the electronic control device (9) is provided for: starting the thawing phase at the calculated start time point, and

the electronic control device (9) is provided for: ending the thawing phase and starting the cooling phase at the point in time.

-ending the thawing phase and starting the cooling phase at said point in time.

8. The method of claim 7, having the step of determining: -determining the thawing temperature based on data on the type, quantity and shape of the food (21) to be thawed.

9. The method according to claim 7 or 8, having an input or selection step: data on the type, quantity and shape of the food to be thawed are manually entered or selected.

Technical Field

The invention relates to a domestic refrigerator having a defrosting compartment and to a method for operating such a domestic refrigerator.

Background

US 5,326,578 discloses a refrigerator comprising a refrigerating device, a heater, a multi-purpose compartment for refrigerated storage and thawing of food, a control device for regulating the heating device, a thawing button and an input menu. The thawing phase during which frozen food located in the multi-purpose compartment is thawed is initiated by pressing the thawing button. During the thawing phase, the control device regulates the heater so as to heat the air of the multi-functional compartment for thawing. Based on the data relating to the size of the food to be frozen, which is manually selected by means of an input menu, a thawing temperature assigned to the selected size, a minimum thawing duration assigned to the selected size and a maximum thawing duration assigned to the selected size are derived. If the minimum thawing duration is reached, the thawing phase is ended when the multi-purpose compartment reaches the corresponding thawing temperature. Otherwise, the thawing phase is extended until a maximum thawing duration is reached. After the end of the thawing phase, the heater is switched off in order to cool the multi-functional compartment to a temperature of-2 ℃ and for a predetermined duration.

US 2008/0017348 a1 discloses a thawing appliance for thawing frozen food. The thawing apparatus comprises a thawing chamber and a temperature sensor, and is arranged for: the food is heated according to the surface temperature of the food to be thawed, which is measured by means of the temperature sensor. After thawing, the thawing chamber is cooled at a temperature of 3 to 4 ℃ for coolingly storing the thawed food.

Disclosure of Invention

The object of the present invention is to provide an improved domestic refrigeration device having a thawing compartment and an improved method for operating a domestic refrigeration device having a thawing compartment.

The object of the invention is achieved by a domestic refrigeration device having: a thawing compartment for receiving food to be thawed; a refrigeration device is arranged for cooling the thawing compartment; a heating device for heating the thawing grid is arranged; an electronic control device configured to: the heating device and the refrigerating device are controlled in such a way that the thawing compartment has a freezing temperature of less than-10 ℃ during a freezing phase, a thawing temperature of more than 0 ℃ during a thawing phase directly following the freezing phase, and a cooling temperature of more than the freezing temperature and less than the thawing temperature during a cooling phase directly following the thawing phase, wherein the electronic control device is provided for: calculating, by means of a mathematical food model and data on the type, magnitude and shape of the food to be thawed, a thawing duration within which the food to be thawed is completely thawed during a thawing phase on the basis of the freezing temperature and the thawing temperature, the electronic control device being provided for: based on the data relating to the point in time at which the food to be thawed is to be completely thawed, a starting point in time for the thawing phase is calculated from the calculated thawing duration and the point in time, such that the food to be thawed is completely thawed at the point in time, the electronic control device being provided for: starting the thawing phase at the calculated starting point in time, and the electronic control device is arranged for: the thawing phase ends at the above-mentioned point in time and the cooling phase begins.

The object of the invention is also achieved by a method for operating a domestic refrigeration device having a thawing compartment for receiving food to be thawed, a refrigeration device provided for cooling the thawing compartment, and a heating device provided for heating the thawing compartment, having the following method steps:

operating the heating device and the refrigerating device, in particular in a manner controlled by an electronic control device of the domestic refrigerating appliance, such that the thawing compartment has a freezing temperature of less than-10 ℃ during a freezing phase, a thawing temperature of more than 0 ℃ during a thawing phase directly following the freezing phase, and a cooling temperature of more than the freezing temperature and less than the thawing temperature during a cooling phase directly following the thawing phase,

calculating, by means of a mathematical food model and data relating to the type, magnitude and shape of the food to be thawed (in particular by means of an electronic control device), a thawing duration within which the food to be thawed is completely thawed during a thawing phase on the basis of the freezing temperature and the thawing temperature,

calculating a starting point in time for the thawing phase from the calculated thawing duration and said point in time based on data (in particular by means of an electronic control device) about a point in time at which the food to be thawed should be completely thawed such that the food to be thawed is completely thawed at said point in time,

-starting a thawing phase at the calculated start time point, and,

-ending the thawing phase and starting the cooling phase at the above-mentioned point in time.

Accordingly, a domestic refrigeration appliance comprises a thawing compartment, a refrigeration device and a heating device. The thawing compartment is configured for: the frozen food is thawed and, if necessary, after thawing (i.e. after the thawing phase), the thawed food is stored refrigerated during the cooling phase. To achieve such a refrigerated storage, the domestic refrigeration appliance comprises a refrigeration device. The refrigerating device is preferably constructed as a refrigerant circuit known in principle to the person skilled in the art. Here, the cooling temperature is lower than the thawing temperature. The cooling temperature is preferably 0 ℃ or higher, and is preferably adjusted to, for example, 3 ℃ to 4 ℃.

The thawing temperature is preferably greater than 4 deg.C, for example between 8 deg.C and 16 deg.C.

Furthermore, the domestic refrigeration device is provided for: the food to be thawed is stored frozen during the freezing phase prior to the thawing phase. The freezing temperature is less than-10 deg.C, preferably-18 deg.C. During the freezing phase, the electronic control device controls the refrigeration device, in particular accordingly. The domestic refrigeration device comprises in particular an electronic control device which is provided for: the refrigeration device and the heating device are controlled during a freezing phase, a thawing phase and a cooling phase in such a way that the thawing compartment has a predetermined temperature. The cooling device and/or the heating device are preferably regulated. For this purpose, the domestic refrigeration appliance can comprise a temperature sensor which measures the current actual temperature of the thawing compartment.

Depending on the type, size and shape of the food to be thawed, the thawing temperature and the freezing temperature (i.e. the temperature which the food has at the starting point in time of thawing), different thawing durations are obtained within which the frozen food is completely thawed.

The type of food means in particular: food relates to, for example, meat, poultry, fish, fruit or fruit. For example, in the case of meat, it can be classified as fatty or lean and, if necessary, also as boneless or boneless.

A measure for the quantity of food to be thawed (Menge) is for example its quality before thawing.

The shape of the food may for example be: the food to be thawed is either configured flat (for example already divided into a certain number of steaks), or in the form of a relatively large block (for example a barbecue), or for example composed of a plurality of smaller parts (for example individual vegetable portions).

Here, according to the invention, the thawing duration is calculated by means of a mathematical food model on the basis of data about the type, magnitude and shape of the food to be thawed and on the basis of the starting temperature and the freezing temperature. For example, one skilled in the art predicts the freezing and thawing times of multi-dimensional shapes by simple formulas from International Journal reference 1987, may, volume 10, d.j.cleland, a.c.cleland, r.l.earke, part 1: conventional shape (preceding of frying and drawing times for multi-dimensional shapes Part 1: regular shapes) "known mathematical food models.

Such mathematical food models are stored, for example, in an electronic control device.

Based on the calculated thawing duration and the data about the point in time at which the food should be completely thawed, such a starting point in time can be calculated: the thawing phase should start at said starting point in time. Thereby it is possible to realize: the food to be thawed can first be stored frozen in the thawing compartment and only thawed automatically when the thawed food is to be used. Thereby, the food can be kept fresh for a longer time. In contrast, if the thawed food is not used at the desired point in time but only later, the thawed food is automatically stored in a refrigerated manner on the basis of a cooling phase following the thawing phase, whereby the thawed food remains fresh for a longer time. The domestic refrigeration appliance may comprise, for example, a clock in order to identify the starting point in time.

The defrosting temperature can be predefined, for example, fixedly or can also be set manually (for example, by means of an input device of the domestic refrigeration appliance). Preferably, the thawing temperature is automatically determined (in particular by means of a mathematical food model) on the basis of data relating to the type, magnitude and shape of the food to be thawed.

Data on the type, magnitude and shape of the food can be entered or selected, for example manually (for example by means of an input device of the domestic refrigeration appliance). The input means comprise, for example, a menu by means of which the type, magnitude and shape of the food can be selected.

Preferably, the data relating to the type, the magnitude and the shape of the food can be at least partially automatically ascertained by means of a corresponding determination device of the domestic refrigeration appliance.

The determination device may comprise, for example, a scale, by means of which the mass (i.e. the quantity) of the food to be thawed is automatically determined.

The determination means may also comprise an odor sensor by means of which the type of the food can be automatically determined.

Depending on the specific embodiment of the domestic refrigerator according to the invention, in particular on the basis of the data relating to the type, the quantity and the shape of the food, a prediction of the thawing time points (or thawing durations) of the different foods stored frozen is made and, if appropriate, the thawing parameters can be set. The thawing duration is calculated by means of a mathematical food model, whereby the food can be thawed, in particular under relatively good, if not optimal, hygienic conditions, and if necessary stored temporarily refrigerated until use.

For example, after entering the initial state of the food (type, amount and shape of the food), conclusions can be drawn about the thawing duration (and optionally also the thawing temperature). Alternatively, data from technical literature values or experimentally derived values can be stored regarding the thawing duration.

This creates the possibility of: the frozen food is stored at the optimum cooling temperature for as long as possible and at the same time offers the user the possibility of: the thawed food is available for use at a time point predetermined by him. If the thawed product should not be used at the preselected point in time, the thawed food can be stored hygienically more safely for a longer period of time during the cooling phase.

An example of thawing may be: the food was stored at 4 ℃ from time 8:00 to 18:00 until the food was completely thawed, and, once the food was not taken out as preset, at 0 ℃ from time 18: 00.

Fig. 1 shows a front view of a domestic refrigeration device 1.

The domestic refrigerator 1 comprises a thermally insulated body 2 with an inner container 3, said inner container 3 comprising a coolable inner space configured as a freezer space 4 for storing frozen food at a temperature of, for example, -18 ℃.

The domestic refrigeration device 1 comprises a thawing compartment 20, which thawing compartment 20 is shown in more detail in a broken-away view in fig. 2, and which thawing compartment 20 is also delimited by the body 2, for example. The thawing compartment 20 is provided for: the food 21 to be thawed is thawed during the thawing phase at a thawing temperature of more than 0 ℃ and subsequently stored refrigerated during the cooling phase. In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the electronic control device 9 is provided for: based on the data regarding the point in time at which the food to be thawed should be completely thawed, a starting point in time for the thawing phase is calculated from the calculated thawing duration and from this point in time, so that the food to be thawed is completely thawed at this point in time.

In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the electronic control device 9 is provided for: the thawing phase is started at the calculated starting point in time, and the electronic control means 9 are arranged for: the thawing phase ends at the above-mentioned point in time and then the cooling phase begins.

Such data can also be entered remotely (e.g., with the smartphone 10). For this purpose, the domestic refrigerator 1 is connected in particular to the internet. The smartphone 10 is then configured with a suitable App, among other things.

In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the domestic refrigeration appliance 1 comprises a determination device which is provided for: the type, magnitude and shape of the food to be thawed is determined at least partially automatically. Such a determination device comprises, for example, a scale 26, by means of which scale 26 the quantity (or mass) of the food 21 to be thawed is automatically determined, and/or an odor sensor 27, by means of which odor sensor 27 the type of food 21 to be thawed can be determined.

In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, the input device 8 is embodied as a touch screen.

The type of food means in particular whether the food relates to meat, poultry, fish, fruit or fruit, for example. In the case of the present embodiment, this selection is displayed symbolically by means of the input device 8. The type of food 21 can be selected by touching the small boxes 31 to 34 assigned to a single symbol.

It is also possible to divide the meat into fatty or lean meat and, if appropriate, also into meat with bones or meat without bones. In the case of the present embodiment, this selection can be made by touching the selection buttons 31a to 31 d.

The mass or quantity of the food 21 to be thawed can be determined automatically by means of the scale 26 (if present) or can be entered by means of the input device 8. The input device 8 comprises for this purpose, for example, an input unit 35.

In the current embodiment, the data of the shape of the food 21 includes, for example: the food to be thawed is either flat or in the form of a relatively large block or, for example, consists of a plurality of smaller parts. In the case of the present exemplary embodiment, this selection is displayed symbolically by means of the input device 8. The type of the food 21 can be selected by touching the selection buttons 36a to 36c assigned to these symbols.
