Background

The automatic opening and closing multi-folding umbrella on the market can realize the opening action of extending the middle rod and opening the umbrella ribs or the closing action of folding the umbrella ribs by pressing the button on the umbrella handle, and is very convenient and popular for use. The ribs of an automatic opening and closing multi-folding umbrella are usually made into 3-5 folds, the ribs are movably connected together by adopting parts such as rivets, and the structure of a group of radial rib units of a common three-folding umbrella is shown in figure 1 and comprises the following components: first rib 91, second rib 92 and the third rib 93 that from inside to outside connect gradually, the outer end articulates in inferior bone 94 at first rib 91 middle part, connects the connecting rod 95 of inferior bone 94 and second rib 92, connects the pull rod 96 of first rib 91 and third rib 93. The inner ends of the first rib 91 and the secondary rib 94 are respectively connected with the upper nest and the lower nest of the umbrella, the outer end of the first rib 91 and the outer end of the connecting rod 95 are respectively connected with the inner end of the second rib 92, the pull rod 96 is positioned above the second rib 92, and the connecting point of the second rib 92 and the third rib 93 is positioned outside the connecting point of the pull rod 96 and the third rib 93. When the existing multi-folding umbrella rib is unfolded, the unfolding size is shown as a dotted line in fig. 1, a part of the length of the inner end of the third umbrella rib 92 cannot be fully utilized as the radial supporting length of the umbrella frame unit when the umbrella is unfolded, in order to ensure the enough unfolding size, the size of each section of the umbrella rib is longer, and the length of the folded umbrella is still longer.

In addition, in order to prevent the accident that the middle rod rebounds to hurt people due to the fact that the hand is inadvertently loosened during the process of compressing the middle rod, a safety device is also generally installed in the umbrella handle of the automatic opening and closing umbrella, and the safety device generally comprises: the winding wheel, ratchet wheel and spring fixed on the rotating shaft of the winding wheel, and the clamping piece for clamping the ratchet wheel to prevent reverse rotation when the middle rod is compressed. In addition, the inner cavity of the middle rod is provided with a safety pull wire, the top of the safety pull wire is connected with the top of the middle rod or the safety pull wire of the upper nest, and the bottom of the safety pull wire is connected with the reel. Detailed Description

The following detailed description is to be read with reference to the best mode embodiment as shown in the drawings.

The present embodiment is described by taking as an example an automatically opening and closing multi-fold umbrella in which the most common ribs are three-folded and which has a safety device for preventing the rebound during the compression of the central rod. The working principle of the opening and closing control device for controlling the opening and closing of the umbrella and the safety device for preventing the rebound in the middle rod compression process are the prior art, and the automatic opening and closing control device of the multi-folding umbrella with the safety structure as disclosed in the Chinese invention patent with the publication number of CN103070530B is described, so that only the improvement part of the opening and closing control device and the safety device related to the invention is described below.

For convenience of description, the direction close to the umbrella nest body or the umbrella middle rod is defined as the inner side, and the direction far away from the umbrella nest body or the umbrella middle rod is defined as the outer side.

As shown in fig. 2, 3 and 4, the automatic opening and closing multi-fold umbrella with a short umbrella closing length of the present invention comprises: the umbrella comprises a middle rod 1, an upper nest 21 fixed at the top of the middle rod 1, a lower nest 22 sleeved on the middle rod 1 in a sliding manner, an umbrella handle 3 arranged at the bottom of the middle rod 1, and umbrella ribs 4 connected with the upper nest 21 and the lower nest 22.

The middle rod 1 is formed by sequentially slidably sleeving a plurality of pipe fittings from outside to inside, and in the embodiment, the middle rod 1 comprises an outer pipe 11, a middle pipe 12 and an inner pipe 13. The outer pipe 11 is sleeved on the outermost layer, and the top of the outer pipe is connected with the upper nest 21; the inner pipe 13 is sleeved on the innermost layer, and the bottom of the inner pipe is connected with the umbrella handle 3.

As shown in fig. 7, the handle 3 includes: the umbrella comprises a shell 31, an inner seat 32 arranged in the inner cavity of the shell 31, an opening and closing control device for controlling the opening and closing of the umbrella and a safety device for preventing the middle rod from rebounding in the folding process.

One of the improvements of the present invention is directed to a connection structure of an umbrella rib 4, as shown in fig. 3, the umbrella rib 4 comprising: a first rib 41, a second rib 42, a third rib 43, a secondary rib 44, a connecting rod 45 and a pull rod 46 which are connected in sequence from inside to outside. The outer side of the secondary rib 44 is hinged to the middle of the first rib 41, the inner side of the secondary rib 44 and the inner side of the first rib 41 are respectively connected with the upper nest 21 and the lower nest 22 of the umbrella, and the included angle between the first rib 41 and the secondary rib 44 can be changed by the up-and-down movement of the lower nest 22 along the umbrella middle rod, so that the whole umbrella framework is driven to be unfolded or folded to open and close the umbrella. Both ends of the connecting rod 45 are respectively connected with the secondary rib 44 and the second rib 42, and both ends of the pull rod 46 are respectively connected with the first rib 41 and the third rib 43.

As shown in fig. 3, the umbrella frame 4 of the present invention is characterized in that: the outer end of the first rib 41 extends outwards along the connection point a with the second rib 42, the pull rod 46 is located below the second rib 42, the connection point B between the inner end of the pull rod 46 and the first rib 41 is located outside the connection point a between the first rib 41 and the second rib 42, and the connection point D between the outer end of the pull rod 46 and the third rib 43 is located outside the connection point C between the second rib 42 and the third rib 43.

Preferably, the connection point B is located near the outermost end of the first rib 41 and the innermost end of the tie bar 46, and the connection point C is located near the outermost end of the second rib 42 and the innermost end of the third rib 43.

After the umbrella ribs adopt the connecting structure, the extending length of the multi-fold umbrella ribs after opening is shown as a dotted line in fig. 4, the size of the end part joint at the inner end of the third umbrella rib is fully utilized, and under the condition of the same folding length L1 of the umbrella as shown in fig. 2, the effective opening size L2 shown in fig. 4 is increased by about 2 cm compared with the traditional three-fold umbrella. That is to say, under the condition of the same effective umbrella opening size, the length of the folded umbrella ribs is shorter than that of the traditional folding umbrella, and the umbrella is more convenient to carry.

In order to reduce the weight of the multi-fold umbrella rib, the first umbrella rib 41 and the second umbrella rib 44 are preferably made of aluminum alloy channel rib, and as shown in fig. 6, the second umbrella rib 42 may be made of glass fiber or engineering plastic material, and a plurality of hollow holes 421 are formed along the length direction. Of course, if the weight is not considered, the first rib 41 and the second rib 44 may be other metal channel ribs or round ribs.

Since the outermost end of the first rib 41 crosses the connection point a of the first rib 41 and the second rib 42, the structure of the connection point of the first rib 41 and the second rib 42 is slightly different from that of the conventional multi-fold umbrella, in one embodiment, as shown in fig. 5, the inner side of the second rib 42 is provided with a long hole 422 extending along the length direction thereof, the outer end of the first rib 41 passes through the long hole 422, the connection point a is located approximately in the middle of the long hole 422 so that the two ribs can smoothly rotate relative to each other, and in addition, the long hole 422 is designed to reduce the weight of the second rib 42. In another embodiment, the inner side of second rib 42 can also be hinged to the side of first rib 41 (not shown in the figures). Of course, the connection structure of the first rib 41 and the second rib 42 is not limited to the above embodiment.

Another improvement of the present invention is directed to the structure of the opening and closing control and safety device in the handle 3.

As shown in fig. 7, the opening and closing control device includes: a button 331, a control tube 332 for inserting the bullet 7, a umbrella closing locking device 333 for locking the outer tube or the lower nest when the umbrella is closed, a bullet locking piece 334 for locking the bullet in the control tube 332, and a sliding press button 335 capable of sliding up and down along the axial direction of the stick in the umbrella.

The improvement of the opening and closing control device of the present invention is that the sliding press buckle 335 adopts a sliding rail type structure to realize the up-and-down sliding. As shown in fig. 8 and 9, a sliding groove 3351 is provided on the sliding buckle 335, a vertical sliding rail 3311 is convexly provided on the button 331, and the sliding rail 3311 is embedded in the sliding groove 3351 of the sliding buckle 335, so that the sliding buckle 335 can slide up and down along the sliding rail 3311. The sliding rail type sliding structure enables the up-and-down sliding action of the sliding press buckle 335 to be smooth, and can avoid the problems that the traditional structure that the inserting column is arranged in the middle of the sliding press buckle and inserted into the spring is prone to side deviation and unsmooth sliding in the sliding process.

In this embodiment, as shown in fig. 10, the button 331 includes a button body 3312 and a pressing portion 3313 mounted on a front surface of the button body 3312, a through hole 311 is formed on a front portion of the housing 31 for the pressing portion 3313 to be exposed, and the pressing portion 3313 can be pressed to drive the button body 3312 at a rear portion thereof to move backward. The button body 3312 has a substantially square window 3314 formed in the middle of the front wall thereof, and the slide rails 3311 have two rails which are respectively protruded from the left and right sidewalls of the window 3314. The two slide rails 3311 do not extend to the bottom, and the distance from the bottom of the slide rail 3311 to the bottom of the left and right side walls of the window opening 3314 is greater than the thickness of the front portion of the slide fastener 335. As shown in fig. 9, two sliding grooves 3351 are respectively provided and are respectively located at the left and right sides of the front portion of the sliding buckle 335.

As shown in fig. 9 and 10, a positioning boss 3315 is disposed at the bottom of the window hole 3314, a concave hole 3352 is disposed at a position corresponding to the positioning boss 3315 and perpendicular to the bottom surface of the front portion of the sliding buckle 335, and a spring 336 is disposed between the positioning boss 3315 and the concave hole 3352 and generates an upward pushing force on the sliding buckle 335. In order to save the space for installing the spring 336, as shown in fig. 10, a concave portion is formed at the bottom of the window hole 3314, and the positioning boss 3315 is formed at the middle of the concave portion.

During assembly, the front part of the sliding buckle 335 is inserted into the window 3314 from the space below the sliding rail 3311 at the bottom of the window 3314, so that the sliding rail 3311 corresponds to the sliding groove 3351 up and down, then the sliding buckle 335 is moved up to fit the sliding rail 3311 and the sliding groove 3351 in an embedded manner, and finally, as shown in fig. 8, the spring 336 is installed between the positioning boss 3315 and the concave hole 3352, so as to complete the assembly of the sliding buckle 335.

The working principle of the automatic opening and closing umbrella is the prior art, and the structure of the handle part related to the invention is described below.

As shown in fig. 9, the top of the button body 3312 is substantially annularly fitted around the umbrella stick 1, as shown in fig. 14, horizontal grooves 326 are formed on the left and right side walls of the upper cavity of the inner holder 32, and both sides of the annular portion of the top of the button body 3312 are fitted in the horizontal grooves 326 so that the button body 3312 can horizontally slide back and forth. The umbrella locking means 333 may be a protrusion provided on the inner wall of the rear of the top of the button body 3312, the top of the protrusion 333 being provided with a guide slope, and a compression spring 3331 provided at the rear of the protrusion 333 to be pushed forward by the button body 3312. The bullet head fastener 334 is substantially E-shaped, and has two top rods 3341 extending horizontally forward and an inserting rod 3342 located between the two top rods 3341, the control tube 332 is located between the two top rods 3341, the inserting rod 3342 can pass through a through hole formed in the side wall of the control tube 332 and be inserted into the inner cavity of the control tube 332, and a compression spring 3343 is installed at the rear of the bullet head fastener 334 to push the bullet head fastener 334 forward. The sliding buckle 335 is provided with a horizontal U-shaped member 3353 extending backwards at the upper part and a pressing block 3354 extending backwards at the lower part, and the umbrella middle rod is inserted into the horizontal U-shaped member 3353.

In the umbrella folding state, as shown in fig. 11, the umbrella stick 1 is folded, wherein the outer tube at the outermost layer is inserted into the inner cavity of the umbrella handle, the outer tube pushes the protrusion 333 back and continues to move down by pressing down the guiding slope at the top of the protrusion 333 until the protrusion 333 is clamped forward into the buckling through hole formed in the side wall of the umbrella stick under the action of the compression spring 3331, and at this time, the umbrella stick 1 is locked in the umbrella folding state. At the same time, the outer tube of the stick 1 of the umbrella presses down the horizontal U-shaped member 3353 to move the slide fastener 335 downward, and the pressing piece 3354 moves downward accordingly to be offset from the two push rods 3341 of the bullet-nose fastener 334. At this time, the bullet 7 is positioned in the control tube 332 (the control tube is not shown in fig. 11), and the insertion rod 3342 at the center of the bullet catch 334 is inserted forward into the control tube 332 by the compression spring 3343 to lock the bullet 7 in the control tube 332.

When the button 331 is pressed for the first time in the umbrella folding state, as shown in fig. 12, the button 331 drives the protrusion 333 to move backwards and exit from the snap through hole of the side wall of the umbrella middle rod, the umbrella middle rod 1 is released and extends under the action of the umbrella opening spring 8 arranged in the inner cavity of the umbrella middle rod, the outer tube of the umbrella middle rod rises upwards, the sliding press buckle 335 loses the pressing of the middle rod outer tube and moves upwards under the action of the spring 336 until the press block 3354 at the lower part of the umbrella middle rod outer tube horizontally faces to the position of the push rod 3341, and the umbrella lower nest is pulled upwards by the guy cable 6 to open the umbrella ribs to realize the umbrella opening action.

When the button 331 is pressed for the second time, as shown in fig. 13, the button 331 drives the sliding button 335 to move backward, the pressing block 3354 of the sliding button 335 pushes the prop 3341 to move backward, the rod 3342 at the middle of the bullet catch 334 retreats from the control tube 332 (not shown in fig. 13) to release the locking of the bullet 7, the bullet 7 is separated from the control tube 332 and moves upward under the pulling force of the pulling cable 6, as shown in fig. 3, the ribs 4 will be folded under the action of the umbrella folding spring 47 after the umbrella runner 22 loses the pulling force of the pulling cable 6. At this time, the middle rod is compressed again until the outer tube is pressed into the inner cavity of the umbrella handle, and the bullet head 7 is pressed into the control tube 332 again to form the umbrella-closing state shown in fig. 2 and 11.

As shown in fig. 13 and 14, the safety device includes: a reel 341 for winding the safety wire 5, a ratchet 342 and a spring 343 fixed to a rotation shaft of the reel 341, and a locking member 344 for locking the ratchet 342 to prevent reverse rotation when the middle rod is compressed. The ratchet 342 is mounted on one side of the reel 341 and the spring 343 is mounted on the other side of the reel 341. The top of the locking member 344 is rotatably connected to the inner seat 32, and a horizontal cantilever 3441 is provided on the upper portion of the locking member, the horizontal cantilever 3441 extends to the lower portion of the control tube 332, and a spring 345 urges the lower swing of the locking member 344 to approach the ratchet gear 342.

In the umbrella-closing state as shown in fig. 11, the bullet head 7 is locked in the control tube 332, and the bottom of the bullet head 7 pushes the horizontal cantilever 3441 of the locking member 344 downwards so that the downward swing of the locking member 344 moves outwards away from the ratchet 342, and the safety wire 5 is wound on the reel 341.

In the state that the button 331 is pressed for the first time as shown in fig. 12, the bullet head 7 is still locked in the control tube 332, the blocking member 344 swings down away from the ratchet 342, the ratchet 342 can rotate freely, the middle rod 1 is stretched upward, the reel 341 can rotate reversely to pull out the safety wire 5 wound thereon since one end of the safety wire 5 is fixed to the top of the middle rod or the upper nest, and the spring 343 is wound up due to reverse rotation to accumulate the elastic force of the recoil.

In the state that the button 331 is pressed for the second time as shown in fig. 13, the bullet head 7 is released from the control tube 332, the horizontal cantilever 3441 loses the downward pushing force of the bullet head 7, the locking member 344 swings downward and abuts against the ratchet 342 under the action of the spring 345, the ratchet 342 can only rotate in the forward direction but cannot rotate in the reverse direction, and when the middle rod is compressed, the reel 341 rotates in the forward direction to wind the safety wire 5 under the action of the spring force of the forward rewinding spring 343. Even if the middle rod is stopped being compressed halfway, the reel 341 cannot rotate reversely to pay out the safety wire 5 because of the catching action of the catching piece 344 to the ratchet gear 342, so that the occurrence of the situation in which the middle rod 1 is suddenly rebounded during the compression process can be prevented.

The working principle of the safety device is also the prior art, and the structural improvement of the safety device is explained below.

As shown in fig. 14 and 17, the safety device is installed in the lower chamber of the inner seat 32, a partition 321 is provided at the top of the lower chamber of the inner seat 32, a bottom plate 323 is provided at the bottom of the lower chamber, a through hole 325 for the safety wire 5 to pass through is opened at the partition 321, a top notch 322 is opened at a position corresponding to the spiral spring 343 at the partition 321, and a bottom notch 324 is opened at a position corresponding to the spiral spring 343 at the bottom plate 323. Thus, the spring 343 can enter the crown notch 322 and the sole notch 324, and the height of the lower chamber of the inner holder 32 can be made small even if the radial dimension of the spring is large.

Further, as shown in fig. 15 and 16, the spool 3411 of the reel 341 has a larger diameter on one side and a smaller diameter on the other side corresponding to the position where the safety wire 5 is coming from (i.e., the through hole 325 of the partition 321), so that when the safety wire 5 is wound by compressing the plunger, the safety wire 5 is wound around the spool 3411 first on the side where the diameter is smaller, and thus the safety wire 5 is wound around the spool 3411 more dispersedly without causing the wire to be wound around a certain portion intensively and occupying a large space.

After the safety device adopts the improved structure, the height of the lower cavity of the inner seat 32 can be made smaller, so that the length of the umbrella handle can be reduced.

As shown in fig. 15, in cooperation with the structural improvement of the bobbin 3411, the bobbin 3411 is provided with a knot storage hole 3412 at one side having a larger diameter and a guide groove 3413 extending from an end of the bobbin 3411 along a circumferential direction of the knot storage hole 3412, and the safety wire 5 is led out from the knot storage hole 3412, wound around the bobbin 3411 along the guide groove 3413 and then wound around the bobbin 3411 at the side having a smaller diameter, so that the knot of the safety wire 5 can be prevented from being pulled out from the knot storage hole 3412.

In addition, the invention further improves the outer pipe structure of the middle rod 1.

As shown in fig. 18 to 20, the outer tube of the stick of the folding umbrella of the present invention includes an outer tube main body 111 and a plastic sleeve 112, wherein the outer tube main body 111 is usually made of metal, and a light aluminum material can be used to reduce the weight of the umbrella, the plastic sleeve 112 is sleeved outside the bottom of the outer tube main body 111, and only the upper section of the plastic sleeve 112 contacts with the outer tube main body 111. The side wall of the lower part of the plastic sleeve 112 is provided with a connecting port 113 for locking the middle rod by buckling with an umbrella closing locking device 333 in the umbrella handle in the umbrella closing state.

For the automatic umbrella with the umbrella opening spring 8 arranged in the inner cavity of the middle rod 1, when the umbrella is in an umbrella closing state, the outer pipe main body 111 has a tendency of popping upwards under the action of the umbrella opening spring 8, and the bottom of the connecting port 113 is impacted and extruded to cause faster abrasion of the bottom of the connecting port 113, so that the plastic sleeve 112 is provided with the boss 114 protruding outwards at the bottom of the connecting port 113, and the boss 114 can slow down the abrasion speed of the bottom of the connecting port 113 and prolong the service life; on the other hand, the contact area (buckling area) between the plastic sleeve 112 and the umbrella-closing locking device, namely the protrusion 333, in the umbrella handle can be increased, and the connection strength of the buckling part between the plastic sleeve 112 and the umbrella-closing locking device 333 can also be increased.

As shown in fig. 20, the upper section of the inner hole of the plastic sleeve 112 has a larger transverse dimension than the lower section, a horizontal step surface 115 is formed at the joint of the upper and lower sections, the bottom end surface of the outer tube body 111 is supported on the step surface 115, and the transverse dimension of the inner hole of the lower section of the plastic sleeve 112 is slightly smaller than the transverse dimension of the inner hole of the outer tube body 111, so that the inner tube only makes frictional contact with the plastic sleeve 112 in the outer tube structure during the extension or folding process of the middle rod, and the surface of the inner tube is not easily scratched because the plastic material is softer than the outer tube body made of metal.

In this embodiment, a pair of through holes is disposed on the sidewall of the bottom of the outer tube body 111, and the inner wall of the plastic sleeve 112 is disposed with a convex pillar 116 at a corresponding position, so that the outer tube body 111 and the plastic sleeve 112 can be fixed together by embedding the convex pillar 116 into the through hole of the sidewall of the outer tube body 111. The plastic sleeve 112 can be formed at the bottom of the outer tube body 111 through an injection molding process, and the convex column 116 is formed by infiltrating a molten plastic material into a through hole in the side wall of the outer tube body 111.

Here, the transverse dimension between the two convex columns 116 is smaller than the transverse dimension of the inner hole of the outer tube main body 111, so that the contact between the inner wall of the outer tube main body 111 and the inner-layer tube can be further avoided, the outer end face of each convex column 116 is designed to be a convex arc face, and the friction damage to the outer wall of the inner-layer tube can be further reduced.

In a preferred embodiment, engineering plastics with high strength is used as the material for manufacturing the plastic sleeve, which is easier to process, has high production efficiency and simple procedure compared with metal materials. In addition, the engineering plastic has high strength and outstanding antifriction and wear resistance, so that on one hand, the strength of the connecting hole is high enough and the outer pipe is not easy to damage when being buckled with the umbrella handle; on the other hand, when the umbrella middle rod is extended or folded, the relative movement between the plastic sleeve and the inner pipe fitting can not scratch the outer wall of the inner pipe fitting.

The above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention and is not intended to limit the present invention, and various modifications and changes may be made by those skilled in the art. Any modification, equivalent replacement, or improvement made within the spirit and principle of the present invention should be included in the protection scope of the present invention.
