SiC enables formation of silicon dioxide by thermal oxidation more conveniently than other third generation semiconductors such as GaN. Therefore, SiC is considered as an important development direction of a new generation of high-performance power electronic devices, and has wide application prospects in the fields of new energy automobiles, rail transit, locomotive traction, smart power grids and the like.
