3. The novel carbon composite material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the electrically calcined anthracite has a particle size of 2-10 mm.

4. The novel carbon composite material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the particle size of the calcined petroleum coke is 1-5 mm.

5. The novel carbon composite material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the particle size of the artificial graphite is 50-100 μm.

6. The novel carbon composite according to claim 1, wherein the tin oxide has a particle size of 20 to 50 μm.

Technical Field

The invention relates to the technical field of conductive materials, in particular to a novel carbon composite material and a preparation method of electrode paste.

Background

The electrode paste is a conductive material used for electric furnace equipment such as large closed and open ferroalloy furnaces, calcium carbide furnaces, ferrosilicon furnaces, ferronickel furnaces and the like. The electrode paste is also called self-baking electrode, which is baked by the heat in the ore furnace, therefore, the matching of the consumption rate of the electrode and the baking rate is one of the keys of the use of the electrode paste. The traditional electrode paste is produced by taking steam, heat conduction oil or coal as a heat transfer source (the heating temperature is generally 120-140 ℃), taking calcined anthracite, calcined petroleum coke, metallurgical coke, artificial graphite fragments and the like as aggregates, crushing, grinding, screening and batching, taking coal pitch and coal tar as binders, kneading and profiling.

In a large ore-smelting furnace, the current density of the conductive electrode is high, and the melt scouring force is high, so that the electrode paste is required to have a low resistance coefficient to reduce the loss of electric energy; the volume density is higher, so that the porosity is reduced, and the oxidation resistance of the electrode is improved; has higher mechanical strength, so that the electrode can not be broken or chipped due to the influence of mechanical and electrical loads.

At present, the problems of high ash content, high resistivity and low compressive strength of electrode paste products in the market generally exist, the product quality is unstable, soft breaking or hard breaking and other accidents are easy to happen in the using process, and the electrode paste consumption and the power consumption of unit products are very high. In order to enhance the stability and the use effect of the product, the production of the electrode paste needs to be further optimized.

In view of the above, there is a need to provide a new material to solve the above technical problems.

Disclosure of Invention

The invention aims to provide a novel carbon composite material with low ash content, low resistivity, high volume density and high compressive strength.

The electrode paste product is not required to be heated in the kneading and stirring process, no asphalt smoke is discharged, the working environment is improved, and the production energy consumption is reduced.

In the invention, the main components of the aggregate of the electrode paste are electrically calcined anthracite, calcined petroleum coke and artificial graphite.

The electrically calcined anthracite is produced by selecting high-quality anthracite and calcining the anthracite at 2000 ℃ through a unidirectional alternating current calcining furnace, and can effectively remove moisture and volatile matters, improve the true density and the conductivity, and enhance the mechanical strength and the oxidation resistance in the production process.

The calcined petroleum coke is obtained by calcining raw coke at a high temperature of about 1300 ℃, so that volatile substances are removed as much as possible, and volume shrinkage is reduced, thereby improving the high-temperature strength and the conductivity of the electrode.

The artificial graphite is a graphite material obtained by carbonizing organic matters such as petroleum coke, pitch coke and the like and then performing high-temperature treatment at the temperature of more than 2800 ℃, and has the characteristics of low ash content and good electrical conductivity.

In the invention, the binder coal pitch is modified coal pitch by SBS, nano inorganic filler and sulfur cross-linking agent, the modified coal pitch improves the stability and coking value of the coal pitch, and the mechanical strength, conductivity and oxidation resistance of the product are improved when the modified coal pitch is applied to electrode paste.

And the tin oxide is doped in the composite material, so that the conductivity and the oxidation resistance of the electrode paste can be improved.

Example 1

A novel carbon composite material comprises the following components in parts by weight:

32 parts of electrically calcined anthracite, 30 parts of calcined petroleum coke, 12 parts of artificial graphite, 23 parts of modified coal pitch and 3 parts of tin oxide; the preparation process of the modified coal pitch comprises the following steps:

step S1, mixing coal tar pitch, SBS modifier, sulfur cross-linking agent and modified additive according to the mass ratio of 30: 10: 5: 1.5, wherein the modified additive comprises nano calcium carbonate and nano silicon dioxide, and the mass ratio of the nano calcium carbonate to the nano silicon dioxide is 1: 2;

wherein the particle size of the nano calcium carbonate is 30-80nm, and the particle size of the nano silicon dioxide is 20-50 nm;

step S2, adding the mixture obtained in the step S1 into a shear mixer, and stirring and reacting for 50-60min at the temperature of 150-160 ℃ to prepare modified coal pitch; wherein the shear rate is 4500-;

and step S3, crushing the modified coal asphalt prepared in the step S2 to be less than 0.5 mm.

The modified coal pitch of this example had a softening point of 102 ℃.

35 parts of electrically calcined anthracite, 25 parts of calcined petroleum coke, 15 parts of artificial graphite, 20 parts of modified coal pitch and 5 parts of tin oxide; the preparation process of the modified coal pitch comprises the following steps:

step S1, mixing coal tar pitch, SBS modifier, sulfur cross-linking agent and modified additive according to the mass ratio of 35: 15: 5: 1.5, wherein the modified additive comprises nano calcium carbonate and nano silicon dioxide, and the mass ratio of the nano calcium carbonate to the nano silicon dioxide is 1: 2;

wherein the particle size of the nano calcium carbonate is 30-80nm, and the particle size of the nano silicon dioxide is 20-50 nm;

step S2, adding the mixture obtained in the step S1 into a shear mixer, and stirring and reacting for 50-60min at the temperature of 150-160 ℃ to prepare modified coal pitch; wherein the shear rate is 4500-;

34 parts of electrically calcined anthracite, 28 parts of calcined petroleum coke, 10 parts of artificial graphite, 24 parts of modified coal pitch and 4 parts of tin oxide; the preparation process of the modified coal pitch comprises the following steps:

step S1, mixing coal tar pitch, SBS modifier, sulfur cross-linking agent and modified additive according to the mass ratio of 32: 12: 6: 1.5, wherein the modified additive comprises nano calcium carbonate and nano silicon dioxide, and the mass ratio of the nano calcium carbonate to the nano silicon dioxide is 1: 2;

wherein the particle size of the nano calcium carbonate is 30-80nm, and the particle size of the nano silicon dioxide is 20-50 nm;

step S2, adding the mixture obtained in the step S1 into a shear mixer, and stirring and reacting for 50-60min at the temperature of 150-160 ℃ to prepare modified coal pitch; wherein the shear rate is 4500-;

and step S3, crushing the modified coal asphalt prepared in the step S2 to be less than 0.5 mm.

The modified coal pitch of this example had a softening point of 104 ℃.

Other conditions of this example were the same as in example 1.

The electrode pastes prepared in examples 1 to 3 were subjected to performance tests, the test results being shown in table 1:

The data show that the electrode paste prepared from the carbon composite material has the advantages of low ash content, low resistivity, high volume density, high compressive strength and the like, and the conductivity and the oxidation resistance of the electrode paste are improved.
