Technical Field

The present invention relates to a covering device for a window and to a window with a covering device.

Background

Windows typically have an outer frame that is fixed to a building or to a structure. In the casing, an openable window sash with a window sash frame and often a window pane are fixedly or openably arranged. For this purpose, the openable sash is rotatably and/or tiltably supported on the casing by means of fittings.

It is also known, in particular for wooden windows, that their outer frame and openable frame are often covered on the side exposed to the weather with aluminium profiles, or sometimes also with plastic profiles, which results in what is also called an aluminium-wood window in the case of aluminium profiles. It is also known that in plastic windows, the outer frame and the openable frame are covered on the outside with aluminium profiles. Overall, the durability is increased by the use of aluminum profiles, wherein the maintenance intervals are also lengthened or eliminated.

Another recent trend is to minimize the area ratio of the window frame to the pane part of the window, in order to be able to enlarge the planar pane part, which enlarges the surface for light incidence, thereby also increasing the solar energy capture in principle. Furthermore, it is a desire of architects to make the border material of the window frame invisible outside the facade of the building for visual reasons. A uniform, modern appearance of the building is achieved in that the window is only visible through the glass part, except for the exterior trim.

Furthermore, there is another important aspect that the frame material of the window frame adversely affects the thermal insulation value of the window. Thus, a very large wood cross section is required in part at the depth of the window from the outside inwards, or the window frame or covering skin has an additional insulating core in order to achieve the desired insulation value in the outer or openable frame. However, such integrated insulation materials increase manufacturing costs and may also make later window disposal more expensive or more difficult depending on the insulation material used. Such windows are known, for example, from DE 10100101C 1 or from AT 396385B.

Disclosure of Invention

The object of the present invention is to provide a covering device for a window and a window having such a covering device, which covering device or which window meets the requirements with regard to weather protection, thermal insulation and modern vision and still has a simple construction and can be produced cost-effectively.

The object with regard to the covering device is solved by the features of claim 1.

An embodiment of the invention relates to a covering device for covering an outer frame, an outer frame and an openable frame or two openable frames of at least one window, with a first covering profile which can be fastened to the outer frame or to one of the openable frames and by means of which an exterior trim is fastened, wherein the covering profile covers the outer frame, the outer frame and at least one openable frame or two openable frames at least partially, wherein the exterior trim connected to the covering profile covers the covering profile and the outer frame, the outer frame and the openable frame or two openable frames. A simple and cost-effective covering device is thus provided, which allows a covering of an outer frame and/or an openable frame or of both openable frames with a high visual quality. In this case, flat, planar materials can be used as exterior parts with a very high visual quality. Alternatively, a three-dimensionally formed material may also be used. Furthermore, alternatively, flat materials may also be assembled in order to achieve the desired shape.

In a preferred embodiment, it is expedient if the covering profile has at least a first fastening element and optionally a second fastening element, by means of which the covering profile can be connected to the outer frame or to the openable frame. It is thus possible to provide a permanent and reliable connection, in particular in the outer region of a building, which also meets the thermal and weather-dependent requirements with regard to stability, reliability and durability.

It is therefore also advantageous if the first fastening element and the optional second fastening element are arranged on the first lateral end of the covering profile. A secure fastening is thus achieved, wherein no influence by other functions is present, since the functions are distributed over the covering profile.

It is also advantageous if the covering profile has a third fastening element, by means of which the exterior trim can be connected to the covering profile. Thus, a reliable connection with the exterior trim is achieved. The term "exterior trim" here means that the trim is arranged on the outside of the covering profile, i.e. facing away from the window. The exterior trim part can be arranged both on the outside and on the inside of the building.

It is also preferred that the third fastening element is provided on the second lateral end of the covering profile. The fastening of the covering profile itself and the connection of the exterior trim part are therefore spatially separated from one another.

It is also particularly advantageous if the covering profile has a fourth fastening element and optionally a fifth fastening element, by means of which the first sealing element and optionally the second sealing element can be connected to the covering profile. The window can thus be sealed outwards.

According to a further concept according to the invention, it is also advantageous if, in addition, a fastening profile and/or a second covering profile is provided. Thus, it is possible to desirably fix the exterior trim, such as to the building interface, to the outer frame or to the openable frame or to bridge a plurality of outer frames or a plurality of openable frames.

It is also advantageous if the fastening profile and/or the second covering profile has at least a first fastening element and a second fastening element. This serves for the fastening of the fastening profile or the second covering profile itself and for the fastening of the exterior trim.

It is therefore also advantageous if the first fastening element of the first fastening profile and/or of the second covering profile is used to connect the fastening profile and/or the second covering profile to the outer frame or the openable frame.

It is also advantageous if the second fastening element of the fastening profile and/or of the second covering profile is used to connect the exterior trim with the fastening profile and/or the second covering profile.

It is also preferred that at least one of the fastening elements is designed as at least one tab and/or as at least one recess. A simple assembly is thus possible and the cover profile and the fastening profile can each be produced in a simple manner. For example, such profiles can be manufactured as extruded profiles composed of plastic or metal, for example aluminum.

It is also advantageous if the at least one web projects in a lateral direction or in a normal direction, wherein the lateral direction lies in a plane spanned by the window surface of the window and the normal direction is oriented perpendicular to the window surface. Thus, a secure fixation is possible, in particular if one tab projects in the lateral direction and the second tab projects in the normal direction. Thus, it can be fixed to an outer frame or to an openable frame or elsewhere by means of the corners.

It is also advantageous if the window surface is defined by a pane or an insert provided in the casing or in the openable frame.

It is also advantageous if the at least one recess is designed to open in the lateral direction or in the normal direction. Thus, a reliable and space-saving fixing of the exterior trim part in particular can also be achieved.

It is also expedient if a filler and/or a heat-insulating material is provided between the exterior trim and the outer frame and/or the openable frame and/or the covering profile and/or the fastening profile. This makes it easier to comply with the energy boundary conditions on buildings and does not create cavities that are too large, which are disadvantageous in many respects.

It is also advantageous if the exterior trim part has a component oriented substantially perpendicular to the window surface, by the length of which a space for the filling and/or insulation material can be predetermined.

Advantageously, the exterior trim piece may be composed of the following materials or mixtures or combinations thereof: metal, aluminum, plastic, wood and/or glass. This can advantageously also be regarded as an independent invention which can be understood independently of the features of the independent claim 1.

It is also advantageous if the covering profile has a plurality of openings, such as holes or slits or the like, for draining water, such as condensed water and/or rain water. This can advantageously also be regarded as an independent invention which can be understood independently of the features of the independent claim 1.

The object with respect to a window with a covering device is solved by the features of claim 19.

An embodiment of the invention relates to a window, in particular with an outer frame and/or in particular with at least one openable frame, wherein a covering device according to any of the preceding claims is provided.

It is particularly advantageous to integrate drainage means in the exterior trim and/or in the at least one covering profile in order to be able to drain accumulated water from the exterior trim and/or from the at least one covering profile.

It is therefore expedient if the drainage device has at least one pipe which is embedded in the exterior trim and/or in the at least one covering profile and which conducts water away from the exterior trim and/or from the at least one covering profile.

The invention also advantageously relates to a window, in particular with an outer frame and/or in particular with at least one openable frame, wherein an additional element is embedded in or connected to the outer frame and/or in the openable frame in order to improve the stability of the outer frame and/or the openable frame. This is advantageous in particular in the following cases: the profile of the outer frame and/or the openable frame is reduced in its dimensions so as to be visually narrow.

It is also advantageous here if the additional element is a reinforcing profile, which is preferably made of metal and is connected to the outer frame and/or to the openable frame and in particular is embedded in a recess of the outer frame and/or the openable frame. This can advantageously also be regarded as an independent invention which can be understood independently of the features of the independent claim 19.

Further advantageous embodiments are described by the following description of the figures and by the dependent claims.

Detailed Description

Fig. 1 shows a partial section through a covering device for a window 1, in particular in an opening 2 of a building 3, according to a first embodiment of the invention. The window 1 is arranged in an opening 2 of a building 3. The window 1 can also be arranged in other ways without affecting the versatility. Only a part of the building 3, the opening 2 and the window 1, which are shown in cross-section, can be seen from the arrangement in fig. 1.

The window 1 has an outer frame 4, which outer frame 4 is arranged in the opening 2 of the building 3 and is fixedly connected to the building 3 in order to position the window 1 sealingly in the opening 2 of the building 3. In order to seal the window 1 against the building 3, a sealing element 8 is provided, which sealing element 8 bears sealingly not only against the outer frame 4 but also against the building 3 in the gap between the outer frame 4 and the building 3. The outer frame 4 is formed by outer frame profiles 6, which outer frame profiles 6 are connected to one another and form the outer frame 4 as a frame element.

The window 1 also has an openable frame 5, which openable frame 5 is arranged in the outer frame 4. To this end, the openable frame 5 may be displaceably, such as in particular tiltable and/or swingable and/or movably arranged in the outer frame 4. In the present embodiment of fig. 1, without affecting the versatility, the following settings are based: the outer frame 4 is designed to be fixed and the openable frame 5 can be swung to the right, see arrow 9. The opening frame 5 is formed by opening frame profiles 7, which opening frame profiles 7 are connected to each other and form the opening frame 5 as a frame element.

The outer frame profiles 6 of the outer frame 4 and/or the openable frame profiles 7 of the openable frame 5 are advantageously made of wood, plastic, metal such as aluminium or similar materials or of a combination of these materials or of a mixture of these materials as a hybrid or composite material. If necessary, reinforcing additives, such as fibre portions, cores, etc., can also be provided.

The openable frame 5 has a recess 10, which recess 10 is open on one side for receiving a window pane 11, which window pane 11 is fixed in the recess 10 by means of a fixing element 12. For this purpose, the fastening element 12 is screwed, for example, to the openable frame 5, see the screw 13. The pane 11 is arranged sealingly in relation to the openable frame 5, for which purpose a sealing member 14 is arranged between the pane 11 and the openable frame 5.

On the outside of the outer frame 4, a covering profile 15 is provided, which covering profile 15 is fixedly connected to the outer frame 4 and extends laterally from the outer frame 4 via the openable frame 5 as far as the edge region of the window pane 11 and also covers this edge region of the window pane 11.

In fig. 1, an exterior trim part 16, such as plaster, plate or the like, can be seen in part on the outside, which exterior trim part 16 extends over the covering surface of the covering profile 15, particularly preferably over the entire covering surface of the covering profile 15. Preferably, the outer trim 16 located on the outside also contains an optional thermal insulation 17. Here, the thickness of the thermal insulation 17 and, if necessary, also the material of the thermal insulation 17 can preferably be selected independently of the covering profile 15 used.

The covering profile 15 is designed such that it has at least one fastening element 18 on one of its two lateral ends 20, in the present embodiment the covering profile 15 has two fastening elements 18, 19 on the lateral ends 20. However, more than two such fastening elements 18, 19 may also be provided. The fastening element or the fastening elements 18, 19 serves to fasten the covering profile 15 to the outer frame 4. Fig. 1 shows that the fastening element 18 is a web extending in the lateral direction, which is screwed to the outer frame 4 by means of the screw 13. Fig. 1 also shows that the fastening element 19 is a tab extending in the normal direction, which is screwed to the outer frame by means of the screw 13.

Here, the lateral direction 21 is defined as a direction parallel to the plane of the window glass 11. The normal direction 22 is defined as a direction oriented perpendicular to the plane of the window glass 11.

The fastening element 18 is here perpendicular to the fastening element 19, so that both fastening elements 18, 19 can be screwed onto the corners of the outer frame 4. As an alternative to screwing, other connecting means, such as riveting, clamping or gluing, etc., can also be used. For this purpose, suitable connecting elements can be used instead of the screws 13 shown.

On the other lateral end 23, a further fastening element, namely a third fastening element 24 is provided, which third fastening element 24 serves, for example, for fastening the exterior trim 16. The third fastening element 24 is designed here as a recess, which is designed to be unilaterally open in the normal direction 22. In this recess, for example, components of the exterior trim 16 or fastening elements can engage. The recess is preferably a groove in the cover profile 15.

Adjacent to the third fastening element 24, a fourth fastening element 25 is provided, which fourth fastening element 25 serves, for example, for fastening a sealing element 26. The fourth fastening element 25 is designed here as a depression which is designed to be open on one side in the normal direction 22 and open in the direction of the pane 11. In this recess, for example, a component of the sealing element 26 can engage in order to fix the sealing element 26 to the covering profile 15. The recess is preferably a groove in the cover profile 15. The sealing element 26 is intended to abut against the pane 11 when the window is in the closed state.

A fifth fastening element 27 is also provided on the first lateral end 20, which fifth fastening element 27 serves, for example, for fastening a sealing element 28. Here, the fifth fastening element 27 is designed as a recess which is designed to be one-sided open in the lateral direction 21 and open towards the openable frame 5. In this recess, for example, a component of the sealing element 28 can engage in order to fix the sealing element 28 to the covering profile 15. The recess is preferably a groove in the cover profile 15. The sealing element 28 is intended to abut against the outer frame 4 and against the openable frame 5 in the closed state of the window.

Between the fourth fastening element 25 and the fifth fastening element 27, a straight section 29 of the covering profile 15 is provided, which straight section 29 is arranged opposite the fastening element 12 and covers the fastening element 12.

The exterior trim 16, together with the covering profile 15, covers the entire window frame, including the casing 4 and the openable frame 5, from the outside, so that the building 3 has windows installed without a visible frame from the outside.

Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of a covering device 101 according to the invention, wherein the covering device 101 of fig. 2 is substantially identical to the covering device 100 of fig. 1, wherein there is a variation in the embodiment of fig. 2 with respect to the third fastening element 24 of fig. 1. Other features of fig. 2 are the same as the embodiment of fig. 1, so that reference can be made to the description relating thereto.

The third fastening element 124, which is provided at the other lateral end 23 and is used, for example, for fastening the upholstery 16, is likewise designed as a depression, but the depression is designed to be open on one side in the lateral direction 21. On or in this recess, for example, components of the exterior trim 16 or fastening elements can be joined to fasten the exterior trim 16. The recess is preferably a groove in the cover profile 15. In fig. 2, it can be seen that one end of the exterior trim part 16 rests against the recess of the fastening element 124 from the outside and is glued there, for example.

The cover profile 15 is accordingly designed such that an end profile or receiving profile, i.e. an open fastening element 24, 124 as a support or as a bearing surface, is provided in the end of the projection.

The exterior trim part 16 can be fastened to the covering profile 15 of the casing 4 in various ways, for example by screwing or clamping. Preferably, the covering profile 15 can be fastened to the outer side of the outer frame 4 or the outer frame profile 6 or from the inside. The advantage of the outer fixation is that manufacturing tolerances are less critical. The advantage of the inner fixing is that there are more areas of the outer frame profile 6 that are protected from moisture. The illustrated sealing element 28 therefore does not have to protrude as far outward and the cover profile can also be designed to be simpler if necessary.

Fig. 3 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a cover device 102 according to the invention, wherein the cover device 102 of fig. 3 is substantially identical to the cover device 100 of fig. 1, wherein the arrangement of the exterior trim part 16 of fig. 1 is modified in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 3. Other features of fig. 3 are the same as the embodiment of fig. 1, so that reference can be made to the description relating thereto.

In fig. 3, an exterior trim part 116, such as plaster, plate or the like, can be seen in part, which laterally adjoins the covering surface of the covering profile 15 and is located on the outside. Here, the exterior trim part 116 has a closure profile 117, which closure profile 117 is designed substantially in the form of a double L and has two laterally projecting webs 118, 119, which define a central web 120. The closure profile 117 laterally covers the exterior trim 116, wherein the webs 119 of the closure element 117 are arranged such that the webs 119 are arranged on the outer frame 4 on the lateral extension of the fastening element 18 and are preferably fixed there to the outer frame 4. Preferably, the exterior trim piece 116 on the outside also includes an optional thermal insulation 17. The thickness of the heat insulation 17 and, if appropriate, also the material of the heat insulation 17 can be selected here preferably independently of the covering profile 15 used.

The implementation of the substructure connection can be carried out according to fig. 3. In this case, in a different manner, a closure profile 117, for example an aluminum profile, is attached in the lower region of the covering profile 15, for example as a window edge, to the object covering the exterior trim 116, so that water which has accumulated inside the covering profile 15 can be drained off to the outside onto the surface of the covering object. This can be achieved, for example, by holes or slits provided in the covering profile 15.

Fig. 3 shows two such holes or slits 50, 51, through which water can flow out, depending on the arrangement of these holes or slits 50, 51. Thus, for example, only holes or slots 50 or only holes or slots 51 or both can be provided. The holes or slits 50 open in a normal direction parallel to the direction 22. The holes or slits 51 open in a lateral direction parallel to the direction 21. Fig. 3 shows the openable frame 5 and the outer frame 4 on the lower side of the window frame, so that the direction 21 is oriented in the vertical direction. Then the direction 22 is the horizontal direction. This means that the hole or slit 50 or a plurality of holes or slits extends in the horizontal direction and the hole or slit 51 or a plurality of holes or slits 51 extends in the vertical direction.

Fig. 4 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a cover device 103 according to the invention, wherein the cover device 103 of fig. 4 is substantially identical to the cover device 100 of fig. 1, wherein the arrangement of the exterior trim part 16 of fig. 1 is modified in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 4. Other features of fig. 4 are the same as the embodiment of fig. 1, so that reference may be made to the description relating thereto.

In fig. 4, an exterior trim 216, such as plaster, plate or the like, can be seen in part on the covering surface of the covering profile 15, in particular preferably over the entire covering surface of the covering profile 15. Here, the exterior trim 216 is closed or covered by an L-shaped closure profile 217. Preferably, the exterior trim 216 on the outside also has an optional thermal insulation 17. The thickness of the heat insulation 17 and, if appropriate, also the material of the heat insulation 17 can preferably be selected independently of the covering profile 15 used.

The L-shaped closure profile 217 is joined to the fastening element 24 designed as a depression in the normal direction 22 and is preferably fixed there. The closure profile 217 covers the exterior trim 216 from the side.

The implementation of the lower structural connection can be carried out analogously to the implementation of the upper and/or side structural connection according to fig. 4. That is to say, the exterior trim 216 extends over the covering profile 15. Here too, a closure profile 217 for the exterior trim 216 is to be recommended.

Fig. 4 also shows a drainage device 250, which drainage device 250 has at least one tube 251 or a plurality of tubes 251 and a hole 252 or a plurality of holes 252 in the covering profile 15, through which water can drain out of the covering profile 15. For this purpose, the tubes 251 are arranged on the extension of the bores 252 or each of the tubes 251 is arranged on the extension of one of the bores 252. The holes 251 may also form a channel system.

The drainage of accumulated water may be achieved by the tube 251 or tubes 251 respectively embedded in the exterior trim 216. These tubes may lead directly to the outer surface of the exterior trim 216, may run along the window 1 and/or the house wall and exit the exterior trim 216 at other locations. They may also extend into other objects, such as pipes.

Such an embodiment may advantageously achieve the same advantages as in the connection of the side and upper structures, in particular with respect to the insulation and the appearance of the window.

Fig. 5 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a cover device 104 according to the invention, wherein the cover device 104 of fig. 5 is substantially identical to the cover device 100 of fig. 1 and the cover device 101 of fig. 2, respectively, wherein the arrangement of the exterior trim 16 of fig. 1 is modified in the exemplary embodiment of fig. 5. Other features of fig. 5 are the same as the embodiments of fig. 1 and 2, respectively, so that reference may be made to the description relating thereto.

Fig. 5 shows, in part, an exterior finish 316, such as plaster, plate or the like, which is located on the covering surface of the covering profile 15, in particular preferably extends over the entire covering surface of the covering profile 15. Here, the exterior trim 316 is closed or covered by a double L-shaped closure profile 317. Preferably, the exterior trim piece 316 on the outside also includes an optional thermal insulator 17. The thickness of the heat insulation 17 and, if necessary, the material of the heat insulation 17 can preferably be selected independently of the covering profile 15 used.

The double L-shaped closure profile 317 engages in the lateral direction 21 into the fastening element 24 designed as a depression and is preferably fixed there. The closure member 317 laterally covers the exterior trim 316.

The implementation of the lower structural connection can be carried out analogously to the implementation of the upper and/or side structural connection according to fig. 5. That is to say, the exterior trim 316 extends over the covering profile 15. Here too, a closure profile 317 for the exterior trim 316 is to be recommended.

Similar to the exemplary embodiment in fig. 4, the drainage of the accumulated water can also be achieved by at least one pipe or a plurality of pipes, which can be embedded in the exterior trim 316 and can be arranged, for example, on an extension of a hole or a slit or the like in the covering profile 15. The tube or tubes may lead directly to the outer surface of the exterior trim piece 316, may extend along the window 1 and/or the house wall and exit the exterior trim piece 316 at other locations. They may also be routed to other objects, such as pipes.

Such an embodiment may advantageously achieve the same advantages as in the connection of the side and upper structures, in particular with regard to the insulation and the appearance of the window.

Fig. 6 shows a partial cross-sectional view of another covering device 499 according to the invention for a window 401 located in an opening 402, in particular of a building 403, according to another embodiment of the invention. Window 401 is placed in an opening 402 of building 403. Without affecting the versatility, the window 401 may also be arranged in other ways. Only a section of the building 403, the opening 402 and a part of the window 401 can be seen from the arrangement in fig. 6.

The window 401 has an outer frame 404, which outer frame 404 is arranged in the opening 402 of the building 403 and is fixedly connected to the building 403 in order to position the window 401 sealingly in the opening 402 of the building. In order to seal the window 401 against the building 403, a sealing element 408 is provided, which sealing element 408 is in sealing contact with both the outer frame 404 and the building 403 in the gap between the outer frame 404 and the building 403. The window 401 also has an openable frame 405, which is disposed in the outer frame 404. For this purpose, the openable frame 405 is displaceably, such as in particular tiltably and/or swingably and/or movably, arranged in the outer frame 404. In the present embodiment of fig. 6, the non-affecting versatility is based on the following design: the outer frame 404 is designed to be fixed and the openable frame 405 is swingable to the right, see arrow 409. The openable frame 405 is formed by openable frame profiles 407, which openable frame profiles 407 are connected to each other and form the openable frame 405 as a frame element.

The outer frame profile 406 of the outer frame 404 and/or the openable frame profile 407 of the openable frame 405 are advantageously made of wood, plastic, metal (such as aluminum) or similar materials or of a combination of these materials or of a mixture of these materials as a hybrid or composite material. If necessary, reinforcing additives, such as fibre portions, cores, etc., can also be provided.

The openable frame 405 has a recess 410, the recess 410 being one-sided open for receiving a window glass 411, the window glass 411 being fixed in the recess 410 by a fixing element 412. For this purpose, the fastening element 412 is screwed, for example, to the openable frame 405, see screw 413. The window pane 411 is arranged sealingly in relation to the openable frame 405, for which purpose a sealing member 414 is arranged between the window pane 411 and the openable frame 405.

On the outside of the casing 404, a covering profile 415 is provided, which covering profile 415 is fixedly connected to the casing 404 and extends laterally from the casing 404 via the openable frame 405 to an edge region of the window 411 and also covers this edge region of the window 411.

In addition, a fastening profile 450 is provided at a distance from the covering profile 415, which fastening profile 450 is likewise fixedly connected to the outer frame 404, see the screws 413.

In fig. 6, an exterior trim 416, such as plaster, plate or the like, is partially visible on the outside, which exterior trim 416 extends as far as the fastening profile 450 and is connected to the fastening profile 450. Furthermore, an exterior trim 451 is provided between the covering profile 415 and the fastening profile 450, which exterior trim 415 substantially covers both the covering profile 415 and the fastening profile 450. The exterior trim piece 451 is preferably designed here as a plate. An optional thermal insulation 452 is provided both between the decor 451 and the covering profile 415 and between the decor 451 and the casing 404. Preferably, the exterior trim piece 416 also includes an optional thermal insulation 417. The thickness of the thermal insulation 417, 452 and, if appropriate, the material of the thermal insulation 417, 452 can preferably be selected here independently of the covering profile 415 used.

In this recess, for example, a component or a section of the exterior trim 551 can engage in order to fix the exterior trim 551 between the fastening elements 424 and 562. The recess is preferably a groove in the fastening profile 550.

Fig. 6 and 7 show covering profiles with additional fastening profiles for the exterior trim part. The exterior trim part can be made of various, individually selected materials, for example metal, plastic, wood and/or glass.

Preferably, the exterior trim is fixed with the covering profile and the at least one further fastening profile. The exterior trim part can optionally also extend only in the region of the window profile and can optionally also continue at the wall connection. A filling and/or heat insulating material can be embedded below the outer covering, i.e. on the inside of the outer covering.

The choice of filling and/or insulating material can in principle be made in each embodiment according to the specific requirements.

The exemplary embodiment of fig. 6 has the advantage that only flat, planar exterior trim parts are required, which can be produced simply and cost-effectively. However, alternatively, a three-dimensionally modeled exterior trim piece can also be used. The embodiment of fig. 7 has the advantage that the thickness and shape of the exterior trim piece can be chosen substantially freely. In particular, the thickness of the thermal insulation 552 can thus be adjusted, for example, such as to meet legal requirements.

Fig. 8 to 11 show further embodiments in which two windows are provided which are arranged next to one another, wherein the embodiment of fig. 8 and 9 is designed with respect to a mirror plane between two adjacent outer frames and the embodiment of fig. 10 and 11 is designed with respect to a mirror plane in an intermediate position of a profile arranged between two outer frames. The embodiment of fig. 8 here corresponds to a symmetrical arrangement of two windows like that of fig. 6. The embodiment of fig. 9 also corresponds to a symmetrical arrangement of two windows like that of fig. 7. The embodiment of fig. 10 here corresponds to a symmetrical arrangement of two windows with a profile arranged between them, like in fig. 6. The embodiment of fig. 11 also corresponds to a symmetrical arrangement of two windows with a profile arranged between them, like in fig. 7.

Fig. 8 shows two windows 601 each having an outer frame 604 and an openable frame 605. The outer frames 604 abut each other and are connected to each other by the connecting members 699. The openable frame can tilt and/or swing according to arrow 609. Window 601 is arranged mirror-symmetrically with respect to mirror plane 698. Alternatively, the window can also be arranged non-mirror-symmetrically, for example by different wood widths or by a combination of windows with and without sash profiles.

Covering profiles 615 are provided on the two outer frames 604, as shown in fig. 2 and 6, and fig. 8 is not described in this connection. Reference is accordingly made to the description relating thereto. Cover profile 615 is likewise arranged mirror-symmetrically with respect to mirror surface 698. As described above with respect to the previous figures, they are connected with the respective outer frames 604 and their fastening elements 624 face each other. The fastening elements 624 here form laterally open recesses facing one another, in which an exterior trim 690 can be embedded, see fig. 8. Between the upholstery 690 and the covering profile 615 and the outer frame 604, respectively, there is optionally provided a filling and/or insulation material 691.

Fig. 9 shows two windows 701 each having an outer frame 704 and an openable frame 705. The outer frames 704 are attached to each other and connected to each other by the connecting members 799. Openable box 705 can tilt and/or swing as per arrow 709. The window 701 is arranged to be mirror symmetric about the mirror plane 798.

On both outer frames 704, covering profiles 715 are provided, as shown in fig. 1 and 7. Accordingly, reference may be made to the description relating thereto, and in this regard no separate description is provided with respect to fig. 9. The covering profiles 715 are likewise arranged mirror-symmetrically with respect to the mirror surface 798. As described above with respect to the previous figures, they are connected to the respective outer frame 704 and their fastening elements 724 face each other. The fastening elements 724 here form open recesses which are open aligned in the normal direction 722 and in which exterior trimming pieces 790 can be embedded, see fig. 9. Between the exterior trimming 790 and the covering profile 715 and the casing 704, respectively, there is optionally provided a filling and/or insulating material 791. The exterior trim 790 is preferably formed by two flat profiles 780 oriented in the normal direction 722 and a flat profile 781 oriented in the lateral direction 721, which are connected to one another at their contact points by an angle profile 782.

Fig. 8 and 9 show an embodiment in which two outer frames and two openable frames of windows disposed adjacently are covered by exterior trims, respectively. The outer frame profiles of the two outer frames adjoin one another and are connected to one another.

Fig. 10 and 11 show further alternative embodiments in which the profile profiles of the outer frames of the two windows do not lie directly against one another, but at least one further profile or one further structural body is provided between the two outer frames.

Accordingly, in fig. 10, at least one further structural body 650 is provided between the two outer frames 604, which structural body is sealed off from the outer frames 604 by means of a sealing element 651, and the gap between them is thermally insulated by means of a heat-insulating element 652.

Furthermore, in fig. 11 at least one further structural body 750 is provided between the two outer frames 704, which structural body 750 is sealed with respect to the outer frames 704 by sealing elements 751 and the gap between them is thermally insulated by insulating elements 752.

The further structure may be, for example, a wall section, a wooden column or a facade element or the like. In the case of using a glass plate as an exterior trim, an approximately continuous glass appearance can be achieved.

Fig. 11 also shows an angle profile, as in fig. 9. The outer covering part can therefore consist of a flat material and does not have to be chamfered. Furthermore, the thickness of the insulation can be adjusted, for example, to meet legal requirements.

Figures 12 and 13 show further alternative embodiments in which one arrangement of two windows with a further structure disposed between them can be seen, similar to that in figures 10 and 11. However, to reduce the frame width, the outer frames 804, 904 are reduced in width relative to the designs of fig. 10 and 11.

Therefore, the visible width of the outer frame is kept as small as possible. This ensures as small a visible width of the window frame as possible, in particular in interconnected windows like those shown in fig. 8 and 9 or in windows with a further structure between the two outer frames. However, the small visible width of the casing may result in a considerable reduction of the fastening area for the window attachment. To provide the desired strength of the outer frame, stationary attachment elements 840, 940 may be provided on the outer frames 804, 904. These additional elements 840, 940 can be located at different positions on the outer frames 804, 904, for example, in the direction of the structure. Optionally, additional elements may be provided on the openable frame that improve the stability of the openable frame. In this case, it is preferred that the additional element is a reinforcing profile, which is preferably made of metal or the like and is connected to the outer frame and/or to the openable frame and is in particular embedded in a recess of the outer frame and/or the openable frame.

Figures 14 and 15 show two further embodiments of a window with two adjacently arranged sashes and no fixed intermediate pillar in the mullion area.

Fig. 14 shows a partial section through a further covering device 1000 according to the invention, in particular a window 1001 in a not shown opening of a building, according to a further embodiment of the invention.

The window 1001 has a first sash 1002 with an openable frame 1003 and a further sash 1004 with a further openable frame 1005, wherein the two openable frames 1003, 1005 are shown without a central pillar in the mullion region.

Typically, a surrounding outer frame is provided around the openable frames 1003, 1005 as shown, but this outer frame is not shown. The window 1001 has a first openable frame 1003, which openable frame 1003 is displaceably, such as in particular tiltably and/or swingably and/or movably, in particular arranged on a not shown outer frame. The window 1001 also has a second openable frame 1005, which second openable frame 1005 is likewise displaceably, such as in particular tiltably and/or swingably and/or movably arranged in an outer frame, not shown.

In the present embodiment of fig. 14, the versatility is not affected, based on the following design: the not shown outer frame is designed to be fixed or alternatively can be omitted and the respective openable frame 1003, 1005 can be moved to the right, see arrow 1009. The openable frames 1003, 1005 are constituted by openable frame profiles 1006, 1007, respectively, which openable frame profiles 1006, 1007 are connected to each other and form a respective openable frame 1003, 1005, respectively, as a frame element.

The openable frame profiles 1006, 1007 of the openable frames 1003, 1005 are advantageously made of wood, plastic, metal (such as aluminium) or similar materials or of a combination of these materials or of a mixture of these materials as a hybrid or composite material. If necessary, reinforcing additives, such as fibre portions, cores, etc., can also be provided.

The openable frames 1003, 1005 each have a recess 1010, the recess 1010 being open on one side for receiving a window glass 1011, the window glass 1011 being fixed in the recess 1010 by a fixing element 1012. For this purpose, the fastening elements 1012 are, for example, screwed to the openable frame 1003, see screws 1013, or glued to the openable frame 1005. The respective window 1011 is arranged in a sealing manner with respect to the respective openable frame 1003, 1005, for which purpose a sealing 1014 is provided between the respective window 1011 and the respective openable frame 1003, 1005.

On the outside of the opening frame 1005, a first cover profile 1015 and a second cover profile 1050 are provided, which two profiles 1015, 1050 are respectively fixedly connected to the opening frame 1005 and extend laterally from the opening frame 1005. Here, the first covering profile 1015 also extends over the openable frame 1003 to the edge region of the window 1011, which edge region 1011 is likewise covered.

A second cover profile 1050, which is arranged at a distance from the first cover profile 1015, also extends in the lateral direction to the other pane 1011, which is likewise covered in the edge region.

A first cover profile 1015 and a second cover profile 1050 are fixedly attached to the openable frame 1005, see screws 1013. In an alternative embodiment, which is not shown, first cover profile 1015 and second cover profile 1050 are realized by a single cover profile, wherein the gap between first cover profile 1015 and second cover profile 1050 in openable frame 1005 is closed by the single cover profile.

In fig. 14, it can be seen that an exterior trim 1016, for example a sheet metal or the like, is provided between the first cover profile 1015 and the second cover profile 1050. The exterior trim 1016 substantially covers not only the covering profile 1015 but also the covering profile 1050. The exterior trim 1016 is preferably designed here as a plate. An optional thermal insulation 1017 is provided between the exterior trim 1016 and the cover profiles 1015 and 1050, respectively.

The first cover profile 1015 is designed such that it has at least one fastening element 1018 on one of its two lateral ends 1020, in the present embodiment the first cover profile 1015 has two fastening elements 1018, 1019 on the lateral ends 1020. More than two such fastening elements 1018, 1019 may be provided. The fastening element or these fastening elements 1018, 1019 serve to fix the first covering profile 1015 on the openable frame 1005. Fig. 14 shows that fastening element 1018 is a tab extending in lateral direction 1021, which is screwed to openable frame 1005 by means of screw 1013. Fig. 14 also shows that the fastening element 1019 is a tab extending in the normal direction 1022, which is screwed to the openable frame 1005 by means of a screw 1013.

Here, the lateral direction 1021 is defined as a direction parallel to the plane of the window glass 1011. Normal direction 1022 is defined as a direction oriented perpendicular to the plane of window glass 1011.

The fastening element 1018 here projects perpendicularly to the fastening element 1019, so that both fastening elements 1018, 1019 can be screwed onto the corners of the openable frame 1005. As an alternative to screwing, other connecting means, such as riveting, clamping or gluing, etc., can also be used. For this purpose, suitable connection means are used instead of the screws shown.

On the other lateral end 1023 of the first covering profile 1015, a further fastening element, namely a third fastening element 1024 is provided, which third fastening element 1024 serves, for example, for fastening the exterior trim 1016. Here, the third fastening element 1024 is designed as a recess which is designed to be unilaterally open in the lateral direction 1021. In this recess, for example, components or sections of the exterior trim 1016 or fastening elements can engage in order to fasten the exterior trim 1016. The depression is preferably a groove in the first cover profile 1015.

Second covering profile 1050 is designed such that it has at least one fastening element 1052 on one of its two lateral ends 1051. In the present exemplary embodiment, the first covering profile 1015 also has only one fastening element 1052 at the lateral end 1051. More than one such fastening element 1052 may be provided. Fastening elements 1052 are used to secure the second cover profile 1050 to the openable frame 1005. Fig. 14 shows that the fastening element 1052 is a tab extending in the lateral direction 1021, which is screwed to the openable frame 1005 by means of a screw 1013. Optionally, a tab extending along the normal direction 1022 may also be provided as a further fastening element, which may be screwed to the openable frame 1005 by means of a screw 1013. As an alternative to screwing, other connecting means, such as riveting, clamping or gluing, etc., can also be used. For this purpose, suitable connecting elements are used instead of the screws shown.

In the other lateral end 1055 of the second cover profile 1050, a further fastening element 1056 is provided, which further fastening element 1056 serves, for example, to fasten the exterior trim 1016. Here, the further fastening element 1056 is designed as a recess which is designed to be unilaterally open in the lateral direction 1021. In this recess, for example, components or sections of the exterior trim 1016 or fastening elements can engage in order to fasten the exterior trim 1016. The depression is preferably a groove in the first cover profile 1015. The recesses 1056 and 1024 are open toward one another and accommodate edge regions of the flat exterior trim 1016.

On the first lateral end 1020 of the cover profile 1015, a fifth fastening element 1027 is furthermore provided, which fifth fastening element 1027 serves, for example, to fasten the sealing element 1028. Here, the fifth fastening element 1027 is designed as a recess which is designed to be one-sided open in the lateral direction 1021 and open towards the openable frame 1003. In this recess, for example, a component of the sealing element 1028 can engage in order to fix the sealing element 1028 on the covering profile 1015. The depression is preferably a groove in the cover profile 1015. The sealing member 1028 is adapted to abut against the openable frame 1003 and against the openable frame 1005 when the window is in the closed position.

Adjacent to the third fastening element 1024, a fourth fastening element 1025 is provided, which fourth fastening element 1025 is used, for example, to fasten a sealing element 1026. Here, the fourth fastening element 1025 is designed as a depression which is designed to be unilaterally open in the normal direction 1022 and open in the direction of the pane 1011. In this recess, for example, a component of the sealing element 1026 can engage in order to fasten the sealing element 1026 to the covering profile 1015. The depression is preferably a groove in the cover profile 1015. The sealing element 1026 is intended to abut against the window pane 1011 when the window is in the closed state.

Between fourth fastening element 1025 and fifth fastening element 1027, a straight section 1029 of covering profile 1015 is provided, which straight section 1029 is arranged opposite to fastening element 1012 and covers fastening element 1012.

The second cover profile 1050 has a further fastening element 1057, which fastening element 1057 serves, for example, to fasten the sealing element 1058. The fourth fastening element 1057 is here designed as a depression which is designed to be open on one side in the normal direction 1022 and open in the direction of the pane 1011. In this recess, for example, a component of the sealing element 1058 can engage in order to fix the sealing element 1058 to the covering profile 1050. The depression is preferably a groove in the cover profile 1050. The sealing element 1058 is intended to abut against the window pane 1011 when the window is in the closed state.

The exterior trim pieces 416 and 451 together with the covering profile 415 cover the entire window frame with the outer frame 404 and the openable frame 405, seen from the outside, so that the building 403 has windows installed without a visible frame, seen from the outside.

Fig. 15 shows another embodiment in which the exterior trim is not composed of a flat element, but of an assembly element, similar to that in fig. 9. For this purpose, the recesses 1124, 1156 are designed to be open in the normal direction and support the exterior piece 1190. The exterior trim 1190 is preferably formed by two flat profiles 1180 oriented in the normal direction 1122 and a flat profile 1181 oriented in the lateral direction 1121, which are connected to one another at their contact points by an angle profile 1182. In other respects, reference may be made to the description of FIG. 14 for additional details.

Fig. 16 shows a partial cross-section of a covering device for a window 1201 according to a sixteenth embodiment of the invention, in particular in an opening 1202 of a building 1203. Without affecting the versatility, the window 1201 may also be arranged in other ways. From this arrangement in fig. 16 only a section of the building 1203, the opening 1202 and a part of the window 1201 is visible.

The window 1201 has an outer frame 1204, which outer frame 1204 is arranged in an opening 1202 of a building 1203 and is fixedly connected to the building 1203 in order to sealingly position the window 1201 in the opening 1202 of the building 1203. In order to seal the window 1201 against the building 1203, a sealing element 1208 is provided, which sealing element 1208 bears sealingly against both the outer frame 1204 and the building 1203 in the gap between the outer frame 1204 and the building 1203. The outer frame 1204 consists of outer frame profiles 1206, which outer frame profiles 1206 are connected to each other and form the outer frame 1204 as a frame element.

The window 1201 does not have an openable frame provided in the outer frame in this embodiment. In the present embodiment of fig. 16, the versatility is not affected, based on the following design: the outer frame 1204 is designed to be fixed and not openable.

The outer frame profile 1206 of the outer frame 1204 is advantageously made of wood, plastic, metal (e.g. aluminum) or similar material or of a combination of these materials or of a mixture of these materials as a hybrid or composite material. If necessary, reinforcing additives, such as fibre portions, cores, etc., can also be provided.

The outer frame 1204 has a recess 1210 for receiving a window 1211, which window 1211 is fixed in the recess 1210 by means of a fixing element 1212. For this purpose, the fastening element 1212 is screwed, for example, to the outer frame 1204, see screws 1213. The window 1211 is arranged in a sealing manner with respect to the outer frame 1204, for which purpose a seal 1214 is arranged between the window 1211 and the outer frame 1204.

On the outside of the casing 1204, a cover profile 1215 is provided, which cover profile 1215 is fixedly connected to the casing 1204 and extends laterally from the casing 1204 as far as the edge region of the pane 1211 and likewise covers this edge region of the pane 1211.

Partially visible in fig. 16 is an exterior trim 1216, such as plaster, plate or the like, which exterior trim 1216 extends over the covering surface of the covering profile 1215, in particular preferably over the entire covering surface of the covering profile 1215. Preferably, the exterior trim 1216 also includes an optional thermal insulation 1217. Here, the thickness of the thermal insulation 1217 and, if necessary, the material of the thermal insulation 1217 can preferably be selected independently of the covering profile 1215 used.

Cover profile 1215 is designed such that it has at least one fastening element 1218 on one of its two lateral ends 1220, in the present embodiment cover profile 1215 has two fastening elements 1218, 1219 on lateral ends 1220. More than two such fastening elements 1218, 1219 may be provided. The fastening element and the fastening elements 1218, 1219 serve to fix the covering profile 1215 to the outer frame 1204. Fig. 16 shows that the fastening element 1218 is a tab extending in the lateral direction, which is screwed to the outer frame by means of a screw 1213. Fig. 16 also shows that fastening element 1219 is a tab extending in the normal direction, which is screwed to outer frame 1204 by means of screw 1213.

Here, the lateral direction 1221 is defined as a direction parallel to the plane of the window glass 1211. The normal direction 1222 is defined as a direction oriented perpendicular, i.e., orthogonal, to the plane of the window glass 1211.

The fastening element 1218 here projects perpendicularly to the fastening element 1219, so that the two fastening elements 1218, 1219 can be screwed onto the corners of the outer frame 1204. As an alternative to screwing, another connection, such as riveting, clamping or gluing, etc., can also be used. For this purpose, suitable connecting elements can be used instead of the screws 1213 shown.

On the other lateral end 1233, a further fastening element, namely a third fastening element 1224 is provided, which third fastening element 1224 is used, for example, to fasten the upholstery 1216. Here, the third fastening element 1224 is designed as a recess which is designed to be unilaterally open in the normal direction 1222. In this recess, for example, components of the exterior trimming piece 1216 or fastening elements can be engaged in order to fasten the exterior trimming piece 1216. The depression is preferably a groove in cover profile 1215.

Adjacent to the third fastening element 1224, a fourth fastening element 1225 is provided, which fourth fastening element 1225 is used, for example, to fasten a sealing element 1226. The fourth fastening element 1225 is here designed as a depression which is designed to be open on one side in the normal direction 1222 and open in the direction of the window pane 1211. In this recess, for example, a component of the sealing element 1226 can engage in order to fix the sealing element 1226 to the cover profile 1215. The depression is preferably a groove in cover profile 1215. The sealing element 1226 is intended to be pressed against the pane 1211.

A fifth fastening element 1227 is also provided on the first lateral end 1220, which serves to fasten the sealing element 1228. The sealing element 1228 is optional and may alternatively be secured in other ways. The fifth fastening element 1227 is here designed as a depression which is designed to be open on one side in the lateral direction 1221 and open in the direction of the window pane 1211. In this recess, for example, a component of a sealing element can engage in order to fix the sealing element on the cover profile 1215, but this is not shown. Instead, a sealing element 1228 is provided on the outer frame 1204 and between the outer frame 1204 and the window glass 1211. The sealing element 1228 is preferably bonded to the outer frame 1204 and/or to the window 1211.

Between the fourth 1225 and fifth 1227 fastening elements, a straight section 1229 of the cover profile 1215 is provided.

The exterior trim 1216 together with the covering profile 1215 covers the entire window frame with the outer frame 1204, seen from the outside, so that the building 1203, seen from the outside, has windows installed without a visible frame.
