(embodiment mode)

[ appearance of Relay device ]

First, the appearance of the relay device will be specifically described with reference to fig. 1, 2A, and 2B.

Fig. 1 shows an example of use of the relay device 10 according to the embodiment. Fig. 2A and 2B are perspective views of the relay device 10 according to the embodiment. In addition, fig. 1 also shows peripheral devices (a remote controller (remote controller) 5, a portable terminal 6, and a television 7) associated with the relay device 10.

In fig. 1, 2A, and 2B, the X axis is an axis extending in the horizontal direction of the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6, and the mobile terminal 6 is held by the relay device 10. The Z axis is an axis along the vertical direction when the relay device 10 is placed on the horizontal plane. The Y axis is an axis orthogonal to the X axis and the Z axis. The positive and negative directions of the X axis are right and left, respectively. The positive and negative orientations of the Y axis are rear and front, respectively. The positive and negative directions in the Z-axis direction are up and down, respectively.

The remote controller 5 is a remote operation device that transmits a command to the relay apparatus 10 wirelessly. For example, the remote controller 5 has a plurality of keys, and transmits a wireless signal (for example, an infrared signal) corresponding to the pressed key. For example, the remote controller 5 may have an acceleration sensor, and may swing the remote controller 5 so as to generate acceleration in the vertical direction, the horizontal direction, and the right direction, and transmit a wireless signal corresponding to the swing operation.

The mobile terminal 6 is a mobile information terminal having a rectangular screen 6 a. For example, the mobile terminal 6 is a smartphone, a tablet computer, or the like that is connected to the internet or a telephone network to communicate with the internet or the telephone network and executes various application programs (software programs). Hereinafter, the application program will be abbreviated as an application.

The television 7 is an example of an external display device, and has a screen 7a for displaying a video signal output from the relay device 10, and is, for example, a 4K television, an 8K television, or the like.

The relay device 10 is a desktop type device (so-called cradle or docking station) that holds the portable terminal 6. The relay device 10 relays the video signal output from the mobile terminal 6 having the rectangular screen 6a to the television 7.

As shown in fig. 2A and 2B, the relay device 10 includes: the device comprises a housing 11, a 1 st interface 12, a 2 nd interface 13, a 3 rd interface 14 and a power supply terminal 15.

The housing 11 has a substantially triangular prism shape, and has a holding portion 11a for holding the mobile terminal 6 on a front surface corresponding to one side surface of the triangular prism. The housing 11 is made of, for example, a molded resin, and the control unit (not shown) is housed in the housing 11.

The 1 st interface 12 is provided in the housing 11 and is directly connected to the mobile terminal 6 without a cable. Here, the 1 st interface 12 includes a connection terminal directly inserted into a dedicated connector (for example, a lightning connector, USB, or the like) for charging and communication included in the portable terminal 6. The relay device 10 supplies power to the portable terminal 6 via the 1 st interface 12, for example. For example, the relay device 10 transmits data to the mobile terminal 6 or receives data from the mobile terminal 6 via the 1 st interface 12.

The 2 nd interface 13 is provided in the housing 11 and connected to the television 7. Specifically, the 2 nd Interface is a communication Interface (for example, HDMI (registered trademark); High-Definition Multimedia Interface) for transmitting a video signal. Here, the 2 nd interface 13 includes a connection terminal connected to the cable 4.

The 3 rd interface 14 is a communication interface for receiving instructions from the remote controller 5 wirelessly. For example, the 3 rd interface 14 is an infrared communication interface.

The power supply terminal 15 is a female connector into which the power supply line 3 such as an AC-DC adapter or an AC power supply cable is inserted. The power supply line 3 is connected to a commercial power supply.

[ functional configuration of Relay device ]

Next, the functional configuration of the relay device 10 will be specifically described with reference to fig. 3 and 4. Fig. 3 is a functional block diagram of the relay device 10 according to the embodiment.

As shown in fig. 3, the relay device 10 includes, as functional components: a 1 st interface 12, a 2 nd interface 13, a 3 rd interface 14, and a control unit 16.

The 1 st interface 12 is directly connected to the portable terminal 6 held in the housing 11 without a cable. The relay device 10 receives a video signal from a mobile terminal via the 1 st interface 12. That is, the video signal is input to the relay device 10 from the 1 st interface 12.

The 2 nd interface 13 is connected to the television 7. The relay device 10 outputs the video signal to the television 7 via the 2 nd interface.

The 3 rd interface 14 receives an instruction transmitted wirelessly from the remote controller 5. For example, the 3 rd interface 14 converts an infrared signal received from the remote controller 5 into an electric signal, and outputs the electric signal to the control unit 16.

The control unit 16 includes: an acquisition unit 16a, a determination unit 16b, and an overlapping unit 16 c. Specifically, the control unit 16 includes 1 or more dedicated electronic circuits corresponding to the obtaining unit 16a, the determining unit 16b, and the overlapping unit 16 c. For example, the control unit 16 may include a processor (not shown) and a memory (not shown) storing a software program or instructions, instead of 1 or more dedicated electronic circuits. In this case, when the software program or the instruction is executed, the processor functions as the obtaining unit 16a, the determining unit 16b, and the overlapping unit 16 c.

The obtaining unit 16a obtains the video signal and the normal notification information from the mobile terminal 6 via the 1 st interface 12. The normal notification information is an example of the 1 st notification information and is information notified by an application of the portable terminal 6. The notification information includes information of the individual of the user of the portable terminal 6 in general. Specifically, the normal notification information is, for example, a reception notification of a message by an SNS application or an email application, or an incoming call notification by a through application.

The determination unit 16b determines whether or not the normal notification information includes personal information. The personal information is information related to a person, and is information that is not intended to be disclosed to a plurality of persons. For example, the personal information is the content of a message received by the portable terminal 6. Also, the information of the individual may be, for example, information of the sender of the message received by the portable terminal 6. Also, the personal information may be information of an originator of a call to the portable terminal 6.

For example, the determination unit 16b determines whether or not the normal notification information includes personal information by determining whether or not a predetermined keyword is included in the normal notification information. Specifically, for example, when the normal notification information includes a predetermined keyword, the determination unit 16b may determine that the normal notification information includes personal information, and conversely, may determine that the normal notification information does not include personal information.

As the keyword, for example, a word input by the user of the mobile terminal 6 via the mobile terminal 6, the television 7, or the like can be used. As the keyword, a word received from a server or the like or a word stored in advance in a storage unit (not shown) of the relay device 10 may be used.

The determination unit 16b may determine whether or not the normal notification information includes personal information, based on an application of a notification source of the normal notification information. For example, in the case where the application of the notification source of the normal notification information is an SNS application, the determination unit 16b may determine that the normal notification information includes personal information. The information related to the application of the notification source may be included in the normal notification information, or may be obtained from the mobile terminal 6 independently of the normal notification information.

The superimposing unit 16c superimposes the simple notification information obtained by deleting and/or replacing at least a part of the normal notification information on the video signal based on the normal notification information, and outputs the superimposed simple notification information to the television 7 via the 2 nd interface 13. The simple notification information is an example of the 2 nd notification information, and is information in which the normal notification information is simplified. In other words, the simple notification information is information having a smaller amount of information for specifying the intention than the normal notification information. For example, when the general notification information includes personal information, the personal information is deleted from the simple notification information. As a specific example of the simple notification information, description will be made later using the drawings.

[ operation of Relay device ]

Next, the operation of the relay device 10 according to the present embodiment having the above-described configuration will be specifically described with reference to fig. 4 to 12.

Fig. 4 is a communication sequence diagram illustrating an example of the operation of the relay device 10 according to the embodiment. Here, an example of communication among the remote controller 5, the portable terminal 6, the relay device 10, and the television 7 is shown.

First, when detecting that the 2 nd interface 13 is connected to the television 7 via the cable 4, the control unit 16 of the relay apparatus 10 obtains device information including the screen size of the television 7 from the television 7 via the 2 nd interface 13 (S10).

After that, the remote controller 5 transmits an instruction to the relay device 10 by infrared rays in accordance with the operation of the operator (S11) (S12).

The control unit 16 of the relay device 10 converts the command received by the 3 rd interface 14 into a command that can be interpreted by the mobile terminal 6, and outputs the converted command to the mobile terminal 6 via the 1 st interface 12 (S13). Here, the instruction output to the mobile terminal 6 is an instruction for operating an application of the mobile terminal 6. Specifically, the command is a command for operating a video (for example, a streaming video). The command for operating the video is, for example, a command for selecting, playing, fast playing, reverse playing, stopping, or pausing the video, or may be any combination of these commands.

The mobile terminal 6, which has received the command from the relay device 10, outputs the video signal to the relay device 10 in accordance with the received command (S14).

The relay device 10 outputs the video signal received from the mobile terminal 6 via the 1 st interface 12 to the television 7 (S15).

The television 7 reproduces an input video signal and displays video content on the screen 7 a. Accordingly, the content (streaming video, etc.) of the small screen 6a displayed on the mobile terminal 6 is also displayed on the large screen 7a of the television 7. That is, the same video content is displayed on both the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6 and the screen 7a of the television 7.

Here, the operation to be described is a case where, when the relay device 10 relays a video signal from the mobile terminal 6 to the television 7, the application of the mobile terminal 6 displays the normal notification information on the screen 6a and outputs the normal notification information to the relay device 10.

When the application of the mobile terminal 6 displays the normal notification information on the screen 6a (S20), the obtaining unit 16a of the relay device 10 obtains the normal notification information in addition to the video signal from the mobile terminal 6 via the 1 st interface 12 (S21). The superimposing unit 16c of the relay device 10 generates the simple notification information based on the normal notification information (S22). Then, the superimposing unit 16c superimposes the simple notification information on the video signal (S23). As a result, the video signal superimposed with the simple notification information is output to the television 7 (S24). In this way, the simple notification information and the video content are displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7.

Next, the operation of the relay device 10 will be described with reference to a flowchart. Fig. 5 is a flowchart illustrating an example of the operation of the relay device 10 according to the embodiment. Specifically, fig. 5 shows the processing of the control unit 16 when the relay device 10 obtains the normal notification information from the mobile terminal 6.

First, the obtaining unit 16a obtains the video signal and the normal notification information from the mobile terminal 6 via the 1 st interface 12 (S30). The determination unit 16b determines whether or not the normal notification information includes personal information (S31).

Here, when it is determined that the normal notification information includes personal information (yes at S31), the superimposing unit 16c generates simple notification information based on the normal notification information (S32). Then, the superimposing unit 16c superimposes the generated simple notification information on the video signal (S33). Specifically, the superimposing unit 16c superimposes an image showing the simple notification information on a predetermined area of a frame included in the video signal.

When determining that the normal notification information does not include the personal information (no in S31), the superimposing unit 16c superimposes the normal notification information on the video signal (S34). That is, normally, the notification information is superimposed on the video signal as it is.

The superimposing unit 16c outputs the video signal superimposed with the normal notification information or the simple notification information to the television 7 via the 2 nd interface 13 (S35).

As described above, on the screen 7a of the television 7, when the normal notification information does not include the personal information, the normal notification information is displayed, and when the normal notification information includes the personal information, the simple notification information different from the normal notification information is displayed.

[ concrete example of simple Notification information ]

Next, specific examples of the simple notification information will be described with reference to fig. 6 to 12.

Fig. 6 shows an example of a video signal in the embodiment. Specifically, fig. 6 shows the video signal displayed by the processing of step S11 to step S15 in fig. 4. As shown in fig. 6, the same video content is displayed on the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6 and the screen 7a of the television 7.

Here, a case will be described where the normal notification information is notified by the application of the portable terminal 6 and the simple notification information is displayed on the screen of the television 7. Fig. 7 to 12 show an example of the simple notification information in the embodiment.

In fig. 7, the user of the mobile terminal 6 notifies that there is a call by the application , and normal notification information 20 including information of the originator "John Smith" is displayed on the entire screen of the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6. In this case, the simple notification information 21 includes a flag corresponding to the application , which is the notification source of the normal notification information 20, and does not include the information of the originator, which is the personal information in the normal notification information 20. That is, in the simple notification information 21, the information indicating the application of the channel is replaced with the flag corresponding to the application of the channel , and the information of the originator is deleted. Therefore, even if the simple notification information 21 is displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7, the personal information included in the normal notification information 20 is not displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7.

In fig. 8, similarly to fig. 7, the call of the mobile terminal 6 notifies that there is a call, and the normal notification information 20 including the information of the originator is displayed on the entire screen of the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6. At this time, the simple notification information 22 includes a message showing the character string "TEL" and the incoming call time "15 corresponding to the application of the call : 12 "without including information of the originator. That is, in the simple notification information 22, the information showing the application of the general is replaced with the character string "TEL", the information showing the incoming call time "15: 12 "do not change and the originator's information is deleted. Therefore, even if the simple notification information 22 is displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7, the personal information included in the normal notification information 20 is not displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7.

In fig. 9, the SNS application of the portable terminal 6 notifies the incoming message of the message, and normal notification information 30 including the content of the message and the information of the sender is displayed on the upper part of the screen 6a of the portable terminal 6. At this time, the simple notification information 31 includes a flag corresponding to an SNS application that is an application of the notification source of the normal notification information 30, and does not include the content of the message in the normal notification information 30. That is, in the simple notification information 31, information showing the SNS application is replaced with a flag corresponding to the SNS application, information showing the sender, information showing the content of the message, and the like are deleted. Therefore, even if the simple notification information 31 is displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7, the personal information included in the normal notification information 30 is not displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7.

In fig. 10, the SNS application of the mobile terminal 6 notifies the incoming message as in fig. 9, and normal notification information 30 including the content of the message and the information of the originator is displayed on the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6 on the upper portion of the screen 6 a. At this time, the simple notification information 32 includes information of the sender, not the content of the message. That is, in the simple notification information 32, information showing the SNS application is replaced with a flag corresponding to the SNS application, information of the sender is still included, and information showing the content of the message and the like are deleted. Therefore, even if the simple notification information 32 is displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7, the personal information other than the sender information included in the normal notification information 30 is not displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7.

In fig. 11, the SNS application of the portable terminal 6 notifies the incoming call of 2 messages, and normal notification information 30 including the content of 1 of the 2 messages and the information of the originator is displayed on the upper part of the screen 6a of the portable terminal 6. At this time, the simple notification information 33 includes a flag corresponding to the SNS application and the number of received messages, and does not include the content of the message. Therefore, even if the simple notification information 33 is displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7, the personal information included in the normal notification information 30 is not displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7.

In fig. 12, the through application of the portable terminal 6 notifies an incoming call to the phone, and notifies an incoming call for which the SNS application of the portable terminal 6 is a 2-piece message. Then, on the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6, the normal notification information 30 including the content of 1 message out of 2 messages and the information of the originator is displayed on the upper part of the screen 6 a. In this case, the simple notification information 34 includes: a tag corresponding to the tong application, a tag corresponding to the SNS application, and the number of received messages. The simple notification information 34 corresponds to a combination of the simple notification information 21 of fig. 7 and the simple notification information 33 of fig. 11. Therefore, as in fig. 7 and 11, even if the simple notification information 34 is displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7, the personal information included in the normal notification information 30 is not displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7.

[ Effect and the like ]

As described above, the relay device 10 according to the present embodiment is a device for relaying a video signal from the mobile terminal 6 to the television 7, and includes: a housing 11 that detachably holds the portable terminal 6; a 1 st interface 12 provided in the housing 11 and connected to the mobile terminal 6 held in the housing 11; a 2 nd interface 13 provided in the housing 11 and connected to the television 7; and a control unit 16 housed in the housing 11. The control unit 16 includes: an obtaining unit 16a that obtains a video signal and normal notification information (1 st notification information) from the mobile terminal 6 via the 1 st interface 12; and a superimposing unit 16c for superimposing, on the video signal, the simple notification information (2 nd notification information) obtained by deleting and/or replacing at least a part of the normal notification information based on the normal notification information, and outputting the superimposed simple notification information to the television 7 via the 2 nd interface 13.

Accordingly, since the relay device 10 includes the housing 11 for holding the mobile terminal 6, the mobile terminal 6 can be connected to the television 7 in a state where the mobile terminal 6 is held by the housing 11. Therefore, in the case of operating the portable terminal 6, the user does not need to take the portable terminal 6 out of the relay device 10 and hold the portable terminal 6 in his hand. Further, even if the normal notification information is displayed on the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6 when the video content is displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7, the relay device 10 can obtain the simple notification information by deleting and/or replacing at least a part of the normal notification information, and can suppress the personal information included in the normal notification information from being displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7 by superimposing the simple notification information on the video signal. Further, since the relay device 10 can display the simple notification information on the screen 7a of the television 7, it is possible to reduce the possibility of missing the notification from the application, compared to the case where no information related to the normal notification information is displayed on the television 7.

For example, in the present embodiment, the control unit 16 may further include a determination unit 16b that determines whether or not the normal notification information includes personal information. The superimposing unit 16c may superimpose the simple notification information (2 nd notification information) on the video signal when it is determined that the normal notification information includes the personal information, and superimpose the normal notification information (1 st notification information) on the video signal when it is determined that the normal notification information does not include the personal information. At this time, the simple notification information may not include personal information.

Accordingly, since it is possible to determine whether or not the normal notification information includes personal information, the notification information superimposed on the video signal can be switched according to the determination result. Therefore, the relay device 10 can more reliably prevent personal information from being displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7.

For example, in the present embodiment, the determination unit 16b may determine whether or not the normal notification information includes personal information by determining whether or not the normal notification information includes a predetermined keyword. For example, in the present embodiment, the determination unit 16b may determine whether or not the normal notification information includes personal information, based on an application of a notification source of the normal notification information.

Accordingly, the relay device 10 can more accurately determine whether or not the normal notification information includes the personal information.

For example, in the present embodiment, the simple notification information may include a flag corresponding to an application of a notification source of the normal notification information.

With this, the user of the mobile terminal 6 can recognize the application of the notification source on the screen 7a of the television 7 without knowing the detailed content of the notification information by other viewers. Thereafter, the user of the mobile terminal 6 can confirm the details of the notification information on the screen 6a of the mobile terminal 6 as needed. That is, the relay device 10 can notify the application of the mobile terminal 6 without disclosing personal information to other viewers, and can make the user of the mobile terminal 6 perceive it through the screen 7a of the television 7.

For example, in the present embodiment, the general notification information may include the content of the message and the sender information, and the simple notification information may include the sender information but not the content of the message. For example, in the present embodiment, the simple notification information may further include the number of received messages. For example, in the present embodiment, the normal notification information may include the incoming call time of the telephone and the information of the originator of the telephone, and the simple notification information may include information showing the incoming call time of the telephone, but not include the information of the originator of the telephone.

This can suppress the display of personal information on the screen 7a of the television 7.

For example, in the present embodiment, the 1 st interface 12 may be directly connected to the portable terminal 6 without a cable.

Hereby, the relay device 10 can be used as a so-called transfer shoe or docking station.

(other embodiments)

Although the relay device according to one or more aspects of the present invention has been described above based on the embodiments, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments. The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above, and various modifications and variations that can be made by those skilled in the art can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.

In the above-described embodiment, the simple notification information includes a mark or a character corresponding to an application of a notification source of the notification information, but is not limited thereto. For example, the easy notification information may not necessarily correspond to the application of the notification source, and may include the same mark or text regardless of the application of the notification source. In this case, the user of the mobile terminal 6 cannot determine the application of the notification source from the simple notification information, but can recognize that the notification has occurred in the mobile terminal 6.

Further, the application of the notification source need not be distinguished by the shape or character of the mark. The application of the notification source can be distinguished by the color of the mark. For example, a red marker may be used in the case of the application of the No. , and a blue marker of the same shape may be used in the case of the SNS application. Also, the application of the notification source may be distinguished by the display mode. For example, flashing may be used in the case of the application at , and not used in the case of an SNS application. Further, for example, the blinking period may be made different for each application.

In the above-described embodiment, although the individual information included in the normal notification information is deleted, the individual information included in the normal notification information may be replaced with unidentifiable information by applying image processing such as mosaic processing to the normal notification information. That is, the simple notification information can visually block the personal information.

In the above embodiment, the control unit 16 of the relay device 10 includes the determination unit 16b, but the determination unit 16b need not be provided. For example, the relay device 10 may superimpose the simple notification information on the video signal regardless of whether or not there is personal information. Even in this case, since the simple notification information is displayed on the screen 7a of the television 7, the display of personal information can be suppressed.

In the above embodiment, the remote controller 5 transmits the command by infrared rays, but radio waves such as Wi-Fi may be used as long as the command is transmitted by radio. In this case, the 3 rd interface 14 may include an antenna, a receiving circuit, and the like for receiving a command for transmitting an electric wave such as Wi-Fi.

In the above embodiment, the 2 nd interface 13 is an interface for transmitting a video signal by wire such as HDMI (registered trademark), but may be an interface for transmitting a video signal by wireless such as Wi-Fi. In this case, the 2 nd interface 13 may include an antenna, a transmitting/receiving circuit, and the like for transmitting a video signal wirelessly through Wi-Fi or the like.

In the above embodiments, the case where the video signal is relayed from the mobile terminal 6 to the television 7 has been described, but the audio signal may be relayed together with the video signal. In this case, the television 7 may include a speaker (not shown) for outputting a sound based on the sound signal.

In the above embodiments, the case where the external display device is a television is described, but the external display device is not limited to a television. For example, the external display device may be a display.

The present invention can be used as a desktop relay device that relays a video signal output from a portable terminal to a display device, for example, as a cradle (cradle) for a smartphone or a tablet computer.
