, only addresses are changed, and data types are not changed.

When the data is stored in the physical server, the storage format of the related data is converted into the storage format of the optical fiber disk of the optical fiber switch, and then the data is converted into the physical storage format and then is transmitted to the physical storage. When the data of the physical storage is output outwards, the related data enters the optical fiber switch in the format of the physical storage itself, and then is output outwards after being transferred to the optical fiber disk of the optical fiber switch through the conversion format, so that the external interface of the optical fiber switch is used as the external interface of the physical storage, and the output data is in the external output format of the optical fiber switch (or is converted into the storage type supported by other PowerVC).

The storage access method based on the PowerVC enables the content of physical storage to be stored by the optical fiber disk of the optical fiber switch and the storage format to be switched, and solves the problem that the storage type cannot be used when the PowerVC is installed or modified.

Wherein said connecting the physical storage to the fibre-optic switch fabric is effected in an internal interactive manner, other external connections to the physical storage of the fibre-optic switch being cut off. Specifically, the internal interaction is by directly connecting a port of the physical storage to a port of the fabric switch, or by associating an identification number of the physical storage to a port of the fabric switch. The identification number of the physical storage is one or more of a hardware identification WWN, a port number WWPN and a node number WWNN, and under the condition that the storage types of a plurality of physical storages are not identical, the identification numbers adopted by the physical storages are different in types. The data transmission format of the port of the optical fiber switch is adaptive to various storage types, so that the storage access method based on the PowerVC is realized.
