Technical Field

The invention relates to the technical field of underwater operation machinery, in particular to a sealing device for an underwater oil-filled umbilical cable box, the umbilical cable box and a sealing method thereof.

Background

The sealing joint can not leak after the internal oiling of the umbilical cable box for underwater operation, particularly for deepwater operation machinery, the prior umbilical cable box sealing device mostly adopts a flange vulcanization working mode, the working mode can also meet the requirements of the underwater operation, the defects are quite obvious, and the sealing joint is mainly shown in the following aspects:

1. the existing sealing scheme is disposable, because a flange vulcanization structure is adopted, vulcanization needs to be carried out on site, and the time for standing after vulcanization is generally 24 hours or even longer;

2. the existing cable inlet and outlet interface of the umbilical cable box has a complex structure, the sealing requirement can be met only by multiple sealing, and the complex interface directly causes the processing cost and the processing period to be greatly increased;

3. the existing structure can not be suitable for different types of cables, all sealing structures must be correspondingly changed after the cables are changed, and the whole sealing structure needs to be redesigned, processed and vulcanized;

4. the method has the advantages that high requirements are provided for field installation personnel, the installation personnel need to master the vulcanization process skillfully, the joint can enter the next link for installation after being vulcanized and needing to stand for 24 hours or even longer, and the expected purpose cannot be completely guaranteed by adopting the existing vulcanization process;

5. the sealing effect can not be detected through laboratory simulation pressurization after the existing vulcanization scheme is finished, and potential risks can not be found in advance.

Disclosure of Invention

The invention aims to solve the technical problem of overcoming the defects in the prior art and provides a sealing device for an underwater oil-filled umbilical cable box, the umbilical cable box and a sealing method thereof.

In order to solve the technical problems, the invention firstly provides a sealing device for an underwater oil-filled umbilical cable box, which comprises a locking nut, an elastic sealing gasket and a sealing seat which can be welded at an entrance and an exit of the umbilical cable box in a sealing way, wherein a sealing seat hole which can be sleeved outside the umbilical cable is arranged in the sealing seat, a sealing gasket hole which can be sleeved outside the umbilical cable is arranged in the elastic sealing gasket, a locking nut hole which can be sleeved on the umbilical cable is arranged in the locking nut, the sealing seat hole comprises a tapered hole at one end, and one end of the locking nut is in threaded fit with the sealing seat hole so as to seal the sealing seat hole by extruding the elastic sealing gasket into the tapered hole.

Furthermore, the sealing seat hole further comprises a threaded straight hole at the other end, and the threaded straight hole is matched with the external thread of the locking nut.

Furthermore, a rotary driving end used for driving a tool to rotate is arranged outside the other end of the locking nut.

Furthermore, the outside of one end of the sealing seat is provided with a conical end of the sealing seat which can be inserted into the inlet and outlet of the umbilical cable box.

Then, the invention discloses an underwater oil-filled umbilical cable box, which comprises the sealing device, wherein the conical end of the sealing seat is inserted into the inlet and outlet of the umbilical cable box, and the conical end of the sealing seat and the inlet and outlet of the umbilical cable box are welded and sealed.

Then, the invention discloses a sealing method of an underwater oil-filled umbilical cable box, which comprises the following steps:

s1, selecting a sealing seat with the size of an inlet and an outlet not smaller than the external diameter of the umbilical cable according to the external diameter of the umbilical cable to be sealed, and firmly welding the sealing seat with the umbilical cable box;

s2, selecting a proper elastic sealing gasket according to the external diameter of the umbilical cable, and selecting a proper locking nut according to the size of the internal thread of the sealing seat;

s3, after the umbilical cable, the locking nut and the elastic sealing gasket are sequentially assembled, the locking nut is rotated, the elastic sealing gasket is compressed by means of the thread fit between the locking nut and the sealing seat, and the purpose of double sealing of the umbilical cable and the elastic sealing gasket, and the sealing of the sealing seat and the elastic sealing gasket is achieved, so that the umbilical cable and the umbilical cable box are sealed.

Compared with the prior art, the invention has the advantages that:

the sealing mode of the umbilical cable box is changed from a vulcanization mode to a thread fastening mode consisting of the elastic sealing gasket, the locking nut and the sealing seat, so that the umbilical cable box can be sealed by only replacing the elastic sealing gasket for cables with different sizes; meanwhile, the sealing reliability can be tested by using a detection means; and then can ensure that umbilical cable case work efficiency, reliability all improve by a wide margin, overcome current scheme installation difficulty, work efficiency is low completely, can not pass through fatal shortcomings such as laboratory detection. Furthermore, the sealing contact surface is in a conical form, has the characteristics of guiding and automatic centering, and can effectively improve the sealing reliability.

Detailed Description

In order to facilitate understanding of the invention, the invention will be described more fully and in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and preferred embodiments, but the scope of the invention is not limited to the specific embodiments below.

As shown in fig. 1, the embodiment of the invention discloses a sealing device for an underwater oil-filled umbilical cable box, which comprises a locking nut 1, an elastic sealing gasket 2 and a sealing seat 4 which can be sealed and welded at an entrance and an exit of the umbilical cable box 3, wherein a sealing seat hole 41 which can be sleeved outside the umbilical cable 5 is arranged in the sealing seat 4, a sealing pad hole 21 which can be sleeved outside the umbilical cable 5 is arranged in the elastic sealing gasket 2, a locking nut hole 11 which can be sleeved on the umbilical cable 5 is arranged in the locking nut 1, a rotary driving end 12 for driving a tool to rotate is arranged outside the other end of the locking nut 1, the locking nut 1 can directly select the locking nut hole 11 of the existing standard nut processing center, the rotary driving end 12 is a nut head of the nut, the rotary driving end 12 can be a hexagonal prism structure, and can be rotated by a wrench, the sealing seat hole 41 comprises a tapered hole 411 with one end close to the umbilical cable box 3, locking nut 1 one end and the 41 screw-thread fit of seal receptacle hole are in order to extrude into bell mouth 411 through elastic sealing pad 2, further with sealed seal receptacle hole 41, thereby at locking nut 1 axial screw motion's in-process, extrusion elastic sealing pad 2 warp, thereby elastic sealing pad 2's outside extrusion is on the inner wall of bell mouth 411, inboard extrusion is on the outer wall of navel cord cable 5, change into the huge extrusion deformation power to elastic sealing pad 2 through the less revolving force to locking nut 1, thereby realize firm sealing between navel cord cable 5 and the seal receptacle 4, be convenient for resist deep water high pressure.

In this embodiment, the seal seat hole 41 further includes a threaded straight hole 412 at the other end away from the umbilical box 3, the threaded straight hole 412 is matched with the external thread of the lock nut 1, and the threaded straight hole 412 is convenient for machining.

In this embodiment, the sealing seat tapered end 42 that can be inserted into the access & exit of the umbilical cable box 3 is disposed outside one end of the sealing seat 4, which facilitates the quick assembly and pre-fixing of the sealing seat 4, thereby ensuring the sealing performance of the welding.

In this embodiment, the elastic sealing gasket 2 has a T-shaped structure, including a tapered insertion end 22 for insertion into the tapered hole 411 and a flange end 23 for pressing of the lock nut 1, i.e., the outer diameter of the elastic sealing gasket 2 tends to decrease toward the umbilical box 3. The outer side of the end of the tapered insertion end 22 is provided with a gasket tapered end 221 having a taper smaller than that of the tapered hole 411 so as to facilitate the guided insertion into the tapered hole 411, and the flange end 23 has a large volume so as to facilitate the transmission of the pressing force of the lock nut 1 and also to facilitate the enhancement of the sealing action of the elastic gasket 2.

Then, the invention discloses an underwater oil-filled umbilical cable box, which comprises a sealing device, wherein the conical end 42 of the sealing seat 4 is inserted into the inlet and outlet of the umbilical cable box 3, and the conical end 42 of the sealing seat is welded and sealed with the inlet and outlet of the umbilical cable box 3, so that the sealing effect of the umbilical cable box is ensured, the working efficiency and reliability of the umbilical cable box 3 are greatly improved, and the fatal defects that the existing scheme is difficult to install, low in working efficiency, incapable of passing laboratory detection and the like are completely overcome.

Then, the invention discloses a sealing method of an underwater oil-filled umbilical cable box, which comprises the following steps:

s1, selecting a sealing seat 4 with the size of an inlet and an outlet not smaller than the outer diameter of the umbilical cable 5 according to the outer diameter of the umbilical cable 5 to be sealed, and firmly welding the sealing seat 4 and the umbilical cable box 3 to achieve the purpose of sealing the sealing seat 4 and the umbilical cable box 3;

s2, selecting a proper elastic sealing gasket 2 according to the outer diameter of the umbilical cable 5, and selecting a proper locking nut 1 according to the size of the internal thread of the sealing seat 4;

s3, after the umbilical cable 5, the locking nut 1 and the elastic sealing gasket 2 are sequentially assembled, the locking nut 1 is rotated, the elastic sealing gasket 2 is compressed by means of the thread fit between the locking nut 1 and the sealing seat 4, the purpose of double sealing of the umbilical cable 5 and the elastic sealing gasket 2, and the sealing of the sealing seat 4 and the elastic sealing gasket 2 is achieved, and therefore the umbilical cable 5 and the umbilical cable box 3 are sealed.

Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, it is not intended to be limited thereto. Those skilled in the art can make numerous possible variations and modifications to the present invention, or modify equivalent embodiments to equivalent variations, without departing from the scope of the invention, using the teachings disclosed above. Therefore, any simple modification, equivalent change and modification made to the above embodiments according to the technical spirit of the present invention should fall within the protection scope of the technical scheme of the present invention, unless the technical spirit of the present invention departs from the content of the technical scheme of the present invention.
