1. Vehicle glazing comprising at least a glass substrate (1) having elemental silver (2) applied thereon in a discontinuous fashion as one or more threads, wherein the elemental silver has a coating (4) comprising a thiol and/or a silicone resin and/or a silicate.

2. The vehicle glazing of claim 1 in the form of a rear glazing.

3. Vehicle glazing according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the silver (2) is applied as a plurality of wires, the wires being interconnected at their ends.

4. The vehicle glazing of claim 3, wherein the plurality of wires form part of a heating system.

5. Vehicle glazing according to claim 1 or 2, wherein elemental silver applied as one or more wires forms one or more conductor strips of at least one sensor or at least one antenna.

6. Vehicle glazing according to at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the coating (4) comprises a thiol, in particular an aliphatic C12 to C20 thiol.

7. Vehicle glazing according to at least one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the coating (4) comprises a silicone resin, in particular an alkylated silicone resin.

8. Vehicle glazing according to claim 7, wherein the coating (4) additionally comprises one or more of a zinc salt, a zinc complex, a zirconium salt and a zirconium complex.

9. Vehicle glazing according to at least one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the coating (4) comprises, preferably consists of, a silicate.

10. Vehicle glazing according to at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the glass substrate (1) is a heat-treated glass, preferably a tempered glass.

11. Vehicle glazing according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the coating (4) is applied only on elemental silver.

12. Vehicle glazing according to any of claims 1 to 10, wherein the coating (4) is applied to substantially the entire face of the vehicle glazing.

13. Method for manufacturing a vehicle glazing according to any of claims 1 to 12, comprising at least

-providing a glass substrate (1) having applied thereon a system formed from one or more filaments comprising elemental silver (2),

-applying a coating (4) comprising mercaptans and/or silicone resins and/or silicates onto the one or more filaments, and

-optionally curing the coating (4).

14. Use of a composition comprising a thiol and/or silicone resin for the manufacture of a vehicle glazing comprising a system formed from one or more filaments comprising elemental silver (2), wherein the composition is applied to the filaments as a coating (4), in particular as a coating preventing discolouration.

15. Use of a composition comprising a silicate precursor for the manufacture of a vehicle glass pane comprising a system formed from one or more filaments comprising elemental silver (2), wherein a silicate is formed from the composition by combustion, the silicate being applied to the filaments as a coating (4).

The embodiments of the invention as a whole are not limited to the aspects highlighted above and to the embodiments described above, but are also feasible in a large number of variants, also within the scope of the appended claims.
