Detailed Description

In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is further described in detail with reference to specific embodiments.

The method for testing the PING current comprises the following steps:

the method comprises the following steps of calculating the average value of currents with the current value larger than a threshold value in the currents output by a circuit to be tested so as to obtain the average current value of the PING current output by the circuit to be tested, wherein the threshold value is equal to n times of the average value of the currents output by the circuit to be tested, and n is a system preset value:

(0.1) providing stable voltage for the circuit to be tested;

(1) measuring the current output by the circuit to be measured;

(1.1) continuously reading the current output by the circuit to be tested within a preset time period;

(2) calculating the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested, multiplying the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested by a system preset value n, and determining the threshold value;

(2.1) comparing the current output by the circuit to be tested with the threshold value to obtain the current of which the current value is greater than the threshold value in the current output by the circuit to be tested;

(3) and calculating the average value of the currents with the current values larger than the threshold value in the currents output by the circuit to be tested to obtain the average current value of the PING current output by the circuit to be tested.

In the testing process, the system preset value n is generally selected to be 1.5 to 5, that is, the threshold value is generally selected to be 1.5 times to 5 times of the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested, and preferably 2 times of the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested.

In one embodiment, a circuit for implementing the method is provided, and the circuit for testing the PING current comprises a main control module, a power supply, a measuring module and a circuit to be tested;

the main control module controls the power supply and the measuring module to supply power to the circuit to be tested, and the main control module obtains the current output by the circuit to be tested through the power supply and the measuring module and obtains the average current value of the PING current output by the circuit to be tested through analyzing the current output by the circuit to be tested.

The power supply and measurement module can be composed of a power supply unit and a measurement unit (the measurement unit can be formed by a current acquisition card in the prior art), or a programmable power supply with a data reading function can be selected to form the power supply and measurement module.

If the power supply and the measuring module formed by the power supply unit and the measuring unit are selected, the main control module controls the power supply unit to supply power to the circuit to be measured, and the main control module obtains the current output by the circuit to be measured through the measuring unit.

When the selected programmable power supply does not have the data reading function, the current output by the circuit to be tested can be tested by adopting a measuring unit consisting of a current acquisition card, the current information output by the circuit to be tested is reflected to the main control module in real time, and the main control module carries out final processing on the current information so as to obtain the average current value of the PING current.

In this embodiment, a programmable power supply with a data reading function is selected to form the power supply and the measurement module.

The programmable power supply is used for providing specified direct current voltage (for example, 5V voltage) for the circuit to be tested under the control of the upper computer and feeding back current information output by the current circuit to be tested.

The programmable power supply with data reading function in the prior art can display the currently output voltage and current information, that is, the voltage and current information provided to the circuit to be tested, on its operation interface (since the programmable power supply is connected in series with the circuit to be tested, the current information displayed on the programmable power supply is the current information output by the circuit to be tested). The tester can see the corresponding information in the display module of the programmable power supply. This is a common function of most programmable power supplies. The programmable power supply provides an interface that can be accessed using an upper computer. The power supply which provides an interface and can read information through an upper computer is used in the embodiment. Such power supplies are also currently common, being on the order of thousands of dollars in price, and are relatively inexpensive and less prone to damage than the tens of thousands of power probes used in advanced oscilloscopes.

In this embodiment, the main control module is composed of an upper computer, and the upper computer may be composed of a general PC or other control device that performs a corresponding control function, and is configured to control the programmable power supply and read information output by the programmable power supply.

The specific circuit diagram can be seen in fig. 1, and the test upper computer in the diagram is the upper computer.

The method for testing the PING current by the circuit for testing the PING current comprises the following steps:

(a1) the main control module controls the power supply and the measuring module to provide stable voltage for the circuit to be measured;

(a2) the power supply and measurement module measures the current output by the circuit to be measured;

(a3) the main control module continuously reads the current output by the circuit to be tested in a preset time period through the power supply and the measuring module;

(a4) the main control module calculates the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested, and multiplies the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested by a system preset value n to determine the threshold value;

(a5) the main control module compares the current output by the circuit to be tested with the threshold value to obtain the current of which the current value is greater than the threshold value in the current output by the circuit to be tested;

(a6) and the main control module calculates the average value of the currents with the current values larger than the threshold value in the currents output by the circuit to be tested to obtain the average current value of the PING current output by the circuit to be tested.

The method for testing the PING current, the corresponding circuit for testing the PING current and the application of the circuit for testing the PING current in the embodiment can also calculate the average value of the PING current under the condition that an oscilloscope and a current probe are not needed, so that the cost can be effectively saved, and the testing efficiency can be improved.

For better understanding, the circuit in the above embodiment is taken as an example, and a specific test example is taken for illustration:

(1) the upper computer controls the programmable power supply to continuously output constant 5V voltage to the circuit to be tested;

(2) the programmable power supply continuously reads the output current of the circuit to be tested and transmits the corresponding test result to the upper computer;

(3) the upper computer selects the current output by the circuit to be tested within a preset time (such as 1 minute) for analysis;

(5) calculating the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested within a preset time (such as 1 minute);

(6) and finding out points with output current being 2 times of the average current value from the current output by the circuit to be tested within a preset time (such as 1 minute), and averaging the current values of the points to obtain the average current value of the PING current output by the circuit to be tested within the preset time (since the amplitude of the PING current is generally stable, the obtained average current value of the PING current can be regarded as the value of the PING current).

In the standby condition of the system, the output current can be referred to as fig. 2, the part with the higher amplitude in fig. 2 shows the current value of the PING current in the current output by the circuit to be tested, and the part with the lower amplitude shows the current value of the current output by the circuit to be tested, which is not the PING current (mainly for representing the presentation form of the PING current in fig. 2, the current value of 3 total currents in the current output by the circuit to be tested is drawn in the figure and is greater than the threshold value, but the actual test condition is not limited to this), as can be seen from fig. 2, the current output in the general condition is maintained at a relatively lower level, and when the PING current occurs, the current is suddenly increased and maintained at an amplitude for a period of time, and the duration is relatively short. The method for testing the PING current, the corresponding circuit for testing the PING current and the application thereof are designed based on characteristics and are used for solving the average value of the PING current output by a system.

In a system, PING current is a relatively large signal, for example, up to several tens of milliamperes, and the average current of the overall output of the circuit is on the order of several milliamperes. According to practice and test comparison, when the threshold value is selected to be 2 times of the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested, the test results obtained in time and amplitude are consistent with the test result obtained by the oscilloscope. If the judgment is performed by using the judgment condition which is only larger than the average current, the judgment result is affected by some glitches, and therefore, in this embodiment, the judgment condition is selected to be 2 times of the average current. Of course, in other embodiments, a judgment condition around 2 times or slightly higher than 2 times may be used as the selection threshold.

The current value of the PING current is a key index for the system, and the data is needed for the system to market and to be certified. Software and hardware personnel can correspondingly optimize the circuit according to the test result of the average value of the PING current, reduce the amplitude of the PING signal under the condition of ensuring the PING signal to be useful so as to reduce the standby power consumption of the system, and meanwhile, in the process of testing a production line, the average value of the PING current can be calculated through the test method and the test circuit in the embodiment so as to judge whether the circuit to be tested meets the standard or not.

Because the power supply is an indispensable device in the process of testing the PING current in the prior art, the testing method and the corresponding circuit in the invention are equivalent to no additional equipment in the testing process, and an oscilloscope and a current probe which are needed in the prior art are not needed, so that the testing cost is effectively saved.

By adopting the method for testing the PING current, the corresponding circuit for testing the PING current and the application thereof, the average value of the current at the point of which the current value is greater than the preset multiple of the average value of the current output by the circuit to be tested in the current output by the circuit to be tested is obtained, so that the average current value of the PING current output by the circuit to be tested is obtained. The testing process does not need a high-grade oscilloscope, the testing can be completed through a simple circuit, the testing cost is effectively saved, meanwhile, the technical requirements on testers do not exist, the whole operation process is very simple and convenient, the average current value of the PING current output by the circuit to be tested can be very easily obtained, the dependence of the testing on the personnel is greatly reduced, and the testing efficiency of the PING current is effectively improved.

In this specification, the invention has been described with reference to specific embodiments thereof. It will, however, be evident that various modifications and changes may be made thereto without departing from the broader spirit and scope of the invention. The specification and drawings are, accordingly, to be regarded in an illustrative rather than a restrictive sense.
