Background

Instrument boxes typically include components such as a housing, panels, liners, brackets, and the like. The method is widely applied to industries such as instruments, electronics, communication, automation, sensors, intelligent cards, industrial control, precision machinery and the like, and mainly plays a role in protecting elements.

The existing instrument box generally carries out passive heat dissipation by arranging heat dissipation holes on the surface of the box body, and the heat dissipation efficiency is not high.

In the application fields of hydraulic engineering and the like, the instrument box is in an environment with high air humidity for a long time, and the following adverse effects exist:

1) the effect of humidity on the dielectric strength; the humidity is higher, the insulation strength of the electrical equipment is reduced, moisture in the air is attached to the surface of the insulation material, the insulation resistance of the electrical equipment is reduced, the leakage current of the equipment is greatly increased, insulation breakdown is caused, and electrical faults are generated.

2) The effect of humidity on mold growth; the moist air facilitates germination and growth of mold spores. Practice shows that the condition is good climate condition for mold propagation when the temperature is 25-30 ℃ and the relative humidity is 75-95 ℃. If the air is not convective, the growth of the mold is accelerated rapidly. Therefore, under the condition of the same humidity and the same air temperature, the indoor equipment grows mildews more seriously than the outdoor equipment. The organic fiber products, leather, bakelite products and other mildews contained in the electrical products are the most serious. The material itself or the surface has dirt, which provides the necessary nutrients for the growth of the mold. After the mould is formed, a large amount of water is contained in mould cells, and when hyphae are distributed on the surface of an insulator in a net shape, the insulating property of the product is greatly reduced, and the appearance and the mark of equipment are influenced. During the metabolism of the mold, acidic substances are often secreted. A tarnish film is created between the conductive metal and the electrical contact material resulting in an increase in contact resistance. Especially for printed circuit boards of electronic instruments, if the printed circuit boards are in such an environment for a long time, the circuits are corroded, the accuracy of the instruments is reduced, or equipment failure is caused, and even the instruments are burnt.

3) The effect of humidity on metal corrosion; after the conductive metal and the magnetic conductive silicon steel sheet in the electrical equipment are corroded, the performance and the service life of the equipment are seriously reduced. When the relative humidity reaches a certain value, the corrosion of the metal is suddenly accelerated. This humidity is known as the critical humidity in engineering terms. For example, critical humidity of steel is 70%, iron 63% and copper 60%. Corrosion causes the metal to lose its intended properties. The change in the properties of steel caused by corrosion is commonly referred to as "rusting".

Therefore, it is necessary to consider both the heat dissipation and the dehumidification of the instrument box.

The instrument box can reduce the air humidity in the box body while ensuring the heat dissipation performance, and prevent the adverse effect on the electrical equipment in the instrument box caused by overhigh air humidity.
