Technical Field

The present invention relates to an electric household appliance and a method for an electric household appliance.

Background

Electrical household appliances, such as in particular washing machines, but also washing dryers or rinsing machines, can be remotely managed (that is to say remotely controlled) by using communication devices, such as mobile phones, tablets or the like. Here, different actions (aktonen) may be performed, for example: starting a cleaning program effective on the electric household appliance, or switching off the electric household appliance.

It can be provided on the basis of safety requirements that remote control of the electric household appliance, in particular of the washing machine, is only possible when further actions are performed locally (lokal) after the door of the electric household appliance is closed. Here, locally means: the action is performed on the spot, i.e. at the electric household appliance itself. Such further local actions may be: for example, manual switching on of the electric household appliance, or the start of a cleaning program. Furthermore, it is often necessary to locally activate a remote control device of the electric household appliance, for example, by actuating corresponding keys on an operating field of the electric household appliance in order to allow remote control of the electric household appliance. If the remote management device is forgotten to be activated, the electrical household appliance cannot be remotely controlled (i.e. for example the cleaning program cannot be started or terminated). The possibility of "remotely" monitoring the operation of the electric household appliance (for example, by means of a smartphone to query the state of the electric household appliance, in particular the state of program operation) can be provided independently of whether the above-described requirements for remote control of the electric household appliance are met.

Disclosure of Invention

The object of the present invention is to provide an improved design for an electric household appliance.

This object is achieved by the subject matter having the features according to the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments are the subject matter of the dependent claims, the description and the drawings.

According to a first aspect, the object is achieved according to the invention by an electric household appliance having: a communication interface configured to communicate with a communication device via a communication connection; a remote management device configured to enable an operation of the electric home appliance through the communication apparatus; a door configured to open a region of the electric home appliance in an open state or close the region in a closed state; a monitoring device configured to detect a condition of the door; a control device configured to: the remote management device is automatically activated when the door is in the closed state and the electric household appliance achieves local activation.

This achieves the technical advantage that: the activation of the Remote control device (for example, a so-called Remote Start permit, RSA for short) can be effected automatically by local activation of the electric household appliance. By activation of the remote management device, the user can access the electric household appliance via the communication device in order to perform certain processes, such as: initiating a program implemented on the electric household appliance even if the user has forgotten to activate the remote management device locally. At the same time, a high safety standard, for example meeting the specification IEC60335-2-7 clause 20.106, is ensured by checking the state of the door and by the user performing further local actions on the electric household appliance (i.e. local activation of the electric household appliance).

When the electric household appliance has been activated (angelaltet), the user can use the remote management function and start the program, for example, from a distance. This makes it possible to dispense with additional operating elements (for example, keys for activating the remote management device).

The remote management device can realize remote management, and here, it is: turning off the electric home appliance; start, pause, or terminate the program; and the like. Furthermore, the electrical household appliance can be designed to: it is possible to monitor the operation of an electrical household appliance "remotely" for a communication device, for example: the state (in particular the program running) of the electric household appliance is queried, to be precise, whether this is in the closed state of the door and whether the local activation of the electric household appliance is completed.

The monitoring device may be integrated into the control device. The control device may be a central control device (or a program control device) of an electric household appliance.

If the electric home appliance is turned off or placed in a standby state, a melody may be sounded. Further actions, such as the activation of a remote management device or the start of a program, can likewise be indicated by an acoustic sound, in particular by a melody with a characteristic. The described functions can also be implemented on electrical household appliances without a communication interface, where there is no function, but no restriction in use (i.e., downward compatibility).

In one embodiment, the electric household appliance is a laundry care appliance, in particular a washing machine or a washer-dryer, or a washer-washer.

This achieves the technical advantage that: in a corresponding electric household appliance, remote management can be ergonomically and operationally safe for the user.

In one embodiment, the communication interface comprises a mobile radio interface and/or a WLAN interface and/or a LAN interface.

This achieves the technical advantage that: capable of providing communication with the internet and/or a mobile wireless network.

In one embodiment, the remote management device is configured to enable: initiation of a program of an electric household appliance; interruption or termination of a program of the electric household appliance; a change in an operating parameter of a program of the electric home appliance (e.g., an operating temperature, a number of centrifugal dehydrations, and the like); selection of other programs of the electric household appliance; and/or deactivation of the electric household appliance.

This achieves the technical advantage that: the user can switch on and off (or pause) the electric home appliance from a remote place. This can improve safety, but can also improve the sense of safety of the user.

In one embodiment, the monitoring device comprises a sensor which is arranged on a lock device (Schloss) of the door and detects whether the door is in a closed state or in an open state.

This achieves the technical advantage that: it can be detected whether the door is reliably closed, that is, whether the lock device of the door is locked and the door is reliably locked.

In one embodiment, the local activation comprises an activation of the electrical domestic appliance, in which case an operating voltage is applied to the control device or the electrical domestic appliance is switched from a standby state (or energy saving mode) into an operating state. In one embodiment, the monitoring device is configured to: the state of the door is also detected in this standby state. This achieves that: when the electric household appliance is switched on (i.e. an operating voltage is applied to the control device or the electric household appliance is switched from a standby state into an operating state), the remote management function is automatically activated if the door is in the closed state.

This achieves the technical advantage that: the remote management device is automatically activated when the domestic appliance is switched on with the door closed. Thereby making it impossible for the user to forget to activate the remote management apparatus.

In one embodiment, the local activation comprises a start of a program on the electrical household appliance.

This achieves the technical advantage that: the remote management device is automatically activated when the program of the electrical household appliance is switched on with the door closed. Therefore, the user is unlikely to forget to activate the remote management apparatus. For example, in this case, the electric household appliance can be operated with the door open, for example: an operating voltage is applied or the electric household appliance is switched from a standby state to an operating state. The remote management device is then automatically activated if a program (in particular a laundry care program or a rinsing program) is started with the door closed.

In one embodiment, the control device is configured to: as long as the door is in the open state, activation of the program is inhibited.

In this case, the program can be started locally on the electric household appliance. This achieves the technical advantage that: it can be ensured that the user has finished the process that is critical to safety (here the closing of the door). That is, the requirement of the further second process other than the program start is satisfied. The user can then remotely manage the electric household appliance via the communication interface (i.e. pause, terminate or restart the program).

In one embodiment, the control device is configured to: when the electric home appliance is turned on and the door is opened, the electric home appliance is turned off or placed in a standby state.

Generally, users use electric home appliances having different usage courses. For example, the electric household appliance is first switched on, then the door is opened, then loaded, then the door is closed again, then the remote management is activated and then remotely started. In a further example, the door is first opened, then the electric household appliance is loaded, then the door is closed, then the electric household appliance is switched on, then the remote management is activated and then remotely started. By means of the control device closing the electric household appliance or putting it in a standby state when the door is open, the user is forced to always close the door before the electric household appliance is operated. Thus, activities that are critical for safety may be enforced locally before the electric household appliance is switched on. That is, remote management allows and can always be automatically activated. The switching on of the electric household appliance is not forgotten by the user as frequently as the activation of the remote management. That is to say, the switching on of the electrical domestic appliance and the activation of the remote control can be combined on an operating element (in particular a switch button).

This achieves the technical advantage that: the user is forced to activate the electric household appliance with only the closed door. This always ensures that: the user local action is already performed by the closing of the door and the remote management device is also able and allowed to be activated, as far as the above-mentioned safety-technical premises are concerned.

In the case of an electric household appliance which is switched off during the running of the program, in particular in the case of a reloading of the electric household appliance, the program position can be marked when, for example, during a laundry care program the door is opened in order to load further laundry, and the program continues at that position which has been interrupted after switching on when the door is opened.

In one embodiment, the control device is configured to: if the remote management device is active and the monitoring device detects that the door is in an open state, the remote management device is deactivated (deassertivieren).

This achieves the technical advantage that: although the remote management device can be automatically activated, the high security standard remains unchanged. If the remote management device is first automatically activated, the remote management device may be deactivated to ensure the presence of the necessary security premises if the door is subsequently opened.

In one embodiment, the control device is configured to: as long as the door is in the open state, local activation of the electric household appliance is inhibited.

This achieves the technical advantage that: as long as the door is opened, the user is not able to switch on (that is to say is not able to activate) the appliance. It can thus be provided in advance that the electric household appliance can only be activated when the door is closed, for example, by actuating a switch button, which can then always be activated automatically by the control device.

In one embodiment, the monitoring device is configured to: the door is monitored during a standby state of the electric household appliance.

This achieves the technical advantage that: the switching off of the remote control device, in particular the emergency switching off, can also take place when no operating voltage is applied to the electric household appliance. Furthermore, the monitoring of the door by the monitoring device and the described functions of activation and deactivation of the remote management device can also be carried out in further energy saving modes (or energy saving states), for example: network standby (in which network communication is still possible), low power mode (which is particularly energy efficient), regular standby, off mode (in which only minimal monitoring of functionality is performed), and the like. This network standby mode can be automatically adopted. In this case, the remote management device may remain active during the network standby mode.

If the user turns off the electric home appliance, the network standby mode is adopted in a visible or invisible manner to the user. The switching on of the electric household appliance (i.e. the application of the operating voltage) may comprise the electric household appliance being started from an off state or else from an arbitrary standby state.

The remote management device may be deactivated if the monitoring device fails to detect the status of the door and/or the door is not closed.

In the event of a current interruption, if the state of the door cannot be detected, the activation of the remote management device can be prevented if the operating voltage is reapplied to the electrical household appliance. According to one embodiment, after the current interruption, the remote management device is activated only when the door is closed during and after the current interruption.

In one embodiment, the remote management device is configured to: the communication device is provided with a point in time of the last activation of the electric household appliance and/or a point in time of the last closing of the door.

This achieves the technical advantage that: the user can monitor: corresponding last actionWhether from the user or an unauthorized third person has operated the electric household appliance.

According to a second aspect, the object is achieved according to the invention by a method for an electric household appliance having a communication interface, which is designed to communicate with a communication device via a communication connection, and a remote management device, which is designed to allow an operation of the electric household appliance by the communication device, comprising:

-monitoring a door of the electric household appliance by means of a monitoring device;

-detecting activation of the electric household appliance by the control device;

-activating the remote management device by the control device if it is detected that the door is in the closed state and activation of the electric household appliance has been detected.

This achieves the technical advantage that: the remote management device of the electric home appliance can be automatically and reliably activated.

In one embodiment, the method comprises: if the door is detected to be in the open state, the electric household appliance is switched off by the control device.

This achieves the technical advantage that: the user can perform a local manipulation of the door before the switching on of the electric household appliance.

Drawings

Embodiments of the present invention are shown in the drawings and described in more detail below. The figures show:

fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of an electric household appliance according to an embodiment; and

fig. 2 shows a flow chart for a method according to an embodiment.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows an electrical household appliance 100. The electric home appliance 100 is a washing machine. In further embodiments, the electric household appliance 100 is a washing dryer, a dishwasher or other household appliance.

The electric household appliance 100 has an operating region 101. The user can manually operate the electric household appliance 100 via the operating field 101. The operation area 101 includes a selection knob 103 and a display device 105. The display device 105 may include additional operating elements (e.g., a switch key, a start key, a pause key, and the like). In further embodiments, the operational possibilities can vary. In this case, some or all of the operating elements can be implemented electronically or manually (for example by means of a touch-sensitive display device).

The electric household appliance 100 has a control device 107. The control device 107 is used for: the internal process of the electric household appliance 100 is controlled and regulated (in particular the execution of a program which has been selected, for example, by the user by means of the selection knob 103). Furthermore, the control device 107 regulates, depending on the type and type of the electric household appliance 100, for example, the heating element for heating the washing liquid, the drum rotation of the laundry drum, and further functions.

The electric household appliance 100 has a door 109. The door 109 can be in an open state and a closed state. In the open state, a user can load items (for example laundry or dishes) into the electric household appliance 100. In the closed state, the electric household appliance 100 is locked, i.e., the user can no longer insert or remove anything into or from the electric household appliance 100.

The electric household appliance 100 has a sensor 111. Sensor 111 is coupled to the lock device of door 109. For example, the sensor 111 relates to such a switch (Schalter): the switch reverses (umgelegt) when the door 109 snaps into the lock arrangement or when the lock arrangement is opened. In further embodiments, the orientation angle of the door 109 (Anstellwinkel) is detected or the position of the handle of the door 109 (Stellung eines griffies) is detected or it is otherwise detected whether the door 109 is in the closed state.

The electric household appliance 100 has a monitoring device 113. The monitoring device 113 monitors the sensor 111. The monitoring device 113 may detect whether the door 109 is closed. In further embodiments, the sensor 111 may be integrated in the monitoring device 113, and/or the monitoring device 113 may be part of the control device 107. The monitoring device 113 and the sensor 111 may be relatively simply constructed to monitor the state of the door 109. For example, a conductive wire which conducts current when the door 109 is closed and does not conduct current when the door 109 is open can be used as the monitoring device 113 and/or the sensor 111 in the sense of the present invention.

The electrical household appliance 100 has a communication interface 115. The communication interface 115 may be a mobile radio interface or a WLAN interface, or support other wired or wireless communication standards.

The communication interface 115 is designed to: communicating with a communication device 117. The communication device 117 may be, for example, a cell phone. In further embodiments, other devices (e.g., tablet or laptop computers) that can exchange information via a communication standard are involved.

The communication interface 115 is electronically connected with the control device 107 so that the control device 107 can send information via the communication interface 115 and receive control signals from the communication interface 115.

The control device 107 includes a remote management device 119. The remote management device 119 is configured to: external (i.e. "remote") access to the electric household appliance 100 is granted. In other words, the remote management device 119 may enable or disable remote control of the electric home appliance 100. In a further embodiment, the remote management device 119 is not integrated in the control device 107, but is implemented separately (in particular as a microcontroller).

The control device 107 may activate the remote management device 119 to permit remote control of the electric home appliance 100, or may deactivate the remote management device 119 to disallow remote control.

When the door 109 is in the closed state and the electric household appliance 100 is switched on, the control device 107 may activate the remote management device 119. When the door 109 is in the closed state and the program is started, the control device 107 may activate the remote management device 119.

When the electric home appliance 100 is turned on and the door 109 is placed in the open state (that is, opened) and the monitoring device 113 does not monitor the closed state, the control device 107 may deactivate the remote management device 119.

The electrical household appliance 100 comprises a standby state in which the electrical household appliance 100 consumes less energy than in the activated operating state. However, in the standby state, the communication interface 115 continues to be supplied with power, so that communication via the communication interface 115 is enabled. In this standby state, the control device 107 and the monitoring device 113 are supplied with energy so that the remote management device 119 can be switched off if necessary in the event of a fault.

Furthermore, the control device 107 of the electrical domestic appliance 100 can be configured to: when the door 107 is opened in the operating state of the electric household appliance 100, the electric household appliance 100 is automatically switched off or placed in a standby state. In this standby state, for example, the display device 105 of the electrical domestic appliance 100 can be switched off or unlit, in order to make the user visually aware of: the electric home appliance 100 is in a standby state. This can ensure that: in order to activate the electric household appliance 100 (i.e. to switch on or to switch from the standby state to the operating state), the user not only needs to close the door 109 locally but also to actuate, for example, a switch button of the electric household appliance 100. Since the safety preconditions, as required, for example, according to the specification IEC60335-2-7 clause 20.106, are thereby met, in this embodiment the activation of the remote management device 119 can be coupled to the activation of the electric household appliance 100 (i.e. switched on or started from a standby state) in such a way that the activation of the electric household appliance 100 automatically activates the remote management device 119.

Fig. 2 shows a flow diagram 200 of a method according to an embodiment.

In step 201, the door 109 is monitored. The monitoring of the door 109 continues over the entire operating time of the electrical domestic appliance 100 and also includes various non-operating or standby states, such as network standby (network standby).

To monitor the door 109, the sensor 111 detects the state of the door 109 based on a closing mechanism (Schlie β mechanismius) of the door 109. In other embodiments, the state of the door 109 is detected in other ways. The monitoring device 113 interrogates the sensor 111 for the detected state of the door 109. Then, the monitoring device 113 transmits the state of the door 109 to the control device 107. In a further exemplary embodiment, the monitoring device 113 is integrated into the control device 107, i.e., the control device 107 assumes the function of the monitoring device 113.

In step 202, an action is detected. Here, a local manipulation of the electrical domestic appliance 100 by the user is detected as an action. The action may be the activation of the electric household appliance 100. In a further additional or alternative embodiment, this involves the start of a program. This action is detected by the control means 107. In a further embodiment, this action is detected by a further sensor and the detection result is provided to the control device 107.

In step 203, the remote control is activated. For this purpose, the remote management unit 119 is activated, so that the user can access the electric household appliance 100 via the communication device 117 and the communication interface 115. When the above mentioned conditions are fulfilled (i.e. when the door 109 is in the closed state and when an action takes place, in particular the electric household appliance 100 is switched on or a program is started), the remote management unit 119 is activated.

If the remote management unit 119 is activated, the closing of the electrical domestic appliance 100 is ensured in step 201 by monitoring the door 109. If it is recognized that the door 109 is no longer in the closed state, the remote management unit 119 is deactivated. In other embodiments, this deactivation is eliminated.

Furthermore, the control device 107 is configured to: the state of the remote management apparatus 119 is checked after the current interruption, and when the state of the door 109 cannot be detected, the remote management apparatus 119 is deactivated. In other embodiments, such deactivation may be eliminated.

The control device 107 is configured to: information such as the remaining duration of the program, the point in time of the last activation of the program, the point in time of the last closing of the door 109, the type of program and further information is provided via the communication interface 115.

The control device 107 is configured to: the remote management device 119 is deactivated when at least one of the following conditions is detected (more precisely by the control device 107 or the monitoring device 113): current interruption of the electric household appliance 100; local shutdown of the electrical household appliance 100 or of the remote management device 119; the occurrence of a fault from a predetermined fault list; the program is stopped; local interruption of the program of the electric household appliance.
