The water level difference between the upstream water inlet section and the downstream tail water inlet section of the hydropower station is an important parameter for adjusting the operation of a water turbine in the hydropower station, and when the water level is too high or a flood peak comes, if no stable water level monitoring system carries out early warning, serious safety problems can be caused to a dam. Due to the characteristics of large depth and complex operation environment of a water body monitored by a hydropower station, a sensor of the hydropower station is easily influenced by rainstorm, flooding or water flow with high flow rate, and the monitoring precision of the hydropower station is seriously reduced; and along with the lengthening of the operation time, the accuracy, the stability and the detection precision of the sensor are also reduced. Therefore, most conventional liquid level meters on the market hardly meet the requirements of hydropower stations on high stability requirements and long monitoring periods of liquid level monitoring mechanisms.

According to the traditional hydropower station monitoring method, a person periodically goes to a measurement site to obtain water level information by using a water level rod, but the required measurement positions are respectively positioned at the upstream and the downstream of a water body, so that the method has the problems of low monitoring efficiency and labor consumption, and the conventional hydropower station gradually replaces manual monitoring by an automatic water level alarm device. The water level alarm device is provided with a plurality of alarms in sequence, and wiring terminals of the alarms are arranged in water bodies with different heights; when the water level rises, the end of the butt joint wire is immersed and the circuit is conducted, so that the alarm gives an alarm after the passage.
