The base paper is usually produced from bleached chemical wood pulp, and then is processed through different procedures, such as coating, printing, embossing or surface plastic coating, and finally is cut and packaged for delivery. The wallpaper has certain strength, toughness, beautiful appearance and good water resistance, and is widely used for indoor decoration of houses, offices, hotels, and the like.

However, there are still many problems in the use of wallpaper, such as: the service life of the wallpaper is short, and the service life of the wallpaper is about 5 to 10 years; the detergent is not dirt-resistant and needs to be scrubbed regularly, but the scrubbing process may wipe off a part of the slurry to cause color loss; the pollution is great, a hydroformylation process and an aldehyde reduction process exist in the pulping process of the wallpaper, so that certain free formaldehyde may exist in the wallpaper, and formaldehyde may also exist in wallpaper glue, so that the air is polluted; the wallpaper is easy to be affected with damp, if the house has high humidity, the wallpaper can be separated from the wall body due to damp, and the wallpaper can be mildewed.

Chinese patent CN107215060A discloses a method for producing wallpaper with biomass material as matrix, which uses ginkgo leaves and ginkgo tree barks as functional additives of the wallpaper, and adds partial calcium chloride when bonding ginkgo tree powder and cedrela sinensis wood fiber, but the wallpaper with biomass material as matrix prepared by the processing method has short service life, is not resistant to scrubbing, is easy to wipe off the functional adsorbent in the scrubbing process, and can also produce fading.
