Technical Field

The present invention relates to a household dishwasher.

Background

Dishwashers mostly have a rinsing container and a base carrier carrying the rinsing container. The rinse vessel is typically constructed from a plurality of metal panels. For example, the rinsing container comprises a bottom and a rear wall, which are connected to one another, for example by means of a connecting flange.

Reference DE 19611049 a1 discloses a dishwasher having a box-shaped washing container which is composed of at least two plate parts, one of which forms the two side walls, the upper wall and the bottom of the container and the other plate part forms the rear wall of the container, and which have flanges which are arranged on the outside at the container along the edge regions of the plate parts which face one another and are connected to one another by welding at the edge regions, wherein the flanges of the rear wall in the disassembled state extend beyond the flanges of the other parts of the container and the projecting parts of the flanges of the rear wall are bent in an overlapping manner in the direction of the flanges of the other parts of the container and of the other parts of the container in the assembled state.

The reference DE 19611055 a1 discloses a dishwasher having a machine base on which a washing container can be placed, wherein the washing container rests on the rear side on an upper edge of the machine base.

Disclosure of Invention

Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved domestic dishwasher.

A domestic dishwasher is therefore proposed, which has a washing container comprising a base, a washing container housing connected to the base, and a rear wall connected to both the base and the washing container housing, wherein the base comprises a first connecting flange and the rear wall comprises a second connecting flange which rests at least in sections on the first connecting flange, wherein the second connecting flange has a deformation region which extends beyond the first connecting flange, and wherein the deformation region is bent away from the first connecting flange in such a way that the deformation region rests on the second connecting flange.

By bending the deformation region away from the first connecting flange and not in the opposite direction, i.e. in the direction toward the first connecting flange, the installation space required for the connecting flange can be reduced. Thereby, for example, the position of the components accommodated in the basic carrier of a domestic dishwasher can be unchanged.

"the deformation region is bent away from the first connecting flange" is to be understood as: the deformation region is not deformed in the direction of the first connecting flange but is deformed away from the first connecting flange. The deformation region thus does not rest on the first connecting flange but on the second connecting flange. That is, when the deformation region is deformed, the second connecting flange is disposed between the deformation region and the first connecting flange. This results in a three-fold plate thickness in the region of these connection flanges. This increases the strength in the region of the connecting flanges. "the second connecting flange extends with its deformation region beyond the first connecting flange" can be understood in particular to mean: the deformation region extends beyond the first connecting flange in the direction of the bottom of the receiving region of the base carrier of the domestic dishwasher.

The deformation region is in particular a part of the second connecting flange. By the deformation region abutting against the second connecting flange, the deformation region can be transferred from an undeformed state, in which the second connecting flange and the deformation region form a common plane, into a deformed state. A sealing device for sealing the first connecting flange relative to the second connecting flange can be provided between the first connecting flange and the second connecting flange. The sealing device can be made of a thermoplastic elastomer, for example. To accommodate the sealing means, a groove can be provided at the rear wall.

According to one embodiment, the rinsing container housing is constructed in one piece and comprises a first side wall, a second side wall and a top cover arranged between the first side wall and the second side wall.

"one-piece" is to be understood as: the first side wall, the second side wall and the top cover form a member made of the same material. For example, the rinse container housing is a one-piece section of sheet metal that includes a first side wall, a second side wall, and a top cover. The flushing container housing can have a U-shaped geometry and be fixed to the base. The base is fixedly connected to the side wall of the flushing container housing, for example by means of a flanged snap connection and/or welding. The rear wall is fixedly connected to the flushing container housing and the bottom, for example by means of a crimped snap connection and/or welding.

According to a further embodiment, the first connecting flange is spot welded to the second connecting flange.

In this way, a reliable connection of the first connecting flange to the second connecting flange can be achieved. In order to seal the first connecting flange in a watertight manner with respect to the second connecting flange, the sealing device explained above is used.

According to a further embodiment, the deformation region has a recess, in particular a drop-shaped recess.

The recessed portions are provided at a lower region of the rear wall and are evenly spaced from each other in a lateral direction of the rear wall. Between the recesses, a finger-shaped section is provided, which rests against the second connecting flange.

According to a further embodiment, the deformation region in the region of the recess bears against the second connecting flange.

That is to say, only the finger-shaped sections set forth above between the recesses rest against the second connecting flange. The strength in the region of the connecting flange can be increased by the drop-shaped recess and the open geometry resulting therefrom.

According to a further embodiment, fastening points, in particular welding points, are provided in the recess for connecting the first connecting flange to the second connecting flange.

In particular, each recess is provided with one such fixing point. Alternatively, each recess can also be equipped with a plurality of fixing points.

According to a further embodiment, the domestic dishwasher comprises a base carrier which carries the rinsing container, wherein the deformation region is supported on the base carrier.

The base support is preferably a synthetic material member. In particular, the base carrier is an injection molded component. In particular, the deformation region is supported on the base carrier by means of a bearing surface.

According to a further embodiment, the deformation region is supported on the base carrier at two placement locations arranged at a distance from one another.

Preferably, the placement site is laterally arranged at the base carrier. In the region of the placement location, the deformation region and the connection flange can be elastically and/or plastically deformed, so that damage to the base carrier, for example in the event of a large crash load, is prevented.

According to a further embodiment, the domestic dishwasher comprises a fastening element, in particular a screw, which is guided through a through-opening provided in the first and/or second connecting flange and which is fixedly connected with the base carrier, wherein the rinsing container is not supported at the fastening element.

Preferably a plurality, for example two, of such fixing elements are provided. In particular, the fastening element is screwed into the base carrier. The through-hole is in particular configured as a slot. The through-hole is dimensioned such that the fastening element never touches a wall of the through-hole. This reliably prevents the rinsing container from being supported on the fastening element. This ensures that the rinsing container is supported only on the base carrier. By means of the fastening elements and the through-opening, a floating support of the rinsing container at the rear wall can be achieved. Direct introduction of force from the rinsing container into the fastening element and from the fastening element into the base carrier is prevented. This can reliably prevent the base carrier from breaking and/or forming cracks in the base carrier.

According to a further embodiment, the base carrier has a receiving region in which the first connecting flange and the second connecting flange are received, wherein the deformation region is supported on the bottom of the receiving region.

The receiving section is in particular formed in a trough shape. The deformation region is supported on the base by means of its bearing surface.

Other possible embodiments of the domestic dishwasher also include combinations of features or embodiments previously and hereinafter described with reference to the examples, which are not explicitly mentioned. The person skilled in the art also adds the individual points to the corresponding basic form of the domestic dishwasher as an improvement or supplement.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of a domestic dishwasher 1. The domestic dishwasher 1 comprises a rinsing container 2 which can be closed, in particular watertight, by a door 3. For this purpose, a sealing device can be provided between the door 3 and the rinsing container 2. The rinsing container 2 is preferably cuboid-shaped. The rinsing container 2 can be arranged in a housing of the domestic dishwasher 1. The rinsing container 2 and the door 3 can form a rinsing chamber 4 for rinsing the rinsing stock.

In fig. 1, the door 3 is shown in its open position. The door 3 can be opened or closed by being about a pivot axis 5 provided at a lower end portion of the door 3. The filling opening 6 of the rinsing container 2 can be closed or opened by means of the door 3. The rinsing container 2 has a bottom 7, a cover 8 opposite the bottom 7, a rear wall 9 opposite the closed door 3, and two side walls 10, 11 opposite each other. The bottom 7, the top cover 8, the rear wall 9 and the side walls 10, 11 can be made of stainless steel, for example. The first side wall 10, the second side wall 11 and the cover 8 arranged between the first side wall 10 and the second side wall 11 are constructed in one piece, in particular in one and the same material, and form a flushing container housing 12 of the flushing container 2. The flushing container housing 12, the rear wall 9 and the bottom 7 are components which are produced separately from one another and are nevertheless connected to one another in a watertight manner.

The domestic dishwasher 1 also has, for example, at least one washload receptacle 13 to 15. Preferably, a plurality of, for example three, rinsing receptacles 13 to 15 are provided, wherein rinsing receptacle 13 can be a lower rinsing receptacle or a bottom basket, rinsing receptacle 14 can be an upper rinsing receptacle or an upper basket, and rinsing receptacle 15 can be a cutlery drawer. As also shown in fig. 1, the flushing substance holders 13 to 15 are arranged one above the other in the flushing container 2. Each flushing contents receptacle 13 to 15 can optionally be moved into or out of the flushing container 2. In particular, each flushing-product receptacle 13 to 15 can be inserted into the flushing container 2 in an insertion direction E (arrow) and can be withdrawn from the flushing container 2 in a withdrawal direction a (arrow) counter to the insertion direction E (arrow).

Fig. 2 shows a schematic perspective partial section of the domestic dishwasher 1. The domestic dishwasher 1 comprises, in addition to the rinsing container 2, a base carrier 16 carrying the rinsing container 2. The base carrier 16 is preferably made of a synthetic material. In particular, the base carrier 16 is an injection-molded component. The base carrier 16 comprises a trough-shaped receiving area 17 with a bottom 18.

As also shown in fig. 2, the bottom 7 comprises a first connecting flange 19 which is flanged, in particular bent by 90 ° relative to the bottom 7. The rear wall 9 comprises a second connecting flange 20 corresponding to the first connecting flange 19. The second connecting flange 20 rests at least in sections against the first connecting flange 19. The second connection flange 20 comprises a deformation zone 21 which is bent so as to bring the deformation zone 21 against the second connection flange 20 itself. In particular, the deformation zone 21 does not abut against the first connecting flange 19.

As shown in fig. 2, the second connecting flange 20 extends beyond the first connecting flange 19 in the direction of the bottom 18 of the receiving region 17 of the base carrier 16. That is to say, the second connecting flange 20, in particular the deformation region 21, is longer in the direction of the base 18 than the first connecting flange 19. The deformation zone 21 is bent away from the first connecting flange 19 in the direction R, so that the deformation zone 21 abuts against the second connecting flange 20. That is to say, the deformation region 21 is not bent in the direction of the first connecting flange 19, but is bent away from the first connecting flange.

By arranging the deformation region 21 on the second connecting flange 20, a three-fold plate thickness is obtained at the location where the deformation region 21, the second connecting flange 20 and the first connecting flange 19 are arranged one above the other. This enables particularly high strength to be achieved. The second connecting flange 20 is thus fixed between the first connecting flange 19 and the deformation region 21. The deformation region 21 is supported on the base 18 of the receiving region 17, in particular by means of a bearing surface 22.

Preferably, the first connecting flange 19 is welded, in particular spot welded, to the second connecting flange 20. In order to seal the first connecting flange 19 in a watertight manner against the second connecting flange 20 and also in order to seal the rear wall 9 against the flushing container housing 12, a sealing device 23 is provided. To accommodate the sealing device 23, a groove 24 can be punched in the rear wall 9. The sealing means 23 is preferably a sealing strip. The sealing device 23 can be made, for example, of a thermoplastic elastomer, in particular of thermoplastic polyurethane. The longitudinal direction of the rinsing container 2, which is denoted by reference sign L in fig. 2, is oriented perpendicular to the rear wall 9.

The structural height of the connection flanges 19, 20 can be reduced in comparison with an arrangement in which the deformation region 21 is not bent in the direction R away from the first connection flange 19, but rather toward the first connection flange. Thereby enabling space savings. This makes it possible to provide space for components arranged in the base carrier 16, for example. Furthermore, as the structural height is reduced, the notch effect at the bottom 18 of the receiving region 17 of the base carrier 16 is reduced. This prevents the base carrier 16 from breaking off and/or forming cracks therein.

Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of the rear wall 9. Fig. 4 shows a detail of the detail IV according to fig. 3. As shown in fig. 4, the deformation region 21 includes a plurality of recesses 25, however only one of the recesses has a reference numeral in fig. 4. The recesses 25 are evenly spaced apart from each other in the transverse direction Q of the rear wall 9 or the rinse container 2. The recess 25 is in particular drop-shaped. Between the recesses 25, finger-shaped sections 26 of the deformation region 21 are provided, so that the sections 26 and the recesses 25 are arranged alternately.

The deformation region 21 rests on the second connecting flange 20, in particular only by means of the finger-shaped section 26. The open drop-shaped geometry of the recess 25 is able to absorb greater forces due to its stiffening effect than a closed geometry without such a recess 25. In the recess 25, fastening points 27, in particular welding points, are provided in order to connect the first connecting flange 19 to the second connecting flange 20. As shown in fig. 4, the rear wall 9 comprises, in addition to the second connecting flange 20, further connecting flanges 28 to 30. However, these connection flanges 28 to 30 are not flanged in the direction R, but are flanged opposite to this direction. The rear wall 9 is connected to the flushing container housing 12 by means of connecting flanges 29 to 30.

Fig. 5 shows a schematic partial section view of the domestic dishwasher 1 from behind. As fig. 5 shows, the deformation region 21 rests with its support surface 22 on a corresponding rest area 31 of the base 18 of the receiving region 17. Preferably, two such placement sites 31 are provided spaced apart from each other. The bearing surface 22 is not supported between the placement locations 31. In the region of the placement location 31, the deformation region 21 and/or the connection flanges 19, 20 can be elastically and/or plastically deformed. Thereby, for example, in the case of a provision of a household dishwasher 1 in violation of regulations or of a large impact load generated thereby, damage to the base carrier 16 is prevented.

As also shown in fig. 5, a through hole 32 is provided at the rear wall. The through-opening 32 passes through the first connecting flange 19 and/or the second connecting flange 20. The through-hole 32 is in particular configured as an elongated hole, which extends in the transverse direction Q. The fixing member 33 is guided through the through-hole 32, however, the fixing member does not contact the wall of the through-hole 32. For this purpose, the dimensions of the through-opening 32 in the transverse direction Q and in the height direction H are selected such that the fixing element 33, which is preferably configured as a screw, does not contact the wall of the through-opening 32 during transport and operation of the domestic dishwasher 1. That is to say, the rinsing container 2 is not supported at the fastening 33, but only at the base carrier 16. This achieves a suspended support.

Fig. 6 to 8 show different detailed views of the fixing element 33 guided through the through-opening 32. The securing element 33 is screwed into the base carrier 16. For this purpose, a receiving section 34, in particular an internal thread, can be provided on the base carrier 16. The securing element 33 is screwed into the receiving section 34. The fastening elements 33 are guided through the receiving regions 17 of the base carrier 16. The rinsing container 2, in particular the rear wall 9, does not touch the fastening 33 as explained before. This ensures that the deformation region 21 is always supported only on the base carrier 16.

The household dishwasher 1 has the following advantages. The position of the water shut-off device can remain unchanged in the base carrier 16. The weight of the domestic dishwasher 1 is not increased, since the deformation zone 21 is bent in the direction R away from the first connecting flange 19, resulting in a shortened geometry. By means of the drop-shaped recess 25, the force transmission can be optimized and the rear wall 9 is prevented from bending in the region of the connection flanges 19, 20. Additional reinforcement is achieved by the three-layer arrangement of the two connecting flanges 19, 20 and the deformation region 21. A further increase in strength is achieved by the reduced height of the connection flanges 19, 20.

The rounded geometry of the second connecting flange 20 provides support for the engagement movement during the pivoting process of the rinsing container 2 into the base carrier 16. The floating mounting of the rinsing container 2 in the region of the through-opening 32 in the transverse direction Q and the height direction H is necessary for tolerance compensation and is therefore a component of the fixed mounting in the region of the frame connection and/or articulation for the domestic dishwasher 1. The force acting in the longitudinal direction L first deforms the rear wall 9, thereby absorbing the entire force before it acts on the base carrier 16. Thereby preventing cracks from forming in the base carrier 16.

Although the present invention has been described in terms of embodiments, various modifications can be made to the invention.
