1. A process for preparing an adhesive-coated article, wherein an aqueous dispersion adhesive composition comprising

(a) At least one binder polymer dispersed in the aqueous phase, and

(b) at least one polyvinylpyrrolidone dissolved in the aqueous phase

Is applied to a film substrate using a coater having at least one rotating roll, wherein the substrate web speed of the film substrate is not less than 150m/min, preferably not less than 200m/min, and wherein the coated film substrate is optionally bonded to another substrate.

2. The method of the preceding claim, wherein the adhesive coated article is selected from the group consisting of a laminate and a pressure sensitive adhesive article.

3. The method of any preceding claim, wherein the article is a composite film in which at least two films are adhered to one another using the aqueous dispersion adhesive composition.

4. The method according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the measurement is at 250m/minThe dispersion adhesive composition exhibits a value of greater than 120 minutes in the foam test.

5. The method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the polyvinylpyrrolidone has a K-value of 25 to 100 measured as a 1% aqueous solution at 25 ℃.

6. The method of any preceding claim, wherein the dispersion adhesive composition comprises

(i)30 to 60% by weight of at least one binder polymer, and

(ii)0.02 to 2% by weight of polyvinylpyrrolidone.

7. The method according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the glass transition temperature of the binder polymer is from-40 ℃ to +15 ℃, preferably from-10 ℃ to +10 ℃, as measured by differential scanning calorimetry at a heating rate of 20 ℃/min.

8. The method of any preceding claim, wherein the dispersion adhesive composition comprises

(i) At least one binder polymer dispersed in the aqueous phase, and

(ii) polyvinylpyrrolidone dissolved in the water phase,

wherein the binder polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyurethanes and polymers preparable by free radical emulsion polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated, free radical polymerizable monomers comprising:

a) at least 60% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of: C1-C20-alkyl acrylates, C1-C20-alkyl methacrylates, vinyl esters of carboxylic acids containing up to 20 carbon atoms, vinyl aromatics having up to 20 carbon atoms, vinyl halides, vinyl ethers of alcohols containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, aliphatic hydrocarbons having 2 to 8 carbon atoms and one or two double bonds, and mixtures of these monomers;

b) at least 0.1% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, of at least one monomer having at least one acid group, preferably selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid, maleic acid, fumaric acid, crotonic acid, vinylacetic acid, vinyllactic acid, vinylsulfonic acid, styrenesulfonic acid, acrylamidomethylpropanesulfonic acid, sulfopropyl acrylate, sulfopropyl methacrylate and mixtures of these monomers;

c) optionally at least one further monomer different from monomers a) and b).

9. The method according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the dispersion adhesive composition comprises as adhesive polymer at least one polyurethane consisting of:

a) at least one monomeric diisocyanate in a mixture of at least one monomeric diisocyanate,

b) at least one diol, wherein

b1)10 to 100 mol%, based on the total amount of diols (b), of a molecular weight of 500 to 5000g/mol,

b2)0 to 90 mol%, based on the total amount of diols (b), of a molecular weight of 60 to less than 500g/mol,

c) at least one monomer different from monomers (a) and (b) having at least one isocyanate group or at least one isocyanate-reactive group which also carries at least one hydrophilic group or potentially hydrophilic group, and

d) optionally at least one further compound, different from the monomers (a) to (c), having at least two reactive groups selected from alcoholic hydroxyl, primary or secondary amino or isocyanate groups, and

e) optionally at least one monofunctional compound different from monomers (a) to (d) having a reactive group which is an alcoholic hydroxyl, primary or secondary amino or isocyanate group.

10. The method according to the preceding claim, wherein

Said diisocyanate a) being selected from the group consisting of the formula X (NCO)2Wherein X represents an acyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 4 to 15 carbon atoms, an alicyclic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms, an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms or an araliphatic hydrocarbon group having 7 to 15 carbon atoms, preferably selected from hexamethylene diisocyanate, 1-isocyanato-3, 5, 5-trimethyl-5-isocyanatomethylcyclohexane, 2, 6-diisocyanatotoluene, 2, 4-diisocyanatotoluene and tetramethylxylylene diisocyanate or mixtures thereof;

the diol b1) is selected from polyester diols, polycarbonate diols and polyether diols; and is

The compound c) is selected from the group consisting of dihydroxy carboxylic acids, diamino carboxylic acids and diamino sulfonic acids.

11. The process according to any one of claims 9 and 10, wherein the content of anionic or potentially anionic groups in the polyurethane is from 30 to 1000mmol/kg polyurethane.

12. The method of any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the dispersion adhesive composition comprises as an adhesive composition at least one polymer preparable by free radical emulsion polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated, free-radically polymerizable monomers comprising:

a) 60 to 99.9% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of: C1-C20-alkyl acrylate, C1-C20-alkyl methacrylate, vinyl aromatic compounds having up to 20 carbon atoms, and

b) 0.1 to 5% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, of at least one monomer having at least one acid group selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and itaconic acid, and

c) 0 to 10% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, of further monomers which are different from the monomers a) to b), selected from the group consisting of acrylamide, methacrylamide, N-methylolacrylamide, N-methylolmethacrylamide, phenoxyethyl ethylene glycol mono (meth) acrylate, hydroxyl-containing monomers, amino-containing monomers, nitriles, α, β -monoethylenically unsaturated C3-C8-carboxylic acids, difunctional monomers which contain not only ethylenically unsaturated double bonds but also at least one glycidyl, oxazolinyl, ureido or ureido homologous group, and crosslinking monomers having more than one free-radically polymerizable group.

13. The process according to any one of claims 8 and 12, wherein the monomer a) is selected from C1-C10-alkyl acrylates, C1-C10-alkyl methacrylates and styrene.

14. The process according to any one of claims 8 and 12 to 13, wherein the monomers a) are used in an amount of at least 80% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, and are selected from the group consisting of C1-C10-alkyl acrylates, C1-C10-alkyl methacrylates, styrene, and mixtures thereof; and the monomer b) is used in an amount of 0.5 to 5% by weight based on the total amount of monomers and is selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid, and mixtures thereof.

15. The method of any one of claims 1 to 8 and 12 to 14, wherein the binder polymer dispersed in the aqueous phase is a styrene/acrylate copolymer formed from a monomer mixture comprising styrene and at least one monomer selected from C1-C20-alkyl acrylate and C1-C20-alkyl methacrylate.

16. The method of any one of claims 1 to 8 and 12 to 15, wherein the dispersion adhesive composition comprises water-dispersed polymer particles having an average particle size of greater than 200nm, preferably greater than 250nm, wherein the polymer particles have a monomodal particle size distribution and a uniform glass transition temperature,

prepared by free-radical emulsion polymerization of a single monomer mixture comprising ethylenically unsaturated, free-radically polymerizable monomers,

the use of a polymer seed is preferred,

less than 0.8 parts by weight of an emulsifier based on 100 parts by weight of the monomers,

without the addition of protective colloids and without the formation of protective colloids in situ,

wherein the monomer mixture consists of the following monomers:

a) at least 60% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of: C1-C20-alkyl acrylates, C1-C20-alkyl methacrylates, vinyl esters of carboxylic acids containing up to 20 carbon atoms, vinyl aromatics having up to 20 carbon atoms, vinyl halides, vinyl ethers of alcohols containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms, aliphatic hydrocarbons having 2 to 8 carbon atoms and one or two double bonds, and mixtures of these monomers;

b) at least 0.1% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, of at least one monomer having at least one acid group;

c) optionally at least one further monomer different from monomers a) and b);

wherein the feeding of the monomer mixture is carried out during the polymerization at a first feed rate and at least one second feed rate, wherein the first feed rate is preferably slower than the second feed rate, and wherein the acid groups of the monomers b) are completely or partially neutralized by a feed base during the emulsion polymerization, wherein the feeding of the base is started during the emulsion polymerization when at least 5 wt. -%, preferably between 10 and 70 wt. -% of the total monomer mixture is present in the reaction vessel under polymerization conditions.

17. The method of any preceding claim, wherein the dispersion adhesive composition comprises at least one cross-linkable adhesive polymer dispersed in an aqueous phase and at least one reactive cross-linking agent.

18. The method of the preceding claim, wherein the crosslinker is a polyisocyanate.

19. The method according to the preceding claim, wherein the material of the film substrate is selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, oriented polypropylene, unoriented polypropylene, polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate, polyacetate, cellophane, metallized film and metal foil.

20. The method of any preceding claim, wherein the dispersion adhesive composition is free of silicone-based defoamer and/or free of organic oil-based defoamer.

21. Aqueous dispersion adhesive composition comprising

(a) At least one binder polymer dispersed in the aqueous phase, and

(b) polyvinylpyrrolidone dissolved in aqueous phase

Use for the preparation of a film mechanically coated with a dispersion adhesive composition, preferably for the preparation of a composite film, or for laminating a rigid shaped article having a flexible decorative film mechanically coated with a dispersion adhesive composition, wherein the aqueous dispersion adhesive composition is applied onto a film substrate by means of a coater having at least one rotating roll, wherein the substrate speed of the film substrate is at least 150 m/min.

22. Use of polyvinylpyrrolidone as defoamer for applying an aqueous dispersion adhesive composition onto a film substrate using a coater having at least one rotating roll, wherein the film substrate has a binder speed of at least 150 m/min.

Raw materials:

dispersion a: aqueous styrene/acrylate polymer dispersions of binder polymers based on n-butyl acrylate, styrene and acrylic acid; a solids content of 46%; the glass transition temperature was +7 ℃.

FLX 3628X: about 53% aqueous polymer dispersion of acrylate and methacrylate based adhesive polymer

FLX 3621: about 53% aqueous polyurethane dispersion of a polyether-polyurethane elastomer based adhesive polymer

K90: polyvinylpyrrolidone having a K value of 88.0 to 92.0 (measured as a 1% aqueous solution at 25 ℃), used as a 20% aqueous solution
