1. A composition for cleaning a surface and/or for detecting organic matter in or on a solution comprising

a) At least one salt of permanganic acid, ferric acid and/or chromic acid,

b) at least one organic phosphonate, and

c) at least one persulfate salt,

wherein the at least one organic phosphonate has the general formula (I)

Wherein R is1Is an organic moiety, X1Is OH or OM1And X2Is OH or OM2Wherein M is1And M2Represents an alkali metal ion or an ammonium ion wherein the organic moiety R1Is one or more substituted or unsubstituted C1-C12Alkyl moiety, C3-C10Cycloalkyl moiety or C6-C14(ii) an aryl moiety, wherein the organic moiety can be attached to 1 to 3 additional phosphonate groups of formula (I).

2. The composition of claim 1, wherein said C is1-C12Alkyl moiety, C3-C10Cycloalkyl moiety or C6-C14Aryl moiety by C1-C6Alkyl moieties and/or OH moieties.

3. The composition according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the at least one organic phosphonate is selected from the group consisting of 1-hydroxyethane- (1, 1-diphosphonic acid), 2-phosphonobutane-1, 2, 4-tricarboxylic acid and salts thereof, preferably an alkali metal salt.

4. The composition according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the at least one salt of permanganate, ferrate and/or chromic acid is an alkali metal salt, preferably selected from the group consisting of potassium permanganate, potassium ferrate and potassium dichromate.

5. The composition according to any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the at least one persulfate is a salt of peroxydisulfuric acid or peroxymonosulfuric acid.

The composition according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the at least one persulfate is a peroxodisulfate salt selected from the group consisting of sodium peroxodisulfate, potassium peroxodisulfate and ammonium peroxodisulfate and/or a peroxomonosulfate salt selected from the group consisting of potassium peroxomonosulfate.

7. The composition according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the composition comprises at least one calcium salt, preferably selected from the group consisting of calcium nitrate.

The composition according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the composition comprises the at least one salt of permanganic acid, ferric acid and/or chromic acid in a weight ratio to the at least one organic phosphonate of from 1:50 to 1:500, preferably from 1:75 to 1:300, even more preferably from 1:100 to 1: 200.

9. The composition of any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the composition is an aqueous composition.

10. The composition according to any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein the composition comprises more than 50 wt.%, preferably more than 70 wt.%, even more preferably more than 90 wt.% of water.

The composition according to claim 9 or 10, wherein the aqueous composition comprises from 0.1 to 2 wt. -%, preferably from 0.2 to 1.5 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.3 to 1 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.4 to 0.8 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.4 to 0.6 wt. -%, even more preferably 0.5 wt. -% of at least one further oxidizing agent.

The composition according to any one of claims 9 to 11, wherein the aqueous composition comprises from 0.01 to 1 wt. -%, preferably from 0.02 to 0.9 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.05 to 0.8 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.075 to 0.7 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.1 to 0.6 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.2 to 0.6 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.3 to 0.6 wt. -% of at least one organophosphonate.

13. The composition according to any one of claims 9 to 12, wherein the aqueous composition comprises from 0.1 to 3 wt.%, preferably from 0.2 to 2 wt.%, more preferably from 0.3 to 1 wt.% of at least one calcium salt.

14. The composition of any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the composition is substantially free of water.

15. The composition according to any one of claims 1 to 8 or 14, wherein the composition comprises less than 20 wt.%, preferably less than 10 wt.%, even more preferably less than 5 wt.%, even more preferably less than 1 wt.% of water.

16. The composition of any one of claims 1 to 15, wherein the composition comprises at least one alkali hydroxide.

17. The composition of claim 16, wherein the at least one alkali hydroxide is NaOH, KOH, or LiOH.

18. The composition according to claim 16 or 17, wherein the aqueous composition comprises from 0.1 to 5 wt. -%, preferably from 0.2 to 3 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.3 to 1.5 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.4 to 1 wt. -%, even more preferably from 0.4 to 0.8 wt. -%, even more preferably 0.5 wt. -% of at least one alkaline hydroxide.

19. A kit for cleaning a surface and/or for detecting organic matter in or on a solution comprising

a1) A container comprising the composition of any one of claims 1 to 15, and

b1) a container containing at least one alkali hydroxide, or

a2) A container comprising the at least one alkali metal salt of permanganate, ferrate and/or chromic acid as defined in claim 4,

b2) a container comprising the at least one organic phosphonate as defined in any one of claims 1 to 3 and optionally the at least one persulfate as defined in any one of claims 5 or 6, and

c2) a container comprising at least one alkali hydroxide.

20. The kit of claim 19, wherein the at least one alkali hydroxide is NaOH, KOH, or LiOH.

21. A method for cleaning a surface and/or detecting organic matter in or on a solution, comprising the steps of:

contacting the composition according to any one of claims 1 to 18 or a composition obtainable by mixing the components of container a1 and container b1 or container a2, container b2 and container b3 with a surface to be cleaned or a surface or a solution on or in which an organic substance to be detected is present.

22. Use of the organic phosphonate as defined in any of claims 1 to 3 for stabilizing a salt of permanganic acid, ferric acid and/or chromic acid in a composition, preferably an aqueous composition.
