Background

As for absorbent articles (so-called disposable diapers), there are structures in which: a structure in which the absorber is built in the wearing body; alternatively, the absorbent body is detachably attached to the wearing body. In addition, in a structure in which the absorbent body is incorporated in the wearing body, there is also a structure in which the absorbent body can be further detachably attached.

As such an absorbent article, there is disclosed a structure in which: a plurality of slits are provided along the longitudinal direction of the absorber, and when worn, the absorbent article bends at the peripheral portions of the slits and deforms into a W shape in which the center in the width direction protrudes toward the skin surface side (see patent document 1).

Further, there is disclosed a structure in which a guide line for guiding the absorbent body so as to protrude toward the skin surface side is provided in the absorbent body, and the lower limit value of the stiffness (JIS L1085) of a portion not including the guide line or a portion including the guide line is defined, so that the absorbent body can be easily bent along the guide line (see patent document 2).

Disclosure of Invention

Problems to be solved by the invention

In the technique of patent document 2, the lower limit value of stiffness specified in JIS L1085 is specified so that the absorbent article is not bent at the portion other than the guide line and is easily bent along the guide line, but in order to numerically specify the bent portion of the absorbent article, it is required to be set based on a stiffness parameter more suitable for the actual stiffness.

The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object thereof is to provide an absorbent article main body and an absorbent article: the absorbent body can be bent in the width direction when worn to improve close fitting and provide a good wearing feeling.

Means for solving the problems

Detailed Description

Hereinafter, an absorbent article according to an embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. The embodiments described below are merely examples, and various modifications and technical applications that are not explicitly described in the embodiments below are not intended to be excluded. The respective configurations of the present embodiment can be variously modified and implemented without departing from the scope of these matters. Further, they can be selected as needed, or can be appropriately combined.

The absorbent article of the present embodiment is a sanitary product that is worn by a wearer and absorbs liquid such as urine or menstrual blood. Examples of the absorbent article include tape-type or pants-type paper diapers (so-called "disposable diapers"), diaper pads, sanitary napkins, and panty liners. In the following embodiments, a tape-type paper diaper is exemplified as the absorbent article.

In an absorbent article such as a "paper diaper (or a disposable diaper"), an absorbent body for absorbing liquid is attached to a wearing body for wearing on a wearer, but in the present embodiment, such a structure is exemplified: the absorbent body is previously incorporated in the wearing body, and the separate absorbent body can be attached to and detached from the wearing body.

In this way, the absorbent article needs a wearing body and an absorber, and the absorbent article is composed of the wearing body and the absorber.

In the present embodiment, a paper diaper for men is exemplified.

In the present embodiment, the longitudinal direction of the diaper is the direction connecting the front portion disposed facing the abdomen and the rear portion disposed facing the back of the wearer. The crotch portion disposed in the crotch of the wearer (disposed facing the crotch) is located between the front body portion (one side in the longitudinal direction) and the rear body portion (the other side in the longitudinal direction) (the center in the longitudinal direction). In a state where the diaper is worn on a wearer (hereinafter, simply referred to as a "worn state"), a side facing the skin of the wearer (an inner side in the worn state) is referred to as a skin surface side, and an opposite side to the skin surface side (an outer side in the worn state) is referred to as a non-skin surface side. The direction connecting the skin surface side and the non-skin surface side is the thickness direction, and the direction perpendicular to both the longitudinal direction and the thickness direction is the width direction. In addition, the thickness direction is taken as a plan view.

[ I. an embodiment ]

[1. paper diaper ]

[1-1. basic Structure ]

First, the basic structure of the disposable diaper 1 will be described with reference to fig. 1 to 3. The paper diaper 1 is formed to be symmetrical with respect to a center line C in the width direction. In fig. 3, the reference numerals indicating the width-direction center lines of the respective members are denoted by the reference numeral "C" as subscripts.

The paper diaper 1 is roughly divided into three regions, a front body portion 1A, a crotch portion 1B, and a rear body portion 1C, in the longitudinal direction.

In the diaper 1, a fastening tape 2 protruding in the width direction is provided on the rear body portion 1C, and a front patch 3 (shown by a broken line in fig. 1) is provided on the front body portion 1A at the position closest to the non-skin surface side. By fastening the fastening tape 2 to the front patch 3, the diaper 1 is worn on the wearer.

The width-directional dimension of the crotch portion 1B is set to be slightly larger than the dimension between the thighs of a typical wearer. Therefore, the crotch portion 1B sandwiched in the width direction is folded in the worn state. In this state, the fold extends in the longitudinal direction.

Next, referring to fig. 1 to 3, sheets constituting the paper diaper 1 will be described.

The paper diaper 1 is provided with: a wearing body 100 extending in the longitudinal direction over the front body portion 1A, the crotch portion 1B, and the rear body portion 1C; and an absorbent body 12 (shown in bold dashed lines in fig. 1). Fig. 1 to 3 illustrate such an absorber 12 in a plan view: the crotch portion 1B has a smaller width dimension than the front body portion 1A and the rear body portion 1C, i.e., both width-directional edge portions are cut out in the crotch portion 1B. However, the absorbent body 12 having a constant dimension in the width direction may be used. As described above, the portion of the diaper 1 from which the absorbent member 12 is removed is the wearing body 100.

The absorbent body 12 is a member that absorbs and retains liquid discharged from the wearer. The absorbent body 12 is in the form of a pad in this example, and therefore will be referred to as a "pad 12" in the following description, but the shape of the absorbent body is not limited to the pad shape, and various shapes known in the art can be employed.

For example, a structure in which a core, which is obtained by mixing a super absorbent resin (so-called SAP (super absorbent polymer), also called a super absorbent polymer or a super absorbent polymer), with a pulp (so-called fluff pulp) that is crushed or opened, is coated (wrapped) with a wrapping sheet (core-spun sheet) is used for the mat 12. Here, tissue paper is used for the wrapping sheet.

The pad 12 has various sheets as described below laminated on the skin surface side and the non-skin surface side.

On the skin surface side of the pad 12, the top sheet 11 is laminated as one of the skin surface side sheets so as to overlap a wide area of the pad 12 except for both side edge portions (ear portions) in the width direction. The topsheet 11 may also cover the entire area of the pad 12.

The top sheet 11 is disposed on the skin surface side of the diaper 1. The top sheet 11 has a property of transmitting liquid (liquid permeability) in order for the pad 12 to absorb liquid excreted from the wearer. The top sheet 11 covers the skin surface side of the pad 12.

The top sheet 11 and the pad 12 are provided with side sheets 10 as one of the skin-surface side sheets on the lateral sides in the width direction.

The side sheet 10 is disposed on the skin surface side of the diaper 1, similarly to the top sheet 11. In order to prevent leakage of excreted liquid, the side sheet 10 has a property of making liquid difficult to penetrate (hydrophobicity).

On the non-skin surface side of the pad 12, a back sheet (1 st non-skin surface side sheet) 13 is laminated on a side close to the pad 12 as one of the non-skin surface side sheets. On the non-skin surface side (the side farther from the pad 12) of the back sheet 13, a cover sheet (2 nd non-skin surface side sheet) 14 is laminated as one of the non-skin surface side sheets.

The back sheet 13 is liquid impermeable in order to prevent liquid leakage from the pad 12. The back sheet 13 covers the pad 12 from the non-skin surface side. For example, a thermoplastic resin sheet such as Polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) is used for the back sheet 13.

As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the cover sheet 14 is disposed on the side closest to the non-skin surface in the crotch portion 1B and the back portion 1C of the paper diaper 1. The cover sheet 14 is provided to reinforce the back sheet 13 and improve the touch (for example, the texture), and covers the back sheet 13 from the non-skin surface side.

The cover sheet 14 is not limited to a single-layer structure, and may have a multi-layer structure including an inner cover sheet and an outer cover sheet.

The pad 12 is disposed in addition to the two widthwise outer edges 1S of the diaper 1. That is, the pad 12 and the top sheet 11 are not disposed on both widthwise outer edges 1S of the diaper 1, and only the side sheet 10, the back sheet 13, and the cover sheet 14 are disposed so as to overlap. The back sheet 13 is not disposed on the outermost side of the two widthwise outer edges 1S, and only the side sheet 10 and the cover sheet 14 are disposed so as to overlap.

In this way, a portion where the top sheet 11 is stacked and arranged on the skin surface side of the pad 12 and the back sheet 13 and the cover sheet 14 are stacked and arranged on the non-skin surface side of the pad 12 (that is, a portion constituting the main body structure of the disposable diaper (absorbent article) 1 where the sheets 11, 13, and 14 are arranged on both surfaces of the pad 12) is used as the disposable diaper main body (absorbent article main body) 120.

Further, the side sheets 10, the back sheet 13, and the cover sheet 14 have respective widthwise edges cut out in the crotch portion 1B in the same shape as the widthwise edges of the pad 12 in a plan view. However, the pad 12 and the respective pieces 10, 13, and 14 are not limited to the shape dug out in this way, and may be rectangular. Both widthwise edges of the side sheet 10 and the cover sheet 14 extend to the outermost sides to form both widthwise edges of the diaper 1, and both widthwise edges of the top sheet 11 disposed so as to overlap the pad 12 in the thickness direction are located inward of both widthwise edges of the back sheet 13.

The front patch 3 is attached to the non-skin surface side of the cover sheet 14.

The front patch 3 is coupled to the fastening tape 2 by a fastening mechanism, and the fastening tapes 2 are provided at both ends of the back body portion 1C in the width direction. Fig. 1 to 3 illustrate the fastening tape 2 provided in two on both sides of the rear body portion 1C in the width direction. However, the number of the fastening tapes 2 is not limited as long as the fastening tapes are provided one at least on both sides in the width direction. These fastening bands 2 extend outward in the width direction from both edge portions 1S of the back body portion 1C. Also, the front patch is not essential, for example, as long as the cover sheet 14 is a material that catches the fastening tape.

In the present embodiment, as a fastening means for fastening both side portions of the back portion 1C to both side portions of the front portion 1A by joining the fastening tape 2 and the front patch 3, a planar fastener is used which fastens by mechanically joining hook members (male members) and loop members (female members).

The surface fastener is composed of a combination of a hook member having a plurality of protrusions (for example, a hook shape or a mushroom shape) formed on the surface thereof and an eye member having an annular fiber arranged on the surface thereof. That is, hook members are provided on either one of the fastening tape 2 and the front patch 3, and loop members are provided on the other. By using the planar fastener, the hook member and the loop member can be separated from each other, and can be firmly fixed and attached, and can be repeatedly used.

However, an adhesive tape, or the like may be used for the fastening mechanism.

[1-2. detailed Structure ]

Next, the detailed structure of the disposable diaper 1 will be described with reference to fig. 1 to 3.

Here, a structure for bending and holding the crotch portion 1B in a predetermined shape in a worn state (hereinafter referred to as "bending and holding structure") will be described. Further, since the wearer's comfort is reduced by irregular bending or twisting of the crotch portion 1B, the paper diaper 1 is provided with a bending holding structure in order to ensure the comfort of the wearer by bending the crotch portion 1B into a predetermined shape.

As this bending holding structure, an embossed portion 20 (groove-like portion, also simply referred to as embossing) is provided as a guide structure that guides the shape of the crotch portion 1B into a bent shape that forms a W-shaped cross-sectional shape. Further, an offset gather (support gather) 32 is provided for maintaining the shape of the lower crotch portion 1B bent into a predetermined shape. The pad 12 is provided with a structure for reliably bending the crotch portion 1B to a predetermined shape by the embossed portion 20.

In the paper diaper 1, leg gathers 31 and three-dimensional gathers 33 are provided together with the displacement preventing gathers 32. In the present embodiment, each of the pleats 31, 32, and 33 is provided along the longitudinal direction so as to be bilaterally symmetric with respect to the center line C in the width direction. The offset preventing gathers 32 are also referred to as inner gathers because they are respectively arranged on the center line C (on the inner side) in the width direction of the leg gathers 31.

In the paper diaper 1, the formation regions where the leg gathers 31, the shift-preventing gathers 32, and the three-dimensional gathers 33 are formed are referred to as a leg gather region 31A, a shift-preventing gather region 32A, and a three-dimensional gather region 33A. These gather regions 31A, 32A, and 33A are defined in the width direction and the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1, respectively.

As shown in fig. 2, waist gathers 34 are provided between the fastening tapes 2, 2 on both sides of the back portion 1C in the width direction.

Embossed section

The embossed portion 20 is at least a pair of (two) groove-like portions that extend in the longitudinal direction in the crotch portion 1B and are recessed. In the present embodiment, a pair of embossed portions 20 is provided. Further, the embossed portion 20 is not provided in the front body portion 1A and the back body portion 1C.

Here, the top sheet 11 and the pad 12 are provided with embossed portions 20. That is, the embossed section 20 is disposed on the skin surface side of the paper diaper 1. The embossed portion 20 may be provided at least on the pad 12, or may not be provided on the top sheet 11.

The embossed portion 20 can be provided in a recessed manner (embossed) by locally pressing (pressing) the pad 12 on which at least the top sheet 11 is laminated. In this case, the pad 12 provided with the embossed portion 20 is configured in a pressed (densified) state.

Further, by providing a water spraying step of spraying water to at least the embossed portion before the embossing, the fibers of the pulp constituting the mat 12 are easily temporarily bonded to each other due to the viscosity of water or surface tension, and the embossing is easily formed by the press working. The water spraying step is performed as follows: the water is sprayed onto the core of the pad 12 before the core is sandwiched by the lower and upper tissues. Then, the pad 12 formed by sandwiching the core with the thin paper is subjected to embossing processing for pressing a desired portion to form an embossed portion (groove) 20.

As shown in fig. 1 to 3, in the present embodiment, as an example of the embossed portion 20, a pair of two linear embossed portions 20 are exemplified, which are arranged in bilateral symmetry with respect to the center line C in the width direction and are parallel to each other. However, the embossed portion 20 is not limited to a linear embossing, and may be other curved linear embossing such as a wavy linear embossing or an arc-like linear embossing, as long as it is linearly extended (linear embossing) extending in the longitudinal direction.

In the present embodiment, the left and right embossed portions 20 are parallel to the center line C, but the left and right embossed portions 20 may have a shape that separates or approaches from one side to the other side in the longitudinal direction. As in the present embodiment, the embossed portions 20 may be provided in a number of 1 on each of the left and right sides, but may be provided in a number of plural on each of the left and right sides, and the number of the sides is not limited. Further, the embossed portions 20 may be provided in addition to the bilaterally symmetrical embossed portions 20, and three or more embossed portions 20 may be provided.

' leg pleat

Leg gathers 31 are provided to improve the following ability with respect to the legs of the wearer. The leg gathers 31 are provided in the width direction in regions (leg gather regions) 31A of both edge portions 1S on the outer sides in the width direction of the paper diaper 1. Leg gathers 31 are provided in the longitudinal direction: extends in the longitudinal direction over the entire crotch portion 1B, a portion of the front portion 1A near the crotch portion 1B, and a portion of the rear portion 1C near the crotch portion 1B. The leg gather regions 31A are provided in the crotch portion 1B in regions where the pad 12 is not disposed in both edge portions 1S on the outer sides in the width direction of the diaper 1, and are provided in the front body portion 1A and the back body portion 1C in the outer edge portions of the pad 12 or in regions adjacent to the pad 12.

Leg gathers 31 are formed as: the elastic member (1 st elastic member) 41 as a 1 st elastic member exerting a contraction force in the longitudinal direction contracts in the longitudinal direction and wrinkles. As shown by broken lines in fig. 1, the 1 st elastic member 41 is composed of 2 elastic threadlike bodies (1 st elastic threadlike body) 41a and 41 b. The 1 st elastic member 41 is disposed in the crotch portion 1B at both edge portions 1S of the diaper 1 in the width direction, and is disposed in the front body portion 1A and the rear body portion 1C at the outer edge portion of the pad 12 or in the region adjacent to the pad 12. In addition, the 1 st elastic member 41 is provided: the entire crotch portion 1B, a portion of the front portion 1A near the crotch portion 1B, and a portion of the rear portion 1C near the crotch portion 1B extend in the longitudinal direction.

Anti-deviation pleat

The offset preventing gather 32 is provided for the following purposes: in the worn state, the pad 12 is lifted and supported on the skin surface side, and the pad 12 is not displaced. The displacement preventing gathers 32 are provided in a region (displacement preventing gather region or inner gather region) 32A in the width direction, and the region 32A is disposed so as to correspond to the vicinity of both widthwise edges (near the edges) of the pad 12, on the inner side in the width direction than the leg gathers 31 and on the outer side in the width direction than the embossed portion 20. The displacement gather preventing region 32A is arranged in the longitudinal direction as follows: the crotch portion 1B extends in the longitudinal direction from a portion of the front portion 1A of the pad 12 near the crotch portion 1B to a portion of the rear portion 1C near the crotch portion 1B, centering on the crotch portion 1B.

The displacement gather preventing region 32A is disposed at a position overlapping the pad 12 in the thickness direction (in a plan view) in the region of the crotch portion 1B. Here, the longitudinal position of the displacement preventing gathers 32 is set inside the longitudinal region of the pad 12. While it is not essential to set the longitudinal position of the displacement preventing gathers 32 inside the region of the pad 12 as described above, it is preferable to dispose all of the displacement preventing gathers 32 at positions overlapping the pad 12. In this case, the migration preventing gathers 32 are included so as not to cover the entire longitudinal region of the pad 12, but the migration preventing gathers 32 are not wastefully applied to the pad 12. The arrangement of the displacement preventing gathers 32 is not limited to this, and at least a part of the displacement preventing gathers 32 may be arranged at a position overlapping the pad 12.

The offset preventing gather 32 is also formed as: the elastic member (2 nd elastic member) 42 as a 2 nd elastic member exerting a contraction force in the longitudinal direction contracts in the longitudinal direction and wrinkles. As shown by broken lines in fig. 1, the 2 nd elastic member 42 is composed of 3 threadlike elastic bodies (2 nd threadlike elastic body) 42a to 42c all arranged in the longitudinal direction.

The 2 nd elastic member 42 is disposed so as to correspond to the vicinity of both widthwise edges of the pad 12 on the widthwise inner side than the 1 st elastic member 41 of the leg gather 31 and on the widthwise outer side than the embossed portion 20 in the widthwise direction. The 2 nd elastic member 42 is arranged in the longitudinal direction as follows: the effective range (range in which the elastic force is exerted) extends in the longitudinal direction from a portion of the front portion 1A of the pad 12 near the crotch portion 1B to a portion of the rear portion 1C near the crotch portion 1B, centered on the crotch portion 1B.

Of course, the effective range of the 2 nd elastic member 42 in the longitudinal direction also corresponds to the displacement preventing gather 32, and the effective range of the 2 nd elastic member 42 in the longitudinal direction is located inside the longitudinal range of the pad 12. Although it is not essential that the effective range of the 2 nd elastic member 42 is located inside the longitudinal range of the pad 12, it is preferable that the effective range of the 2 nd elastic member 42 is disposed at a position overlapping the pad 12. In this case, although the 2 nd elastic member 42 is included in the structure not covering the entire longitudinal direction region of the pad 12, the 2 nd elastic member 42 is not wastefully applied to the pad 12. The arrangement of the effective range of the 2 nd elastic member 42 is not limited to this, and at least a part of the effective range of the 2 nd elastic member 42 may be arranged at a position overlapping the pad 12.

Stereo pleat

The three-dimensional gathers 33 are provided to prevent leakage of excreted liquid to the outside in the width direction. The base ends of the three-dimensional gathers 33 are provided in a region (three-dimensional gather region) 33A in the width direction, and this region 33A is arranged at a position on the outer side in the width direction than the misalignment preventing gather 32 and on the inner side in the width direction than the leg gathers 31. The three-dimensional gather region 33A is arranged in the longitudinal direction as follows: the diaper 1 extends in the longitudinal direction over substantially the entire length thereof except for the longitudinal end portion (the end portion is used as a fixed portion and does not have the stretching function).

As shown in fig. 4 and 5, the side sheet 10 includes an inner extension portion 10S extending in a separable manner from an edge portion of the top sheet 11 joined to the side sheet 10 toward the skin surface side on the inner side in the width direction. The inner extension portion 10S is formed over the entire length of the side sheet 10, and a three-dimensional gather 33 is formed in the inner extension portion 10S. The base end of the three-dimensional gather 33 corresponds to the edge on the base end side of the inner extension portion 10S (i.e., the portion where the inner extension portion 10S starts to separate from the top sheet 11).

The three-dimensional gather 33 is formed by: the elastic member (3 rd elastic member) 43 serving as a 3 rd stretchable member exerting a stretching force in the longitudinal direction is stretched and wrinkled in the longitudinal direction. As shown in fig. 4 to 6 (fig. 6A and 6B), the edge portion on the distal end side of the inner extension portion 10S has a double structure in which the inner extension portion is folded back and joined together, and the 3 rd elastic member 43 is disposed inside the double structure portion.

As shown by broken lines in fig. 1 and cross sections in fig. 4 and 5, the 3 rd elastic member 43 is composed of 2 elastic threadlike bodies (3 rd elastic threadlike body) 43a and 43 b. The 3 rd elastic member 43 is arranged in the longitudinal direction as follows: the diaper 1 extends in the longitudinal direction over substantially the entire length thereof except for the longitudinal end portions (the end portions are fixed to have no stretching function).

A separate pad (not shown) can be additionally attached to the space between the left and right three-dimensional gathers 33 on the skin surface side of the top sheet 11.

"characteristics of each pleat

Each of leg gathers 31, shift-preventing gathers 32, and three-dimensional gathers 33 is formed so as to be wrinkled by contraction in the longitudinal direction of elastic members 41, 42, 43. These elastic members 41, 42, 43 are continuously joined and attached in an extended state between the attached sheets. These elastic members 41, 42, and 43 exert a contraction force.

In the present embodiment, each of the elastic members 41, 42, and 43 is composed of a plurality of elastic threadlike bodies 41a, 41b, 42a to 42c, 43a, and 43b, and as each elastic threadlike body, for example, a rubber thread (rubber threadlike) or a thread-like stretchable film using natural rubber or synthetic rubber can be applied. The elastic members 41, 42, 43 composed of these threadlike elastic bodies 41a, 41b, 42a to 42c, 43a, 43b are respectively disposed between the layers constituting the respective sheets of the paper diaper 1.

That is, the 1 st elastic member 41 of the leg gather 31 is disposed between the side sheet 10 and the layer of the back sheet 13 in the crotch portion 1B. The leg gathers 31 are disposed between the layers of the side sheet 10 and the back sheet 13 in the front body portion 1A and the back body portion 1C which mainly serve as fixed ends, respectively, but may be disposed between the layers of the side sheet 10 and the cover sheet 14 or between the layers of the back sheet 13 and the cover sheet 14 in the front body portion 1A and the back body portion 1C.

The 2 nd elastic member 42 of the deflection preventing gather 32 is arranged between the back sheet 13 and the layer of the cover sheet 14 over the entire area thereof. Since all the effective ranges of the 2 nd elastic member 42 of the anti-offset gather 32 are disposed at positions overlapping the pad 12, when the threadlike elastic bodies 42a to 42c of the 2 nd elastic member 42 are elastically deformed, friction is generated between the threadlike elastic bodies 42a to 42c and the sheet in contact therewith. If the threadlike elastic bodies 42a to 42c directly contact the pad 12, friction occurs between the threadlike elastic bodies 42a to 42c and the pad 12, and the following fear arises: the pad 12 cracks or fractures, thereby making the pad 12 less absorbent. In particular, if a thin paper is used for the wrapping sheet, the threadlike elastic bodies 42a to 42c rub against the thin paper, and therefore the thin paper is easily broken.

On the other hand, by disposing the threadlike elastic bodies 42a to 42c of the 2 nd elastic member 42 between the back sheet 13 and the layer of the cover sheet 14, contact between the threadlike elastic bodies 42a to 42c and the pad 12 is avoided, and the contraction force of the 2 nd elastic member 42 is transmitted to the pad 12 through the back sheet 13, so that the pad 12 is supported by being lifted to the skin surface side by the displacement preventing gathers 32 without causing cracking or chipping of the pad 12, and the pad 12 is prevented from being displaced.

As shown in fig. 1 to 5, the first elastic member 41 of the leg gathers 31 is provided with 2 linear elastic bodies 41a, 41b, the second elastic member 42 of the displacement preventing gather 32 is provided with 3 linear elastic bodies 42a to 42c, and the third elastic member 43 of the three-dimensional gather 33 is provided with 2 linear elastic bodies 43a, 43b, but the elastic members 41, 42, 43 or the linear elastic bodies 41a, 41b, 42a to 42c, 43a, 43b have elastic properties corresponding to the requirements for the gather 31, 32, 33.

Between the 1 st elastic member 41 of the leg gather 31 and the 2 nd elastic member 42 of the displacement preventing gather 32, a structure is applied in which the 1 st elastic member 41 has a lower elastic modulus than the 2 nd elastic member 42. That is, the elastic member 41 on the outer side in the width direction has a lower elastic modulus than the elastic member 42 on the inner side in the width direction.

In other words, when the same stretching amount (stretching ratio) is applied, the outer elastic member 41 in the width direction exerts a weaker (i.e., gentle) elastic force (expansion/contraction force) than the inner elastic member 42 in the width direction.

The "elastic modulus" referred to herein is an elastic coefficient or an elastic constant mainly focused on the expansion and contraction of the diaper 1 in the longitudinal direction, and corresponds to the young's modulus E shown below, and can also correspond to the spring constant k.

E=σ/

σ: stress caused by stretching of elastic member

: strain induced by stretching of elastic members

Therefore, when the young's modulus (elastic modulus) of the 1 st elastic member 41 is E1 and the young's modulus (elastic modulus) of the 2 nd elastic member 42 is E2, E1 and E2 are in the relationship of the following formula (a).

E1<E2···(A)

[2. paper diaper in wearing State ]

Next, the crotch unit 1B in the worn state will be described with reference to fig. 5.

The crotch portion 1B is bent into a predetermined shape in a worn state. Specifically, at the portion where the embossed portion 20 is disposed, as shown in fig. 5, the embossed portions 20 are raised toward the skin surface side with the widthwise center as a vertex, and the outer side of the embossed portion 20 is also raised toward the skin surface side, so that the widthwise cross section of the crotch portion 1B is bent into a predetermined shape of a "W". The portions constituting the "W" shape are analogous to two V-shapes arranged side by side, and one V-shape portion and the other V-shape portion are referred to as V-shape portions 51 and 52. In addition, the position of the fold is referred to as a convex fold if it is on the skin surface side, and a concave fold if it is on the non-skin surface side.

In this worn state, the embossed portion 20 serves as a fold and guides the concave fold of the crotch portion 1B. Specifically, the crotch portion 1B is folded back with the two embossed portions 20 as folds, whereby the two folds are guided. The two embossed portions 20 are located at positions corresponding to the corners of the V-shaped portions 51 and 52. In the crotch portion 1B in this case, the intermediate portions in the width direction of the two embossed portions 20 are convexly folded in an inverted V shape, and the center in the width direction becomes a fold line.

In the crotch portion 1B thus folded into a predetermined shape, the displacement preventing gathers 32 formed of the 2 nd elastic member 42 are located on the widthwise outer sides of the V-shaped portions 51 and 52, respectively. The pad 12 is contracted in the longitudinal direction by the displacement preventing gathers 32 contracted by these 2 nd elastic members 42, and the entire lower crotch portion 1B is lifted up to the skin surface side.

In the pad 12 of the present embodiment, the embossed portion 20 is deformed into a W-shaped bent shape as described above, and the rigidity in the width direction of the diaper main body (absorbent article main body) 120 mainly including the pad 12 at this time is set to the following characteristics.

That is, as shown in fig. 6A, a sample 12' obtained by cutting the diaper main body 120 into a predetermined shape is prepared. The sample 12' was obtained by cutting the same material as the diaper main body 120 into a rectangular shape having a predetermined size. The thickness of the sample 12' is the same thickness T as the diaper main body 120, where T is 7 mm. Further, in the sample 12 ', a pair of grooves 20' (a guide structure for guiding the grooves in a bent shape) corresponding to the embossed portions 20 is provided symmetrically with respect to the center line C (center).

The sample 12 'has predetermined dimensions, that is, a lateral width L a (176 mm) and a longitudinal length L b (150 mm), and the groove 20' is provided at a distance L C (38 mm) from the center line C, so that the distance L s from the groove 20 'to the end edge in the width direction of the sample 12' is 50mm according to the lateral width L a and the distance L C.

As shown in FIG. 6B, the width-direction both ends of the sample 12' were set so as to be reduced to a predetermined thickness of 4 × T × 1.25.25 mm with respect to the cross-sectional thickness Tmm of the diaper main body 120, and the reaction force of the diaper main body 120 at this time (this reaction force depends mainly on the absorbent body and will be hereinafter also referred to as absorbent body reaction force) was set to 2.0N or less and 1.0N or more, and here, Tmm was set to 7mm and thus reduced to a predetermined thickness of 35 mm.

If the absorber reaction force is greater than 2.0N, the following concerns arise: the wearer feels oppressive and the wearing feeling is reduced. From this viewpoint, the absorber reaction force is more preferably 1.5N or less. On the other hand, if the absorber reaction force is less than 1.0N, there is a high possibility that the absorber cannot be appropriately deformed into a W-shaped bent shape.

The absorber reaction force value is obtained by performing a compression test described below on each measurement sample using a tensile compression tester (STROGRAPH VG1E) and obtaining the measurement value.

Here, a procedure of measuring the reaction force of the diaper main body 120 according to the compression test will be described.

(1) First, 13 samples of sample numbers 1 to 13 were prepared by cutting the crotch portion of the paper diaper 1 to a size of 176mm (width direction) × 150mm (length direction) to prepare measurement samples, wherein the maximum length was cut when the respective lengths were not satisfied.

(2) At the time of measurement, each measurement sample was bent in the following manner: in the center in the width direction, a ridge is formed along the longitudinal direction and protrudes toward the skin surface side.

(3) Further, bending is performed as follows: on both sides of the center in the width direction of each measurement sample and at positions within 80mm from the center, ribs were formed along the longitudinal direction so as to protrude toward the non-skin surface side. In the case of having the groove-like portion, the groove-like portion is bent.

(4) Then, the bent sample was placed between the grips of a tensile compression tester (STROGRAPH VG1E), and the value at the time of compression was measured.

The compression test was carried out under conditions such that the load cell was set to 100N, the test speed was set to 40mm/min, and the load range was × 20 (5N).

Sample numbers 1 to 5 are samples: slits were provided as a structure for guiding the bending (guide structure) at the portions corresponding to the embossed portions, and the basis weight of the pulp was constant (300 g/m) in these samples2) And the length of the slit is fixed (100mm), but the width of the slit is different from the combination of the thicknesses of the slit parts. And, the weight per unit area of the pulp is mainly the weight per unit area of the pad 12.

Sample No. 6 is a sample in which a guide structure (without slits and embossments) was not provided, and the weight per unit area of the pulp was 315g/m2

Sample nos. 7 to 13 are samples having embossments as a structure (guide structure) for guiding bending, and the combinations of the basis weight of the pulp, the embossing width, the embossing length, and the thickness of the embossed portion are different among these samples.

The basis weights of the pulps of sample Nos. 7, 9, 11 and 13 were standard values (315 g/m) equal to that of sample No. 62) On the other hand, the weight per unit area of the pulp of sample No. 8 was reduced (196 g/m)2) The basis weights of the pulps of sample Nos. 10 and 12 were increased (330 g/m)2、350g/m2)。

The embossed widths of sample numbers 7 to 10, 12 and 13 were all 3mm, and the embossed width of sample number 11 was 7 mm.

The embossing lengths were 170mm for sample No. 7 and 8 and 195mm for sample No. 9 to 13.

The thickness of the embossed portion was 0.46 to 0.78mm in sample No. 7 to 10, 12 and 13, but 2.1 in sample No. 11, which is larger than these.

By the compression test, absorber reaction forces were obtained for each sample as shown in table 1 below. Further, the paper diapers 1 corresponding to the respective samples were actually worn, and the ease of deformation into a W shape and the wearing feeling were evaluated. Each evaluation was carried out in 5 stages of 1 to 5, and the higher the number, the higher the evaluation (1 < 2 < 3 < 4 < 5, 5 being the highest evaluation).

[ TABLE 1]

As shown in table 1, by providing slits or embossments, the absorber reaction force can be reduced. However, even if the emboss is provided, the absorber reaction force tends to increase when the basis weight of the pulp of the pad 12 is high or when the thickness of the embossed portion is large.

Further, the lower absorber reaction force is evaluated to be high in the ease of deformation into the W shape, but the evaluation tends to be low in the wearing sensation regardless of whether the absorber reaction force is too high or too low.

Therefore, in order to make both the ease of deformation into the W-shape and the wearing feel highly evaluated, the basis weight of the pulp is preferably 340 or less, more preferably 325 or less, and preferably 200 or more. The absorber reaction force is preferably 3.4 or less, more preferably 2.5 or less, further preferably 2.0 or less, and further preferably 1.5 or less. The absorber reaction force is preferably 1.0 or more.

In the case of providing the slit, if the length is set to about 100mm, the width of the slit is preferably 1 to 30mm, more preferably 1 to 20 mm. The thickness of the slit portion is preferably a very small amount (5.0mm or less) as compared with 0 (penetration).

When the emboss is provided, the length is set to about 170 to 200mm, and the width of the emboss is preferably 1 to 10mm, more preferably 1 to 6 mm. The thickness of the embossed portion is preferably 0.2 to 3.0mm, more preferably 0.2 to 2.0 mm.

In addition, in the case where the water spraying step is provided before the embossing step, it is conceivable that the amount of water sprayed (the amount of water sprayed) affects the shape retention of the embossed portion 20. Here, a plurality of samples having different water ejection amounts were prepared for the same sample, focusing on the peel strength as a parameter for determining the shape retention ability, and a peel strength test was performed.

Here, a description will be given of a procedure for measuring the peel strength.

(1) The central portion of the crotch of the paper diaper 1 was cut to a size of 176mm (width direction) × 50mm (length direction) to prepare measurement samples, and when the lengths were not satisfied, the paper diaper was cut to the maximum length, and for this measurement sample, sample No. 7 was applied in which both the ease of deformation into a W-shape and the wearing sensation were highly evaluated, and measurement samples having different amounts of water jet were prepared as shown in table 2 below.

Specifically, the water is not sprayed (the amount of water sprayed is 0 [ g/m ]2Sample No. 7) and a water spray amount of 10 [ g/m ]2Sample No. 7A having a water spray amount of 20 [ g/m ]2Sample No. 7B and a water spray amount of 40 [ g/m ]2Sample No. 7C.

(2) Next, at the widthwise end portion of the measurement sample, peeling was performed between the skin-surface-side tissue and the non-skin-surface-side tissue sandwiching the absorbent body.

(3) Next, each end portion peeled off at the end portion in the width direction was sandwiched between the upper and lower sides of a jig of a peel tester (STROGRAPH), and the peel strength of the embossed portion was measured.

As a result, the results shown in table 2 below were obtained.

[ TABLE 2]

The higher the peel strength, the more the groove formed by embossing can be maintained during use. As shown in Table 2, the water injection amount was 0 → 10 → 20 (units are [ g/m ] for sample No. 7, sample No. 7A and sample No. 7B in the consonant order2And) and the peel strength is higher as the amount of water sprayed is increased. However, the same as sample No. 7BAlthough the amount of water sprayed was increased, the peel strength was decreased compared to sample No. 7C in which the amount of water sprayed was further increased.

This is considered to be: if the amount of water spray is increased, the fibers of the pulp constituting the mat 12 are easily temporarily bonded to each other due to the viscosity of water and surface tension, and the peel strength of the embossed portion (groove) is increased, but if the amount of water spray is excessively increased, the SUP in the mat 12 absorb water, and the peel strength is decreased.

According to the result, in the water spraying step of the manufacturing process, the water spraying amount is 1 to 60 [ g/m ]2In the range of (c), the amount of water sprayed is preferably 1 to 35 [ g/m ]2More preferably 12 to 35 [ g/m ]2〕。

Further, a hot melt adhesive may be applied to the embossed portion together with the water spray.

[3. action and Effect ]

Since the paper diaper is configured as described above, the following operations and effects can be obtained.

Since the embossed portions 20 are formed, as shown in fig. 5, in the crotch portion 1B, the cross section of the pad 12 is curved in a W shape so that the widthwise center of the pad 12 protrudes toward the skin surface side. Therefore, the close contact between the skin surface of the wearer and the pad 12 is improved, and the absorption of excrement can be improved. Further, since the width direction end edge portions of the pad 12 also protrude toward the skin surface side, leakage of excrement from the width direction end edge portions of the pad 12 can be suppressed.

In the case of the present embodiment, the pad 12 is contracted in the longitudinal direction by the 2 nd elastic member 42 of the displacement preventing gather 32, whereby the pad 12 is lifted up to the skin surface side, and the bending of the pad 12 at the embossed portion 20 can be reliably maintained.

Therefore, the crotch portion 1B of the paper diaper 1 is folded into a predetermined shape and held in the worn state, and the feeling and liquid-absorbing properties can be secured, thereby improving the comfort of the wearer.

As the stiffness characteristics of the absorbent article main body 120 (mainly, the stiffness characteristics of the pad 12), the absorber reaction force (the reaction force of the absorbent article main body 120) when both ends in the width direction are compressed to 4 × T × 1.25.25 mm (35 mm) with respect to the cross-sectional thickness Tmm (7 mm) of the absorbent article main body 120 so as to deform the W-shaped folded shape is set to 2.0N or less, and therefore, a fear of a feeling of pressure on the wearer to reduce the wearing feeling is avoided, and a good wearing feeling can be obtained.

Further, if the absorber reaction force is set to 1.5N or less, a more favorable wearing feeling can be obtained.

Further, since the absorber reaction force is set to 1.0N or more, the absorber can be appropriately deformed into a W-shaped bent shape.

As a standard for setting the stiffness characteristics of the pad 12, a V-shaped folded sample of one half of the center line in the longitudinal direction having the same dimension as that of the present embodiment may be prepared in place of the sample 12', and the absorber reaction force when the sample is compressed to 2 × T × 1.25mm with respect to the cross-sectional thickness Tmm of the absorbent article main body 120 may be set to 2.0N or less (preferably 1.5N or less) and 1.0N or more.

[ II, others ]

While the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention may be modified and practiced as follows.

For example, in the above embodiment, 3 gathers of the leg gather 31, the shift-preventing gather 32, and the three-dimensional gather 33, and the waist gather 34 are attached and the effects thereof are obtained, but these gathers are not essential.

In the above embodiment, the embossed portion 20 is provided as a guide structure for guiding the pad 12 so as to have a bent shape, but the pad 12 may be locally thinned or the material structure may be changed to reduce the rigidity as a guide structure.

In addition, although the absorbent article wearing body (absorbent article) in which the pad (absorbent body) 12 is incorporated and the separate pad (absorbent body) 50 can be attached and detached is exemplified in the present embodiment, the present invention can also be applied to an absorbent article wearing body (absorbent article) in which the pad (absorbent body) 12 is incorporated and the separate pad (absorbent body) cannot be attached and detached.
