Background

At present, in order to prevent the sand production of oil and gas wells from causing equipment damage and production reduction, screen pipe sand control is mostly adopted in the oil and gas exploitation process of the petroleum industry. Single joint screen lengths are typically 7-12 meters.

The metal sieve tube needs to ensure the deformation resistance, has low bending property and is not suitable for the operation in the bending sections of the horizontal well with medium and small curvature radius and the well with large slope. When the metal screen pipe is forcibly arranged on the bending section of the well condition, the screen pipe can be damaged under the condition that the well wall extrudes the outer wall of the screen pipe for a long time, so that the risk of sand control failure is caused.
