The sponge city can absorb, store, seep water and purify water when raining, and release and utilize the stored water when needed. The rainwater storage, infiltration and purification in urban areas are realized to the maximum extent on the premise of ensuring the safety of urban drainage and waterlogging prevention, and the utilization of rainwater resources and the ecological environment protection are promoted. The systematicness of natural rainfall, surface water and underground water is planned, water recycling links such as water supply and drainage are coordinated, and the complexity and the long-term property are considered.

Therefore, there is a need to develop an eco-rainwater circulation collection system that can be used for a long time, has a simple structure, and is environmentally friendly.
