1. The cold heading forming method of the integrated universal joint fork comprises the step of machining the integrated universal joint fork by using a cold heading machine, and is characterized by comprising the following steps of:

The invention relates to a cold heading processing method of a metal part, in particular to a cold heading forming method of an integrated universal joint fork.

Background

The traditional universal joint is processed by mainly adopting the modes of turning, milling, hot forging, casting and the like, so that the loss of metal materials is large, part of processes need to be finished for many times, and the production efficiency is low on the premise of ensuring the precision.

Disclosure of Invention

The invention aims to solve the defects of the prior art and provide the cold heading forming method of the integrated universal joint fork head with small material loss and high production speed.

In order to achieve the purpose, the invention discloses a cold heading forming method of an integrated universal joint fork head, which uses a cold heading machine to process the integrated universal joint fork head, and comprises the following steps:

a. taking materials, namely feeding cylindrical bars into a cold header;

b. performing a fork blank, namely processing a bar into the fork blank, wherein the fork blank comprises a blank section with a rectangular section and the length and width dimensions of the blank section are larger than the diameter of the bar and a shaft section which is still cylindrical;

d. positioning the fork head in a groove shape, namely upsetting and extruding a positioning groove for further processing at the end part of the blank section;

e. and (4) stretching the fork head groove, namely stretching the metal on the two sides of the positioning groove to form the fork head groove, and processing the fork head blank into the universal joint fork head meeting the size requirement.

The method also comprises the following steps: f. and (3) cold upsetting tooth shapes on the shaft sections of the fork head blank so as to process the shaft sections into the external spline shaft.

In order to protect the cold header and reduce the abrasion of the die, before the fork head blank is preformed in the step b, the method further comprises the following steps: g. the end of the cylindrical bar is chamfered.

In order to facilitate positioning and improve the stress of the fork head blank in cold heading, in the step d, in the fork head groove-shaped positioning process, the fork head blank at the bottom of the positioning groove is bulged to form an arc surface which is the same as the axial direction of the shaft section.

And e, when the fork head groove is stretched, extruding arc-shaped concave surfaces on two side walls of the positioning groove which is elongated to form the fork head groove.
