The eluent comprises one or more of petroleum ether, diethyl ether, carbon disulfide, pentane, hexane, cyclohexane and ethyl acetate. The solvent has low polarity, and can elute low polarity oil compounds while retaining high polarity compounds in the adsorption chromatographic column.

In a preferred mode, the eluent is n-hexane-ethyl acetate with the volume ratio of 9: 1.

The adsorbent of the adsorption chromatographic column comprises one of silica gel, activated carbon or alumina, has good adsorption effect, and does not influence the effective components of the fungus oil.

The oil of the chaetoceros is applied to preparing antioxidant health products. The crude honeycomb fungus oil has excellent oxidation resistance, can effectively remove free radicals, has rich sources, and is suitable for being used as an effective component of an oxidation-resistant health-care product.

The dosage form of the health care product comprises one or more of tablets, sugar-coated pills, gelatin capsules, drinkable suspensions or disintegrable pastes; it can be administered orally or topically.
