In the automatic banknote handling system 1, elements related to conveyance, unlocking, opening, removal of banknotes, and the like of the banknote storage container 10 may be collectively referred to as the banknote storage container handling system 2 or the unlocking system 2.

< overview of operation of automatic banknote handling System 1 >

The operation of the automatic banknote handling system 1 according to the present embodiment will be described below with reference to fig. 1 to 4.

The transport device 200 transports the banknote storage container 10 (see fig. 5) in response to a command from the control device 100 (step S102). The transport device 200 transports the banknote storage container 10 brought in from the outside where the automatic banknote handling system 1 is arranged to the vicinity of the first arm 300. In the present embodiment, the conveying device 200 has a first conveyor 201, a second conveyor 202, a reversing device 210, an RFID antenna 220, and a transfer device 230.

The control device 100 determines the face having the key hole 12, that is, the face on the cover 11 side, based on the data from the RFID antenna 220 (step S104). In the present embodiment, an RFID tag is attached to the surface of the banknote storage container 10 not having the key hole 12, and the details thereof will be described later. When the RFID antenna 220 detects the RFID tag, the control device 100 determines that the cover 11 and the key hole 12 are present on the opposite side surface based on the signal from the RFID antenna 220, and directly conveys the banknote storage container 10 to the transfer device 230.

In the present embodiment, the transfer device 230 is constituted by the sliders 231, 232, and the like, and transfers the banknote storage container 10 from the first transporter 201 to the second transporter 202.

On the other hand, when the RFID antenna 220 does not detect the RFID, the control device 100 judges that the cover 11 and the key hole 12 exist on the face on the RFID antenna 220 side based on the signal from the RFID antenna 220, and rotates the bill storage container 10 using the reversing device 210 so that the face is located on the first arm 300 side (step S106). Then, the control device 100 transfers the rotated bill storage container 10 to the second transporter 202.

The first arm 300 has a key 310 for unlocking the cover 11 of the banknote storage container 10. As will be described later, the first arm 300 inserts the key 310 into the key hole 12 of the banknote storage container 10 by moving the position of the key 310 in the front-rear, left-right, and up-down directions or rotating the key 310 based on an instruction from the control device 100. The first arm 300 unlocks the bill storage container 10 by turning the key 310 based on an instruction from the control device 100, and directly opens the cover 11. More specifically, the control device 100 corrects the rotation angle of the key 310 (rotates the arm) using the data of the up-down position of the key hole 12 obtained from the camera and the data of the rotation angle of the key hole 12, and then moves the first arm 300 to the position of the key hole 12.

The second arm 400 has a holding portion 410 for grasping a bill. The second arm 400 picks up the banknotes in the banknote storage container 10, takes out the banknotes, or places the banknotes on the banknote sorting apparatus 500 by moving the holding portion 410 in the front-back, left-right, and up-down directions based on a command from the control apparatus 100.

The control device 100 controls the first arm 300 to lock the banknote storage container 10. The control device 100 controls the second transporter 202 of the transporting device 200 to transport the empty banknote storage container 10 to the outside.

In the present embodiment, a camera 420 is attached near the holding portion 410 of the second arm 400, and the details thereof will be described later. Then, the following control is performed. That is, the control device 100 moves the banknote storage container 10 to the front of the first arm 300 using the transport device 200. The control device 100 photographs the front surface of the banknote storage container 10 with the camera 420 of the second arm 400 (step S108). The control device 100 determines the position of the keyhole 12 based on the image data (step S110). The control device 100 controls the first arm 300 to move and insert the key 310 into the key hole 12. The control device 100 controls the first arm 300 to rotate the key 310 (step S112). The control device 100 controls the first arm 300 to open the lid of the banknote storing container 10 (step S114). The control device 100 controls the second arm 400 to project the holding portion 410 into the banknote storing container 10. The control device 100 controls the second arm 400 to clamp the bill with the holding portion 410. The control device 100 controls the second arm 400 to withdraw the bill (step S116). The control device 100 controls the second arm 400 to rotate the holding portion 410 by 90 degrees and to make the bill vertical. The control device 100 controls the second arm 400 to place the bill on the bill arranging device 500.

The banknote sorting device 500 sorts banknotes based on a command from the control device 100. That is, the banknote arranging device 500 aligns the positions of the ends of the bundle of banknotes (step S118). In more detail, in the present embodiment, the bill aligning device 500 supports the bills from the side using the plate so that the bills do not fall down when the bills standing vertically are placed by the second arm 400. Then, the banknote sorting apparatus 500 applies vibration to the banknotes by a vibrator not shown, and aligns the positions of the bottom surfaces and the side surfaces of the banknotes standing vertically. In the present embodiment, the banknote sorting apparatus 500 may also align the top surfaces of the banknotes by pressing the plate from above while vibrating.

The control device 100 controls the second arm 400, which waits for a bill to be sorted, to grasp the sorted bill again. The control device 100 controls the second arm 400 to place the aligned bills in the input port of the bill arranging device 600. In the present embodiment, the control device 100 controls the second arm 400 to push the banknotes placed in the inlet to the back side by the front end of the holding portion 410. The banknote sorting apparatus 600 discriminates each banknote type of the banknotes transported from the second arm 400, and stores each banknote type separately (step S120).

In the present embodiment, the banknote sorting apparatus 600 can reject banknotes that have failed to be sorted. When the banknote sorting apparatus 600 rejects the banknotes (yes in step S122), the control apparatus 100 controls the third arm 700 to grasp the rejected banknotes by the holding portion 710. The control device 100 controls the second arm 400 to receive the rejected bill from the third arm 700 through the holding portion 410. Then, the control device 100 places the banknotes again in the inlet of the banknote sorting device 600 (step S120).

In the present embodiment, the banknote sorting apparatus 600 displays the number of sorted and stored banknotes for each banknote type when sorting the banknotes. When a predetermined number of sheets, for example, 100 sheets are accumulated for each banknote type, the banknote sorting apparatus 600 stops sorting. In the present embodiment, a camera is also mounted on the third arm 700, and the control device 100 acquires the number of banknotes for each banknote type to be sorted from an image captured by the camera. When the banknotes of a certain banknote type arranged reach the predetermined number, the third control device 100 controls the arm 700 to grasp the banknotes by the holding portion 710 and convey the banknotes to the bundling device 800. Note that before the banknotes are conveyed to the bundling apparatus 800, the banknotes are preferably aligned again by the banknote aligning apparatus 500.

The binding device 800 winds the tape around the batch of the predetermined number of banknotes (step S124). The control device 100 controls the third arm 700 to grasp the band-wound bill and insert the bill into the storage box 900. In the present embodiment, the storage boxes 900 are divided for each banknote type, and the control device 100 controls the third arm 700 to throw the banknotes with the tapes wound around into the corresponding storage boxes 900 according to the banknote type thereof (step S126).

As described above, in the automatic banknote handling system 1 according to the present embodiment, since the stored banknotes of the plurality of banknote types can be automatically converted into the batch of the bundled and packed banknotes of each banknote type and the predetermined number of banknotes in the locked state of the banknote storage container 10, the banknotes can be handled more safely and conveniently than in the related art.

In the above embodiment, the camera is mounted on the third arm 700, and the control device 100 determines whether or not the predetermined number of banknotes are stacked for each banknote type based on the image from the camera. However, the banknote sorting apparatus 600 may transmit a notification of the number of sorted banknotes for each banknote type and the number of stacked predetermined banknotes to the control apparatus 100. In this case, the third arm 700 may not have a camera.

In the above embodiment, the automatic banknote handling system 1 is mounted with the first arm 300 having the key 310 and the second arm 400 having the camera 420. However, the second arm 400 may have a key, or the first arm 300 may have a holding portion 410 for picking up a bill.

Without being limited to the configuration of the above-described embodiment, the roles of the respective devices may be assumed by another device, the role of one device may be assumed by a plurality of devices, or the roles of a plurality of devices may be assumed by one device. For example, as shown in fig. 6, the role of the control device 100 may be assumed by the controllers of the first arm 300 and the second arm 400. Then, the processing of the control apparatus 100 may be executed by the CPU and the memory of the camera 420, or may be executed by the controller of the first arm 300 or the like.
