Accurate estrus identification is one of key factors for improving the oestrus uncovering rate and the oestrus conception rate of the dairy cows, artificial observation of estrus is one of the main methods for the oestrus identification of the dairy cows, and observation of mucus in the reproductive tract is the key point for artificial observation of estrus. The resistance value of the mucus can be used for predicting the period of the oestrus cycle of the cow so as to predict the artificial insemination time, and research finds that the resistance value of the mucus is negatively correlated with follicular development and is lowest 24h before ovulation. However, the mucus in the genital tract is generally left outside the body only in the full estrus period, and is not easy to observe in other time. Therefore, in order to accurately evaluate the oestrus cycle and the artificial insemination time, a special mucus suction device is needed to extract mucus for analysis. Vaginal mucus is generally thin and cervical mucus is more viscous, so vaginal mucus can be extracted by a piston method, and cervical mucus is extracted by pulling or pushing with great force. However, there are few available devices for extracting mucus from cattle, and the only devices that do not provide for the simultaneous extraction of mucus from the vagina and uterine horn.
