As used herein, the term "and/or" includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.

Referring to fig. 1, the present application provides an obstacle avoidance method for a surgical robot. The obstacle avoidance method of the surgical robot comprises the following steps: step S100, a target configuration of a surgical robot is set, the surgical robot including a base 20 and a plurality of links 30. The base 20 or the connecting rod 30 of the surgical robot is provided with a plurality of driving motors, and the driving motors can be controlled by the controller and are used for driving the connecting rod 30 to move according to the set direction and distance. Step S200, determining whether a collision will occur between the base 20 and the non-connected link 30 and/or between any two non-connected links 30 in the target configuration. Step S300, if judging that the base 20 and the connecting rods 30 which are not connected with the base in the target configuration and/or any two connecting rods 30 which are not connected with the base can collide, returning to the step of setting the target configuration. And step S400, otherwise, acquiring point cloud data corresponding to the external environment of the surgical robot, and establishing an environment model according to the point cloud data. Step S500, determining whether the link 30 collides with an object in the external environment according to the environment model. In step S600, if it is determined that the link 30 collides with an object in the environmental model, the process returns to the step of setting the target configuration.

In step S100, the configuration of the surgical robot is the positions of all points of the robot. The number of minimum real coordinates describing the configuration of the surgical robot is the number of degrees of freedom of the robot. The multi-dimensional space formed by the coordinates comprises all possible configurations of the robot, namely a configuration space. The configuration of the surgical robot may be described by a point in its configuration space. It will be appreciated that a surgical robot generally includes a robotic arm comprising a base 20 and a plurality of links 30. Wherein the robot arm may be an open kinematic chain formed by a series of links 30 connected in series by moving and rotating joints. The base 20 may be provided on a robot moving base. The position of the robot motion base is required to ensure that the end effector of the surgical robot can reach any point in the surgical field, usually adjusted by the surgeon prior to surgery and locked and held stationary during the surgery.

In step S200, before controlling the surgical robot to start operating, a control command may be first input to the control system of the surgical robot. And the control system of the surgical robot can calculate the target configuration of the surgical robot according to the control instruction. It is understood that the surgical robot may collide with itself when performing the pose change, and the collision may cause the surgical robot to be damaged or fail to reach the target pose in time. Thus, in the resulting target configuration, it may be desirable to first determine whether the surgical robot itself, i.e., any two unconnected bases 20 and/or links 30 in the surgical robot, will collide. By judging the self collision condition of the surgical robot, useless collision judgment processes can be reduced, and the response speed of the surgical robot to a control command is improved.

In step S300, the surgical robot is composed of a series of links 30, a common six-degree-of-freedom robot may be composed of the base 20 and six links 30, and a seven-degree-of-freedom robot may be composed of the base 20 and seven links 30. During the movement of the surgical robot, there may be a collision between the base 20 of the surgical robot and the links 30 not connected thereto, and each link 30 and the link 30 not connected thereto, and at this time, the robot body is an obstacle. If it is determined that there is a collision between the base 20 and the connecting rods 30 not connected to the base in the target configuration, and/or there is a collision between any two connecting rods 30 not connected to the base, that is, the surgical robot itself collides, at this time, the surgical robot control system may control the surgical robot to stop moving to the target configuration, and recalculate the target configuration or remind the doctor to re-input the control instruction according to the processing condition of the surgical robot on the lesion area, thereby avoiding the occurrence of collision.

In step S400, the external environment of the surgical robot is the real surgical environment. It will be appreciated that the real surgical environment is very complex and that the surgical robot may collide with the surrounding environment when moving to the target configuration. After the fact that the surgical robot does not collide in the target configuration is judged, the external environment of the surgical robot can be obtained, and collected image information is converted into point cloud data. And establishing an environment model of the surgical robot according to the point cloud data, and providing required data for judging the collision condition of the surgical robot and the external environment. The method can be understood that whether the surgical robot collides or not is judged firstly, whether the surgical robot collides with the external environment or not is judged, the collision condition of the surgical robot and the external environment does not need to be judged when the surgical robot collides, time for judging the target configuration to collide is saved, and the response speed of the surgical robot to the control command is improved.

Optionally, the obstacle avoidance method for the surgical robot according to the present application does not limit the order of determining the collision of the surgical robot with itself and the external environment. In one embodiment, at a certain stage of the surgical robot performing the surgical task, a collision condition between the surgical robot and the external environment may be judged first. When the surgical robot collides with the external environment, the step of setting the target configuration of the surgical robot is directly returned without judging the self collision condition of the surgical robot. When the surgical robot does not collide with the external environment, the collision condition of the surgical robot is further judged. Namely, the sequence of judging the self collision of the surgical robot and the collision with the external environment can be set according to the actual surgical process. The two judgment modes are flexibly used, so that the operation flexibility of the obstacle avoidance system can be improved, and the utilization efficiency of the surgical robot is improved.

In steps S500 and S600, it is determined whether each link 30 collides with each object in the external environment based on the environment model. If any connecting rod 30 collides with any object in the external environment, it is determined that the surgical robot collides with the external environment, and at this time, the surgical robot control system may control the surgical robot to stop moving to the target configuration, and recalculate the target configuration or remind the doctor to re-input the control instruction according to the processing condition of the surgical robot on the lesion area, so as to avoid the obstacle.

Referring also to fig. 2, in one embodiment, a model of the base 20 and the link 30 of the surgical robot is first created and read, and the read model of the base 20 and the link 30 of the surgical robot is preprocessed. In one embodiment, the base 20 and the link 30 of the surgical robot may be modeled as a triangular mesh model (Tris)0,Tris1,Tris2,Tris3,Tris4,Tris5,Tris6). It can be understood that in the hierarchical bounding box calculation, bounding boxes with simple geometric characteristics can be used to approximately describe complex objects, and then collision detection of geometric objects is performed through intersection tests among the bounding boxes. Therefore, the triangular network model can be preprocessed by adopting a hierarchical bounding box algorithm to obtain a model preprocessing result (HB)0,HB1,HB2,HB3,HB4,HB5,HB6) The method can be used for the self collision judgment process of the subsequent surgical robot. After the preprocessing process is finished, the position and posture relation between the coordinate system of the sensor and the coordinate system of the surgical robot can be calibratedAnd according to the position of the sensor coordinate system and the surgical robot coordinate systemAttitude relationship, building a kinematic model of the surgical robot

Setting a target configuration (theta) of a surgical robot123456) I.e. the joint angle of the surgical robot, in combination with the kinematic model of the surgical robotSeparately calculating a position and attitude matrix, i.e., a homogeneous transformation matrix, of each link 30 of the surgical robotAccording to the preprocessing result of the triangular network model and the homogeneous transformation matrix, whether the base 20 of the surgical robot collides with the connecting rods 30 which are not adjacent to the base 20 and/or any two connecting rods 30 which are not adjacent to the base or not is judged. And if the collision occurs, returning to the step of setting the target configuration. Referring to fig. 3-4, if no collision occurs, the surgical robot is controlled to drive the sensor 10 to acquire or supplement point cloud data (PC) of the external environment of the surgical robot at different poses1,PC2,...,PCn). According to a plurality of point cloud data acquired by the sensor 10 and a robot kinematic equation, calculating the corresponding pose of the sensor 10 when each point cloud data is acquiredAnd establishing an environment map by adopting a point cloud splicing method according to the acquired point cloud data and the pose of the sensor 10 corresponding to each point cloud data to obtain an environment model. And judging whether the surgical robot connecting rod 30 collides with an object in the external environment or not according to the environment model, returning to the step of setting the target configuration if the collision occurs, and controlling the surgical robot to move to the target configuration if the collision does not occur.

In the obstacle avoidance method for the surgical robot, whether collision occurs between the base 20 and the connecting rods 30 which are not connected with the base and/or between any two connecting rods 30 which are not connected with the base in the target configuration or not is judged by setting the target configuration of the surgical robot. If the collision occurs, the target configuration is reset, otherwise, an environment model is further established, and whether the link 30 collides with an object in the external environment is judged according to the environment model. If a collision occurs, the target configuration is reset. By adopting the obstacle avoidance method for the surgical robot, the surgical robot can successively complete self-collision detection and external collision detection in a complex surgical environment, avoid obstacles existing in a preset moving path of the surgical robot, smoothly complete designated surgical work, and improve the practicability and the intelligence of the surgical robot.

In one embodiment, determining whether a collision would occur between base 20 and a non-connected link 30, and/or between any two non-connected links 30, in the target configuration comprises: the position and attitude matrix of each link 30 in the target configuration is calculated separately from the robot kinematics equations. According to the position and posture matrix of each connecting rod 30, an obstacle avoidance algorithm is adopted to judge whether collision occurs between the base 20 and the connecting rods 30 which are not connected with the base and/or between any two connecting rods 30 which are not connected with the base. It can be understood that according to the target configuration of the surgical robot, in combination with the kinematic equation of the robot, the position and posture matrix of each link 30 in the target configuration, i.e., the homogeneous transformation matrix, is calculated respectively. An obstacle avoidance algorithm is then used to calculate whether a collision has occurred between the base 20 of the surgical robot and each of the unconnected links 30, and whether a collision has occurred between each of the links 30 and the unconnected links 30. If any collision occurs, the surgical robot is controlled to stop moving to the target configuration, so that the surgical robot can be controlled to avoid obstacles in time, and the occurrence of collision is avoided.

In one embodiment, the step of acquiring point cloud data corresponding to an external environment of the surgical robot and establishing an environment model according to the point cloud data includes: point cloud data corresponding to an external environment of the surgical robot is acquired. And establishing an environment model by adopting a three-dimensional point cloud reconstruction algorithm according to the point cloud data. It can be understood that due to the limitations of the measuring equipment and the use environment, when the measured data of the surface of the object in the external environment is obtained, the point cloud data obtained by each measurement is usually a partial surface of the object, and phenomena such as translational misalignment or rotational misalignment may occur, resulting in deviation of the point cloud data from the actual ideal data. Thus, local point cloud data may be integrated and registered to obtain point cloud data of the complete surface of the object in the external environment. It can be understood that the three-dimensional point cloud reconstruction algorithm is not limited in the application, as long as the three-dimensional point cloud reconstruction algorithm can carry out curved surface reconstruction on the collected point cloud data and can obtain an environment model meeting the collision judgment requirement.

In one embodiment, the method for establishing an environment model by using a three-dimensional point cloud reconstruction algorithm according to point cloud data comprises the following steps: according to the point cloud data, generating integral point cloud data of an external environment by adopting a point cloud splicing algorithm, performing space segmentation on the integral point cloud data by adopting an octree to obtain a space grid, setting different marks in different space grids according to the positions of the point cloud data in the space grid, and establishing an environment model. In one embodiment, the space mesh occupied by the point cloud is set as a mark 1, and the space mesh not occupied by the point cloud is set as a mark 0, so that an environment model can be obtained for collision detection. It can be understood that the data structure for three-dimensional point cloud reconstruction is complex and the data scale is huge, so that the storage and compression of point cloud data become key factors influencing the efficiency of the three-dimensional point cloud reconstruction algorithm. General scattered point cloud data are not suitable for being subjected to curved surface reconstruction directly, and the point cloud data can be segmented firstly. The octree is applied to the partition of the three-dimensional entity space, so that the speed of the three-dimensional point cloud reconstruction algorithm can be increased, and the real-time obstacle avoidance of the surgical robot is realized. After the reconstruction of the external environment is completed using the octree, each link 30 of the surgical robot may be subjected to collision detection with an object in the reconstructed external environment. If the surgical robot collides with an object in the external environment, the surgical robot may avoid the obstacle.

In one embodiment, acquiring point cloud data corresponding to an external environment of a surgical robot includes: the point cloud data corresponding to the external environment of the surgical robot is collected in real time using the sensor 10. It is understood that the actual surgical environment is not a structured environment, typically a dynamic environment. Therefore, the sensor 10 can be used for acquiring point cloud information corresponding to the external environment of the surgical robot in real time, and the surgical environment is continuously reconstructed, so that real-time obstacle avoidance of the surgical robot is realized.

In one embodiment, if the time required for the surgical robot to move to the target configuration is long, that is, there are multiple path points in the path plan of the surgical robot, obstacles may occur due to external environment changes during the movement of the surgical robot to the target configuration. At this time, under the preset condition, it is not necessary to determine whether the surgical robot collides with itself, but only in the process that the surgical robot moves to the target configuration, the step of determining whether the connecting rod 30 in the surgical robot collides with an object in the external environment is repeatedly performed. If collision occurs, the surgical robot control system can control the surgical robot to avoid the newly added obstacles in time, so that real-time obstacle avoidance of the surgical robot is realized. If the target configuration of the surgical robot is two adjacent or similar path points in the path planning, the real-time obstacle avoidance of the surgical robot can be realized without acquiring point cloud data of the external environment in real time by the sensor 10.

It can be understood that path planning mainly refers to selecting a path from a starting point to a target point on known map information by a surgical robot according to a predetermined control instruction, and the path planning in the present application is path planning when the surgical robot needs to be far away from or avoid an important organ region in a process of processing a lesion region. When the surgical robot processes the focus area, the starting point of the mechanical arm and the important space coordinate are fixed, but the middle position where the mechanical arm passes through in the motion process is not limited.

Referring to fig. 5-6 together, in one embodiment, the sensor 10 is one or more of a depth camera, a binocular camera, and a lidar, and the sensor 10 is mounted in a suitable location in the external environment or at the end of the surgical robot. It can be understood that sensors 10 that can acquire environmental point clouds, such as depth cameras, binocular cameras, and laser radars, may all be used in this application, and in actual application, a plurality of sensors 10 may be used to collect point cloud data to avoid blind areas. In one embodiment, the sensor 10 may be mounted directly on the surgical robot or may be fixed in place in the operating room. Optionally, the sensor 10 is installed at a side portion of the execution end 110 of the surgical robot, the sensor 10 can rotate around a longitudinal axis of the execution end 110, and the sensor 10 can also move along a direction substantially parallel to the execution end 110, so that the sensor 10 can acquire environment point cloud data at different spatial positions, the execution end 110 can avoid shielding the environment point cloud data acquired by the sensor 10, and some environment point cloud data of shooting dead corners, thereby improving integrity and accuracy of the acquired environment point cloud data. The obstacle avoidance method of the surgical robot senses the external environment of the surgical robot by using sensors 10 such as a depth camera, binocular vision or a laser radar and the like, and collects point cloud information of the external environment, so that the obstacle avoidance function of the surgical robot in a dynamic complex surgical environment can be realized, the surgical robot can automatically avoid obstacles to smoothly complete designated surgical work, and the practicability and the intelligent degree of the surgical robot are improved.

In one embodiment, the environmental model includes one or more objects in the object to be operated, the surgical table, the doctor, and the robotic motion base. It is understood that objects in different environment models of the surgical robot can be replaced, added or reduced according to actual conditions. The model of the key part or the focus area of the patient can be replaced according to the actual condition. In addition, the degree of freedom and the number of joints of the surgical robot may be changed depending on the actual situation. In one embodiment, a common surgical scene includes an object to be operated on, an operating table, a doctor, and a robotic motion base. Wherein, the model of the key part or focus area of the patient can be obtained by medical imaging equipment, such as computed tomography imaging. The sickbed model, the robot moving base model and the operation robot model can be obtained through three-dimensional modeling. It is understood that, in determining whether the surgical robot collides with an object in the external environment, whether a collision occurs between the object to be operated, the operating table, the doctor, and the robot moving base and each of the links 30 of the surgical robot may be sequentially detected. Once a collision occurs, the robot cannot move to this configuration, avoiding the collision. Alternatively, the sensor 10 is mounted on a movable support that may be fixed to the surgical robot or independent of the surgical robot.

In one embodiment, the obstacle avoidance method for the surgical robot further includes: and controlling the surgical robot to move to the target configuration if the connecting rod 30 in the target configuration of the surgical robot does not collide with the object in the environment model. It is understood that when it is determined that the target configuration of the surgical robot does not collide with any of the objects in the environment model, the surgical robot may be controlled to move to the target configuration.

In one embodiment, the step of determining whether the link 30 collides with an object in the external environment includes: and judging whether the connecting rod 30 collides with an object in the external environment or not by adopting an obstacle avoidance algorithm. In one embodiment, the obstacle avoidance algorithm is a hierarchical bounding box algorithm. It is understood that the bounding box algorithm is an algorithm for solving the optimal bounding space of a discrete point set, and the basic idea is to approximately replace complex geometric objects with slightly larger volumes and simple characteristics, i.e., bounding boxes. In one embodiment, the directional bounding box OBB may be used as an obstacle avoidance algorithm. The size and the direction of the bounding box of the OBB are determined according to the geometric shape of the object, and the bounding box does not need to be vertical to the coordinate axes. The OBB bounding box is good in compactness, the number of bounding boxes participating in intersection tests and the number of basic geometric elements can be reduced by times, and the accuracy and the real-time performance of collision detection can be improved.

The technical features of the embodiments described above may be arbitrarily combined, and for the sake of brevity, all possible combinations of the technical features in the embodiments described above are not described, but should be considered as being within the scope of the present specification as long as there is no contradiction between the combinations of the technical features.

The above-mentioned embodiments only express several embodiments of the present application, and the description thereof is more specific and detailed, but not construed as limiting the claims. It should be noted that, for a person skilled in the art, several variations and modifications can be made without departing from the concept of the present application, which falls within the scope of protection of the present application. Therefore, the protection scope of the present patent shall be subject to the appended claims.
