Technical Field

The invention relates to a pencil sharpener, in particular to a pencil sharpener capable of prompting sharpening.

Background

Generally, after a pencil is used for a period of time, a pen point of the pencil becomes blunt and short, and the pen point needs to be shaved by a sharpener so that a refill inside the pencil is exposed and sharpened, thereby facilitating subsequent writing or drawing by a user.

Referring to fig. 12, a pencil sharpener 80 with a sharpening prompting device comprises a housing 81, a prompting button 82 and a pushing block 83, wherein the housing 81 is provided with an accommodating groove 811, a pencil sharpener 812 and a slide 813, wherein the accommodating groove 811 is formed by the surface of the housing 81 being recessed; the pencil sharpener 812 is disposed inside the housing 81 and spaced apart from the accommodating groove 811, a blade 814 is disposed on one of the bevel edges of the pencil sharpener 812, and a pencil 90 is inserted into the pencil sharpener 812 and sharpened in the pencil sharpener 812 by the blade 814; the slide 813 is embedded in the bottom of the pencil sharpener 812, extends along the direction of the blade 814, and communicates the pencil sharpener 812 and the receiving groove 811.

The indication button 82 is movably disposed in the accommodation groove 811, the indication button 82 is disposed with a compression spring 821 and a fastening arm 822, the compression spring 821 is disposed between the indication button 82 and the accommodation groove 811, the fastening arm 822 is disposed at a side close to the slide rail 813, and the indication button 82 can be pressed to fasten the fastening arm 822 in the accommodation groove 811; the pushing block 83 is slidably disposed in the sliding way 813. In operation, a user first presses the indication button 82 to position the latch arm 822 at a latching position as shown in fig. 12 and to make the compression spring 821 in a compressed state, when the pencil 90 is sharpened to a predetermined sharpness, the pen point 91 pushes the push block 83, so that the push block 83 slides in the slide way 813 towards the latch arm 822, and finally pushes the latch arm 822 to disengage the latch arm 822 from the latching position, so that the indication button 82 is ejected by the restoring force of the compression spring 821 to indicate to the user that the pencil 90 has been sharpened.

However, the conventional pencil sharpener 80 has the following disadvantages:

1. during the sliding process of the pushing block 83, a friction force is generated between the pushing block 83 and the inner sidewall of the sliding rail 813, which hinders the pushing block 83 from pushing the smooth degree of the movement of the latch arm 822, and causes a resistance to the forward movement of the pen point 91.

2. As shown in fig. 12, since the push block 83 slides along the direction of the extension of the oblique side of the pencil sharpener 812, the pencil 90 is inserted along the central axis a of the pencil sharpener 812, so that the propelling direction of the pencil 90 is not coaxial with the sliding direction of the push block 83 and forms an angle θ (90 ° < θ <180 °), and therefore, when the pencil 90 pushes the pushing block 83, as shown in fig. 13, a component parallel to the sliding direction and a component perpendicular to the sliding direction are generated, which on one hand reduces the force pushing the pushing block 83 (only the component parallel to the sliding direction has the force pushing the pushing block 83), and on the other hand, the component perpendicular to the sliding direction provides a positive force of the pushing block 83 acting on the sliding way 813, further, the friction force acting on the push block 83 by the inner side wall of the slide 813 is increased, so that the friction condition is more serious.

The resistance causes the user to push the pencil 90 with a greater force to trigger the prompt button 82 to disengage from the snap position to generate the bounce prompt effect, however, the pen point 91 is easily broken or damaged, which causes the user to continue sharpening the pencil, resulting in poor sharpening prompt function and excessive sharpening of the pencil 90, and in conclusion, the conventional pencil sharpener 80 has a certain place to be improved.

As shown in fig. 4, 7, 8 and 10, the trigger 40 can be swingably disposed between the narrow portion of the tapered slot 31 of the pencil sharpener 30 and the elastic arm 21 of the indication button 20, the trigger 40 has an abutting surface 401, a pivoting portion 41 and an actuating portion 42, the abutting surface 401 is disposed at a position of the trigger 40 facing the narrow portion of the tapered slot 31, the pivoting portion 41 is pivotally connected to the pencil sharpener 30 or the base 10, and the actuating portion 42 is abutted against the elastic arm 21 of the indication button 20, so that when one end of the pencil 90 is sharpened in the tapered slot 31, the abutting surface 401 can be abutted to swing the trigger 40, thereby pushing the elastic arm 21 to disengage from the fastening structure 12, and triggering the actuating unit 201 to move, so as to disengage the indication button 20 from the locking position; preferably, the abutting surface 401 is perpendicular to the central axis a', so that the pushing force provided by the pencil 90 can be vertically and completely applied to the abutting surface 401 of the triggering member 40, and further the pushing force of the pencil 90 can be completely utilized, so that the triggering member 40 can generate the best swinging effect.

Further, as shown in fig. 4, fig. 7 and fig. 8, in the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, the body 34 of the tool holder 32 is provided with a pivot unit, preferably, the pivot unit is a pivot 321, and the pivot portion 41 of the trigger 40 has a claw portion, so that the claw portion of the pivot portion 41 of the trigger 40 is sleeved on the pivot 321 of the body 34, and further the trigger 40 can swing relative to the pivot 321, the actuating portion 42 is connected to the pivot portion 41 and extends from one end of the pivot portion 41 away from the pivot 321, in the preferred embodiment, the pivot portion 41 and the actuating portion 42 are both arm-shaped and perpendicular to each other to form an L shape, and the actuating portion 42 abuts against the elastic arm 21 of the indication button 20.

In addition, the body 34 and the blade seat 35 of the tool holder 32 can also be integrally formed as shown in fig. 3A, and the tool holder 32 is provided with a pivot seat 36, the pivot seat 36 is connected to the integrally formed member, the pivot seat 36 is provided with a pivot 361, so that the trigger 40 is pivotally connected to the pivot seat 36 and can swing relative to the pivot 361. The triggering member 40 can be movably pivoted to the tool holder 32 by other means, for example, the pivoting portion 41 of the triggering member 40 forms a closed hole, and two sides of the tool holder 32 corresponding to the closed hole respectively form a pin, so that the triggering member 40 is pivoted to the tool holder 32 by the two pins to rotate relative to the tool holder 32.

When the user rotates the pencil 90 to sharpen the pencil 90 to a predetermined sharpness by planing the blade 33, the tip of the pencil 90 reaches the position of the sharpening presetting point 311 and pushes against the trigger 40, so that the trigger 40 swings relative to the pivot 321 and further pushes against the elastic arm 21, so that the elastic arm 21 deforms toward the bottom of the base 10 as shown in fig. 7, at this time, the fastening hole 211 is separated from the fastening structure 12 of the base 10, the prompt button 20 is popped out along the accommodating groove 11 under the action of the actuating unit 201, and the user can know that the pencil 90 has been sharpened and can stop planing.

Preferably, as shown in fig. 4, 4A and 4B, when the trigger 40 swings, the shaved pen dust may fall into the open space formed between the tool holder 32 and the trigger 40 after swinging, therefore, a blocking piece 324 is disposed at the bottom of the tool holder 32, the blocking piece 324 extends towards the trigger 40 and exceeds the abutting surface 401, and the length L1 of the blocking piece 324 extending beyond the abutting surface 401 is greater than or equal to the length L2 of the overlapping of the locking protrusion 121 and the locking hole 35211 (i.e. L1 is greater than or equal to L2), so that during the swinging of the trigger 40, the blocking piece 324 can provide a stopping function to prevent the pen dust from falling into the open space formed between the tool holder 32 and the trigger 40 after swinging.

Further, in the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, the elastic arm 21 is provided with a positioning shoulder 212, and when the indication button 20 is popped out, the positioning shoulder 212 abuts against the fastening structure 12 of the base 10, so as to prevent the indication button 20 from falling off from the accommodating groove 11.

After the user draws out the pencil 90, since the elastic arm 21 has elasticity and loses the force pushed downward, it will return to the initial state and position shown in fig. 8, and push the trigger 40 back toward the tapered slot 31, so as to be convenient for the user to use again; preferably, in order to avoid the problem that the unlocking sensitivity between the elastic arm 21 and the latch structure 12 is too high, i.e. to avoid the problem that the indication button 20 is ejected when the trigger 40 is touched by mistake or the pencil sharpener is shaken, but is not ejected and pointed after the pencil 90 is sharpened, thereby causing an error indication, as shown in fig. 9, in the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, the distance between the position where the actuating portion 42 of the trigger 40 abuts against the elastic arm 21 and the fulcrum F is greater than the distance between the abutting position of the latch protrusion 121 and the latch hole 211 and the fulcrum F, so that the trigger 40 pushes the displacement stroke L3 of the elastic arm 21 downwards by shaking, which is greater than the overlapping length L2 of the latch protrusion 121 and the latch hole 211 (i.e. L3> L2), so as to enable the latch hole 211 to move downwards by the overlapping length L2 and disengage from the latch protrusion 121, therefore, the displacement stroke of the trigger 40 perpendicular to the elastic arm 21 is greater than the trip unlocking stroke of the elastic arm 21, so that the unlocking sensitivity is prevented from being too high, and the effect of more accurately unlocking is achieved.

Still further, as shown in fig. 7, in the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, a side of the trigger 40 away from the pivot 321 may be provided with a limit flange 402 facing the blade 33, and after the trigger 40 swings, the limit flange 402 will abut against the blade 33 as shown in fig. 7; the limiting flange 402 provides a limiting effect on the swinging of the trigger 40, thereby preventing the trigger 40 from swinging excessively, which may result in failure to reset or breakage of the stress concentration portion of the component.

In the above operation process, since the trigger 40 is not in contact with the components other than the elastic arm 21 except the pivot joint during the swinging process, and the propelling force of the pencil 90 can be directly transmitted to cause the swinging of the trigger 40, the problems of conventional friction and ineffective component force can be solved, so that compared with the prior art, the present invention has the effect of more labor saving and more accurate trigger prompt during the use process.

Further describing the length ratio of the pivot portion 41 and the actuating portion 42 of the trigger 40, as shown in fig. 8 and 10, the shape of the trigger 40 is L-shaped, wherein the pivot axis of the trigger 40 is defined as a point B, the connecting point of the pivot portion 41 and the actuating portion 42 is defined as a point C, and one end of the actuating portion 42 abutting against the elastic arm 21 is defined as a point D, wherein a connecting line of B, C two points forms a horizontal segment BC, a connecting line of C and D two points forms a vertical segment CD, the central axis a ' of the tapered slot 31 passes through a connecting line of C, D two points, such that a connecting line of B, C, D three points can be regarded as a right triangle, i.e. the pivot portion 41 has a length extending from the point B to the central axis a ', the length is a horizontal segment BC, the actuating portion 42 has a length extending along the central axis a ', the length is a vertical segment CD, the lengths of the horizontal section BC and the vertical section CD are preferably between 1mm and 50mm respectively (namely BC is more than or equal to 1mm and less than or equal to 50mm, CD is more than or equal to 1mm and less than or equal to 50 mm); further, in the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, when the horizontal segment BC is between 3.5mm and 7.5mm and the vertical segment CD is between 4mm and 14mm (i.e. 3.5mm ≦ BC ≦ 7.5mm, 4mm ≦ CD ≦ 14mm), the triggering member 40 has a better effect of triggering the prompt, for example, the length of the horizontal segment BC is 5.5 mm and the length of the vertical segment CD is 9 mm. The position of the abutting surface 401 is adjusted according to the preset sharpening point 311, and may fall at the point C, or be higher or lower than the point C.

As shown in fig. 10A and 10B, when the length of the vertical section CD is fixed and the swing amplitude of the elastic arm 21 sufficient for unlocking is not changed, in other words, the downward vertical displacement of the point D is equal, the influence of the change in length of the horizontal section BC on the unlocking triggering is compared, as shown in fig. 10A, when the length of the horizontal section BC is too short, the triggering member 40 must swing with a large amplitude to enable the elastic arm 21 to generate the swing amplitude sufficient for unlocking, the horizontal stroke of the point D is too large, and when the horizontal stroke of the point D is too large, the actuating portion 42 of the triggering member 40 is difficult to push against the central region of the elastic arm 21, and therefore, the length of the horizontal section BC is too short, which easily causes the prompt button 20 to be unlocked and fail; on the other hand, as shown in fig. 10B, when the length of the horizontal segment BC is too long, under the condition that the trigger 40 swings at a small angle, the swing amplitude of the elastic arm 21 reaches the downward vertical displacement of the point D sufficient for releasing and unlocking, so that the prompt button 20 is too sensitive, and the prompt button 20 may jump out by slightly shaking the base 10 during the use of the pencil sharpener, which does not meet the use requirement of sharpening prompt.

Referring to fig. 10C and 10D, under the condition that the length of the horizontal segment BC is fixed and the swing amplitude of the elastic arm 21 sufficient for releasing and unlocking is kept unchanged, the influence of the length change of the vertical segment CD on the use is compared, wherein the swing angle of the trigger 40 in fig. 10C is smaller than that in fig. 10D, as shown in fig. 10C, when the length of the vertical segment CD is too short, the trigger 40 swings at a small angle and unlocks, so that the cueing button 20 is too sensitive; as shown in fig. 10D, when the length of the vertical segment CD is too long, the horizontal stroke of the point D is too large, similar to the situation of fig. 10A, the point D cannot be pushed against the central area of the elastic arm 21, the pushing effect is not good, and the prompt button 20 is easily unlocked and fails.

Fig. 11 is a second preferred embodiment of the present invention, which is similar to the first preferred embodiment in structure, and the main difference is: the inner wall of the base 10 is convexly provided with a pivot unit 101, the pivot unit 101 is formed inside the base 102 at a side away from the accommodating groove 11, a through hole 321A is formed through a side of the body 34 of the tool holder 32 away from the blade 33, one end of the pivot portion 41 of the trigger 40 passes through the through hole 321A from inside to outside and is pivoted with the pivot unit 101 of the base 10 to enable the trigger 40 to swing relative to the pivot unit 101 of the base 10, the pivot portion 41 of the trigger 40 and the actuating portion 42 are L-shaped, and a movement manner of the trigger 40 to trigger the prompt button 20 is similar to that of the first preferred embodiment, which is not described herein again.

Through the technical characteristics, when the pencil sharpener of the present invention is used, in the process of swinging the trigger 40, the friction force which can obstruct the propelling of the pencil 90 can not be generated due to the contact with the slide 813 as in the existing sliding sharpening prompting structure, and the thrust provided by the pencil 90 can be directly transmitted to cause the swinging of the trigger 40, so as to avoid invalid component force, in addition, the thrust of the pencil 90 can be fully utilized, so that a user does not need to strongly push the pencil 90, thereby not easily causing the problem of the breakage of the sharpened pen point in the pushing process, and effectively avoiding excessive sharpening.

Although the present invention has been described with reference to a preferred embodiment, it should be understood that various changes, substitutions and alterations can be made herein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
