Background

The lightning arrester with the series gap is installed on the overhead distribution line, so that overvoltage can be effectively released and the insulator is protected from being burnt by discharge arcs when the line is struck by lightning. The common lightning arrester with the series gap can effectively absorb overvoltage on a line, break down an air gap and guide the overvoltage into the ground. However, the arc extinguishing device does not have active arc extinguishing capability, cannot automatically extinguish power-frequency follow current electric arc caused by breakdown of air gap, and can obtain better lightning protection effect only by being matched with an automatic reclosing device. However, the arc extinguishing time on the series gap is long due to the need of waiting for the action of the circuit breaker, and the hardware can be burnt by the arc when the overvoltage on the line is discharged to the ground every time, and even the wire can be burnt when the condition is serious.

The principles and features of this invention are described below in conjunction with examples which are set forth to illustrate, but are not to be construed to limit the scope of the invention.

As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the present invention relates to a lightning arrester, which comprises a main body 1 and a connecting assembly 2, wherein the main body 1 is fixedly connected with the connecting assembly 2, the main body 1 comprises steel electrodes 5 and discharge chambers 3, the steel electrodes 5 and the discharge chambers 3 are arranged at intervals, the connecting assembly 2 comprises long clamping pieces 8 and short clamping pieces 7, and the long clamping pieces 8 and the short clamping pieces 7 are connected through bolts. The body 1 further comprises a support 4, which support 4 is located at the bottom end of the steel electrode 5 and the discharge vessel 3. The main body 1 further comprises a silicon rubber shell, and the silicon rubber shell is coated on the peripheries of the steel electrode 5, the discharge chamber 3 and the support 4. The body 1 further comprises an end electrode 6 at the end of the support 4. The surface of the discharge chamber 3 is provided with gas injection holes which are uniformly distributed on the outer surface of the main body 1.

The one end of silicon rubber shell is termination electrode 6, and the other end is coupling assembling 2, and coupling assembling 2 includes long clamping piece 8 and short clamping piece 7, and long clamping piece 8 passes through bolted connection with short clamping piece 7, has certain radian in the centre of two clamping pieces, and perhaps can a clamping piece have the radian, and another clamping piece does not have the radian, and the length of two clamping pieces can be inconsistent, also can be unanimous, which specific length is short, and is relevant with the circuit shape of being connected. The long clip 8 and the short clip 7 function as a clip. When the clamped line is subjected to lightning strike and the like, current flows into the main body 1 along the clamping pieces and then sequentially passes through the steel electrode 5 and the discharge chamber 3, the steel electrode 5 plays a role in transmitting the current, the discharge chamber 3 plays a role in releasing electric energy, redundant energy is sprayed out through the air injection holes, and the function of releasing overvoltage is achieved.

The connecting assembly 2 and the main body 1 are fixed by bolts. The transmission medium is metal and plays a role in transmission.
