A self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells into the environment, made of a plant polymer, preferably made of cardboard, characterized in that it comprises a first hollow outer cylindrical support (1) provided with an outer surface (1.1) and an inner surface (1.2) adapted to reversibly slidingly engage with the outer surface (2.1) of a second inner cylindrical support (2) of the same length, also hollow internally and concentric and coaxial to said outer cylindrical support (1), said second inner cylindrical support (2) being arranged in a first closed configuration, wherein the inner surface (1.2) of said outer cylindrical support (1) and the outer surface (2.1) of said inner cylindrical support (2) are in complete contact with each other, the inner cylindrical support (2) being able to adopt a second open configuration in which the inner cylindrical support (2), sliding axially with respect to the outer cylindrical support (1), protrudes below with respect to the outer cylindrical support (1) so as to enable a user to insert the inner cylindrical support (2) into the support (20), the support comprising a large lower flat resting surface (21) and an upper cylindrical projection (22) provided centrally with a hole (24) and adapted to engage with a lower portion of the inner cylindrical support (2), the upper cylindrical projection (22) being provided with a plurality of ventilation holes (23), the aforementioned sliding of the inner cylindrical support (2) with respect to the outer cylindrical support (1) exposing a predetermined portion of the inner surface (1.2) of the outer cylindrical support (1) and a similar portion of the outer surface of the inner cylindrical support (2) (2.1); a predetermined amount of at least one common scent is applied in any suitable way on the inner surface (1.2) of the outer cylindrical support (1) and/or on the outer surface (2.1) of the inner cylindrical support (2) and said surfaces are adapted to release a predetermined and controlled amount of such scent into the environment when the inner cylindrical support (2) is in the open configuration; the inner cylindrical support (2) is also provided with a plurality of breaking lines (2.4) equally spaced from each other, suitable for enabling the user to remove in a precise and predetermined manner the portions of the inner cylindrical support (2) delimiting the breaking lines (2.4) in order to enable the scent to be dispersed in a controlled manner into the environment, the breaking lines (2.4) being suitable for acting as a progressive scale for adjusting the amount of scent released into the environment when the self-standing device is placed vertically on any flat surface.

Self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells made of vegetable polymer, preferably of cardboard, according to claim 1, characterized in that said lower resting surface (21) is provided with a layer of adhesive or magnetic elements or velcro suitable for enabling its stable application even on vertical, horizontal or inclined planes.

A self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells made of vegetable polymer, preferably of cardboard, according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the outer surface (2.1) and/or the inner surface (2.2) of said inner cylindrical support (2) is provided with at least one relief (2.3) consisting of a thickening element comprised between 0.5mm and 3mm, preferably 1mm, protruding from the outer surface (2.1) and/or the inner surface (2.2) of said inner cylindrical support (2), suitable to increase the static sealing of said device in said first closed configuration and in said second open configuration.

4. A self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells, made of vegetable polymer, preferably of cardboard, according to any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the inner surface (1.2) of said outer cylindrical support (1) is provided with at least one relief (1.3) constituted by a thickening element comprised between 0.5mm and 3mm, preferably 1mm, suitable to increase the static sealing of said device in said first closed configuration and in said second open configuration.

5. A self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells made of plant polymer, preferably of cardboard, according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that on the inner surface (1.2) of the outer cylindrical support (1) and/or on the outer surface (2.1) of the inner cylindrical support (2) two different smells are applied in any suitable way, each arranged at one of the two ends of the inner surface (1.2) of the outer cylindrical support (1) and/or at one of the two ends of the outer surface (2.1) of the inner cylindrical support (2).

6. A self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells, made of plant polymer, preferably of cardboard, according to any one of the previous claims, characterized in that said outer cylindrical support (1) and/or said inner cylindrical support (2) and said support (20) are processed by any treatment suitable for waterproofing it.

A self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells, made of plant polymer, preferably of cardboard, according to any one of the previous claims, characterized in that said support (20) is constituted by a flat surface provided with a plurality of indentations (25) in the vicinity of said central hole (24).

8. Self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells made of vegetable polymer, preferably cardboard, according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that said external cylindrical support (1) is suitably sized to be inserted into the cylindrical support of a common toilet paper or towel roll.

9. Self-standing ecological multipurpose device for gradual release of aromas and smells made of plant polymers, preferably cardboard, according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that common toilet paper or paper towels are wound around the outer surface (1.1) of the outer cylindrical support (1).

Technical Field

The present invention relates to the field of diffusers for releasing fragrance into the environment. In more detail, the invention relates to a perfume diffuser for any domestic environment.

Prior Art

Various household perfume diffusers are already commercially available. Typically, these domestic perfume dispensers are plastic objects into which refills containing the desired perfume are inserted. Diffusion may be performed continuously by connecting the device to an electrical socket by means of a resistor which determines diffusion of the fragrance in the surrounding environment by heating the fragrance element. A second method for dispensing perfume is by spraying, which is done at predetermined time intervals or when a dedicated sensor detects the passage of a person near the diffuser.

Some of these devices are also targets of international patents such as, for example, japanese patent No JP 2015198825. This patent has the objective of claiming a compact and stable fragrance diffuser in order to prevent it from falling and breaking.

All of these devices are expensive and difficult to install.

In addition, they generate additional waste in the domestic waste.

It is an object of the present invention to describe a perfume diffuser that does not require any form of electrical power supply and is eco-friendly.

A second object of the diffuser described herein is to simplify the use of the fragrance diffusing means by providing a modular object in which the amount of perfume released can be easily adjusted by the user.

Disclosure of Invention

According to the present invention, a free-standing device is provided that releases any perfume fragrance in an adjustable manner, thus effectively overcoming the problems identified above.

The device is made entirely of any vegetable polymer, preferably cardboard, thus effectively solving ecological problems.

Advantageously, the device comprises a first outer cylindrical support and a second inner cylindrical support, coaxial and hollow, positioned in a first closed configuration in which the inner surface of the outer cylindrical support and the outer surface of the inner cylindrical support are in full contact with each other. At least one perfume essence is applied in any suitable manner on the inner surface of the outer cylindrical support and/or on the outer surface of the inner cylindrical support and diffusion of perfume is prevented when the support is in the first closed configuration. Said first closed configuration is characterized in that the surfaces at the contact of the outer cylindrical support and the inner cylindrical support are covered with each other.

A support comprising a lower flat resting surface and an upper cylindrical projection is engaged below the inner cylindrical support. The latter is provided with a hole in the centre, in which the lower part of the inner cylindrical support is inserted. In more detail, the upper cylindrical projection of the support surrounds the outer surface of the lower portion of the inner cylindrical support.

In its portion intended to be attached to a resting surface, said upper cylindrical projection is provided with a plurality of ventilation holes, thanks to which the circulation of air around the device and, consequently, the diffusion of the fragrance in the environment is improved.

In its preferred embodiment, the support comprises a flat surface provided with a plurality of grooves near the central hole. Said grooves give the central hole a given elasticity which allows a perfect adhesion between the lower part of the inner cylindrical support of the device and said support.

Advantageously, the lower supporting surface of the support may be provided with a velcro, magnet or adhesive layer allowing the device to be applied even on vertical surfaces of various types.

Advantageously, by sliding the inner cylindrical support along the longitudinal axis, the device can assume a second open configuration, characterized in that the inner cylindrical support protrudes at a lower portion with respect to the outer cylindrical support, so as to leave free, inside the device, at least one surface portion adapted to release perfume fragrance.

Advantageously, whatever the surface impregnated with perfume, it can be divided into two different perfume sectors, so that by sliding the inner cylindrical support to one side, a given perfume will be diffused, and by sliding it to the opposite side, a different perfume will be diffused.

Advantageously, the inner cylindrical support is provided with a plurality of breaking lines adapted to remove in a precise and predetermined manner the portion of the inner cylindrical support projecting into the second open configuration. Preferably, said fracture line is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the inner cylindrical support, thus describing a plurality of circumferences, preferably equally spaced.

In order to guarantee a static seal between said inner and outer cylindrical supports, in particular when the device is advantageously in said second open configuration, the outer surface of the inner cylindrical support and/or the inner surface of the outer cylindrical support may be provided with at least one relief comprising a thickening element of any shape, comprised between 0.5mm and 3mm, preferably 1mm, protruding from the outer surface of the inner cylindrical support and/or the inner surface of the outer cylindrical support.

Even though the inner surface of the inner cylindrical support may similarly be provided with at least one relief adapted to improve the grip obtained by the user on said inner cylindrical support for sliding it with respect to said outer cylindrical support in order to bring the device from the closed configuration to the open configuration.

Advantageously, the device may be provided with a roll of toilet paper or paper towels wound around the outer surface of the outer cylindrical support. Alternatively, the dimensions of the entire device may be suitably selected so that the entire device can be inserted into a common roll of toilet paper or tissue.

The invention will be described in at least one preferred embodiment, provided by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

fig. 1 shows a three-dimensional view of the device according to the invention, wherein an outer cylindrical support 1 and an inner cylindrical support 2 protruding below can be seen. There is shown a break line 2.4 highlighted by a scissors symbol, which in this case depicts six equally spaced circles. The support 20 (all its components, i.e. the lower resting surface 21, the upper projection 22, the lateral holes 23 and the central hole 24) is shown at the lower part. In this case, the upper projection 22 is provided with a groove 25.

Fig. 2 shows a three-dimensional cross-sectional view of the device, showing an inner surface 1.2 provided with a plurality of reliefs 1.3, which eventually engage with reliefs 2.3 present on the inner surface 2.1 of the inner cylindrical support 2; also shown is a circular break line 2.4 arranged on the inner cylindrical support 2 to allow for individual diffusion of fragrance.

Detailed Description

The present invention will now be described, purely by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, which show some embodiments relating to the inventive concept.

Referring to FIG. 1, a fragrance diffuser comprised of the free-standing device of the present invention is shown.

An outer cylindrical support 1 is shown arranged coaxially with an inner cylindrical support 2. Due to the adhesion between the inner surface 1.2 of the outer cylindrical support 1 and the outer surface 2.1 of the inner cylindrical support 2, these two parts can reversibly adopt a first closed configuration and a second open configuration due to the action of the user.

The first closed configuration is characterized in that the inner surface 1.2 of the outer cylindrical support 1 and the outer surface 2.1 of the inner cylindrical support 2 are in full contact with each other. These are in fact surfaces that are soaked with fragrance, a fact which is required to prevent the diffusion of fragrance in the environment in the first closed configuration.

Conversely, in the second open configuration, the inner cylindrical support 2, which slides axially with respect to the outer cylindrical support 1, protrudes at the lower portion. The lower protruding portion may be adapted to be inserted into the central hole 24 of the support 20, which may be adapted to impart stability to the overall device.

In the second open configuration, a predetermined portion of the inner surface 1.2 of the outer cylindrical support 1 and a similar portion of the outer surface 2.1 of the inner cylindrical support 2 are exposed, thereby releasing the scented fragrance into the environment.

Said support 20 is constituted by a lower flat resting surface 21 and an upper cylindrical projection 22. The upper cylindrical projection 22 is adapted to engage with the projecting portion of the inner cylindrical support 2, although the lower flat resting surface 21 is adapted to allow the device to rest stably on a horizontal surface, or if provided with an adhesive, magnet or Velcro, to adhere to a vertical or inclined surface.

Furthermore, said support 20 is provided with a plurality of lateral holes 23 adapted to promote the flow of air around and inside the device to increase the diffusion of the fragrance.

In the embodiment represented in fig. 1, said support 20 is constituted by a flat surface provided with a plurality of recesses 25 near the central hole 24, which allow a protruding shape of the upper part of the support 20.

Furthermore, the inner cylindrical support 2 is also provided with a plurality of breaking lines 2.4 adapted to allow the user to remove the inner cylindrical support portion 2 defined by them in a precise and predetermined manner. In this way, the break line acts as a progressive scale for adjusting the released dose of scent to prevent the open configuration from making the device too high.

With reference to fig. 2, an embodiment of the device is shown, wherein the outer surface 2.1 of the inner cylindrical support 2 and the inner surface 1.2 of the outer cylindrical support 1 are provided with reliefs 1.3-2.3, constituted by thickening elements comprised between 0.5mm and 3mm, preferably 1mm, suitable for increasing the static sealing of the device in said closed configuration and in said open configuration.

All the components of the device are made of cardboard or any other vegetable polymer, thus making the device completely eco-friendly.

Finally, it is clear that the invention described so far can undergo modifications, additions or variants obvious to a person skilled in the art, without departing from the scope of protection as outlined by the claims appended hereto.
