1. A carburetor, comprising:

a liquid storage part for storing a liquid composition;

an upper lid part coupled to the liquid storage part and having a through hole into which the liquid composition of the liquid storage part flows;

a lower lid portion coupled to the upper lid portion to form an aerosol-generating space together with the upper lid portion;

a liquid transfer unit disposed in the aerosol-generating space between the upper lid and the lower lid, and absorbing the liquid composition transferred from the liquid storage unit;

a sealing part which is provided with a coupling groove for supporting at least one of both side end parts of the liquid transfer unit, is arranged between the upper cover part and the lower cover part, and is connected to the through hole, thereby transferring the liquid composition flowing in from the liquid storage part to at least one of the both side end parts of the liquid transfer unit;

a heating component that heats the liquid delivery unit to generate an aerosol; and

a foot portion extending from the upper cover portion toward the lower cover portion to contact at least a portion of the liquid transfer unit and closing a portion where the joining groove of the sealing portion joins at least one of the both side end portions of the liquid transfer unit to block the liquid composition from flowing from the sealing portion toward the aerosol-generating space.

2. The vaporizer of claim 1,

an upper end of the coupling groove facing the upper cover is opened.

3. The vaporizer of claim 1,

the sealing part is coupled to the lower cover part, is disposed at both sides of the lower cover part, and extends from both sides of the lower cover part toward a center direction of the lower cover part to support both side ends of the liquid transfer unit, respectively.

4. The vaporizer of claim 1,

the liquid transfer unit is cylindrical, and the leg portion extends along at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of the liquid transfer unit so as to surround at least a part of the outer peripheral surface of the liquid transfer unit.

5. The vaporizer of claim 1,

the coupling groove surrounds at least one of the both side ends of the liquid transfer unit.

6. The vaporizer of claim 1,

the sealing portion further includes:

an upper opening connected to the through hole; and

a storage space for storing the liquid composition transferred from the upper opening and connected to the combining groove to transfer the liquid composition to at least one of the both side ends of the liquid transfer unit inserted through the combining groove.

7. The vaporizer of claim 1,

and a liquid composition absorbing member disposed between the liquid storage portion and the upper cover portion or between the upper cover portion and the sealing portion, for slowing down the flow of the liquid composition absorbed by the liquid transfer unit.

8. The vaporizer of claim 1,

the upper cover, the lower cover, and the sealing portion are made of elastic material.

9. The vaporizer of claim 1,

the heating component is in the shape of a coil or a filament and comprises at least one of nickel-chromium alloy, Corterra, tantalum, stainless steel, tungsten, nickel and titanium.

10. The vaporizer of claim 1,

the liquid transfer unit includes at least one of cotton, a silica gel core, a stainless steel mesh, and glass fiber.

11. An aerosol-generating device comprising:

an airflow inlet;

the vaporizer of any of claims 1 to 10, generating an aerosol by heating external air flowing in via the airflow inlet; and

an air flow passage for discharging the aerosol.

12. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 11,

the aerosol-generating device further includes a waterproof coating portion that is treated to be waterproof with respect to the airflow inlet.

13. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 12,

the waterproof coating part is in a net shape.

Technical Field

Embodiments of the present invention relate to a vaporizer and an aerosol-generating device including the vaporizer, and more particularly, to a vaporizer including a liquid leakage prevention structure and an aerosol-generating device including the vaporizer.

Background

In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for alternative methods to overcome the disadvantages of ordinary cigarettes. For example, there is an increasing demand for methods of generating aerosols by heating aerosol generating substances within a cigarette rather than by burning the cigarette. Therefore, studies on heated cigarettes and heated aerosol-generating devices are actively being conducted.

The aerosol-generating device may be provided with a vaporiser capable of generating an aerosol. The vaporizer has a liquid storage part, and the liquid composition in the liquid storage part is absorbed by the liquid transfer unit and heated by the heating part. The heating member heats the liquid composition and the external air to generate the aerosol. Therefore, the aerosol-generating device includes an airflow inlet through which outside air can flow into the vaporizer.

When the user uses the aerosol-generating device, the liquid composition flows from the liquid reservoir to the liquid delivery unit. When the liquid composition flows, the path along which the liquid composition flows needs to be tightly sealed.

If the path through which the liquid composition flows is not tightly sealed, leakage of the liquid composition to other structures inside the aerosol-generating device or to the outside of the aerosol-generating device may occur. The liquid composition flowing out is directed out of the vaporizer and may be directed towards the gas stream inlet of the aerosol-generating device.

When such leakage occurs repeatedly, the structure of the aerosol-generating device is contaminated, and the performance of the aerosol-generating device may be deteriorated, or the aerosol-generating device may become inoperable. In addition, when the liquid composition flows out to the air flow inlet of the aerosol-generating device, the liquid composition flowing out may give an unpleasant feeling to the user of the aerosol-generating device.
