9. The hinge according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the depth adjustment unit (40) comprises a rotatable worm in which one or more protrusions (24) engage.

10. Hinge according to claim 8, characterized in that said worm is controllably pressed against an opening (32) of said side portion (3).

11. The hinge according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that said vertical adjustment unit (50) comprises a threaded bolt held so that it can rotate but cannot be displaced axially on the opening of said lateral portion (3).

12. The hinge according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the vertical adjustment unit (50) comprises a threaded bolt which is retained by a threaded section on a U-shaped housing (25) of the mounting plate (2).

13. The hinge according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the displaceable bolt (4) is controllably guided in the recess (22).

Technical Field

The invention relates to a hinge, in particular a multi-joint hinge, having a mounting plate which can be fixed on a body or a door, and a side part which is held on the mounting plate and on which a hinge part is pivotably mounted, wherein the side part can be displaced in the longitudinal direction on the mounting plate via a depth adjustment unit and the side part can be pivoted relative to the mounting plate by a vertical adjustment unit.

Background

EP 2176486B 1 discloses a hinge comprising a mounting plate which can be fixed on a main body, on which mounting plate the side parts are adjustably held via adapters, wherein two adjustment mechanisms are provided for this purpose. Subsequently, the hinge portion is pivotably mounted on the side portion so that the alignment of the door held on the hinge portion can be adjusted. However, such adjustment mechanisms have proven themselves to require a variety of components.

WO 2009/083152 discloses a furniture hinge with two fittings which are displaceable relative to each other. Furthermore, an eccentric is provided, which on the one hand ensures a sliding movement and, in addition, also achieves a certain pivoting movement of the fitting by using an elastically deformable clamping element. However, the adjustment travel is limited by the elastically deformable clamping element and, in addition, damage can result in the case of high contact pressures.

Disclosure of Invention

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a hinge which allows an adjustment of the side part relative to the mounting plate using simple means and which, in addition, can be mounted quickly on the furniture body.

This object is achieved by a hinge having the features of claim 1.

In the hinge according to the invention, a mounting plate and a side part which is adjustable via a depth adjustment unit and a vertical adjustment unit are provided, wherein the side part is fixed on the mounting plate via a fastener element and is latched with a bolt, in particular, which is displaceably mounted in the mounting plate or the side part. The side portions can thus be displaceably held on the mounting plate and, in addition, pivotably held without the need to provide additional adapters, so that the mounting and the corresponding adjusting movement can be performed with few components. The side parts can also be mounted particularly simply by means of fastener elements and are in particular secured against lifting from the mounting plate.

The hinge is preferably designed as a multi-joint hinge, so that the side part is movably connected to a further hinge part, such as a hinge cup, via at least four joints.

The fastener elements, the bolts and the side portions preferably form a unit which is displaceably held on the mounting plate.

The fastener element includes at least one hook element that preferably partially encloses the bolt, for example at least 100 ° to 130 °. In this case, the bolt may be arranged in a recess of the mounting plate or the side portion, in particular in a rectangular hole, so that the bolt is displaceable together with the side portion. The side portions are preferably rotatably mounted on the bolts for vertical adjustment, such that the bolts are used for both depth and vertical adjustment.

For effective mounting, the fastening element can be fastened in particular displaceably on the side part or the mounting plate and/or spring-loaded on one side, wherein for this purpose a web can be formed on the fastening element, which web is inserted into an opening of the side part in order to fasten the fastening element on the side part. The fastener elements can be provided on the mounting plate in the same way, wherein the bolts are then arranged on the side portions. Other fastening mechanisms may also be used, and optionally, the fastener elements may also be integrally formed with the side portions or mounting plate.

In another embodiment, the fastener element is formed as a U-shaped molded part with hook elements on two legs, each of which engages behind a bolt and secures a side portion against lifting from the mounting plate.

The legs of the fastener elements are preferably arranged in the recess of the mounting plate in the locked state, in particular in a recess resembling a rectangular hole. This has the advantage that the hinge can be constructed as compact and compact as possible.

The depth adjustment unit may be provided with a rotatable worm in which the one or more protrusions engage. In this case, a worm is understood to be a groove formed in a spiral shape. In this case, the worm can be secured in a controlled manner in the opening of the side part, in particular pressed in, and the projection can preferably be integrally formed on the mounting plate. Other depth adjustment units, such as eccentrics, may also be used.

The vertical adjustment unit preferably comprises a threaded bolt which is held such that it is rotatable but not axially displaceable in the opening of the side part, for example by being pressed into the opening. In this case, the vertical adjustment unit may engage with a threaded section on the U-shaped receptacle of the mounting plate.

Vertical adjustment is understood to be support adjustment of the side portions relative to the mounting plate, whereby the distance between the side portions and the mounting plate can be changed vertically relative to the depth adjustment direction.

Detailed Description

The hinge 1 comprises a mounting plate 2, for example made of bent metal plate, and side parts 3. A hinge part (not shown) is pivotably mounted on the side part 3, for example a door or flap being fixed to said side part 3. The mounting plate 2 can be fixed to the side wall of the furniture body or the household appliance. To align the door or flap in the closed position, the side member 3 is displaceably mounted on the mounting plate 2 via a depth adjustment unit 40 and pivotably mounted on the mounting plate 2 via a vertical adjustment unit 50. For this purpose, a screw 4 is provided which passes through the mounting plate 2 and serves for mounting the side part 3.

The hinge 1 is shown in various exploded views in fig. 2A to 2C.

The mounting plate 2 comprises a rectangular body which is U-shaped in cross-section and on which two arms 20 are provided laterally, the two arms 20 comprising openings 21 for fastening means. Alternatively, the mounting plate 2 may be provided only as a rectangular body, with the fastening means being located in the rectangular body, so that the two arms 20 may be omitted. Recesses 22 through which the bolts 4 pass are formed in the rectangular body on opposite sides in each case. In this case, the bolt 4 comprises thickened end sections 5 on opposite sides for achieving a controlled fixing of the bolt in the direction of its longitudinal axis. Further, the mounting plate 2 includes a rectangular U-shaped receiving portion 25 through which the screw bolt of the vertical adjustment unit 50 passes. In this case, the threaded section of the vertical adjustment unit 50 engages with the side edge on the U-shaped receptacle 25, so that the adjustment of the side portion 3 relative to the mounting plate 2 is performed by rotating the threaded section. In this case, the threaded bolt of the vertical adjustment unit 50 is rotatably mounted in the side portion 3 via a biasing pin 51. Alternatively, a thread may be provided in the side portion 3, so that for example the offset pin 51 may be inserted into the U-shaped receptacle 25 of the mounting plate. The vertical adjustment unit 50, which is formed as a bolt with an external thread, is arranged to be rotatable but not axially displaceable on the side portion 3, for example by pressing the vertical adjustment unit 50 into an opening of the side portion 3.

Furthermore, a fastener element 6 is provided for fixing the side portion 3 on the mounting plate 2, which fastener element is formed as a U-shaped molded body and comprises a hook element 7 on two opposite legs, which hook element 7 has a receptacle 8 into which the bolt 4 can be inserted. Furthermore, laterally projecting webs 9 are formed on the fastener elements 6, which webs 9 can be inserted into the slot openings 10 on the side portions 3 or the two legs 31 of the mounting plate 2.

The side portion 3 is formed as a rectangular part which is U-shaped in cross section and comprises a transverse web 30 in which an opening 32 for inserting the depth adjustment unit is formed. Two angled legs 31 project on the transverse web 30, which at least partially enclose the mounting plate 2 and its oblong hole 22.

In order to be able to displace the side portion 3 relative to the mounting plate 2, a depth adjustment unit 40 is provided which is formed as a worm and comprises a net-shaped worm 41 on the side facing the mounting plate 2. On the opposite side of the depth adjustment unit 40, a tool head 42 is provided, which is accessible from the outside. The depth adjustment unit 40 may be pressed into the opening 32 to be received therein such that it is rotatable but not axially displaceable. The worm 41 facing towards the mounting plate 2 engages with one or more protrusions 24 formed on the upper side of the mounting plate 2.

For mounting, according to fig. 3A and 3B, firstly the bolts of the vertical adjustment unit 50 are positioned in the receptacles 25 of the mounting plate 2 and furthermore the fastening elements 6 are latched between the side parts 3 and the mounting plate 2. The preferably spring-loaded fastener element is displaced or moved relative to the side portion by the bolt 4 through a corresponding entry ramp on the hook element 7. As soon as the bolt leaves the entry ramp, it locks in the receptacle 8 on the hook element 7. The displacement movement and/or the size of the oblong hole 22 of the bolt 4 can then be limited by bending over the tab 23 on the recess 22, so that the sliding range of the bolt 4 is reduced after the mounting of the side part 3 and/or the bolt 4 is held in the mounting plate in a controlled manner. Alternatively, the bolt 4 may be provided with only one end section, so that the bolt 4 may be inserted into the recess 22. After the mounting process, the second end section is subsequently produced, for example by riveting. Alternative solutions for the controlled fastening of the bolt 4 are also possible, so that the tab 23 can be omitted.

The hinge is shown in fig. 4A and 4B in a mounted position, in which the side part 3 is arranged relatively flat on the mounting plate 2 in the position of fig. 4A, and in the illustration of fig. 4B an adjusting movement is performed via the vertical adjusting unit 50, during which the side part 3 is pivoted about the bolt 4. Therefore, the vertical distance of the side portion 3 with respect to the bottom of the mounting plate 2 becomes large on one side.

Fig. 5A and 5B show two sectional views from which the function of the depth adjustment unit 40 can be seen. The depth adjusting unit 40 includes a worm 41 protruding downward to be engaged with the boss 24. By rotating the worm of the depth adjustment unit 40, the unit made up of the fastener element 6, the bolt 4 and the side portion 3 can thus be displaced relative to the mounting plate 2. Although the bolt 4 is arranged in the rectangular hole 22 all the way to the left in fig. 5A, it is always located to the right in fig. 5B and is pressed against the bent tab 23. The vertical adjustment unit 50 is also displaced in the receptacle 25 by a displacement movement of the side part 3, as can be seen from fig. 6A and 6B. Nevertheless, the threaded section of the vertical adjustment unit 50 can remain engaged with the U-shaped receptacle 25, so that the vertical adjustment can also be performed independently of the position of the side portion 3 relative to the mounting plate 2.

Two cross-sectional views illustrating the vertical adjustment unit 50 and the depth adjustment unit 40 are shown in fig. 7A and 7B. Both the depth adjustment unit 40 and the vertical adjustment unit 50 comprise bolt-shaped sections which are arranged in openings on the side portions 3 such that they are rotatable but not axially displaceable. This may be performed by a corresponding deformation of the side portion 3, e.g. by pressing into the vertical adjustment unit 50 and the depth adjustment unit 40.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the depth adjustment unit 40 is formed by a worm. Alternatively, an eccentric or other adjustment mechanism may be used. Furthermore, the bolt 4 is displaceably held on the mounting plate 2 and the fastener element 6 is fixed on the side part 3. It is of course also possible to provide bolts on the side portions 3 and to mount the fastener elements 6 displaceably on the mounting plate 2.
