The protection of the plants in the minimum population is related to the problem of the persistence or extinction of plant species, and is an important content of the protection of wild plant resources. At present, the 'national tiny population wild plant rescue protection engineering' including 120 plants is implemented in China, and is a plant variety which needs to be urgently rescued and protected, the name list of tiny population plants is continuously increased in the next step, and tiny population plant protection becomes important content of wild plant protection.

The method establishes a protection cell for on-site protection, can protect the natural population of the minimal population plants and the natural habitat of the minimal population plants, and is the most effective method in the rescue and protection measures of the minimal population wild plants. At present, natural protection cells are similar to the wild plant protection cells of extremely small populations in the aspect of words, natural protection cells are more in extraction methods and practice, but natural protection cells are mainly set up aiming at regions with relatively good natural environment preservation, and no unified method is used for determining the number, the positions and the areas in the planning design, so that the natural protection cells are usually influenced by factors such as local governments, planning and designing ideas, capital investment and the like, for example, the natural protection cells set up in a county and a city are different from several to hundreds, the positions, the areas and the like of the natural protection cells are influenced by subjective factors, certain randomness is achieved, the approved degree after the planning is built is lower, and the later-stage management and maintenance sustainability are not strong; meanwhile, the natural protection cell is usually directed at a section with better natural environment conditions, and the connection between the natural protection cell and the biological and ecological characteristics of target species is not tight, so that the scientificity is not sufficient.

The method is an initial method for determining the number, the position and the area of the wild plant protection cells of the extremely small population in planning and construction.

(1) determining the number of planned and constructed protection cells and the positions of the protection cells according to the population number, the population size and the current protected state of a target species;

(2) determining a protected cell area coefficient according to the living type of the target species;

(3) and determining the area of the protected cell by combining the natural population area of the proposed protected cell and the further refined area coefficient of the protected cell.

The embodiment provides a method for determining the number, the position and the area of a wild plant protection cell in a minimal population, which comprises the following three steps:

Since the result of the population survey contains the position information of the population, once the population is selected according to the method, the position of the protection cell to be planned and constructed is determined. Assuming that the condition is satisfied when the No. 3 population is selected in this example, the number of the protection cells to be planned and constructed is 3, and the positions of the protection cells are the positions of the selected No. 1, 2, and 3 populations.

Preferably, when a protection cell is established for a natural population, the area coefficient C of the protection cell is determined according to the life type of the target species (see Table 1),
