Technical Field

The present invention relates to a sound stick of a stick-type percussion instrument and a connecting member connected thereto.

Background

The sound stick is typically secured to the body of the stick-type percussion instrument with at least one locating pin. For this purpose, the sound rod is perforated at least once in succession, wherein the holes are embodied, for example, as long holes. The associated locating pin typically has three regions: a first connecting area for fastening at the main body of the stick-type percussion instrument, a second connecting area for connecting with a stick, and a third area for adjusting the interval between the first two connecting areas.

In one possible embodiment of the positioning pin, the upper end of the second connecting region projects beyond the upper side of the sound rod and has, for example, a thickened structure which is greater than, for example, the width of the elongated hole. The third region connecting region also has a larger cross section, wherein the cross section is larger than the width of the oblong hole and larger than the receptacle for the first connecting region, for example in the main body of the percussion stick instrument. The third area then also serves as a support for the sound stick.

As an alternative to this, the positioning pin can also be used without the thickened structure of the second connection region. There is always a risk that the stick may come loose from the main body of the stick-type percussion instrument.

In the case of sufficiently elastic material of the positioning pin, the sound rod can be fixed in a pivotable and releasable manner between the thickened structures at the ends of the third region and the second region. A disadvantage of this embodiment is that the thickened structure at the end of the second connecting element is strongly elastically deformed with each replacement of the sound bar. This results in the thickened structure being easily sheared off during multiple replacements and no safe fastening is ensured anymore or the connecting element has to be replaced. This is particularly disadvantageous in connection with a plurality of connecting elements connected in a chain. If rigid materials are used for the positioning pins, there is always the risk of these pins breaking or breaking.

In the known construction, when there are a plurality of rods in a rod percussion instrument, an undesired level difference of the playing surface is avoided by using the same rod profile for all pitches. The pitch is then determined by the shape of the tuning bow (stilmbogen) of the rod. A compromise between pitch and contour of the sound bar must be reached. As an alternative to this, the surface of the stick-type percussion instrument may be adapted according to the stick profile of the stick. But this has a negative impact on the manufacturing costs. Here, the substitution of the chromatic baton for the chromatic baton can be realized only by the difference in height of the playing surface.

Disclosure of Invention

The object of the invention is to further develop a sound rod and a fastening element connected thereto in such a way that a secure fastening is ensured even when the sound rod is exchanged several times.

This object is achieved according to claim 1 by a sound rod according to the invention and a connecting element connected thereto. The sound stick has at least one first recess for receiving at least one first connection region of the associated connecting element on the underside of the sound stick. This embodiment of the sound rod enables the inventive fastening to the associated connecting element according to the invention.

An advantageous embodiment according to claim 2 is that the first recess of the sound rod does not penetrate the upper side of the sound rod. This reduces the manufacturing cost of the stick and improves the design quality of the instrument.

Furthermore, it is advantageous according to claim 3 if the first recess is a blind drilled hole. This has the advantage that the drilled hole can be made more simply and more cost-effectively than other geometries, such as a milled long hole or a first recess, when the sound bar material is a normal material, such as wood or metal.

As set forth in claim 4, it is preferred that the recess has a thread. This can be combined with complementary threads on the surface of the associated connecting element to produce a releasable and secure fastening. Even when the sound rod is replaced several times, the risk of the first connection region breaking apart due to the significantly reduced elastic deformation in the case of a favorable screw connection compared to the elastic deformation of the positioning pin during the replacement of the sound rod is minimized.

Furthermore, according to claims 5 and 6, it is advantageous if the first recess is surrounded by a second recess having a larger cross-section than the first recess, and the second recess, with reference to the underside of the sound stick, has a smaller depth than the first recess. This makes it possible, for example, to achieve a cross-sectional change of the connecting element which limits the penetration depth of the connecting element without this region of the cross-sectional change protruding beyond the underside of the sound stick. A circular embodiment is also preferred because it is simpler and less expensive to manufacture than other possible geometries, given the material of the rod.

A connecting element for releasably connecting a sound rod according to claim 7, characterized in that the second connecting region of the connecting element is releasably connectable to the projection of the receiving portion, the first connecting region of the connecting element is releasably connectable to the sound rod and the connection between the sound rod and the connecting element is stronger than the connection between the connecting element and the projection of the receiving portion. This advantageous configuration ensures that the properties of the fastening of the rod to the body of the percussion stick instrument, such as the holding force, the elasticity, etc., can be adjusted independently of the properties of the rod and the connecting element.

According to the dependent claim 8, it is advantageous if the connecting element and the projection belonging to the receptacle of the connecting element have a cross-sectional narrowing with a passage and if the connecting element is characterized in that the second connecting region of the connecting element has a cross-section which is smaller than or equal to the cross-section of the passage of the projection. The end of the second connection region facing the main body of the percussion stick instrument has a thickened structure which is greater than the cross section of the raised channel and the length of the second connection region is greater than or equal to the length of the raised cross-sectional narrowing of the receiving portion. It is advantageous here if the sound rod can be placed movably on the holder of the holder and if the connecting element is not mechanically stressed.

According to the dependent claim 9, the second connection region of the connection element is made of a material which is less elastic than the projection of the receiving portion. The elastic deformation required when releasing and fixing the sound stick is therefore not provided by the second connecting element but by the projection of the receiving portion. It is advantageous here that the durability is higher because the projection of the receptacle has a larger material cross section than the connecting element.

Further advantageous embodiments of the first connection region of the connection element are specified in the dependent claims 10 and 11. Depending on the desired properties of the connection between the sound stick and the connection element, it may be advantageous, according to dependent claim 10, to realize a force-fitting connection by means of at least one cut-out on the surface of the first connection region. The number, type and depth of the incisions are additionally adapted in this case, taking into account the mechanical properties of the material of the connecting element and the desired holding force. As an alternative to this, a thread can be applied to this surface in accordance with dependent claim 11. This is particularly advantageous when a complementary thread is introduced into the first recess of the sound stick. This embodiment may be substituted for each other, or part of it, depending on the parameters of economic operation.

According to the dependent claim 13, the first connection region advantageously has a circular cross section with different diameters. The connecting element can thus also be advantageously used in the first recess of the sound stick when the sound stick has different heights or depths. Furthermore, it is also possible to advantageously balance different rod profiles and the height differences associated therewith in the playing surface.

According to claim 14, it is particularly advantageous if at least one connecting element (13) belonging to the sound stick (12) and the sound stick (12) belonging to the connecting element are formed as a hooked component. In this embodiment, it is not necessary to remanufacture the first recess of the sound stick and the first connection region of the associated connection element. Furthermore, by the material-fused connection between the connecting element and the sound rod, it is ensured that the sound rod can always be released from the projection of the receiving portion and that the sound rod is not released from the connecting element. An advantageous moulding process for a sound stick is injection moulding. In this case, the sound rod is no longer designed to be released from the connecting element, but a particularly cost-effective production of the two components is achieved. This embodiment is not possible in a sound stick such as wood, where the forming process cannot be used.

According to the accompanying claim 15, a further aspect of the invention is that the sound stick has at least one connecting element and that the sound stick and the at least one connecting element are shaped as a hanging member. This makes it possible to produce a sound rod that is particularly inexpensive and good.

The percussion stick instrument according to the juxtaposed claims 16 and 17, characterized in that it has at least one rod according to any one of claims 1 to 6, 15 and in that it also has at least one connecting element according to claims 7 to 15.

The invention is described in detail below by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings. In all the figures, identical technical elements are denoted by the same reference numerals.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows a section through a sound rod 12, a connecting element 13 and an associated receptacle 15 with a projection 151. In this case, the receptacle 15 is part of a fastening strap made up of a plurality of interconnected receptacles. The sound stick 12 has a first recess 123 and a second recess 124. The first connection region 131 of the connection element 13 extends in the first recess 123. On the surface of the first connection region 131 there are a plurality of circumferential cutouts. Due to the elastic deformation of the retained piece, the first connection region 131 is held in a force-fitting manner in the first recess.

The cross-sectional enlargement 135 below the incised surface area limits the penetration depth.

The second connection region 124 is inserted in the projection 151 of the receptacle 15 and has a thickening 136 at its lower end. This thickening 136 is larger than the cross-sectional narrowing 152 of the projection 151 of the receptacle 15. By selecting the spacing between the thickened structures 136 at the ends of the first and second connection regions 123, 124 to be sufficiently large, the sound rod 12 sits loosely on the support 153 of the receptacle 15. Furthermore, the cross-section of the second recess 124 is large enough so that the thickening 136 can be pulled out of the protrusion 151 without pressing the protrusion 151 against the inside of the second recess 124.

Fig. 2a shows the underside 122 of the sound stick 12. The sound stick 12 may in this exemplary case be connected at one point with the receptacle 15. At this point, the connecting element 13 can be inserted into the circular first recess 123.

Fig. 2b shows the underside 122 of the sound stick 12, wherein the sound stick 12 and the connecting elements belonging thereto are shaped as one piece.

A stick-type percussion instrument 1 is shown in fig. 3. A plurality of rods 12 having no surface through holes are connected to the main body 11 of the rod-type percussion instrument 1.
