1. Device for driving a flexible spray gun for cleaning heat exchanger pipes or the like, provided with a frame in which a drive mechanism is arranged for moving the flexible spray gun in a drive direction in the direction of an outlet opening, wherein the drive mechanism is provided with a clamping member which can be clamped on the flexible spray gun and which can be moved in the frame towards and away from the outlet opening, wherein the clamping member is mounted on an annular drive element, wherein an active part of the annular drive extends parallel to the drive direction, wherein the drive mechanism further comprises at least one non-driven counter roller arranged opposite the clamping member, wherein the spray gun is clamped between the clamping member and the counter roller.

2. The apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun of claim 1 wherein said reverse roller is biased in a direction toward said clamping element for clamping said spray gun between said reverse roller and said clamping element.

3. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the drive mechanism is provided with a plurality of counter rollers, wherein the axes of rotation of the counter rollers extend substantially in a plane parallel to the drive direction.

4. The apparatus of claims 2 and 3, wherein the plurality of rollers are arranged on a separate counter roller frame mounted in the frame, wherein the counter roller frame is movable relative to the frame, wherein the counter roller frame is biased in the frame.

5. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to claim 3 or 4 wherein at least two of the counter rollers are movable relative to each other in a direction towards and away from the spray gun to be driven.

6. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to claim 5, wherein at least two reverse rollers are arranged on a sub-frame, wherein the sub-frame is pivotally arranged to allow relative movement of the reverse rollers.

7. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to at least claims 4 and 6, wherein the sub-frame is pivotally arranged in the counter roller frame.

8. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the annular drive element comprises a plurality of independent clamping members arranged along its length.

9. The apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to claim 8, wherein the clamping member is arranged to be pivotally connected to the annular drive element.

10. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to claims 8 and 9 wherein the clamping members are arranged on the annular drive element at a mutual distance along the length of the annular drive element.

11. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to claim 9 or 10 wherein counter rollers are located at least near the ends of the active portion of the annular drive element.

12. The apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to claim 11, wherein counter rollers are located at least at both ends of the active portion of the annular drive element.

13. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to any one of claims 8 to 12, wherein the clamping member comprises a base member arranged to be connected to the annular drive element, wherein the base member holds the plastic engagement member.

14. The apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun of claim 13 wherein said base member is generally U-shaped with said engagement members received between legs of said U-shape.

15. Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the clamping member is provided with an engagement surface at least partially formed complementary to the spray gun to be engaged.

16. The apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun of claim 15 wherein said clamping member has a V-shaped groove.

Apparatus for driving a flexible spray gun according to claim 15 or 16, wherein if no spray gun is provided to the drive system, the counter roller is arranged to substantially engage the engagement surface of the gripping member such that the distance between the axis of the counter roller and the upper end of the gripping member on the active path in contact with the counter roller is equal to or less than the radius of the counter roller.

18. An annular drive element provided with a clamping member for a device according to any one of the preceding claims.
