1. A device for cardiopulmonary massage and/or resuscitation having a massage stamp (17), the massage stamp (17) being reversibly drivable by driving means along an actuation direction (18), the massage stamp (17) having a pressure surface (31) positionable on a chest (12) of a patient (11), characterized by the following features:

-the massage die (17) has a die upper portion (19) and a die lower portion (20) operatively connected to the die upper portion;

-said upper die part (19) and said lower die part (20) are adjustable with respect to each other along said actuation direction (18) at least between a first position defining a working length (L) and a second position in which the effective length (L) of said massaging die (17) is shortened compared to said working length (L);

-in the first position the die upper part (19) is locked to the die lower part (20) by a releasable locking mechanism (21); and is

-upon reaching/exceeding a predetermined pressing force (K) transmitted from the massaging stamp (17)max) When the locking mechanism (21) is released.
