1. A physique estimation device characterized in that,

the physique estimation device is provided with:

a face detection unit that inputs an image obtained by imaging a vehicle interior and detects face information of a passenger from the input image; and

and a physique estimation unit that determines a seat on which the passenger sits based on the face information detected by the face detection unit, calculates a sitting height of the passenger using a difference between a reference position for the determined seat and a position of the face, and estimates the physique of the passenger based on the calculated sitting height of the passenger.

2. The physical fitness estimating apparatus according to claim 1,

the physique estimation unit determines a seat in which the passenger sits based on the position of the face of the passenger and the size of the face detected from an image obtained by imaging the interior of the vehicle, and converts the difference between the reference position and the position of the face into the sitting height of the passenger using a conversion value.

3. The physical fitness estimating apparatus according to claim 1 or 2,

the physique estimation device is provided with a child seat detection part which inputs an image obtained by shooting the interior of a vehicle and detects child seat information from the input image,

the physique estimation portion determines the occupant seated in the child seat based on the child seat information detected by the child seat detection portion, and estimates the determined physique of the occupant as a physique classified as a child.

4. The physical fitness estimating apparatus according to claim 1 or 2,

the physique estimation device is provided with a shoulder detection part which inputs an image obtained by shooting the interior of a vehicle and detects the shoulder information of the passenger from the input image,

the physique estimation unit calculates the shoulder width of the passenger based on the shoulder information detected by the shoulder detection unit, and estimates the physique of the passenger based on the calculated shoulder width and seat height of the passenger.

5. The physical fitness estimating apparatus according to claim 4,

the physique estimation unit refers to corresponding data including body measurement data including a sitting height and a shoulder width and a physique of a person, and estimates the physique of the passenger from the shoulder width and the sitting height of the passenger.

6. The physical fitness estimating apparatus according to claim 2,

the physique estimation unit refers to data indicating a position range of a face and a range of sizes of the face corresponding to a slide position or an inclined position of the seat, determines the seat on which the passenger sits based on the face information detected by the face detection unit, and calculates the sitting height of the passenger using the converted value corresponding to the slide position or the inclined position and the reference position.

7. A physique estimation method is characterized in that,

the physique estimation method comprises the following steps:

a face detection unit for inputting an image obtained by imaging the interior of a vehicle and detecting face information of a passenger from the input image; and

the physique estimation unit determines a seat on which the passenger sits based on the face information detected by the face detection unit, calculates the sitting height of the passenger using a difference between a reference position for the determined seat and the position of the face, and estimates the physique of the passenger based on the calculated sitting height of the passenger.

Technical Field

The present invention relates to a physique estimation device and a physique estimation method for estimating the physique of a passenger of a vehicle.

Background

An automobile is equipped with an airbag to prevent or reduce a passenger's injury during an accident. The airbag control device changes the operability of the airbag in accordance with the presence or absence of a passenger at the time of an accident of the automobile, and changes the pressure (deployment and inflation force) at the time of the airbag operation in accordance with the physique of the passenger.

As a conventional technique for estimating the physique of a passenger of an automobile, for example, patent document 1 describes a system for estimating the physique of a passenger based on an image captured by a stereo camera mounted on an automobile.

Disclosure of Invention

Problems to be solved by the invention

The stereo camera is more expensive than the monocular camera, and the amount of calculation required for image processing is also large. Therefore, the system described in patent document 1 has a problem that an expensive and highly computing device is required.

The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a physique estimation device and a physique estimation method capable of estimating the physique of a passenger of a vehicle using an image captured by a monocular camera.

Means for solving the problems

A physique estimation device of the present invention includes a face detection unit and a physique estimation unit. The face detection unit inputs an image obtained by imaging the interior of the vehicle, and detects face information of the passenger from the input image. The physique estimation unit determines a seat in which the passenger sits based on the face information detected by the face detection unit, calculates the sitting height of the passenger using the difference between the reference position for the determined seat and the position of the face, and estimates the physique of the passenger based on the calculated sitting height of the passenger.

ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS OF INVENTION

According to the present invention, the physique estimation device determines the seat where the passenger sits based on the face information of the passenger detected from the image obtained by imaging the vehicle interior, calculates the sitting height of the passenger using the difference between the determined reference position of the seat and the position of the face, and estimates the physique of the passenger based on the sitting height of the passenger.

Since the position of the face may be determined from the face information of the passenger detected from the image, the image of the detection target of the face information may be an image captured by a monocular camera. Thus, the physique estimation device can estimate the physique of the occupant of the vehicle using the image captured by the monocular camera.
