The process for the preparation of disposable paper products printed with compostable biodegradable material according to claim 2, characterized in that the printing glue is prepared as follows: adding water or organic solvent into the compostable biodegradable materials, fully stirring and mixing to process into liquid or semi-liquid state, and preparing the printing glue with the compostable biodegradable materials content of 50-80 wt%.

4. The process of claim 3 for making a disposable paper product printed using compostable biodegradable material wherein the organic solvent is ethyl lactate, methyl lactate or a mixture thereof.

5. The process for preparing disposable paper products printed with compostable biodegradable materials according to claim 1, characterized in that the direct printing is intaglio printing, letterpress printing, offset printing or screen printing.

6. A disposable paper product characterized in that it is prepared by the process of preparing a disposable paper product according to claim 1 using printing of compostable biodegradable materials.

7. The disposable paper product of claim 1 wherein the disposable paper product comprises a paper cup and/or a paper lid.

Technical Field

The invention relates to a process for preparing paper cups by printing compostable biodegradable materials.

Background

The compostable biodegradable materials are more commonly polylactic acid (PLA), which has many uses due to its good biodegradability and versatility. Some of the most common uses include plastic films, bottles and biodegradable medical devices (such as screws, needles, rods and plates, which are expected to biodegrade within 6-12 months). Polylactic acid shrinks by heat and is therefore suitable as a shrink wrap material. On the other hand, its low glass transition temperature makes many types of polylactic acid (e.g. plastic cups) unsuitable for containing hot liquids. However, when the polylactic acid is combined with the paper cup, the polylactic acid has certain capacity of containing hot liquid, because the polylactic acid is combined with the paper board after being heated and shrunk, and the paper board is firmer.

How to combine polylactic acid with paper cups. The current modes mainly comprise film coating, coating and film covering.

At present, polylactic acid is combined on a paperboard, and the defects of material waste, thicker thickness and more complicated process steps exist no matter the paperboard is coated, coated or laminated. Therefore, in the prior art, no matter the film is coated, coated or laminated, a printing process is needed to prepare the disposable paper cup with the pictures and texts.

Disclosure of Invention

In view of the above, the present invention provides a process for printing compostable biodegradable materials for preparing disposable paper products, which saves process steps and improves production efficiency, and the paper cup prepared by the process has reduced thickness, reduced material consumption and reduced cost.

Further, the compostable biodegradable material comprises one or a combination of PLA, PBS and PBAT.

Further, the preparation method of the printing glue comprises the following steps: adding water or organic solvent into the compostable biodegradable materials, fully stirring and mixing to process into liquid or semi-liquid state, and preparing the printing glue with the compostable biodegradable materials content of 50-80 wt%.

Further, the organic solvent is ethyl lactate, methyl lactate or a mixture thereof.

The invention has the beneficial effects that:

taking a disposable paper product as a paper cup as an example, a printer is used on a paperboard, compostable biodegradable materials are used as printing glue for direct printing to form protective films inside or outside the paper cup paper, after the paper cup is manufactured, the direct contact between the paper and liquid is isolated, the use function of the paper cup is achieved, the environment-friendly degradation function under the composting condition can be achieved, the traditional paper cup is distinguished from the paper cup formed by Polyethylene (PE) film coating, coating and laminating on the paper cup paper, and the function of the paper cup is achieved but the environment-friendly degradation function cannot be achieved.

The process of the invention is different from other processing modes such as film coating, film covering and the like: the normal process is to meet the requirement of environment-friendly degradation of paper cups, the compostable biodegradable materials are combined with paper in a film spraying, coating or laminating mode and then printed, at least more than two machines are needed for finishing, namely, the compostable biodegradable materials are combined with the paper through a film spraying machine or a coating machine or a laminating machine, and then the printing processing of the paper cups is finished through a printer; or after the paper cup paper pattern is printed by the printer, the compostable biodegradable material is combined with the paper cup paper by the laminating machine or the coating machine or the laminating machine.
