The invention is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying examples.

As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the push-pull locking mechanism of the garden umbrella comprises a support rod 1, a fastening member 5 sleeved on the support rod 1, and a holding mechanism capable of sliding up and down along the support rod 1 and locking with the fastening member 5, wherein the holding mechanism comprises a housing and a handle 4, the housing comprises a lower housing 2 and an upper housing 3 which are matched with each other, the housing is fixed at the top end of the handle 4, the handle 4 comprises a cylindrical body 41 and a notch 411 arranged at the top end of the cylindrical body 41, the notch 411 is in a horn shape with a large outside and a small inside, and a concave part 412 is arranged at the edge of the notch 411.
